Shawn's Lawns in Beverly

I appreciate not having to worry about my lawn chores anymore….I definitely recommend these guys.

I have Shawn's Lawns do my general yard work (cleanup, mowing, thatching/seeding) and he has done a great job for us. He shows up and efficiently does his job; answers questions and offers suggestions on how to approach problems AND goes beyond. An example where the service has stepped up is during a wind storm last winter/spring, several large branches came down - when I say large they were 6"+ diameter.....we as neighbors had pooled resources and chainsaws and were clearing each others yards. As we were doing this, Shawn came by to see if any help was needed by me/his customers. It is certainly smart business AND would have been appreciated if the neighborhood did not have the necessary tools.

Easy to work with and coordinate service. The team is efficient and well equipped to get the job done and in reasonable time.

After nearly 10 years of Shawn and his team cleaning our difficult yard, he upped and walked away without explanation, despite repeated attempts to contact him through email and phone messages. There may have been a miscommunication because we had not set up our contract yet when they arrived one day, and our grass had not grown (early in the season), which is difficult to resolve if the person will not speak to you...at all. VERY unprofessional business. It is important to at least respond to clients who are paying several thousand dollars a year for your services. While they arrived when they were asked, they frequently forgot to clean/blow off decks, or would miss an entire side of the yard. We had to remind this tem every other week to do all the decks and the side yard. It took them less than an hour, but we were always charged double. The only good thing I can say, is that Shawn and his team did a very good fall clean-up. Because he was expensive, and I am on a fixed income due to being handicapped. I was late once or twice with the $1000.00 fall clean -up bill. he would call if I had forgotten, and it would be immediately paid. Other than that, we always payed on time for the bi-weekly cleaning. We thought we had a professional relationship with Shawn, but his inability to follow-up, or communicate when something isn't working, is, in my opinion, a reason not to hire. We were very disappointed when Shawn stopped servicing our lawn without explanation, despite the complaints we had with his service.
