We use Green Acres for our regular fertilization and weed control. We decided to try them for our fall clean up and they exceeded our expectations! The crew was respectful and professional. They perfectly manicured every last one of our many shrubs and trees and did an excellent job cleaning up an overgrown berm. I would highly recommend their services and will be using them again next year.

Green Acres didnt do a very good job on my lawn. Not enough seed, fertilizer, straw or pre emergent weed killer and too many weeds. Places that were patched are worst then in the beginning. They really only deserve zero stars.

This lawn care service puts out a big marketing campaign about how they ll make your lawn look beautiful And the few months that I used them, I found their mowing to be haphazard, hastily done so that I would come home and find all kinds of missed area, at almost $80 per mow they re way overpriced for the quality And they like to get you in Ways that feels like rip off/scam like if the service gets canceled due to an extenuating circumstance, for example, they say that they need to come twice the next week to mow, when it could be hard to tell that a mowing was actually just completed I very clearly communicated that I wanted to cancel their services going forward, and a week later they showed up to mow and the lady in the office argued with me over the phone saying that I told her I would get back to you next week With so many lawn care services servicing the Rockford area, it didn t take me long to find a nice, efficient, hard-working, lawn, service, professional Who charges half the price, and finally I do not feel like just a number, I don t feel like I m inconveniencing anyone if I ask for a delay or cancellation I would actually give this company zero stars for overall bad experience and rip off/scam artistry!!!!!! Also they refused to haul tree debris that fell on the lawn last summer, which just seemed like a no-brainer service that should be part of being someone s multi-care lawn service At best I would have given them a mediocre rating and not write home about or recommend to my neighbors even before the recent miscommunication occurred.

Quality work with attention to customer satisfaction. We again called Green Acres Lawn Care for our landscaping needs, and were not disappointed. Jesus and Brian showed up on time and requested a walk thru of everything we wanted done, to be sure that nothing was missed. The job included trimming, weeding, edging and mulching around the house and several large planting beds. Jesus and Brian did a great job on everything including the clean-up. We highly recommend Green Acres Lawn Care and will continue to call on them for our landscaping needs.

If I could give them no stars I would. This company serviced my neighbor and literally dumped their pond water into my backyard flooding out my chicken coop and part of my garden. And to make matters worse when my husband and neighbor tried to address the situation with the company they took zero accountability for it. Bad business practice BEWARE!!

Its clear to me that this company lacks integrity and customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering hiring them to look elsewhere for a more reputable and responsible landscaping service. Save yourself the headache and frustration of dealing with a company that doesnt care about the quality of their work or the satisfaction of their customers.

Jose and Enrique did an incredible job regrading a section of my property so water would not flow toward my garage. They put down stone in one area and seeded another area. In addition to this, they cleared years and years of overgrowth at the back of my property. They did an absolutely fantastic job! They were highly professional and really went the extra mile. I highly recommend them and cant thank them enough for a job well done.

Big shout out to Jesus and his crew over at Green Acres Lawn Care. They did an amazing job with a complete overhaul of the planter bed, de-weeding, new edges, new mulch, and heaps of pruning were done. All this in half a day. If you need quality yard care, these guys nailed it.

This lawn care service is by far the best out there, and Ive 3 others (big name guy) companies, both in price and quality time spent on the details on the lawn, right down to blowing the fertilizer off driveway, sidewalk, and deck. All I can say is awesome job, and no one can go wrong using this professional lawn care services.

Patrick was excellent to work with. He arrived to give us the bid when he said he would and worked around our schedule making sure not to inconvenience us in any way. After completion of the job (which was completed very efficiently) he contacted us and said that since the job was completed way under the hours he thought it would take he gave us a labor discount. That is unheard of in this day and age. I highly recommend Green Acres for not only the quality workmanship but also their honesty and communication skills. If we ever need anymore landscaping done we will definitly use them and not bother getting any other quotes.

I talked to julie in the office several times and she is awesome! Easy to talk to, well organized, followed up, set expectations, great comms, and was able to answer all my questions and more! I asked my nephew to pick up a face chord as a test run last week, julie helped him load it. Product is great hardwood, perfect sizes, low moisture!

I called Green Acres to order firewood (they had recently acquired R.E. Marshall who was my usual firewood supplier) and talked to Kaitlyn. She is friendly, upbeat, patient, knowledgeable and professional, basically everything you want in a good customer service person. She helped me set up the delivery, which she said would be a few weeks out, and payment. I got a call back a couple of weeks later to confirm the delivery date. The delivery arrived as planned and the guys quickly unloaded the wood and placed it right into the racks. The only reason I took 1 star away was that the wood pieces looked to be a little smaller than usual. Otherwise the experience was professional and responsive.

I was a customer for 4 years and cancelled in May, due to having a lawnmower of my own. Recently called for a quote to resume services. Allergies making lawn mowing impossible. I was quoted $85.00 ($20 more than pricing in May) and since I was no longer a regular customer, would have to include an aeration package. I questioned why the huge price increase and was told I would have to start over as a new customer. So...beware NEW customers, not only do they not value you, they price guage you.

We first hired this company to do our Christmas lights and we were happy with that service. We needed landscaping around the front of our house and decided to hire them. They came in did a design, gave us a quote and we followed through. They received full payment and we were left high and dry. They only did 80% of the work and were coming back to finish job, then we were told they were no longer servicing the Hampshire area. We had to find someone else to finish their job and now they re re-advertising their Christmas tree light service in Hampshire. This company responded to my review, saying my son was abusive and his crew felt in danger. I just wanna say my son does not live with me. It was i who was home and I was very nice to all of the crew. My thinking is they have the wrong household and they re just trying to give a reason about my job. We were shorted on plants that they said the nurseries did not have nice plants and they would come back in spring and finish their job. If their reasoning was true why was I not told at the time and why did they not refund me part of my money?

I recently moved into the area and had noticed green acres signs up everywhere for Christmas decorations. I called and was able to get on their holiday light schedule. I asked if o could have the lights up and running on a specific day and they had no problems doing it (which during the holiday season I was shocked). They came and set up everything without disturbing anyone (I didn t even know they were there until the ring camera caught them). Once the season was over, they took down all the decor within minutes. They are like Santa s elves! Highly recommend!

I am grateful that Green Acres Lawn Care gives me one less thing to worry about. I use them for anything yard related. They have done a great job throughout the years and they are very helpful when ever I call.

I have 1.5 acre lot and I had Trugreen. They just went through the motions and didnt even apply weed control in my yard unless I told them to. They rarely came when they said they would come and some days didnt even show up. Even when I complained the service stayed the same. I chose Green Acres because I wanted someone smaller and closer to Cherry Valley. Right from the start they were on time explained what they were doing and got rid of my weeds after their 1st visit. They also did an aeration and over seeding. I am still watering and see some germination. When I call to ask questions they answer them or return my call the same day. I highly recommend Green Acres and they dont treat as number and actually want to make the customer happy

My yard has never looked so beautiful since Green Acres took over the weed and pest control. We enjoy sitting on the patio and not being bothered by pesky mosquitos and bugs.

Green acres came and cleaned up my yard, removed stumps, leveled and seeded where I had no grass. And they have been coming to fertilize and spray for weeds. Green Acres did an outstanding job tearing down our old deck and putting in a brick paver patio. They were knowledgeable and professional with the installation. Furthermore, out of all the bids we received they were the most creative with the design to incorporate large flagstone pieces in an area to prevent digging down into the root system of a nearby 30+ year old maple tree. They relocated two sprinkler heads in the lawn and rerouted a downspout to ensure proper drainage away from the house. Soon we will have a sidewalk replacement job and Green Acres will be the first company we call. Great company to work with.

They were slow to come out to clean up the leaves in the yard. It took several weeks for the work to be done. I could not do it myself because I had major surgery. I called them the next day after the crew had been out to do the work because the leaves along the curb had not been picked up. I was told that because I asked for the leaves to be cleaned up in the yard it did not include the leaves along the curb. I would have expected that to be part of the yard since the leaves came from the trees on the lawn. Good service would have cleaned it up or told me that they did not clean up leaves along the curb.

Well, when I called them and asked if they would come out and look at cleaning up my lawn, they said they would be there in the morning. We waited all day for them but they neither called nor showed up. Very bad business.

Our front area was a mess! I called 3 landscapers and Casey from Green Acres was the only one to return my call. He planned a lovely selection of bushes and plants for my mess of an area at a reasonable cost. The 2 Jose s who planted and mulched the area were pleasant, friendly and hard-working. They even trimmed a small tree for us to make it look nicer. Everyone was courteous and took pride in their work. Hire them! You will not be sorry.

We rented a pull behind post hole digger and it barely made it a foot in the ground before it would stall. We have a lot of rocks and the clay was very thick though. Waste off 75 dollars.

Been using Green Acres Lawn for 3 years now, since I moved to this area. They do great service. Friendly staff! I highly recommend!

I was really happy with Green Acres when they provided weed control and fertilizer to our lawn last year. This year when they filled in some areas with topsoil and seeded an area of our property we werent so happy. The new area that they seeded is completely full of weeds.

Had them do a job with creating an erosion control in my back yard for the dogs. They charged me for material that was not used. They dumped stone on my driveway when told to dump in the yard. Since it was dumped on my driveway, they scuffed up the driveway that was just resealed a month prior. Now I have to pay to have my driveway reasealed. Also most of their vehicles drip oil so be careful. On the matter of using the wrong material, I threatened to take them to court and the owner was not very receptive to doing it and actually said he has never been taken court. My stone job did exactly what i told them would happen when they used the wrong matter, it did move with the resent rain! Still talking to my lawyer on this matter and might entertain this matter because my driveway is a mess and I had to moved some rock around. This job was not worth the price and hassle I paid. Would not recommend this company and will absolutely never use them again.

They cut my lawn twice. The third week they didnt show up to cut my lawn but still charged me. I thought maybe they were a day behind, so i waited a day to call. When i did call i was told that they will not reverse the charge and wont come out until the next cut day. NO ONE SHOULD PAY FOR SERVICE THEY DONT RECEIVE. Ive used Green Acres for my lawn care for several years, my lawn has never looked better. Ive also had them do landscaping (Brick work & retaining wall) and they did a fabulous job. I couldnt be happier! I was concerned that my lawn was ruined because of the equipment that was necessary to do the job destroyed my grass BUT, the seed he laid grew like Ive never seen before. Within 2 weeks I had a beautiful lawn again. It was amazing. I continue to recommend them to anyone that wants quality work done, and a beautiful yard

Prompt service with our aeration and first lawn treatment. The guys did a great job of weeding and trimming back our flower beds, too. We had sealcoating done, too, which I know nothing about. Completely satisfied after Casey explained our larger cracks just couldnt be corrected with sealcoating or rubber alone. My suggestion -keep up with your sealcoating before cracks get out of hand.

The Outdoor Pest Spray is amazing!! They sprayed during the day and the mosquitos were no where to be seen by the night. It is great having a reliable company for the pest spray and fertilization program!

I love having a lawn care company that is always prompt! They answer any questions or concerns of mine right away. The crews are super nice and helpful when they come to my house. They even post informational videos to Facebook to help address any concerns!

Do not use this service. They submitted an invoice for hours that they did not work -14 man hours vs the 9 they actually worked. During the dispute, the management was rude, and had a take it or leave it attitude. They actually hung up on me. In the end, they just ran my CC. There are plenty of other landscapers out there that want repeat business, I would suggest that you use them.

Lawn care/ Landscaping is not cheap regardless of what company you go with. Last fall I was working long hours and did not have time to take up all the heavy leaves in my yard. My experience has been when there are heavy leaves piled up in your yard through the winter, it results in dead spots in the grass the following spring. I didn t want the dead spots, and my grass is now nice and green this spring (May 2017) thanks to all the leaves removed by GREEN ACRES last fall. I love doing my own lawn work when time allows. When time does not allow, I recommend GREEN ACRES.

As far as the actual service goes, Id say they are decent. Their workers are nice. However, our experience with their customer service has been poor. After their workers did something to our yard we hadnt asked for, Casey and his secretaries expressed no interest in acknowledging that they had messed up and staunchly refused to make things right in any way. They sounded angry/irritated at us on the phone (despite us being calm, polite and respectful), and blamed us for the mistake. It seems they dont really care if they lose you as a customer. Weve chosen to stick with them for now just to get through the season, as we were already scheduled and didnt have time to look elsewhere. However most likely we will look elsewhere next year. Id prefer to give my business to a company that actually appreciates it and wants to make the customer happy!

This was our first time hiring a landscape company. We were looking to put down sod in our backyard. We have several low areas that fill up in the rain and 2 large breed dogs. [Growing grass from seed just does not work with dogs.] Our quote included laying sod & creating formal beds in other areas and covering the beds with mulch. The work was done yesterday and is absolutely beautiful! We wish we had done it sooner! Vince and the landscape crew did a wonderful job!

Love, love, love my yard. I have had 2 other companies in the past 4 yrs. I noticed my neighbors yard always looked nice. So I was referred to Green Acres. Well by late summer my yard was not looking so hot. I ask them to look at it. I sent a few pictures. And Scott called me right away and gave me a diagnosis. Just by looking at my pictures! I was skeptical, but I okd a fungus application and aeration service. And seeding. Which he explained everything to me. I am now looking at a green lush carpet!!! I have never seen my yard look so beautiful!! And they are so reasonably priced. I cant thank them enough for everything!! Thank you Scott! So professional.

After addressing my crab grass concerns in late 2015 the yard started out in good shape for 2016. I had very little crab grass issues this year and when I did start to get some Green Acres took care of it right away. They just recently aerated my yard and hopefully this will help the yard to fill in even better. I was a little disappointed that we didnt do it earlier so I could have seeded the yard as well. Green Acres does a good job and I plan on using them again next year.

Green Acres Lawn care did the aeration on my 2/3 acre lot, when I had called 3 other Pros to do the this job each one promised to perform and all three did not show up. Thanks again Green Acres.

I first contacted Green Acres on a Monday to request an estimate to clear out the excessive growth on my rental property and explained in detail of what I needed to have removed. They stated that they would be out that Friday. When that Friday came along, I contacted them that evening to ask about the estimate and they stated that they didnt make it to the property and then asked what it was that I wanted to have done again. I re-explained what I needed done and they said that they would get back to me on another date to look at the property. I didnt hear from them in a few days so I hired someone else. I understand that sometimes things falls through the cracks and gave them the benefit of the doubt and asked them to estimate resealing the driveway. They contacted me with a quote and took down my financial information and was told that I was put on their work schedule but never gave me a date. This was ok as I needed this done within the next week or so and assumed they would contact me when the work was complete. Unfortunately they never showed up. I opted not to contact them again to ask what happened as this was twice that they dropped the ball. I read that Green Acres does good work but they need to improve on their customer management and scheduling processes.

Approximately, four years ago, I decided to change landscaping firms. Green Acres was suggested to me by a local retail garden center. I made the change and have been very pleased I did. The management, staff, and technicians have been very responsive to our needs, addressed our questions, have worked diligently to provide solutions, are respectfully of our property, and at a fair price. They do more than just cut and fertilize a lawn. We like their reliable full service approach. What more could you ask for!

Driveway coating was applied: Price was fair and they gave a reasonable life expectancy of product they applied. They arrived when they said they would and the people that did the work were friendly and courteous. I have dealt with them prior to this for some landscape reconstruction needs and they have done what they promised and as things go sometimes glitches happen but they stood behind their work and made good. This is why Id recommend them.
