We've had to have several trees trimmed &/or removed that were leaning way too close to the roof of our sunroom. The crew was great, did a wonderful job & the best part was how well they cleaned up! Thanks guys!!
These guys used to be good, then all of a sudden this year they decided they aren't doing our fence line. They literally were just here yesterday and this is how they left the fence line. We've told them multiple times about it, they said they would get it but never do.
Estimate process was quick and the time to start work was a quick turnaround. We had landscaping around pool done and added a pathway to the pool off of an existing patio. We were very pleased with the work. Definitely recommend using.
The overall completion of the project was good although they did not perform mulch reduction as was requested on the quote and when they removed weeds from our rock garden, they did not replace the rocks they had removed. As a consumer, you should make sure you fully understand their policies before hiring them. Their coupon policy is firm in that if you don't present the coupon (which may not be a paper coupon; meaning you need to show the virtual coupon on your computer to the quote specialist) at the time of quote, you will not receive the 10% discount. There are also scheduling policies that should be understood before hiring them as well. When you give them a deposit for the work, they will give you a 14 day window within which they will start the work. They will not call you before showing up at your home. This can be of concern if you have to take precautions (like bringing your dogs inside) to ensure the safety of their employees while the work is being performed.
I moved into my home in November and the lawn was a mess. I called Marksmen in May because they do the mowing in my community. They advised me and gave me an estimate on what needed to be done. Most of the cost was for weeding and trimming bushes. The price was right and a few days later a crew showed up and got to work. My lawn looks so much better and I am on an ongoing program to bring back the grass. I highly recommend them and will use them again for any future work. They did a professional job and are very nice people to deal with very good customer service.
This company is not for residential use. We got a quote for the front lawn to have a flower bed (bulbs) and decorative stones removed, the lawn leveled to cover hazardous roots from a tree, the hedges trimmed, and new seeding completed; the cost was nearly $1,000.00. Over the next several weeks, the following things became clear about the work that was completed: The lawn was leveled with dirt that contained bits of plastic, glass, and small stones. Approximately two weeks after the work was completed, the flowers in the flower bed began popping through the new dirt, which means the bulbs were not pulled, only mowed over and covered. When contacted that the hedges were not completed, the responding employee said that the woman he spoke with must have misunderstood the (written) quote we received. All of the anti-eroding dirt that was used to level, did in fact erode away, so all of the tree roots are uncovered again. As the dirt has continued to erode away, it has become clear that all of the rocks in the flower bed were not removed, again only covered with dirt. The vast majority of the grass seeds did not take to this dirt, leaving the vast majority of the lawn with no grass. The company’s commercial properties/jobs look fantastic, which is the reason we chose to work with them, however I would whole heartedly not recommend this company for a residential property.
We hired Marksmen do remove dirt, mulch, and wood chips from a garden bed that recently had trees cut down and we decided to decrease the size of it. They were supposed to level the area with the rest of the yard. The first issue we had is I specifically asked if this will be scheduled after finalizing down payment, I was told yes. After dropping off my spouse at the airport, I returned to marksmen working on the yard. No big deal but already a red flag in communication. Approximately 1.5 hours after returning, I look outside and they’re gone. My spouse and I spent multiple days and hours working on that bed and saw little progress. There’s no way they are done after 2.5 hours max. The garden bed is still very obviously higher than the remainder of the yard and they spread out SO MUCH soil on top of healthy grass that didn’t need leveling. They were hired to REMOVE dirt and instead we paid a hefty chunk for it to barely look any different than before. When my spouse returned from her trip and was able to see the final product, she returned their call to give feedback, as they asked for. The clerk wasn’t happy to hear negative feedback despite asking how our experience was. They then acted as though we were reluctant to pay even though I was told payment would come out in full on the card used for down payment. We asked for a manager to call so we could explain where our disappointment was since the clerk insisted there’s nothing they can do. The clerk even said “well it rained” as if rain makes dirt appear on top of an area that’s been noticeably higher than the rest of the yard. Still no call from management. We paid, as we planned to, but we wanted to speak with a manager to have someone come out to give their professional opinion of their teams work at the least. We’re not looking for a discount or anything free. Merely just giving our feedback about a job they were hired to do and failed to deliver on. Then I come here to leave a review and realize this tends to be a trend and makes total sense now. I would not recommend this company because they had multiple opportunities to make this a better experience and failed in every aspect. It takes a lot for me to leave a review and I’m very easy going and let average work slide. This was below average as was their customer support.
We have been using Marksmen Landscaping for over 5 years and have been very happy with their work. They are dependable, reasonably priced and do a thorough job. They do our lawn maintenance and fertilization every year. This year we also had a spring clean-up done. There was a lot of debris (twigs, branches, etc.) and the flower beds were packed with leaves. Marksmen did an excellent job in cleaning the property up.
Used Marksman for the first time for my sprinkler start up. The gentleman they sent was very friendly and courteous would highly recommend their service.
Did some great work in my yard. Cleared out years of old debris and continues to maintain the lawn weekly. Quite affordable.

I use Marksmen for our community lawn service every year. They also handle our snow removal service. Marksmen is a hard working group of employees. They follow the schedule for weekly lawn care, and do a great job removing snow when required, no matter what time of day or night. Two thumbs up!
I have used Marksmen for the last three years for my lawn fertilization and maintenance. I find them to be reliable and professional. I also feel that my lawn looks better than it ever did when I had landscapers who charged higher fees and always seemed to be trying to upsell me services I didnt want or need. Marksmen has never tried to do that and I appreciate it. I highly recommend Marksmen.

Great company for lawn care. I live in an HOA that provides mowing, but I have chosen Marksmen for my 7 step fertilization care schedule. I have been happy with the results. Billing is easy especially using the online payment process.

Please avoid this company for landscaping at all costs. They do landscaping for a development I recently moved out of, and they could never deliver on the simple tasks while causing damage to properties in the process. They rarely cut my lawn at even lengths. They left trash on the curbs after they left. They broke my gate handle and denied doing so. They also ran over my Christmas laser projector while collecting leaves 2 years ago. Terribly ran company.

I m going to cancel my service completely. Between the absolute rude behavior I received on the phone all the way to them not communicating what day I m put on the schedule to being charged full price for a job half done. I have NEVER been treated so poorly especially being a new customer. Because I had my gate locked they did not cut my backyard. Still charging me full price and no one called me to tell me to have it unlocked on mondays. No one knocked on my door as a courtesy to ask me to unlock my gate. This is one of the most unprofessional company s I have had the displeasure to work with! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

I needed some upgrading to our already existing landscaping...sort of like a facelift. Called, made an appointment for an estimate, Ryan came out told him what I wanted and gave me a very reasonable price. Didnt need the work done until end of April, beginning of May, but they were able to schedule me earlier. The crew arrived, with Walt and Chris, and they went over again as to what I wanted just to make sure they were removing the correct bushes! Had the job done in a matter of hours. Looks like a totally different house. They were respectful to our property, receptive to my suggestions and cleaned up any debris. Did a nice job of leaf cleanup too! Thank you.
Great response, awesome service. If you are looking for a landscaper, go with a company that has the ability to do everything the right way, when you need it done. Marksman meets that expectation!
Just had my yard cleaned and mulched. The guys did a Great Job, Yard looks Great, and everything was cleaned up afterwards.
I can not even begin to communicate well enough why you MUST NOT use this company. Everything from the work that was done to the poor communication to how rude the inside person is. Please do yourself a favor and pass on this company. The customer is always wrong in their eyes. If you need a company that will back up their work no matter what DO NOT use Marksmen. The are so far off the bullseye its unreal. What a waste of thousands of dollars.
When I contacted Marksmen for an estimate for landscaping on the side of my townhouse, they came out right away. Ryan was very honest and gave me some ideas of what could be done with my landscaping. The price was reasonable. Once they came out to do the job, it was completed and Ryan stayed around to make sure that I was satisfied. As a matter of fact, I am using them to change the landscaping at the front of my property. I would recommend using Marksmen for all landscaping needs.
Marksmen is by far the best landscaping company in the area. Efficent, respectable and extremely friendly. Im literally mind boggled that anyone can say a bad thing about them. Theyve cut my lawn for years, planted my garden, redid pavers and never had an issue. Even to my animals they showed respect. One job they did that took multiple days to complete, they came and gave my dog and my cats treats everyday. Best company around.
I live in apt complex with small patch of grass outside our door and around the back outside our bedroom. When cleaning up afterwards, the lawn crew pays no attention to where they point their leaf blowers. They blow dirt into our apts through our open windows. Several complaints to Marksman have gotten no response. I even get ignored by the crew leader on site when confronted.
After having a poor experience with a different local landscaping service I decided to switch to Marksmen. Since I made the switch I have been very pleased with both the quality and efficiency of the work. All of the staff that I have interacted with thus far have been very professional and pleasant. They are very responsive to inquires and have excellent communication I have had estimates done for lawn cutting and landscaping projects and their prices are fair and the quality of the work has been outstanding.
If you are looking for a landscaper, I would look elswhere. This company is unreliable, misleading, and unprofessional. We purchased a few cypress trees from MARKSMEN who also planted them in our backyard in April 2020. Approximately 4 weeks later, the trees began to turn brown and eventually ended up dying. MARKSMEN was not very helpful, gave poor advice and never accepted responsibility for the trees dying. After meeting with us regarding this issue, they ultimately would not respond to our emails or phone calls. At the end of September 2020 we had the dead trees removed by another landscaper and they showed us why the trees died MARKSMEN never removed the mesh wrap and metal wiring from the root-ball of the trees! This was a very frustrating experience, especially because they were not very willing to rectify the situation. Save yourself time and money, do your research on the company you hire, and read all reviews before making your landscaper selection. Hope this feedback helps someone from encountering a similar situation.
Use at your own risk the customer service is the worst they pick the jobs that they want to do. If you have a small project they will decline to do the work. There prices are over priced and the flowers and plants look like they got them from Home Depot. STAY AWAY

Had a great experience with Marksman. Owner Anthony was very professional and friendly. He Supervised the work on my property. Landscapers did an outstanding job making my gardens pop. My wife and I were truly impressed. Took out all weeds, mulched and soiled. Cleaned up very nicely. Would highly recommend and will utilize next time. Mark-Sickerville.
Was told to give me an estimate in 48 hours. Never got an estimate or a phone call saying they can t make it. Extremely unprofessional company.

Had flower beds cleaned out and mulched. Crew did excellent work and the price was reasonable. This is the 2nd time I ve used Marksmen for this job, I wouldn t hesitate to use them again.
Shame on them. A person with time could have done the job better. Amatuer work at expert prices. We should put signage up saying whose work this is and the price so they know who not to call
Great people great work
Customer Service sucks! The lawn cutters made ruts they refused to fix the issue. So we said we will not pay until fixed. Marksmen said they will not fix it and canceled our properties. They will never have our business again!

We have always had good experiences with Marksmen. They maintain our lawn, landscaping and sprinkler system.
Recently hired to mulch my property and they did an excellent job.
Our lawn is absolutely gorgeous, it looks like a golf course. No weeds beautiful color. We have used a few other landscapers in the past and it always looked awful. They use quality products and do such a great job, even with the mowing, I would recommend them highly.

Avoid this place at all costs!! They provided me a quote for specific work, had me completely removed all landscape brick and then showed up with no desire to stand by their quote! The invoice for work to be done was as clear as can be and they failed to honor their own written quote. Avoid this company and their shady tactics!!
After we spent over and hour getting an estimate done, they never returned our calls for over two weeks to have the work done. Dont waste your time.
I do not recommend this business. They do not hold themselves responsible when they create damage to a customers property.
