We just wrapped up a pollinator-friendly landscaping project with Lunseth and are very pleased with the outcome. Our front garden bed and boulevard strip are now a visually appealing mix of native grasses and plants that both bees and humans will love! Additionally we established some lovely rock paths so folks in the neighborhood can still access the sidewalk from the street. The result is fantastic... better than we had envisioned! Beyond their high quality of work, what I appreciated most about the team at Lunseth was how genuinely friendly and communicative everyone was with us at every step of the project, from estimation through execution. Once onsite, folks were even comfortable with taking brief moments for friendly interactions that could expand beyond the immediate task at hand. For me, this level of communication goes a long way towards solidifying relationships and building trust. I very much appreciate it and like to work with people who share those values. We had an interesting nuance to our yard that we asked for help with during the project. The team was comfortable with proposing exploratory work to assess and correct the situation. I was very impressed with how they navigated that complexity, thankfully their efforts resulted in the best case outcome AND came in under budget! Based on this immensely positive experience, I'd be quite comfortable planning a larger scale landscaping or hardscaping project with Lunseth. Our yard looks simply fabulous. Organic Lawns by Lunseth is the best! In our opinion, nothing tops its quality.
We had Organic Lawns by Lunseth install a permeable paver patio, retaining wall, walkway and fence at our house and were thrilled with the results. We had some challenging grades and drainage issues on our property and I was impressed at how much time they spent during the build phase getting the details around that just right. It would have been easy for them to just speed through and call it good enough but they really took their time to dial it in perfectly which I really appreciated. They had great communication, they showed up when they said they would and did what they said they'd do (and more!) and cleaned up the site at the end of each day. I can't recommend them enough.
This company has been providing my lawn maintenance for over3 years. They are very customer friendly. They always send an email detailing that they will be doing AND the date it will be done' weather permitting. They are very understanding whenever I havehad aquestion.
Our association has used Lunseth for lawn and snow service for a number of years. Their snow removal services in particular are terrible. They do not clear snow - they drive a skid loader to the top of the driveway (leaving tire tracks of course), put the bucket down and then pull the snow backwards. This does not remove snow, it skims it, leaving a thick layer of hard, compacted snow which quickly turns to ice. Eventually they get the snow to the edge of the driveway but not off the driveway, they leave large piles of compacted snow covering 1-2 feet on the edge of the driveway. Anyone in our association that cares about having a clean driveway has to shovel their driveway after Lunseth "clears" it to get as much of the compacted snow they leave behind off as possible. Given the extraordinary amount of money we pay them we should not have to shovel our driveways to remove the snow they didn't. I would not recommend Lunseth, their rates are high and the quality of service is low. In response, I am quite aware that our association requires use of a poly blade. That is not the issue. The issue is that the blade is not effectively being used when snow is pulled backward with the bucket down. Our association does not request that snow be pulled in this manner, in fact they have asked specifically that this process not be used, to no avail. That's why we end up with snow being skimmed rather than removed.
Lunseth is a fantastic company to work with. Having experienced their services both on the residential and commercial/multi-family side, they are wonderful. Excellent diversity in equipment, well branded and professional, a breadth of knowledge, a depth of expertise, and always dependable. They are a local and family-owned and operated company you can fully trust.
This was my first year going organic. The services performed were organic fertilization, aeration and overseeding. I was surprised to find these services more affordable than the non-organic service I had been using. My lawn looked great and it felt so great to be following a more natural approach. I’m looking forward to a healthier and healthier lawn year after year.
I’ve been using this service for 3 years and it has DEFINITELY improved our lawn - especially the weeds! Huge reduction in wild violet, clover, creeping Charlie (that one is a slow improvement but the others are quite noticeable) and some other weeds I can’t even identify. They are great at communicating and very friendly, helpful and thorough at the office. We will continue to use them - it’s worth it!

Had spoken with Paul over the phone about our landscaping needs and how I live close to their shop on 98th, when given the address he mentioned oh yeah right over there. Time of appoint, no one came to my home, nobody called me. When I reached out, I feel the replies were rude and unapologetic. I was not offered another appointment. I asked for a referral for my landscaping needs and didnt get a reply. Not impressed by this behavior. *EDIT AFTER RESPONSE* Not only was this response untrue and out of context but I find it highly unprofessional and offensive to blatantly lie like that. I find their behavior unprofessional and dishonest.

These guys rock. Period.
Lunseths give us the greenest lawn on the block and the only one that receives lawn services that I would let me kids roll around on. The crew always shut the gate and are friendly when we see them. Certain treatments have an immediate visible impact, but others such overseeding (as you would expect) take longer. Theyve serviced our yard for a couple years now and I can really see the difference when looking at old pictures.

I dont appreciate any company sticking their unwanted sales literature on my door but I especially dont appreciate a company yelling GO ORGANIC! while polluting an entire neighborhood with their environmentally irresponsible high-gloss high-color sales brochures.

We had the worst lawn on the block. We wanted to do something, but we also wanted to be sure it was safe for our toddler, dog, and all the visitors that park on our street and set up their boats on our boulevard. So we opted for an organic solution. Lunseth has been great. Not only is our lawn now the most green and lush on the block, but they are very interested in our outdoor spaces and how to make them green and safe for our family. The folks at Organic Lawns are friendly, knowledgeable and well organized. They provide literature to explain what treatments are applied throughout the year, and have addressed all of my questions in a timely manner. Although organic, the service is comparable in price to other mainstream feed n weed companies. Though I think you actually get a more for your money with Lunseth as they provide overseeding and aeration as part of the standard fall treatment. Bottom line, try them out and you will likely be glad you did. I know I am.

Shay and team have been very responsive to all of our questions. Definitely starting to see results year two--trying to be patient as organic lawn care doesnt promise immediate weed-free results but takes a few years with the goal being a safe, strong, healthy lawn that chokes out weeds. We have kids, pets, and live in a watershed district and dont want to use chemicals.

Fantastic to work with. The team knows their stuff and - one of my favorite qualities - is great at communication. I always know when theyre coming, why theyre coming, and what to do after theyve worked on my lawn. They use email (I hate the phone), and I can pay my bill online with the click of a button. Oh yeah, and my former disaster of a lawn now looks great. I love their commitment to organic lawn solutions, and I would recommend them to anyone.
Organic Lawns by Lunseth has done wonders on making our lawn look great! Although the price tag is a little more than your traditional lawn care, we think its worth every penny to have Organic, Earth Friendly products used on our lawn. In addition, the customer services is always top notch. Job well done Lunseth!
After doing very little to maintain our lawn we hired Lunseth to do a full organic protocol. We felt it was a little expensive but flatly refused to do the toxic stuff our neighbors use. We have been really surprised at how effective it has been. If results continue to progress in a year or two we should have a lawn that rivals our neighbors, which is pretty amazing when you consider the applications have been things like corn gluten and iron. We have zero concern about runoff nor the food we eat out of our vegetable garden. Also, the customer service is excellent. We know when an application is going to be made in advance so we can adjust our mowing and watering schedule for maximum benefit.

Organic Lawns by Lunseth has been amazing! Our lawn was patchy, weedy, struggling and they gave us a vision and a treatment that worked! We love that we have a green healthy lawn - and that it is chemical free. I cant recommend them highly enough.
Before I contracted with Organic Lawns 3 years ago, I was skeptical. My daughter had used them the year before and I didnt see any noticeable difference in their lawn after one year, but I was desperate. My lawn was overtaken by dandelions, other broadleaf weeds and creeping charlie. After 20 years of trying to get rid of the weeds and creeping charlie organically myself, I was in despair that nothing would work. I was so wrong! Hire these folks!! Know at the outset that youre not going to have that enviable lush lawn until 3-4 years. I added extra liquid iron treatments for the first 2 years (it also works on some creeping charlie), plus the compost tea treatments. Last year, I purchased liquid iron on-line and applied it myself to save some money, but what is a 20 minute job for them, was a 3-4 hour job for me! This year, even before the 4th season with them started, the lawn is incredible! Even my next door neighbor noticed the difference. Across the street, my neighbors hired conventional lawn services, and their lawns dont look as good as mine. Where I hardly had any dandelions this year, they had a ton, even though theyve been spraying their weeds for the same number of years as Ive used Organic Lawns. Make the 3-4+ years commitment with Organic Lawns if you can. You wont regret it.

Havent met them, but all my e-mail communications have been answered in a timely and friendly manner. This was our first season using them so well see how our lawn looks next year. We are moving forward with using them again next year. I like the idea of being able to improve my lawn without doing anything that will endanger any wildlife or insects. What good is having a lush lawn if you kill everything else? I would strongly suggest giving them a try.

Organic Lawns by Lunseth continues to exceed my expectations. They always send me a notification of when they will be providing service and what I should do to my lawn to prepare for their visit (mow, dont mow, water, etc). Im constantly getting complimented on how great my grass looks and it is wonderful to know that it is all being accomplished organically without using any harsh chemicals that have a negative impact on the environment.

Last year I gave up on my lawn. It was dying and becoming a dirt pile, plus we have a dog. Then Organic Lawns by LUNSETH came to rescue. We started with LUNSETH last year and our lawn has come back more than 75% already. Plus there is a lot of small grass popping up in places we never have had grass before. Their service is first rate. We are almost ways notified of when they re coming out and it is communicated what they re doing and what we need to be aware of. We have been so pleased and impressed with this company. We cannot wait to see what our lawn does in the future. Candidly, this is something I should have done years ago. I spent years spending money on lawn product that did a great job but gave me pause for concern about what chemicals were surrounding my home. After just one full season with organic my lawn looks better than it ever has and I ve removed 100% of the concern about what my kids were rolling around in every summer day. The Lunseth staff is prompt and efficient. The investment is worth every single cent.

We just had our first application with Lunseth. We are so impressed by their communication and professionalism, I had to write a review. Its pretty sad that doing what you say youre gonna do, when youre gonna do it, for the price agreed upon is a wow experience, but based on our experiences with other natural lawn and big brand chemical lawn companies weve had over the years, it is a rarity. Its so nice to have someone let you know when theyll arrive, what the treatment will be, reconfirm it, confirm it when theyre on-site, and then follow-up with a record of service. Before we had to track down our provider & remind them, double check that they werent charging us for non-services or double charging us. Were hoping to have good results & looking forward to using them for many years to come! Update: After our first season with Lunseth, we remain very happy with their services & communication. Our lawn looked great all summer, and hopefully even better next summer!
Did a full season of organic lawn care with Lunseth, and it shows. Grass is green and thick and I get lots of wild visitors that are fun to watch (and its good to know theyre safe!) Theres lots of yard treatment signs posted throughout the neighborhood, but none look as good as the yards I see with a Lunseth sign. Already looking forward to next year!
