I had been looking for a better lawn service company for the past 3 years. My wife and I have had the toughest time finding a consistent, fair priced, and honest company for our lawn services. When I called and talked to caleb I was surprised at how much less it would cost us to hire the grass guy opposed to our previous lawn mowing rate. However, I was even moore pleasantly surprised at the quality of our lawn afterwards! This is the company I recommend to ANYONE that asks about our amazing lawn. Thanks Grass guy lawn services!
I hired Grass Guy four years ago and I was very pleased with their service. I kept them through three houses. The yard always looked great. Kevin’s customer service was great. He often answered the phone, and he would always return calls within 24 hours. He was always friendly and helpful. Then Caleb Moore took over the business. The quality of the lawn service steadily decreased. The yard started to look messy and sloppily mowed, with a lack of clean edging. A month ago, my husband called the number listed on our invoices (“Please contact me at (817) 707 – 2564 if you have any questions. Thanks, Caleb Moore”) to discuss our service issues. No answer and no call back. I called a few days later. No answer and no call back. I decided to seek a better service that had better customer service. I hired a new service and emailed my cancellation on Sunday night, effective immediately. Unsurprisingly, there was no response. The new service began Tuesday and the lawn looked great. On Thursday, I got a bill from the Grass Guy that included a mow from Wednesday. Frustrated, I called, received no answer and left yet another voicemail. Then I emailed also to say the invoice was wrong and ask if they understood I had cancelled the service on Sunday. Having previously received no response from my voicemails or emails, I decided to text to see if that got a response. It did. He made excuses that he had been on his honeymoon. For a month?? I’m a customer, not your friend. This is a business and that’s not an excuse. Frankly it’s an insulting way to try to get out of not responding. And if you’re going on vacation, maybe have somebody else watching your business. Then he condescendingly told me email was best, despite that every message I had ever received requested I call. I requested a confirmation via text and email that he knew we had cancelled the service because he still had not made reference to it, merely changing the invoice---with excuses for his lack of contact and criticism on my method of contact. (If email was best, why didn’t he realize I had cancelled service??) He eventually confirmed it, with excuses for why he hadn’t read the cancel email. He told me they didn’t work on Sundays. The mow was on Wednesday – did they not work Monday or Tuesday either? I didn’t respond. I got my confirmation. I guess he slowly received my various messages and didn’t check the time stamps to realize I hadn’t sent anything new after the text confirmation, because he sent an email with all caps and an excessive amount of exclamation points. Like tantrum-throwing teenager. Yelling and full of excuses, never taking any responsibility for the lack of customer service. This was some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. It wasn’t that bad before the past week but it snowballed with his inability to take responsibility like an adult for the poor service I received.
Paid this company to mow our front and backyard, plus trim a bush in the front yard. Spoke with Caleb a couple of times over the phone and agreed on payment, which I thought was fairly priced. ( I also Included a tip with payment bc they are providing a service) Came home from work and the yard was OK but the bush that cost an extra $15 to trim was still the same. Figured it was an honest mistake and would just call the next day. Called & let them know they didn’t trim the bush and Caleb said he was very sorry and would take care of it ASAP. Called 3 more times and sent a text message with 0 response and our bush still needs to be done. Very disappointed and would never recommend this company to anyone. Anyone that can’t provide decent customer service follow up is no company I care to do business with.
I used them on 2 of my properties and then constantly billed me when they didn't mow. When you pay an invoice online, they say up front that they possibly could charge when they don't mow your yard and that it's not intentional. Really? You never not billed me when you did mow. Save yourself the headache and use someone who has pride in what they do and not just after the $$$. In fact when I cancelled that's exactly what happened. They overcharged me on my last invoice and you think they may have refunded the extra charge. DO NOT USE!!!
Scheduling and working with the Grass Guys was extremely easy and flexible. They would always come on the day they scheduled and do a great job (even if I wasn't too proactive about cleaning up the yard!). Definitely recommend them.
The owner of this company, Kevin Anderson is the most dishonest person I have ever dealt with. His company was supposed to cut our grass and do a general yard clean up along with laying some sod. The guys who cut the grass did an awful job. They left large areas completely un-mowed and did not blow off the driveway from their edging and clippings. However, the worst part was dealing with Mr. Anderson himself. We agreed on a set price for the yard clean up along with the sod. Less than half of the job was completed and when I contacted Mr Anderson he blamed me saying it was my fault...how his company not finishing a job was my fault I am not sure, not only did he blame me but he also said that he would not finish the job and I should call someone else as it was no longer his problem. He then billed me the full amount for the work the was not completed. I paid him as to not have to deal with him any more. However, he continued sending me invoices and threatening to send my bill to a collection agency even though it had been paid and I have a receipt. A complaint has been filed with the BBB.
I moved to Fort Worth last summer and needed a lawn service to help out with my large yard. After making many phone calls, The Grass Guys offered the lowest price and were very helpful and friendly. They always came out on the days they said they would and came at appropriate times in the day (not too early, not too late). I thought the online billing service was easy to use and their emails made me feel like they appreciated my business. I would definitely recommend this lawn service.
EXCELLANT CUSTOMER SERVICE The last company I contacted decided, after a week of me waiting, to let me know I was not in their service area. During that week, I thought they were coming out to cut my grass. I had to contact them to find out what was going on. I then decided to contact the Grass Guy and within minutes I received a callback and had an estimate shortly after providing my address. I have not had my lawn serviced, yet, but based on customer service and experience alone, I am sold. I am eager to see my lawn results at the end of the week and will gladly provide an update.
I really wanted to try to work with Grass Guy on my lawn care. They only answered one call and promised to respond to my email with a quote. I havent heard back in spite of multiple attempted calls and emails.

Kevins guys have been mowing and edging our property in Kennedale now for about two years. I found them to be very reliable and good. As a matter of fact, I just called to renew his service for another year!
Unfortunately I will not be able to recommend this company. Throughout our one year of service I ran into several issues. Most importantly (and quite frustrating) being that of communication or utter disregard to replying to emails, text messages and phone calls. On our most recent issue I sent 2 emails, 1 text message, and 1 phone call NEVER to actually get a response. The company ignored my request to stop our service. When I came home to see they had been here I automatically reached out showing my paper trail and request to halt service. Its now been 2 weeks of me reaching out to them with no response. We will never do business with this company again. Ignoring your customers is not something anyone should find acceptable.
The Grass Guy does a wonderful job. I am set up on a two week rotation and he is always on time.

I liked the service however; I would like for all of the grass cut instead of some areas getting missed. I think the workers are mowing so fast they dont get all the grass cut.

Called for an estimate on services...was told they had to come out and view the yard size first but, said the base price was $42 w/tax. I was told I would get a call after they came out and he would give the actual price. NEVER HEARD from anyone...Then 4 MONTHS LATER I get a call asking have I been receiving their emails and that they have been taking care of my yard since July and havent been paid for services. THEY NEVER CUT MY YARD yet billed me over $300.00
They did basic service for over a year, but then their communications broke down. They promised me a service for over five months, but never did it and stopped responding to calls and emails. Something is terribly amiss.
Very pleased with the lawn care provided by The Grass Guy Lawn Services. If you are in the market for a lawn service co. Id give them a try.

Owner behaved extremely unprofessional after lawn crew severely damaged lawn during last mowing. He did not want to take any responsibility for the damage caused and actually blamed it on me. His rationale was that customers get upset when their lawns arent mowed due to all the rain so his crew kept mowing even though it caused major damage on the lawn. I was even home working at the time in my home office so his crew could have knocked on the door and checked to see if I wanted them to continue. I am not talking about a couple of little ruts here and there. My backyard looks horrible. He even went so far to further blame it on me because I had called him earlier that day when his crew showed up and left immediately without mowing the lawn even though I NEVER asked him to mow the lawn no matter what. I had only called because I thought it was strange that they had just pulled up and then left immediately, and I wasnt sure if they were going to come back later that day or later in the week. The grass did need to be mowed but they should have stopped when they saw the damage that was being done to the lawn. AND if I been told that the reason they left was due to the fact that they thought the ground was still too wet, I would have passed on having it mowed then. BUT I was never given that option,and they should have known better as a professional lawn service. The damage was very bad, and Im not even picky about my lawn but it looks like its been plowed by a tractor. When I went in the backyard shortly after they had finished cutting the grass and saw the damage, I immediately took pictures and sent it to him. His actual response was What do you want me to do about it? and that the rain will level out the ruts over time. He did not offer a solution and told me that we would discuss the next day. When I called him the following afternoon (since he did not follow up with me as discussed), he said he felt his crew wasnt responsible, and he hung up on me when I told him that I felt he was behaving unprofessionally by blaming the situation on me and not taking any responsibility for the damage that his crew clearly caused. When I called him back, he proceeded to take his unprofessionalism to another level by stating that he never meant that he would call me back the next day to talk about the damage even though he had ended the conversation the day before literally with let me think about it and well discuss tomorrow. I think most customers normal interpretation of that would be that they would receive a courtesy call the next day to let them know the options to repair the damage caused by the company. Clearly he never intended to repair the damage and behaved rudely to try to avoid having to deal with this situation. I had been a customer for a couple of years until this happened, but clearly that didnt mean anything to him. Until this damage occurred, I did not have any issues with the service, but the owner was very rude from the moment that I asked him to repair the damage caused by his crew. It was shocking and disappointing that from the start he became defensive and played the lets blame the victim game to try to avoid making it right when it was a clear case of damage by his crew. I had immediately brought to his attention in a polite way, but I certainly did not get politeness or professionalism back from him.
Kevin has been friendly and professional throughout my experience with him. He has also responded to my phone calls and emails in a timely manner. I trust he will continue to take excellent care of my lawn needs.
The Grass Guy Lawn Services does a great job. I have them mow mine every week and the yard has looked better this year than it has in several years. I would and have recommend them to family and friends.
Buying a new office was a big step, but doing the landscaping was beyond me. So, I went to Mr. Kevin Anderson and explained what I wanted. He listened and added some ideas that he thought would enhance and compliment the overall look of the property. They just got started, but already it looks amazing. I am very happy with their work and know that I am good hands.

Great communication, reasonably priced, and timely. Responded to my request for an estimate promptly. Schedule and cost was acceptable and sensible. Put me in his rotation schedule as weather permitted. Could see the weeds die off within days. Cant wait till next application to have a weed free lawn.
I was driving on the interstate and I noticed some one was riding my tail and I was already going faster than the speed limit. He continued to come extremely close to my vehicle. After he passed me I saw that it was a business vehicle for this company. I called the number on his vehicle because I was going to put in a complaint. Went directly to the guy who was driving the vehicle. I explained to him you dont need to be following that closely to me I would have moved over if you werent following so close to me. He called me uneducated for no apparent reason and I am an educated business owner. I am in the market for a lawn care services and he was an arrogant jerk, and talked down to me like I am stupid. What kind of customer service is that? Go a head and use this company if you want to work with an arrogant business owner I know I wont be using them!
I was impressed from the start, they had excellent customer service and they did a great job on our property. The pricing was reasonable and they were very professional. I could tell they appreciated our business which was nice to know. If you want excellent service call the Grass Guy!
The Grass Guy is WONDERFUL! After a horrible experience with a different lawn company (whose name I wont mention) earlier in the week, it was definitely a breath of fresh air to schedule services from someone that is HONEST and very customer service oriented! Thats definitely a rare find, these days, and I believe I will be using them for a verrrrrrrrrrrry long time!
