Fantastic work! We could not be more pleased at the entire process and the finished product. Bryan took us through the design process and made sure that we were informed and pleased even though we asked for multiple revisions. They guided us through all of the permitting required. Devin and his crew were amazing and worked magic to bring everything to life. Johnny was always in touch and making sure we had the right information and also provided guidance on changes that we wanted to make. Justin and his crew has been great during the follow ups. Again, we have been super pleased with the outcome and the work. I highly recommend Alderwood!

Have used Alderwood twice on large backyard living space projects and recommend them highly. First, they take the time to work with you on a design (they have designers on staff) that incorporates all elements, provide you with material samples, pictures, etc. When we struggled to make decisions they took us shopping to see samples (light fixtures, paver types, etc) and helped us visualize. We ve been really impressed by this process. The construction crews are highly professional. They are thoughtful and careful with neighbors when dealing with moving equipment in and out, noise, and those kinds of things. They are great communicators and set really good expectations about project length and other details. When we asked for tweaks or changes midstream there was never any grousing or grumbling - they were very focused on making sure we were 100% happy. The guys on our crew were Colin, Max and Michael, and Patrick was the Construction Manager. In both cases, the finished projects were even more stunning than we expected. Top notch.

Nick, Riley, Ben, Justin and the rest of the team did an amazing job on our landscaping project. These guys worked long and hard for a month to build our dream backyard oasis. The entire company is top notch and great to work with. We are looking forward to having them come back for the redesign of the front yard!

We used Alderwood to redesign and redo our landscaping. It was an incredible experience. Our landscape architect and project manager, Tim Glass and Johnny Struiksma, met with us multiple times to perfect our design and had great ideas we adopted. Our crew chief, Patrick, was super friendly and responsive to our requests. His crew of three others worked hard and well together and went above and beyond to make us happy. Our project was completed on time and exceeded our expectations. Alderwood is expensive but you absolutely get what you pay for. They are a highly professional and capable team. We couldn t be happier with the experience of working with them and our new yard.

This is our second project with Alderwood. Tim designed an awesome resort style backyard with a firepit, water feature, trampoline area, and an outdoor kitchen. Johnny kept the project moving despite the many challenges. For example, he reached out to a neighboring HOA even though he did not know anything about the board to resolve a fence issue. Patrick, Drew and the crew were amazing! They were not able to use standard equipment to move boulders so they made it work with smaller equipment. They demonstrated incredible skill and attention to detail by maneuvering boulders in a narrow space between our house and fence line. The backyard turned out incredible. Definitely looking forward to the summer!

We used Alderwood Landscaping for our backyard project this spring. We are very pleased with the transformation of our new space. We selected Alderwood due to our size of project, design team expertise, reputation for quality, integrity of product installation, customer service, professionalism, attention to detail, and warranty. We completed the project in three phases, complete with two large fountain features that were packed with customization, two fire pits (gas & real) an outdoor kitchen, large pool, numerous drainage designs, 4 full semi truck loads of pavers, large amounts of sitting rocks, flower bed designs, thoughtful plant selection, lighting, irrigation, the works. Overall, approx. 4 months of work with a crew of 4. Jonny, Pat, Tim, and crew were incredible throughout. Always thoughtful of, and driving for, the best possible outcome. The design team made multiple visits to think through the details, made minor changes along the way to enhance the product outcome and resort experience. A huge thanks to Pat for his professionalism and drive to always make the customer happy. This is an incredible team put together to deliver a resort experience that we are thrilled with. Not only could we not have asked for a better result, but it s great when you get to the end and feel lucky you selected the team you did, because you didn t realize all the stuff you didn t think about. Awesome team, and awesome results. Worth every penny!

We just finished our second project with Alderwood and they did an amazing job AGAIN! Tim Glass designed both our projects and they turned out incredible. Tim, Dann Van Hook and Seth Kernodle met with us multiple times during the design phase and they had great ideas and suggestions that we incorporated into our project. Once the project started, the crew on the ground (led by Jordan) executed the design flawlessly. Jordan and his team worked diligently all day in sweltering heat, cleaned up every night and they were always professional and friendly. It s obvious they take great pride in their work and I can t say enough great things about how well the Alderwood team communicates. Kudos to the entire team (Tim, Dann, Seth, Jordan, Brady, Landon and Harry) you all made our project enjoyable and we will miss seeing you!

The Alderwood team is top notch. We are so happy with the final product. And unlike many home contracting projects, the journey was also pleasant, even fun! From the landscape architect, to the project planner, to the build site manager and his team, Alderwoods team is incredibly professional, responsive to communication and feedback, and focused on excellence in their work and product. Alderwood exceeded our expectations. Tim understood our vision and created a modern, elegant, and functional design. Johnnys advice on materials to use for the patio, walls and lighting was spot on. I had originally picked a product that I thought would work, however, after our first meeting I realized I made the wrong choice. I was thrilled he provided his opinion. They advertised in our mailbox but when I called about creating a backyard patio with a firepit, they rejected the project right away saying that if it is less that $50,000 they are not interested. Rejecting customers from the get go is a rather surprising way of doing business.

Alderwood Landscaping is a top notch landscape design company. They are ultra professional. We contacted them because our neighbor used them and recommended them (always a good start). We met with Tim Glass, the architect, multiple times to go over my numerous change requests until I had it just the way I wanted. They are booked out for months! But they were able to start a few weeks ahead of schedule (yeah!). They were very good about communicating via e-mail and phone. Then the fun started. Jonathan, the project coordinator, helped me pick out the pavers, the lighting, etc. He was a great source of information. The crew lead by Nick was AMAZING. Jose, Devin, Matt, and Anthony were so nice, friendly, and considerate. They were meticulous and really hard workers! When it came time to plant everything, they even let my young children help. On the final walk through, the warranty team even came out to introduce themselves in case we need them afterwards. They are a luxury landscape design company, and their attention to detail shows. Now our friends have backyard envy :)

We had Alderwood Landscape Architecture and Construction design, reimagine, and reconstruct our backyard, and we absolutely LOVE it! We are giving ALDERWOOD 5 STARS but we would give them a GAZILLION more stars if we could. Let us just say we fell in love with this company and the dynamic team from the first contact with Nicole (sales and office assistant) and during our first visit from Tim Glass (Head Landscape Architect) to discuss our project. Then we were awestruck again when Devin Vine (site leader) and his AWESOME crew of Jose Sr, Jose Jr and Santos walked into our backyard and immediately put us at ease with their bias for action, attention to detail and customer obsession. Then we met Johnny Struiksma AKA Iron Man ! Johnny is the backbone of the operation and his background as a landscape architect, skill in leading and managing people and problem solving was central to the success of the project. The Alderwood team had to deal with poor drainage, complex requirements, logistic issues, and many other things. They addressed all these challenges with professionalism, poise, and excellent communication. The result was a beautiful Zen like backyard oasis that exceeded our expectations. They built a beautiful entryway to our backyard that ensures a surprise as soon as our guests cross into our yard. The backyard has three unique but connected spaces. It includes a Zen like garden space. A patio that is perfect for entertaining and relaxing on a warm Summer night, And, to finish, a fire pit that is a fantastic focal point that creates an alluring atmosphere to chill and socialize serving to complement our backyard oasis on a starry night. The overall design is, at the same time, both beautiful and practical. Alderwood s talented team is no doubt a very critical part of their success but the secret sauce is the strength and conviction of their leadership. From the top down, they represent and instill their company philosophy and their extraordinary values and virtues down to every team member and each team member embodies these values back to their customers. The management team reinforces these beliefs through genuine respect and care for their people and values each worker. Because of this, they get great things done on a consistent basis. They all are the best team of contractors and service providers my husband and I have ever experienced, bar none! I started researching landscape projects several years ago. My first meeting with Tim Glass was approximately 2016. We again revisited in 2018, and I explained what I wanted in terms of cascading waterfall, lights, a place for a hottub, and we put plans into action in 2018, and began and finished the project in 2019. I have met a few of The Alderwood team members, although Jordan and Tim have been my key points of contact throughout. Even to this day over Labor Day, on Labor Day Jordan fielded my call with questions on how to drain the waterfall for algae cleaning. Tim is always available for questions as well. These guys have been awesome. I unfortunately dont have the luxury of traveling much these days, so my backyard is my mental retreat and my oasis. Cant recommend highly enough. Great job guys.

Their salesperson ignored our privacy and knocked on our door soliciting business despite *two* clear no soliciting signs. If a business cannot respect homeowners privacy, I doubt they can be trusted with real work. Please stop it.

This is a long one, so here s the bottom line: these guys are highly professional, dedicated, responsive, experienced individuals who will bend over backwards to create your dream outdoor space. The nitty gritty We contacted these guys in July 2017 to discuss our project involving a large covered stone patio, water feature, hot tub, and fire pit. About a week later we met with architect Tim Glass who we ended up meeting with 4 more times over the next 2 months to finalize our dream concept. While concessions had to be made in order to accommodate our budget, all the features we wanted ended up being included in some form or another. Tim doesn t cut corners just to get a design done. He really takes the time to work and rework his plan in order to make you 100% happy. Once we approved the design and paid a hefty deposit, work was scheduled to start the week before Thanksgiving. That s when we met the best workers and human beings we ve gotten to meet in our lives. Our assigned team of builders showed up everyday by 7:30 am and worked daily until after dark. Seth (aka Cuddly Pitbull), the project manager, isn t just a outstanding builder. He s a true gentleman, an artist, a guy who takes pride in his work, a joy to have around. He and his sidekicks Collin (aka The Flash) and Jordan (aka Johnny Depp) worked steadily in the rain and the cold with the most positive attitude. I would sometimes interrupt them in the middle of challenging work to request that a certain thing be done a certain way and they would happily comply. Their energy and composure in harsh weather conditions were truly inspirational. Our project was completed in 6 weeks, quicker than expected. They left everything spotless, which was no small feat considering how muddy the whole situation had been. The result was mind blowing. Not only did everything look beautiful, but it was DONE RIGHT. No more drainage issues or poorly located sprinkler heads. The materials used make everything a breeze to maintain. We enjoyed having these guys around so much, it was hard to see them leave. The supervisory team was equally outstanding. Johnny Struiksma was in charge of communication and supervision. Not only would he stop by the job site on a regular basis, he was easy to reach via email and responded to our inquiries within a couple of hours. On the rare occasion that he wasn t available, Dann Van Hook would step in for him. Johnny also took care of communicating with the subcontractors on our behalf, which relieved us of ay additional burden. Work and payment schedules were always communicated to us clearly, and always in writing. Towards the end of the project, Johnny emailed to make sure we didn t have any final requests and that everything was done to our liking. It s now been a few months since the project was completed and we LOVE our backyard. We spend more time in our outdoor space than inside, rain or shine. Alderwood is simply the best builder we ve ever worked with and it s heartwarming these days to know that there are still people out there who take pride in their work are not just out to make a quick buck. Sure, it was an expensive project, but we got our money s worth and then some.

We decided to have our entire back yard re-landscaped, and after talking with a few friends who had used Alderwood Landscaping, we decided to go with them for our project. From beginning to end, they were wonderful to work with and did an excellent job. Our Landscape Architect, Tim, listened carefully to all of our requirements, feedback, & concerns and developed a design that exceeded our expectations. When the work started, the team were not only able to start the work earlier but the efficiency, courtesy and professionalism of the crew including Brent, Jordan, Doug and KC was outstanding. Not only did they do an amazing job of communicating progress but helped us resolve any minor issues that arose during the construction, removing any stress on us. We wouldn t hesitate in recommending Alderwood Landscaping to anyone needing their yard landscaped, as we now have the back yard we always dreamed of.

We hired Alderwood Landscape Architecture and Construction to completely revamp the majority of our back yard space to include water features, fire pit, lighting, landscaping, hard surface replacement and an outdoor living space. We met with Tim who did an outstanding job listening to us, translating our landscaping and building needs into amazing plans and connecting us with the right contractors to handle all elements of the building construction. Tims overall design was fantastic and his plant selection was inventive and colorful!!! He has a true eye for developing a warm, year round color palate for planting areas. Additionally, he listened well to what I was looking for and was willing to change his plans as necessary to incorporate my personal likes and dislikes. We plan to do additional work in the front at a later date! Dann was our overall project manager. We never had any problems with scheduling, project management, or accurate budgeting and billing information. Given how many projects he oversees were very impressed with his willingness to help us out at every turn when we had questions about the project, timelines, materials, product specifications, and alternate materials as necessary. He provided me with multiple sub-contractors to interview and select for other aspects of the project and was helpful every step of the way. The landscaping, water feature, hard surface, and lighting team was led by Nick Lane who had a great team of very helpful, conscientious team members, Jose, Drew, and others. Every day they were on time, worked hard, and were always willing to answer my myriad of questions regarding the processes they were using to dismantle the old hardscapes, dig fountains, lay stones, water feature maintenance, etc.. It was a labor intensive process and we were so happy with every aspect of the implementation. For the building construction we hired Nick Alexander and his team to do the outdoor living space that had multiple elements to the project and required several sub-contractors. Nick and his team, Don and Zach, were amazing. From the beginning Nick listened to what we wanted and quickly converted our thoughts into an amazing CAD drawing. Nick offered great input into the design process, listened to our changes and seamlessly implemented them into the final design. Having built a lot of projects from the ground up over the years, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the process was from planning through implementation. The schedule was well managed, the construction site was always clean and safe at the end of the work day, and the materials were always top notch. There were no corners cut anywhere. Professionalism was the constant mode for communication and project management. Shortly after the entire project was finished we had over 100 people over and the comments about the space, landscaping, water features, etc., were all positive and people really enjoyed the space, the quality, and the design. We would highly recommend this company and their team and would hire them for additional work as needed!
