We had hard scape and landscaping done. The team gave us what we wanted and more. All involved were knowledgeable and very courteous.

Weve had 3 recent services provided by New Castle. 1 - Juan and his partner just started cutting our grass weekly. For their first time here, our lawn was rough (hadnt been cut since last Oct./Nov.). They worked hard and the yard looked AMAZING. Since they worked so hard the first time, their second cut was a breeze for them...... and again, it was great. Then, Eddie and his crew did the Spring Clean up of our back yard. Wow, what a difference. We have our oasis back again. Carl was also here to spray all our plants. Theyre looking great, also. In all my dealings with the New Castle folks, either in person or over the phone, they have been great to deal with.

This has been a difficult year with Newcastle. They have failed to meet our expectations. When we sent a letter to engage on the issues we are facing, we were met with silence. We will be going elsewhere for lawncare next year.

Ive been using New Castle L&L for more than 10 years. They are experts in lawn service, plant care, hardscape and all related areas. You can count on the job being done right the first time but if for some reason you arent satisfied they will certainly address your concerns and questions. I like the service so much I use them for my organization as well!

I use the service solely for mowing grass, edging, and weed control. Extremely reliable and flexible to meet your needs. If you choose not to have grass cut for that week, they comply. And dont obligate you to pay for services you dont need.

Certain plants I had specified were not taken care of and certain plants I specified not to uproot were uprooted. The rest they did a good job with but not worth the price I paid.

Fifteen years or more pavers surrounding our many beds needed to be replaced or reset. New Castle staff worked two full days, resetting the pavers and cementing them in place. Then filled in edges with dirt and seed, ready for another 20 or more years, I hope. Great job--it looks wonderful!

Sam and his crew did an excellent job with efficiency. After job cleanup was well planned and complete. Sam and his crew were a pleasure to have working in my yard.

Missed a large area

Im so thrilled with the excellent service we have received. The consistency and attention to detail is always on point, staff is very friendly and our yard looks amazing. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

We wanted a small retaining wall replaced and our front yard top dressed and seeded after having two trees removed. At first there was a mix up on the wall materials but that was addressed and the work just completed. The wall looks fantastic, the rest of the mulch bed was edged, new mulch put down and the lawn dressed, seeded and straw placed down. All in all, very pleased with the service and quality of work and would recommend them.

It took forever for them to come to do the first treatment. I understand they want to do all the yards in an area, but it took forever!!! And I had to message them to find out what was going on. Not good!

This business is amazing, they listened to your ideas, their men were polite and cleaned up when they were finished each day, they delivered on everything they told us they would do. They kept you informed on what was next by e-mail. And in the end the results were better than I could have imagined. Love, love love their work!!!

Very satisfied

This was my first year with New Castles weed killing/fertilizer program. The traditional weeds Ive had past issues with were a thing of the past. The fertilizer also helped nurse my lawn through a couple droughts and my grass came back thick and colorful once we got rains again. As we soon enter the fall/winter dormant season, my grass has never looked better!!

Newcastle has done two projects for us over the last few years - a deck and a dry-stone garden wall. Both projects came out very nice and we a pleased with their work. The employees who worked on the projects were courteous and showed up on time. They also worked straight through on the projects without any gaps. Newcastle isnt the least expensive contractor, but their work is high quality.

I have been using New Castle for years! Customer Service is a standout trait for them. My lawn has gone from spotty and brown to a lovely green . Excellent! The Leyland Cypress required an extensive trimming. The job was completed in two days as forecasted. The men doing the trimming behaved in a professional, honest and friendly manner.

I have been a New Castle customer for over ten years and they have been great to work with since Day 1. They have done landscape design & maintenance, hardscaping, tree maintenance & removal, lawn care, field water conservation seeding, and likely other things for us I cant remember. Always professional, knowledgable, personable, responsible, and trustworthy. Some companies I have dealt with have not been able to maintain those qualities as their firms grew. Thats not the case with New Castle.

The work was done when and how it was promised, and it was professionally done. Even the extra clean up after completion. They also performed fertilizing and weed killing, also with excellent clean up.

To this point everything has been to the detail we were quoted.

New Castle removed a large dead maple tree and 15 oversize yew bushes on the property of Bausman Memorial UCC in Wyomissing and it looks great! They removed stumps, replaced with soil, and seeded and straw just as they quoted. They cleaned up the area and left the property very clean. The office was very friendly and helpful with my billing and payment questions too.

I contracted New Castle to do some plantings for a pollinator garden, and also to clean up the beds around the property. The work was done on time, and as planned. The crew was professional, and didnt hesitate to get my input on things if they had any questions. The work was done quickly, and looks fantastic. UPDATE: Last year when things bloomed, everything came up as expected. Then 6 of 9 catmint plants withered and died by July, and the echinacea arent doing well either. So overall they had about a 40% death rate in less than a year. Not a good investment now.

The crew arrived on time on the date scheduled. They even brought up the trash can which was still at the curb. The crew could not have been nicer or more professional. The only reason this is a 4 star and not a 5 was some difficulties with communicating with the office staff. There were parts of the project that the crew did not know about (but they completed it with out complaint). It also took me calling to have a new estimate sent out after adding to the original scope of the work, even after the estimator came back out to reassess the project. Overall I would use this company again.

Weve had a paver patio and driveway for many years. The bricks were looking dirty and weeds were growing in between. New Castle power washed everything, re-sanded and then re-sealed. It looks like new! The crew was friendly and hard-working. Highly recommend.

These guys did a great job taking down 2 trees hovering over our garage. One tree was especially large and they were careful and professional. The crew were on time, respectful and even repaired the lawn afterwards with soil, grass seed and straw.

Last year they did a fantastic but this year fell far short of expectations. They did a special application on my Ash tree and that was helpful but the shrub and small tree applications were ineffective and I was very disappointed.

The gentleman that came for our first lawn service of the 2021 season was fantastic and went out of his way to fix sod patches that were removed along the driveway during snow plow season. Thank you...the attention to the need was noticed and appreciated.

The crew from NC was excellent. They were quick, efficient, and professional on removing 10 trees with no damage to the rock walls, lawn, or even flowers!

I moved to my house about 8 years ago and spent about 5 years trying to bring the lawn back into decent shape. The previous owners really let the property grow, with weeds well above the windows on the house. There was clover, crabgrass, dandelions and other weeds throughout the majority of the property. I did an ok job but was only able to take care of about 50% of the issues. The rest just didnt want to die out, no matter what I did, it seemed. New Castle was able to handle the weeds and get my lawn in good shape almost immediately. Ive never had an issue with either quality or customer service in the 3 years that I have been with them. I would highly recommend New Castle to anyone who needs professional lawn care.

I am very pleased with stage 1 which was removing some trees and shrubs, trimming overgrown items and generally cleaning up. Everyone who handled my project was top notch. I am looking forward to stages 2 and 3 which will be designing a new and simplified look for my yard and then implementing the design I choose. Stage 3 is now complete. It is exactly what I hoped it would be. I highly recommend New Castle for landscaping.

5 star service. Workers went above and beyond. We had some landscaping done in our back yard and front. They were professional and even pruned our rose bush, trimmed our maple and pulled out our tulips which was an added plus. Would highly recommend!

Our weeping Cherry has a root fungus. The gentleman who sprayed our tree answered several questions we had about the tree. He was knowledgeable and offered suggestions for preventing further problems.

Mathew and his wife Candy saved my butt today. I ran out of gas. Yup, no petrol in the tank. Candy stopped and called Matt who showed up w a can of gas. I was saved. What neither knew was I was on my way to the Hospital. I am an Open Heart patient unable to even walk around my car. Their general open kindness is something we all need. They cared and reached out. They removed several damaged large shrubs without damaging near by plants. Then planted 2 new trees . They put gator bags around my new trees so I can easily water them and give them best possible start.

The best company in the Berks County area

We decided in June 2019 we wanted to put in a pool and an outside entertainment area. I contacted a few local companies and we decided on NC because of their unbelievable customer service. They were amazingly patient with us during all phases of the project. From the 3D design through the construction of the outside entertainment area, which includes a pavilion, bar area, sitting area and outside TV. The professionalism from the design team to the construction team were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend NC for any hardscaping job. They paid attention to every detail of the project. Treatment for Spotted LF was a different application that last year. I asked why the difference and was given an answer explaining the SLF emerged later and is not as robust in my area, therefore requiring an application that addressed their current behavior. It s good to know they are progressive with their knowledge and follow the science rather than a this is what we did, so that is what we ll do attitude. I highly recommend New Castle.

New Castle did o fantastic job cleaning up the landscape of our newly purchased home. The landscape had been neglected for many years and really detracted from the house. The crew worked diligently for many hours and checked in with me frequently to assure that what they were trimming was to my standards. I would highly recommend this company. New Castle Lawn & Landscape recently completed a project in my development. They continuously tracked mud onto the roadway. This caused a lot of us to track the mud from their project throughout our development. It has still not been resolved. Completely irresponsible, disrespectful, and unprofessional!

In the spring I use NCLL for taking care of my very finicky willow tree. Several years ago their arborist Andy diagnosed willow beetle and leaf spot both of which were treated. The leaf spot treatment needs to be applied annually. All I need to do is text or email Andy and the rest is taken care of. Most times I dont even see the tech - he/she shows up, does the treatment and leaves the sign that they were there. I would definitely recommend them.

We recently had some landscaping done by New Castle. It was to remove an old overgrown garden built into a hillside, regrade the hill, and put in a small boulder wall. First off they were the lowest quote of the 4 that I received, by nearly a thousand dollars! The estimated start time was about 6 weeks out but they started within 3 weeks, which we were really happy about. There were two guys who worked tirelessly in oppressive July heat all day for several days. I will say that the finished product was not what we wanted or agreed upon but after I showed pictures to their customer care, they agreed that it should have been done differently and within a week it was made right. The project turned out exactly how we hoped and we couldnt be happier with our experience. New Castle has proven themselves to be a professional company who makes good on any mistakes they might make. Who could ask for more?

Weve used New Castle for a few projects since moving in to our new home, but most recently, we had them cut down some trees and grind the stumps, as well as plant grass in the area. Andy is the best to work with - we truly had no idea what we wanted for the space, and he was patient while we talked through it. He was responsive to all of our questions, and had his team out quickly to complete the work in a timely manner. Not only was it done quickly, it was done right and we didnt have to worry about asking them to come back to redo anything. They also removed some trees and redid our landscaping in the front of our house. We have received so many compliments on our yard since involving NC. Thank you!

We had Newcastle remove an 80 ft hickory couple years back and did a great job removing it. So when we decided to remove a 100 ft hickory near the house, we called them back. They removed the 100ft hickory, smaller hickory and an ash tree. They did a great job with removal, and clean up and took every precaution to limit any lawn damage. Very pleased.

We recently had New Castle install a paver walkway from our front door to our driveway. Matt and Chad were perfectionists from beginning to end. They did a fine job; we are 100% satisfied. Andy was also a professional through the estimating process and was always available for any questions we had!

From start to finish we had an excellent landscaping experience with New Castle LL. From initial in-person consultation (Chrissy), to design, to Santos crew on installation we were given great service. Communication is excellent and they were able to adjust nicely to mid project curve balls we presented them. This is a well operated comprehensive outdoor needs company.

We contracted New Castle for a small drainage project in our backyard. The guys were in and out in 1 day and got everything buttoned up nicely. Now we just need a heavy rain to see how they did! Not the first time we have used them and will work with them again.

They suck on cherry falls

I hired New Castle to remove an overgrown evergreen that was incrotcing onto my house. I was concerned for damage to my house as well as the mess it had created. I called them based on word of mouth as to the quality of their work. Someone came out shortly after I called to give me an estimate and the service was performed on 11/3. It was a 2 man crew and they had the tree down in about an hour. Everything was cleaned up & they returned in the afternoon to grind the stump. Once done you really wouldnt know a tree was there. This was as high as my second story. I am more than satisfied with their work and would recommend them if someone needs tree service.

I had New Castle replace a retaining wall and put in new landscaping around my pool. They did a beautiful job. They completed the project quickly, cleaned up the area, and were very professional. Loved working with Brad and Matt on the project. I will definitely get New Castle again for any of my landscaping needs. Now I just need it to be summer so I can sit out by the pool and enjoy the renovation.

New Castle landscaped our back yard and turned it into a beautiful oasis we can enjoy. They were very professional and listened to what we wanted. They worked out a design that worked within our budget and even replaced rose bushes that didnt survive the first winter. They continue to maintain our lush lawn and mulch the gardens for a reasonable rate. As retirees that is very important.

Our contact person has always been Brad, and he is a great to work with. Super responsive and more than willing to change plans and designs (multiple times). Highly Recommend! Honest, reliable and do amazing work! We had a patio put onto our backyard. They worked with us, even as we made some changes during the project. The crew was friendly and clean! Once finished they came back to make sure we were happy! After our first major rainfall we noticed some drainage problems. They were out the next day and made the necessary changes and fixed the issue. We also use them for our lawn treatment and our yard has never looked better!

I was very pleased with Stacey s responsiveness & expertise in the design stage. When it came to the install, I was SO pleased with the work Santos & his team did. When they placed a lot of huge stones, they took extra time to carefully arrange them so they looked just right. Also, while planting, they took extra care to loosen the rootballs to ensure they were planted properly. I was very impressed by that, as I know this extra step makes a big difference in the sustainability of the plant. I ve worked with other landscapers who didn t take these extra steps & I felt like I had to watch everything they did so closely to ensure things were planted properly. They were also professional & friendly! They truly are the best team I ve ever had. I will use them again because I can trust they will do a great job!

New Castle did an amazing job with my leaf clean up. My yard was littered with acorns, as well, and they painstakingly raked all of them up, too. The heavy rain in December pushed my appointment back, but New Castle was quick to take on the leaf vacuuming since my township leaf curb pickup had ended. I am looking forward to working with this company in the future.

We put in a paver patio using New Castle and could not be more pleased with how the project turned out. The folks at New Castle really listened to what we wanted and were patient while we figured out the designed that worked best for us. There were multiple designs until we found the perfect one for our home. They clearly laid out how the project would go, answered question as the pato was being built and handled what few issues we had in a very timely and professional manner. The workers were neat and respectful of our home as the project was complete. We had a bit of a glitch with water pooling soon after the patio was completed. The folks at New Castle identified a solution to the problem and fixed it immediately. My wife and I are very satisfied with the quality of the workmanship. The patio looks great and really adds to the aesthetics of our home.

Recently worked with New Castle on installing a new patio in our backyard. We were unsure what we wanted to do exactly but they were able to take measurements and provide us with a great design. They knocked out our old concrete slab and installed a paver patio with an awesome fire pit area. Our space is much nicer to enjoy now and entertain guests. Their staff was awesome. Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I even threw them a couple curve balls late in the project and they just kept on smiling and got it done. In the end they just wanted us to be happy and I appreciated that. Look forward to working with them again in the future.
