Hoopes Lawn Care in Bethlehem

Joe asks for an address and says he'll get back to me with an estimate, which he does. We set a date to begin bi-weekly service. Joe doesn't show up the day we are set to begin and then emails me saying he is a day behind due to the rain. It had been raining cats and dogs here, so I understand and told him no problem. The next day he doesn't show up, so I email him the following day asking when he is planning to come out. He responds with, "when you tell me you live on a cliff." My first thought was, what did he do with my address when he asked for it to give an estimate? Apparently nothing. My second thought was, why did he stand me up and not even bother to let me know he wasn't interested in the job? Apparently because he'd rather wait for me to contact him so he can respond in an unprofessional and arrogant manner. Any respectable lawn care team would have first, surveyed the property when asking for and receiving the address and before giving an estimate. Second, they would have contacted the customer when they decided not to service the property instead of standing them up. If I could give Hoopes 0 stars I would. Anybody who hires this joke of a company should reevaluate their choice. **Edit in response to the owners rebuttal** When asked for an estimate, he asked for an address. Anybody worth their salt in any business, who asks for an address to give an estimate, would take a look at the property before giving an estimate. Clearly, Joe did not do this and instead uses the defense that he was deceived and that the owner was dishonest. Nobody was "deceived" and nobody was dishonest. Hoopes did not do their due diligence when giving an estimate and instead decided to act like a second rate business by standing up their customer, not giving any notice that they aren't interested in working on the property and acting like total clowns. Absolutely pathetic and a waste of time in every respect.
