Multiple contract companies never showed. Parent (LawnStarter) customer service didnt respond/care. Waste of time.

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. I signed up-waited 5 days to then have my mow be canceled. They sent another crew out who said they were on there way. 3 hours later-never showed up. The most unreliable lawn service ever.

Do not use this service. If possible, I would give no stars. The original crew did not show up, a new crew was assigned almost a week later, and now the company is trying to charge a long grass fee. The job was marked as completed by the crew but they did not cut the backyard, and the front yard they did cut, was done terribly. The crew uploaded pictures to validate the long grass report and some of the pics were not even my property. This company is not worth the time required to have a terrible, delayed yard service.

Scheduled lawn mowing service two dudes show up with a push mower do 4 strips in my yard and left. Didn t even tell us why they left lol. Don t recommend at all. My yard is mostly clover so it s not hard to cut.

Wouldnt recommend for anyone. For $70 (overpriced) they only mowed our grass. No weedeating, no edging, and no closing the gates behind them either so our dog got loose. Would give it no stars if I could.

Awful quality service and wayyyy overcharged. Also after you cancel, they ll still continue to send their crew to walk around your backyard unannounced and try to get more money out of you. Total scam. Hire someone local yourself.

I was just trying to see how much I could get someone to cut my grass for and i received about 47 diff texts from $19-$80. Didnt even ask any details about how much i need to get cut, how high was it.. Nothing. Didnt even have to show a picture of my yard. This company is BS. Bc if I would of hired someone for $19 they would of been mad when they got here bc they would of had to cut more than a acre of grass.. Lol

I inquired about getting my yard cut. Long story short, they only contract people out who use push mowers and don t cut over 1 acre. My yard is nearly 2. After clearing that up they continue to spam text me offering me half off even though my yard isn t able to be cut by them. I can t get it to stop. The final straw....they call me at 9pm and wake me up just as I had fallen to sleep and am now leaving this review at 9:05pm. This business is extremely unprofessional, inconsiderate, and useless to me yet continue to harass me. If they work well for you, good. If you don t actually plan to use them don t contact them or you ll never get rid of them.

LawnStarter. Is a company that provides quality work. I highly recommend this company based on the services that I received. Patrick did an excellent job in doing my yard cleanup and mowing of the grass. Oh yeah, I am especially thankful that their prices are affordable. I signed up for the maintance plan to keep mowing my grass every two weeks. Added. Unfortunately this company didnt live up to expectations To mow my yard every two weeks. They just kept rescheduling. Just moved on to someone else.

Impossible to reach anyone at LawnStarter. The crews do the absolute bare minimum and are unreliable.

I was just scammed by this company! I hired them to cut the lawn of a vacant house I own in another city. Twice a month I received a text message telling me the crew was on the way to cut my lawn. Twice a month I received a text message telling me the job was completed. Twice a month my account was charged for the service. When I was in town and went to the property, it was obvious that the lawn had not been cut for months. I complained. I sent pictures of the lawn to customer service. They agreed it had obviously not been cut in months, but they have a five-day dispute policy. They will only refund one payment. There is nothing they can do. I am out hundreds of dollars for imaginary lawn care. I am still waiting for answers on how this happened.

The worst. Zero stars is more accurate. Unreliable, scheduled to cut grass weekly for over a month, showed up once. If you like tall grass, this is your lawncare company.

Arrived promptly and did an excellent job. My grass was out of control and they handled it wonderfully!

I dont recommend this company at all. I set up my first appointment, no one showed up. Then the company had the nerve to completely cancel my service. So I called to figure out what happened and they told me that no one accepted the job so I could reschedule for the following week. I rescheduled, STILL NO SHOW. And they canceled my service yet again. Finding a better company!!!!

Guy charged me out of pocket $300 and only cut 3/4 of my yard. Then that app charged me for 2 days didnt even show up, in order for him to cut the last 1/4 of the yard remaining, he told me it would be a additional $250. He bought two pish mowers and made something up about saying the guy with the riding lawnmower will let him borrow it to cut my yard if I paid him $250, I found someone after a week later who cute my whole yard for $150. He has his own business and Ill use him from now own. Lawn Starter was a waist of time and money. Would not recommend.

I called about getting a quote. I decided to go with another company so I called them back to let them know that I wouldn t need their service and the sales rep was so incredibly rude and pushy. It was beyond annoying. Definitely glad I didn t go with them - especially after reading other reviews

Do not use this company. They double charged me for one service, did a poor job with clen up, which they charged $120, and only finished the front. They also refuse to email me an itemized list of services. The only thing theyre good at is charging your debit card.

I do not recommend this company. They were very unorganized and poorly managed. They canceled with us the day AFTER they were scheduled to perform service.

Please do not use this service. Your yard will be messed up! The guy only did half our yard, left clippings everywhere, broke a lamp. It looked terrible! Then the guy harassed me weeks after because I ended up hiring another company to fix his mistakes.

Shady business practices... they will find any reason to charge you the ridiculous long grass (over 6 inches) fee, which is the same amount as the lawn mowing fee. Then if you contest the charge, which they dont inform you about before hand they just charge your credit card, they will send you pictures of grass with no background proving it was your lawn. Crooks! I would not recommend LawnStarter lawn care service to anyone and will highly discourage anyone from doing business with them.

I can say that my mow was pretty decent but it s sad that you have to babysit a professional to make sure there s no damage to your property! I have 2 large holes in the siding on the back of my home that they claim was done prior but the damage was reported in between services and no other company has been out to my house since using lawn starter. If you re not going to be home each time the crew comes out to your home, then you should definitely look elsewhere!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE THEIR WORKERS HAVE BEEN TRESPASSING ON OUR PROPERTY FOR WEEKS AND HAVE CAUSE PROPERTY DAMAGES OVER $200 We did not feel comfortable while we were signing up for this service. Something seemed off - sketchy. But we did anyway, against our better judgement. We waited a few weeks and then someone showed up at our house completely unannounced at 7AM trying to do a quote for us. We sent him away and immediately cancelled our service through the app. (We were charged for a cutting.) Apparently the app wasnt working properly because they sent someone out again a week or so later. This person also showed up completely unannounced, and we sent him away as well (again, we were charged for a service). At least those two lawn care technicians had knocked on our door. The THIRD PERSON (again we had cancelled through he app, and we also told the 2nd person they sent out to cancel our service) didnt knock on the door and instead started cutting our lawn without permission. When we originally talked to the company, we explained that no one was to be in the front yard where my vegetable garden and other projects are. We specified that mowers should only access the area beside the sidewalks and the back yard. None of that information was communicated to the THIRD PERSON they sent out (seriously trespassing at this point since the company had been told multiple times at this point to stay away) so he began cutting where he wasnt supposed to and did over $200 worth of property damage to plants I had specially ordered from out of state as well as some prized plants my grandmother had given me and also fruits and vegetables that he mowed over with impunity. I dont blame the individual. He shouldnt have been sent by LawnStarter in the first place, and even if they did send him by mistake, he should have had the information we provided them to prevent this exact scenario from playing out. Its also worth mentioning that all three of these lawn care specialists were also upset with LawnStarter, decrying their lack of communication. Now weve been charged THREE TIMES for a service we cancelled before anyone ever started - a service that has only been performed once and resulted in over $200 worth of property damage. I filled out a property damage report including photos and receipts, and I spoke directly to customer service who assured me someone would reach out in 24 hours, and its been almost 3 days. False advertising. Have Nextdoor under free service to post in app. After I post to recommend this business, was told unable get credit because it s only 3 for life time. Been with this company over year and was never told this before. Find it quite strange that after I file an insurance claim with them for broken window, now all of sudden it s a limit. When other ppl I know have gotten more than 3 discount. If it s truly a limit, then it s false advertising to list in your App for customers.

I have been using their service for a little while now and they were mowing my lawn every 2 weeks. Sometimes they were late and it would be 3 weeks between cuts (which I was ok with). Recently I was informed that one of their employees either quit or was fired. Along with this news I was told that LawnStarters no longer had an employee in my area so they could no longer maintain my yard. I asked if they could possibly send someone to cut it one last time since fall is coming and it probably would be the last cut it ould need until next year. They informed me that they could not so they just left me hanging amd now my grass is extremely tall and I have had difficulty finding someone to mow my yard. I find it unprofessional to just leave your clients hanging and more than that making absolutely no attempt to rectify the situation is absolutely ridiculous. If it was possible to rate this company lower than 1 star I would have done that. One star is extremely to high for this company.

I am sorry to say this, and I rarely post negative reviews, but I dont want anyone else to have trouble with this company. Initially, we were pleased with the service, and we were quoted lower prices. In the last two months, we have been billed for services 3 separate times when our cuts were not even done. Given the pandemic, weve been home and will see our app say that someone came by, when no one truly came and performed the lawn mowing. We have called the company and asked to send someone soon, because we are having pictures taken of our house to sell, and we have been promised one thing and seen the other. We have moved our house pictures two separate times. I went ahead and canceled my services today, because I just cant trust the company. The worst aspect of this is the woman on the phone today had no remorse, and she didnt seem to care she was losing a customer. In the future, Ive learned my lesson. I will choose someone who may charge more but is dependable. Please, dont go with these services.

My first time using LawnStarter and I was more than pleased. Monte was great, did everything needed to make my lawn look presentable. And LawnStarter is so much easier to deal with than trying to find a local kid or landscaping crew in the area. They tell you how much before hand and you can pay within the app!

Great app, and easy to use. Very quickly received fair pricing and had a service lined up within hours. On the second visit the contractor could not complete the job because of a torrential rain and he was able to communicate with me via the app to let me know he would be back first thing the next morning. As promised he finished up the next day. Highly recommend.

While hes out in the blistering heat, he knows whats needed and gets it done and Im inside with air conditioning. This is the most reliable company or lawn care provider that Ive ever used in over in 25 yrs. RECOMMENDED 4 Sure!

If I could get $1000 a week worth of yards to do. I wouldnt have to worry about other work that interferes with my lawns. I would be able to maintain my equipment properly and upgrade. I have a hard time keeping gas in my vehicle and equipment with what I have. Yet I see the same ad $1000 a week everyday. Heck I would be happy with $500 a week. $29 is my next check. Doesnt even cover my gas for Tuesday and Wednesday. Thats ok God will take care of me eventually

Lawnstarter is a total SCAM!!!! They took my credit card info, scheduled a date to cut my lawn, prompted me to post a good prewritten review, then just canceled the date & deactivated my account. They claim there are no providers in this area but the advertisement claimed 47 of my neighbors are currently using them. I had a $35 credit and a first cut for $19. They cancelled the cut and I lost the $35 credit. I received an email instructing me to reactivate my account and now the first cut is $33. Do not use this company! Now I have to once again look for a lawn cutter by the end of this week

John from Lawnstarter always shows up when he says. He works hard and always does a fantastic job on my yard. I couldn t be anymore pleased about how professional he is. I will continue to use these guys over anyone else in my area.

Its a good system. I think they still have a couple kinks to work through that could make it slightly easier to use, but they have recently included more options with scheduling, like allowing for a monthly mow. Overall a good experience. I think the lawn usually looks better after they mow and clean up edges than how its ever looked when one of us did it.

The back yard is cut ad edged well and looks good especially after the first time Steve came when the weeds were tall. He doesnt take long and it is clean when he leaves.

This is the worst service for lawn care ever! Individuals reschedule on average 3 times before they show up, and the work, if ever complete, is not acceptable.

I dont know why service would be so much better for 5 people than it was for me. The crew didnt bother to show up and I had to tell them that. No one contacted me. Then the second crew quit after one mow. Then they sent a third crew to mow a week early. I dont know what a trust and safety fee is, but its on my bill. Be prepared to pay double for grass over 6 inches. I do NOT recommend this company.

This is my second time using Lawn Starter lawn services. Each service has been great in regards towards the lawn service. They have been great at mowing my lawn in an efficient and timely manner. I enjoy the lawn services offered and will continue to use them.

This was our first time using lawnstarter and had a wonderful experience. We were picked up by Cory Tucker and had our entire yard cut, bushes trimmed, and beds deweeded. Him and his crew went above and beyond. They cut every bush in the front yard even without us asking. Would recommended lawnstarter and Cory Tucker to anyone!

We ve been using Ryan at LawnStarter for the past couple of months. He s done exceptional work. The lawn looks great right up to the next mowing. Always crisply edged and clippings are cleaned up off driveway and walkway. Great communication.
