We have used Handyman At Your Command for several years - mostly plumbing-related needs - and they continue to impress us with their attention to detail, customer service, and responsiveness. Jose and Alexi did an excellent job today replacing a panel with 2 water shut-off valves and hoses along with checking another valve leak under a sink and recaulking around a toilet that was a bit unstable.

The water repair that was done looked like there was never an issue. Looks just like when we first moved into our home. Polite, onetime, and cleaned up very well. If anything I will make sure they will be the first one I will call.

Horrible service. I asked them to re-attach some garage racks that had fallen (the drywall anchors had failed) and some minor drywall work. They gave me an estimate of 4 hours for the work. Two people arrived, after 3 hours of drywall work (way more than needed with one of their guys hiding somewhere not actually doing work) I asked when they were going to work on the priority work (the fallen rack) and they assured me they would be done working on time. At 4 hours they informed me that they would reach 4.5 hours that day and require another 2+ hours on another day because they did not bring materials to work on the garage racks. Just so I am clear IF they were able to complete in the new estimated 2 hours that would put their work at 6.5 hour - when they told me 3 hours in that there would be no extra time needed. They clearly just send people to get whatever hours they can get out of you. The work might have been a 6 hour job, but they offered the estimate - clearly just to get in the door. I will never use them again, and I will find someone else to actually do the work they were there for (with $950 already lost)

We are very happy with handyman at your command. They did some work on the exterior of our home about six months ago. Some of the paint started to peel, and when I brought it to their attention, they were very kind about it. They came out and fixed it. They also installed a railing on our front porch steps, and we are very happy because it is extremely sturdy! They did a great job securing it in concrete. Tracy, the lady who answers the phones, is wonderful! She is very responsive and always returned my calls quickly.

Miguel was on time, communicative, and friendly. We had had some ants come into our upstairs bathroom where we d never seen them in 21 years. Decided to get professional caulking and grouting, since the work is warrantied and would probably last longer than if I d done it. Thanks for the excellent work, Miguel!

Great job in assembling adjustable bed frame. They arrived early ; completed the task efficiently with in time allotted. I will use them again for other jobs in my home.

Scheduling the work with Tracy is easy. Hugo and his assistants prepared our closet for a closet installation. They removed the old shelving, rewired the outlets to add additional outlets, replaced and repaired holes in the dry wall and painted the walls. They also replaced the kitchen sink, replace the light switches in the bathrooms and installed a ceiling light in the garage. Billing is by the hour plus the cost of any materials they need to buy for the job which I like. I can highly recommend them.

Alexi showed up exactly on time, and performed the needed maintenance quickly and with little supervision. I needed a door re-hung so it didnt bind against the frame, and a small section of previously replaced trim painted. Work was very good quality.

We had our outside drain unclogged (debris, mulch and acorns from recent rains), two faucets installed, and a bedroom door shaved down that wouldn t clear a new plush rug. Our handyman took care of everything; smoothly and efficiently. I have been using this company for years and have recommended them to my mother and sister who are also very happy with them. Great service! I have used them about once or twice a year since 2019 for household installations and repairs. They are always prompt, professional and friendly. Highly recommend for any household needs. Tracey is very responsive to coordinate appointments that work with your schedule!

Weve used Handyman at Your Command at least six or seven times over the past 15 years for jobs both big and small and theyve always done a great job. Ive reviewed them previously on Angies List, but thought Id add a Google review after their last visit. Our upstairs tub sprung a leak that was dripping through the kitchen ceiling. We could tell it wasnt a leaky pipe. I tried caulking and taping the tub myself, but clearly did a poor job. Handyman sent Sander for the first part of the job. He re-caulked the entire tub and a portion of the tiles just off the tub. We waited two days to make sure that did it and then Sander came back with a second guy to repair the kitchen ceiling. The ceiling already had previous damage from other leaks, plus holes and discoloration from an old light fixture we had replaced. I wish I had before and after pictures because they did an amazing job and Im sure well be using them again.

They were super fast to respond (1 hour) and had a way better rate than any competitors. They did professional work and got all four things I wanted done in less than two hours. Highly recommend

I first used Handyman At Your Command in October. After calling several handyman companies on a weekend morning and no company answering the phone, Tracy called me back and set up an appointment. I have a small 1B1BR condo and had hired a horribly inept person (which we didn t learn until much too late) to remodel my bathroom. Jose came out to clean up some of the aesthetic problems. He also pointed out a lot of other problems and shortcuts that the other company had taken and told me me how things should have been done. He was really knowledgeable and personable and, since I had a hunch that we would need to tear out the initial work, walked me through what it would look like if he were to redo our bathroom . When we learned that the shower was leaking out the other end of the wall and that the whole bathroom would have to be redone, I asked Tracy to send me a quote and it was very fair. Despite some delays in the project because of bad weather, the project was completed within our preferred time. The team covered our floors with cardboard and protected our furniture with plastic sheeting. When the team discovered problems along the way, we were quickly informed and the necessary repairs were made. When we ran into an issue with the shower wall tile I picked being irregular and warped, Jose found the same size and appearance tile at the Home Depot and returned the bad tile to the seller. Tracy called every night to give a project update and sent photos of the work done that day. They also did some additional handyman tasks around our condo- caulking, fixing drywall, fixing wobbly in-ceiling speakers. They left our condo very clean and the bathroom is beautiful. Tracy checked in with us a week after the work was done to ask if we d found any problems, and sent someone out to check on and fix low water pressure in the shower. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their work. If you are considering this company for remodeling or for normal tasks, hire them. I can t emphasize the value of people showing up on time, doing a job well, knowing how to adjust when things don t go perfectly, and communicating often and clearly. I have used Handyman at your Command three or four times now. For drywall, painting, ceiling fan installation, etc. I am very happy with the quality of their work. They are also on time, professional, and offer reasonable prices. Tracy runs a great business and I will definitely be using their services again!

Although directions were given to replace the shower valves to a close proxemity of the historic valves the plumber when to homedepot and purchased a cheap platic valve, which has terrible mentenance reviews, and installed it without my concent and am being charged $240 for a $59 part plus hourly rate to shop for the valve. I do not recommend using this service.

The 2 guys who came out were great!!!!! I thought we could get the job done in 2 hours. I had a home office desk and a large floating TV console that needed to be put together and put on the wall. Boy was I wrong!!!!! These 2 guys stayed to finish the job over 4 hours! They measured everything and made sure everything was perfectly put in place. They cleaned up afterwards. I was very pleased with the work did! And Tracy was in contact with me and always upfront with costs. I will definitely use this service again!!!! Very pleased;)

This is my second time using Handyman At Your Command for a project and, like the first time, I am impressed by their attention to detail and problem solving skills. I had a large, very heavy door and frame to be installed. Joel and Isaac arrived on time and ready to work. And the day, unfortunately, started with them having to lug the ultra-heavy for up one, two, three flights of stairs. I felt terrible that it wouldnt fit in the elevator--but they stayed positive and got the job done. Videos. The special door I bought came with installation videos that made it look so easy. Of course, the job was *much* more complicated than expected and Joel and Isaac had to come up with some ideas to make it work. They totally did. With Handyman at Your Command you get skilled workers who figure out how to get the job done. They work at a good pace and are friendly. Plus, Tracy managed the appointment and was super patient with my questions upon questions. You cant go wrong! UPDATE: There was an issue with my complicated install and they made it right! I didnt have text and call and go through a bunch of hoops. Tracy followed up and made sure the work was to my satisfaction. If I could give 5+ stars, I would.

We were very impressed by our Handymen this morning Ronnie and Jaime. They had to jury-rig together a frame and headboard (not a matching set), but they got the job done and had the tools and supplies needed. I will say that they are prompt and courteous. I needed a ceramic shower soap dish replaced (prior one broke) and a rusted out tub drain removed. It took about 3.5hrs and cost almost $500. While the handyman was professional the work just kind of looks sloppy. I spent an hour of my own time trying to clean up some of the sealant to have a more professional and less two toned look to it. Ultimately the work got done but the quality of the work was lacking and not worth the price. Disappointed! Edited review: the customer service is excellent. I called them and they arrived the next day first thing in the morning. They sealed up a large hole behind my stove. The hole behind the stove needed to be sealed since mice were getting into my kitchen. They were prompt, efficient, and professional. Very pleased. 5 stars.

A pipe leak in our master bathroom started us thinking about remodeling that bathroom and another bathroom in the basement. We looked at several bathroom remodeling companies but the prices were way out of our budget. We found Handyman online and after reading their reviews we called to get a quote. Hugo, and later Jose, came out and looked at both bathroom projects. We also requested a quote for replacing and painting outside trim around 6 windows as well as some rotting fascia boards and painting the front pediment and railings. The outside items worked well within our total budget, but we realized pulling the tub out of the master bathroom to make it a shower was not, so we decided to only retile the walls and floor, replace the toilet, sink, shower fixtures, vanity top and paint. The money we saved by not pulling out the tub, allowed us to have Handyman also paint our bedroom and put some additional money into the basement bathroom which ended up being a total tear out after finding out the drywall and studs were rotted, and the original shower pan had not been done properly. Each day we would get a call from Tracy the office manager - with an update on the crew arrival. The crews were always on site when promised and all were very cordial and masked. When they were working inside, they would lay out tarps on the floor from the work area to the doorways and at the end of the day pulled up the tarps and leave the area cleaned up. Jose was the supervisor for the projects as well as hands on with his crews. He was very helpful in coming up with solutions when problems would arise during the work or making recommendations. The outside work began by pressure washing all the siding and areas that needed to be painted and repaired. All the bad wood was replaced with PVC board. After it was installed, the areas around the trim were caulked and painted. This took about 4 days. Each day the crew left the yard completely picked up. For the bathroom projects they picked up all the tile and supplies we had purchased for both bathrooms from the tile store. After tearing out the old tile in the master bath they installed a new shower diverter (since the wall was open} and new cement board around the tub. We added two niches in the tub walls for shampoo bottles and soap. The tile and grouting look fantastic with clean, straight lines. They also added a grab bar in the tub area and hung the bathroom accessories. The basement bathroom was taken down to the studs including jack hammering out the old pan and adjusting the drain. (Poor guys had to carry all the concrete and debris from the bathroom up the steps and outside in plastic bags since there is no egress from the basement) They poured a new shower pan and installed cement board in the shower and green board on the remaining walls. They did an exceptional installation of the subway tiles on the shower walls (also two shelves) as well as the shower floor and bathroom floor. They installed a new diverter for the shower, a new toilet, vanity, mirror lighting fixture, exhaust fan and bathroom accessories. Additionally, outside of the basement bath they added a separate plug for our sump pump and they combined two overhead lights that were on separate switches into one switch. They also replaced our utility sink that had a broken drain. All this work was done in about 6 weeks and fell within our original budget. We can t say enough about the great work that Handyman at Your Command did for us. Their workers (Jose, Edgar, Fareed and the others) are professional and their work is exceptional. I would highly recommend you give them a call for any job you are looking to have done! 5 Stars all the way.

I got in touch with Handyman at your command at the last minute as i was looking to sell my place within days. They literally got back to me within minutes, put me on standby which worked to my favor as they were originally scheduled to come Wednesday but ended up being able to come first thing in the morning Tuesday. I pointed out the items i needed and their staff got right to work, we had a bedroom wall that needed to be repainted and a doorbell that needed to be re-installed and wiring repaired, as well as some small dry wall repair near an air vent. They were super quick and made sure everything was to my liking before signing off. This service and communication was above and beyond what ive seen with any other big time provider. I had a very positive experience with this company. The handyman showed up and did everything we needed him to do and he did it well. The only negatives were that he initially installed a curtain rod in a way that did not let me unscrew it to hang the curtain, but he fixed that, and my Nest camera was hung in not-an-ideal way. Im not going to make too much of a fuss about that because we didnt have the internet set up in the new apartment to check how it looked.

Handyman did a wonderful job for me with a bathroom remodel in October. We replaced tile, fixtures, and the vanity and repainted all the walls. Jose and his team were very helpful in planning and coordinating the project, and during the construction kept me updated and promptly raised questions or issues as they came up. They finished my whole bathroom in about 6 days, which was much less time than I had anticipated. When the shelves that were installed ended up being a little higher than I thought, Jose came back and fixed them. The group also painted an accent wall in another room. Tracy also did a great job as the point of contact for the work. I definitely will use Hanfyman for similar projects in the future!

Actual cost was twice the quoted price. I could have purchased items for a discount as a vet, but the company does not qualify for Home Depot vendor rates so you will pay actual costs. I was charged for hours 7:30 -10:30 - I left my home at 8:15 and there was no one there! FALSE CHARGES!

Terrible work. Never again. Cannot believe these cant handle a simple caulk job. I hired them to caulk my bathtub and toilet. Straight forward and simple job. they charged $200 for 3 hours which is pretty high for handyman work, but I figure if its high quality then Im fine with that. IT WAS NOT. Guy did the caulking. I did a quick look and was like You forgot to caulk the faucet element He did that after apologizing. I figured this guy is a pro and I do not have to inspect his work with a fine tooth comb. That was incorrect. The next day I realized there was holes in the caulk and the caulk was very bumpy in places. The first is real bad and the whole reason you caulk in first place, to keep water out. Second bumpiness is not great either as water pools in there and mold develops. I emailed and they said they would send someone else. I figured this person would fix it and do it right. they knew it was a screw up. Well that was wrong too. The 2nd guy actually also did shoddy work and left holes in the caulk again. Unbelievable. Never work with them again. Cannot believe it.

I cannot express how outstanding this company is. The management, the quality of their handymen, professionalism, responsiveness, I am totally delighted with them. I have used 3 other providers in the DC area over the past 20 years. These folks are far and away the best value for your money. I have hired this company for a renovation of a bathroom, electrical, plumbing, and Im about to hire them for floor replacement in a kitchen and two more bathroom updates. Ive given these folks probably 60 hours worth of work over the past 4 months and there is more to come. If that isnt an endorsement, I dont know what is. This is our third time using Handyman at Your Command and they consistently aim to please! Our first project was a closet organizer that was a bit complicated and our technician did a great job. Today, two techs took care of our door framing issues and fixed our dishwasher which was installed incorrectly. Tracy makes sure you get a tech within a day or two of calling, everything is easy and efficient and the price is right. Definitely our go-to company for handyman services.

My experience with the company was terrible. Overrated for the price. I hired them to hang pictures, repair a small drywall hole, and assemble a garage shelf. In three days they only managed to get the pictures on the wall. Workers came late; one of them took forty minutes to hang one picture straight; they didn t arrive with all of the supplies and charged me for the time away to go get them and took nearly and hour and a half at the store between two men. I will never use them again and wouldn t recommend them either. I spent nearly a thousand dollars and still need my drywall fixed and the shelf put together!!

Im sorry a few of you had bad experiences but .... Handy at Your Command, Tracy and Team have been a godsend! Ive used this company on at least 3 occasions over the past year and Ive never been disappointed. From start to finish, Tracy and her Team strive to satisfy your work order request. Tracy works with you to schedule the appointment that that fits your schedule. On each occasion, the technician arrived at least on time, and most often a few minutes ahead of time. Ive had Jose and another technician replace rotted fascia board on the exterior of my sunroom. Since the removal and replacement of the fascia board, my sunroom has remained bone dry during torrential rains. This removal/replacement included removing/replacing the existing gutter and down spout. I purchased the material, e.g., wood, and they supplied the labor. They worked flawlessly to repair and seal up any openings upon installation of the fascia board! On another occasion, Jose performed plumbing and electrical work including the installation of a ceiling light, installed remote control on an existing ceiling fan that had a light kit, installed RING doorbell and upgraded some electrical outlets. Each time, the work was done efficiently and perfect and the area was cleaned of any debris. They didnt try to drag out the job (per hour) and increase my out-of-pocket expenses. Tracy gives you a quote and, trust me, the job is done within the quote timeframe. I cannot say enough about Jose. Hes the first tech that I met and hes done all of my work on his own, expect for the fascia board when he was assisted by another tech. Jose is always very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and again hes always prompt. Ive used many home improvement companies but Ive never reached this level of continuous satisfaction. Ive laid out other projects that I want to complete over the next several months because they are just the best in my opinion and they are reasonably priced too. If you want the job done right the first time, you should give them a try! Im not a poster but next time, Ill show before/after pics for you to see the quality of work that youll get!

We used them to replace a dryer vent on the roof of our townhouse. There was a team of two people, with the head gentleman being Jose. Jose was great! He showed up at 7:30am for our appointment as scheduled, was very thorough with his work explaining his steps as he went along, and was just overall a pleasant person. My appointment was made in the morning, and the contractor showed up same day. The contractor was very courteous, and very skilled. The prices were reasonable for the emergency job that I had to get done.

AWESOME I had several tasks completed by Noel. He did excellent drywall repair, raised my kitchen cabinet, installed new kitchen pantry doors . Installed curtain rods, installed closet shelving, hooked up gas stove, installed a new storm door, and my list went on and on... Noel is a master handyman quick and knowledgeable. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him and plan to work with him soon..

Excellent service!!! I am very happy Jose and Tracy helped me get my iPhone back! Im so glad I called these guys! I had just a small job at my apt. in DC, but couldnt handle it myself. Handyman @ Your Command was able to come help me quickly and priced things right. Highly recommend all their work. I literally use them for every job that comes up (plumbing issues, drywall, electrical, hanging tvs, etc) and they always do a superb job. Also, they are always on time and clean up afterwards.

We had a very good experience with Handyman At Your Command. There is good communication with the front office. Tracy was responsive and called to check during the day to make sure everything was going well. She sent Noel to install a mosaic tile floor in our powder room and he did a beautiful job with great attention to detail. We had prepared the floor but needed him to complete the job. He discovered a problem with the plumbing and came up with an efficient solution. We made a couple of trips to Home Depot to get the correct items so he could complete the job in a day. Noel arrived on time, worked diligently the entire time, and was courteous. We could not be happier with his work. We will definitely will use Handyman At Your Command again.

Very good experience from start to finish. Tracy got all the work requirements down on the first call and had guys out within 90 minutes. Five hours later, I had all five issues (incl. a frozen refrigerator water line, two filthy sump pumps, and two cracked water pipes) resolved. I asked for follow up on two of the items and Tracy got someone out the next morning. Handyman at your Command offers a very reasonable/competitive price, responds quickly, and does it with great customer service. I will definitely do business with them again.

We had an Emergency leak one night, and got up in the morning to find the basement flooded, and water all over! I had no idea What to do !! Handy Bestoff showed up within 30 min of my call, shut off the main water and power for safety reasons, he was already equipped with a generator to run the pumps to get the water out of the basement. He brought in a certified electrician to make sure it was safe to turn on the main power again, and left his industrial fan and dehumidifiers overnight to make sure everything was dried out thoroughly! His quick response and knowledge saved me lots of time and aggravation! His prices were extremely reasonable, and he even broke it down to what he was doing and how much each component of his work cost ! Thank you for Everything Handy Bestoff !

I had to build a wall in my basement to make a small office. I called up Handy Bestoff for the job, he gave me a great price and done a beautiful job. He built the wall, and cleaned everything up within the day, and a day after I called him up. He is highly recommended by me =]
