This is the second time we had Eddy's team come and do work at our house. We could not be more pleased! After Hurricane Helene, we had chimney and roof damage. Eddy gave us an honest assessment of the best course of action for our home, and provided great work at a reasonable quote. He even replaced some additional rotting wood that was not previously discovered. Would highly recommend!
We hired Edy to take two gigantic trees that had fallen during the hurricane on our house. He came out immediately in great spirits and ready to work with his crew. They worked for two solid days making sure my home was safe. They cleaned up everything and charged a very fair amount. He let me know every step of the way what was going on. If I could give him and his crew 10 stars I would!! I'm so glad to have his card in my back pocket for future projects.
We hired Mr Eddy at A&R Professional Landscaping to install a rear Deck With Roof on my home. I want to Thank Mr Eddy and his entire staff for a great job. Mr Eddy and his crew went beyond my expectations. They showed a level of craftsmanship that made the project stand out from other decks. You can count on Mr Eddy and his crew to do a superior job and at a very competitive price.
We would not recommend Edy for a flagstone patio project. We unfortunately did not have the 5-star experience that others have had, but our experience is limited to a flagstone patio and not other handyman services. If you want stone work done, we would recommend finding a stone mason or someone that specializes in stone work; that was our mistake. We met Edy in April 2024, hired him to lay a 1000 sq ft flagstone patio and fired him in June 2024 and negotiated for a $750 refund. However, issues continued after that, and I texted him photos/videos on 7/29/24 and requested another $1250 back. He has completely ignored us. I submitted a BBB complaint and that was ignored too. Some reasons we fired him in June 2024: 1. Kept saying things and not following through: - He was late to start. - We asked him on 5/9/24 to finish by 5/24/24 and he said "don't worry, I assure you that we will complete the work before May 24." He wasn't even close to finishing on 5/24. So the date came and went and he never addressed it. - He said he would finish the job in about 2 weeks, but on week 4, the joints between the stones were not even started. - It took him so long because we felt he wasn't fully committed to our job; he had minimal workers here most of the time, even just one guy for a few days, and he was rarely here too. - Texted him on 5/13/24 asking for him to clean the stones as he went and he wrote “Yes.” This did not happen. They pressured washed small areas maybe twice and then stopped. We had to scrub with acid and pressure wash to get it clean after we fired him because they left the stones such a mess. 2. They set areas with many small stones put together instead of fewer, larger stones; they didn't cut stones or chisel them like a professional stone mason would do to have thinner, consistent joints (we fixed this ourselves by chiseling up the stones and resetting fewer, larger stones that we cut to make them fit well - they should have done this!) 3. We started noticing stones popping up easily; not set fully in a mortar bed as a professional would do. We paid him $8000 and he gave us $750 back, so we paid him a net of $7250. Now, we would like another $1250 back due to further issues with the stone: 1. Big issue: inconsistent, wide joints (we've been told by other professional stone masons/contractors that the gaps between the stones are too wide and inconsistent) 2. We have been working on the patio ourselves and have had even more stones pop up easily; there was dirt underneath, meaning they didn’t clean the stones off before setting them. - You can see that the mortar did not cover the entire bottom of the stone, meaning they did not set the stone fully in a proper mortar bed. - This can also be seen here: after it rained, you could see and hear water being pushed out from under the stones, meaning there are gaps under the stones and water is getting under them. 3. We discovered many cracked stones that they had set anyway or did not notice. If they had cleaned, as he said they would, they would have found the cracked stones. We again had to chisel them up and replace them. 4. We had to add mortar to gaps under the stones that you could easily see; again, no proper mortar bed. To avoid issues with cracking and settling in the future, the stones must be set fully in mortar and cover the entire bottom of the stone. We have included photos to show just a few recent examples of this. However, all of this has happened many, many times and we have had to chisel up the stones and the mortar and reset the stones ourselves, after having paid him $7250. We have had to do this with about 1/3 to 1/2 of the stones he laid and this is why we are asking for another $1250 back. This was not a quality, professional job. Again, we recommend hiring a stone mason or someone more experienced if you want stone work done.
Edy is a professional, giving and sticking to honest quotes and then doing excellent work. He did mowing, edging, trimming and mulch for a property we were getting ready to sell and it looked way better when his crew was done. He even came in under his material estimate for pine straw for our property instead of simply charging his quote when I wouldn’t have known exactly how many bales he used.
Very satisfied with Edy and his teams work. He was able to fix my retaining wall fast and gave a reasonable price while giving thorough explanation of how to repair it. I will be using him again in the future!
I called A&R landscaping to fix my front porch and I am so glad I did. Mr. Edy Chaves responded immediately, came by to give a fair and thorough quote, and was able to begin work the next week. He kept me informed about every step of the process. I couldn't be happier with the end result or the cost of the services. I will be calling A&R again for any landscaping or handyman needs. Can't recommend them highly enough!
Edy and his crew did a fantastic job removing a tree from our yard. They also did some carpentry work on our front gable, restoring it to a like new finish. A&R is a responsive company with fair pricing. I will definitely use them again for future services.

I want to thank Eddie and his team for helping us put together our bed and tv mount stands. His team was caring and very professional! I had to contract out Eddies team because the movers who suppose to had assembled our heavy duty bed did a horrible job putting it together. The other company didnt even screw the bed in right and we almost was on the floor literally smh! We slept like a baby last night because our bed is now sturdy again thanks to Eddies team! Please everyone support this business! They have such an amazing loving and caring spirit about them. I will definately contract them on any project we come up with in the near future. Eddie told us his team can do anything except air conditioning so if you have projects that need some professional hands on it please call them right away! Extremely professional service! After my yard man ran off with my 200$ I paid him in advance, I was highly ticked off. I hired A&R and they came out the next day and now my lawn makes me happy. Positive

Edy provided yard regrading, sod, french drains, redirected gutter drains, paver grill pad and installed fence. Overall transformed an non-usable yard into somewhere we can enjoy our evenings and host gatherings. We love it!

I am very glad that I hired A & R for several projects. I would hire them again. They have a range of skills (there doesn t seem to be anything that they cannot do!) and charge a reasonable price. The owners are wonderful people and treat customers with respect and honesty. Just understand that as they become better known they will be busier and harder to book. Bottom line: you will appreciate them during your next project.
Eddie has done several jobs for me including tile, painting, plumbing, and door maintenance; his workmanship is always top notch! He is responsive, affordable, detailed and takes pride in his work. Eddie is a pleasure to work with and look forward to hiring him again in the future!

It was truly a pleasure working with Mr. Chavez! I hired him to fix an issue with water entering the home that had been going on for a while. Individuals had come out previously, but never fully fixed the issue. Mr. Chavez found the problem and assured me that I wouldn t have the issue any longer. He explained to me everything he was doing throughout the process and finished the job way sooner than I had expected. His communication, customer service, professionalism, and quality of work were all top notch. I will definitely be using his services again in the future!

A&R does an outstanding job. They have taken care of my lawn for two years. The keep my lawn fresh and manicured. They never fail to show up as agreed. They take the extra step to ensure my lawn always looks great, like mowing surrounding weeds and fixing my pine straw flowerbeds. Ed the owner even helped me replace my broken sprinkler heads and installed my electronic doggie doors. Reliable, honest, and a great company to work with.

Edy did an absolutely amazing job on my pool grotto project. After another contractor did some sub-par and unsafe work on my pool project, I called Edy to fix it. I showed him a picture of what the original grotto was supposed to look like and he said, no problem, I can build it. I gave the project to Edy and I can say I am glad I did. The product he delivered greatly surpassed the original photo I showed him and I am very happy with his work. He is a very hard worker and kept me engaged throughout the entire project. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
Called A&R to replace a couple of bricks on the exterior of a house. They did an excellent job and took extra care to match the grout as close as possible. Edy was very friendly and professional and did the work when they said they would. Definitely recommend them and I plan to use them again in the future!

Edy did an outstanding job cleaning and re-doing the flowerbed area all around my house. He began by removing 28 year old railroad cross ties and then cleaning the area completely. Finally, he re-mulched the entire area. He made sure I was completely satisfied with all of his work After he finished, he encouraged me to survey all around and let him know of any dissatisfaction. He worked on the job every day until it was completed. He is a very hard working man. I am very pleased with this company. and recommend them HIGHLY.
We just moved to the area and had no idea who to hire to do our yard work. Edy was cutting a yard in our neighborhood so we stopped and asked him if he could look at ours. Not only did he give us a great price, he was able to manicure our yard that day and did a fantastic job! We will definitely continue using Edy for our yard and other odds and ends we need done to our house!

Edy and his crew are very hard workers. He has various capabilities and expertises in both landscaping and all around general contracting. I have hired him for several homeowner projects in the last six months. The latest job was to clear and landscape a yard overgrown with vines. They show up as scheduled and completed the job in a timely manner. He is able to coordinate delivery of supplies needed so that there are no delays. He stays on task with an eye for detail to make exceptional improvements. I am another one of his satisfied customers for a job well done!!
