They will argue 2+2 =5 and take your money its insane .They dont follow proper instructions from the manufacturer of the treatments they use and will tell you youre wrong and refuse to refund you. They will claim your behind on payment when there dashboard says otherwise and stop service without notice. They will do the lime treatment program and youll have more moss than ever. They damage your lawn from improper machine use.

Tick spraying seems to keep ticks down during times during the year when they are highly active.

The technician was excellent, paying attention to details which I appreciated. However the truck took out a line between two telephone poles on my property. My brother (my neighbor) noticed the dangling wires between the two poles.

My daughter and son-in-law have told me of this service for several years now and with the high mosquitos and tick risk I decided to use this service and it is great! I have been able to sit outside during the evening hours and it have been a great summer. I highly recommend Mainely Grass.

Good service, and they perfom the treatments they say they will do, unlike a national franchise firm that would frequently only do half the job and/or not show up at all. Mainley will also come back out for top up treatment at no charge should any new weeds emerge. I have always found their technicians to be well informed and curtious.

Been a customer with them for a few years now and have always had a great experience. Their customer service is really what sets them apart. The lawn looks great so the results are there too. And the pricing is very reasonable especially when you consider they will come out for free in between service calls if there s any issues with the lawn. Definitely would recommend!

Is the service a bit pricey? Yes, is it worth every penny, yes. In Fall 2021 moved into a new home. Fall 2021/spring 2022, rain washed away most of the hydro seed and I was left with a barren desert of a lawn. From spring 2022 until Fall of 2023, Mainely grass turned my lawn from dust into lush, and I ve almost got the best lawn on a street of 40 homes (75% of these homes are 4+ years old, and Mainely grass helped me have full turf in less than a year) Thank You Mainely grass - highly recommend. 4/10/24 update - Wanted to shout out Andy, his knowledge of grass, New England s and his customer service was tremendous

We are extremely pleased with Mainely Grass. They are prompt and responsive to any issue. Yesterday Joseph arrived and was extremely polite and very friendly, respectful and understanding. Every time they come, I get a text a few days prior, and if I have questions/concerns I can text them and receive an immediate response! When they do arrive on the day of the scheduled service, they always ring the doorbell to make sure all questions are answered. Easily 5+ star service. And the treatment? Rarely see a mosquito (despite the intense rain) and zero ticks. This allows us to actually use the yard free of mosquitoes!

Our large yard was often admired and even referred to as Fenway! But that was a few years ago. We had been managing our own maintenance and fertilizing but each year it became weedier and weedier. Now looking like a little league field at best, minus the bases! We do not have irrigation and our well is fragile so we have had to rely on Mother Nature and building a strong root system. Our attempts at pre emergent treatment and fertilization were spotty to put it mildly. Time for professionals! We started late in the beginning of August when crabgrass and other weeds were well established. Our lawn looks better already and they came back free of charge 3 weeks later to reapply post emergence weed killer. Our plan is to switch to organic once we get weeds controlled. They offer that as well. Pricey? Kind of, but taking everything into consideration I think it will be worth it.

We paid to have the best lawn in the neighborhood. Techs do not convey information after they service your yard you have to call half the time. They did inform us that we had Brown patch even though there were several techs that had been out here. And even more important Brown patch is not covered in the regular service. Everything is add-on and they just want to charge more money. So all in all for the ridiculous amount of money we spent we could have done the same ourselves. Disappointment is not something I can put into writing..

Don t be fooled by the fake made up reviews. I ve been a paying customer for two years. This season they ve showed three times charged me more than $800. They have not shown up since the beginning of August. Apparently their guy called in sick and they didn t have anyone available to take his place. We are now 5 days into October. Nobody bothered to contact me to make me aware of the situation. It was only after I called to complain that they said they would come out soon at which time I declined because this company is no longer worthy of my trust.

We have been using Mainely Grass Organic Lawn Care Service for several years and couldnt be more pleased with both the quality and health of the grass and the customer service. During our first year with them, we also used their overseeding and aeration services to address some bare spots and the turnaround in those areas has been amazing. Also, we have found them to be very responsive, congenial and professional when answering any of our questions. Highly recommend! (And to address the previous review suggesting that these are all fake reviews, I guarantee you that this is not, nor am I affiliated with the company or any the staff. Just a happy customer who believes in giving credit where credit is due.)

Ive contracted with Mainely Grass for about 10 years. Initially they would have earned a 5 star rating from me, but the last 2 years they have been a disappointment. Weeds and moss are now common to see on my lawn. I received several calls from a representative to contract with them again this year. The representative assured me someone would come out in early spring to walk the property with me and my issues will be addressed. Despite my hesitation, I decided I will give them one more year to remedy the problems. Time will tell!

Each and every interaction with Mainely Grass results in a Value Added customer centered DIALOGUE balancing their Subject Matter Expertise, with customers expectations. That personal dialogue is what sets these folks head-and-shoulders above their competition and is a, Success Model, for all businesses, (IMHO). We have recommended MG to friends and neighbors, with confidence.

I have been at this address for 25 years and have used different services and done it myself on occasion. I have had the same person cutting the grass for years. Mainely Grass claims to have done a soil test in the spring and told me I did not need any lime?? I have to use lime every year we live in the woods. I questioned them and they stuck by their assessment. Over the season I had to call several times for weeds. They would come out and treat but did not clear up the weeds. I started seeing moss on my lawn at the end of August and called several times A manager finally came out but it was to late to do anything. Called again this spring and after another month manager came out again. Would not take any responsibility or offer any help. Just offered to sign me up for another year. Blamed me and the landscaper, even though Mainely Grass are the only difference in my lawn care over the last several years. Now I have to rip out the lawn out to get rid of the moss.

Andrew Sheehan from Mainely Grass came by for the first application of the season. This is the third year Ive used Mainely Grass and I have been very satisfied with the service and results. Today, Andrew and I walked the yard and discussed various aspects of lawn care, identified some problem areas and discussed ideas for mitigating them. Andrew made sure I understood todays application and what to expect this summer and fall. Simply the best service Ive had to date. I give Mainely Grass my highest recommendation.

Have been using Mainely Grass for Tick & Mosquito control - very pleased. During most recent visit (05/25/22) I mentioned to their technician (Andrew Sheehan, accompanied by Trainee Kurtys) that I planned to re-roof and repaint shed located at a bushy/wooded area on the lot and was very appreciative of the extra effort they made on all four sides of the shed to make sure that area received extra attention during their visit.

This is my first year with Mainely grass and i have only had two visits, so I cannot comment on how well the services are helping my lawn. However, my technician (Andrew) has been phenomenal. Such much so that i am writing this review to praise his friendliness, enthusiasm, knowledge, and attention to detail. Andrew also saved my clover (I purposefully plant clover for ground cover) When Andrew noticed a herbicide was scheduled to be applied to my lawn, he sought guidance before blindly applying it. I used them last year and they ruined my lawn. I tried canceling and they talked me into trying to fix it so I let them try one more time. This year they did basically the same thing. I just wish I didnt use them again this year, as it seems worse off than previous and I know will take a couple years now to fix. Their customer service is also terrible. TruGreen was better, cheaper, and actually had good customer service...

Our tech Juan Ovalles treats our property like his own. He educates us on what he will be performing during his service call. He is very professional and Mainely Grass is lucky to have him. I would highly recommend.

I have used Mainely grass for over 5 years. We never were able to get the weeds under control. The staff that came out always did their best. This year when we received our bill it was MUCH higher than normal. We had not received any notification that rates were going up so we assumed it would be the same or have a modest increase. It was a staggering increase and when I addressed it with the manager Mike, he refused to rectify this situation. He was abrupt and has no idea what customer service is. The whole situation could have been avoided with a proactive discussion on rising costs. I will no longer do business with Mainely Grass. Update: The owner reply is completely untrue. Synopsis of the e-mail exchange from the manager was on May 31,22 was: Dean, The price for your first service has been corrected... Please know that we will honor these prices for the remainder of this season if you would like to continue with our services? Have a great day, Mike On Aug 5, 22 I sent: Mike, I thought we had an agreement. I cannot believe we are still dealing with this same issue... Please look at the history of the account and notice this is higher than any treatment we have ever had... Frustrated customer, Aug 8, 22 Another Mike (I assume the owner) replied No, I am not. (going to change the price) Price increased across the board for your size... BOTTON LINE is that Mainely Grass cannot be trusted and they will offer one price and charge another.

Gregory Ciotti came and was very informative and cordial. This is my 2and experience with him and he is a pleasure. Whoever gets this man is in for a very good deal. On August 16th Bradley came and applied fertilizer and spot treated some weeds. He was respectful and we appreciate his work. Yesterday on 9/21/22 Andrew was here and did the final winterizer application to our lawn. He is always a gentleman and he did a very good job as this was his 3rd time here servicing our property. He is a pleasure to deal with. Were very satisfied.

In July when I started to look for a company to help me with my lawn problems I was very leary as I had other companies treat my lawn with no results. I came across Mainly Grass while searching websites and OMG did i hit the jackpot. From the start til now my yard doesnt even look the same! Jared serviced our complex today. He applied lime, weed prevention, and crabgrass prevention. He took the time to blow off some of the fertilization that landed on the walkways. We have always had a great experience with all the workers from Mainely Grass and Jared, though it was his first time at our complex, continued the tradition.

The actual technician is great and professional. The issue I have is with their customer service. I emailed them two days ago - didn t receive a response. I just called concerned about the ticks. We had our last service 3 weeks ago. I got lectured about the weather and how they can t tell me when they will show up next because computer does the scheduling and there is nothing we can do . Very unprofessional. Very disappointed.

Used for 3 years and each year after the first was a let down greater than the one before. We cancelled our service after too many issues last year which included a wand malfunction that burned the grass. Which was not evident to the tech even though there were blobs of chalky white substance on the driveway... but heck.. let s just use it on the grass. They came out to repair after multiple complaints and photos where they stood by there position that not all the damage was from the malfunction and only repairs certain areas.. we were very clear that we use a Kentucky blue grass yet they send some kids over with some contractor grade mix and we stopped them after they started using it. They had to run out and buy some seed and come back. As a service provider for lawn beautification they should be trying to keep the customer well informed on what could be done to keep the lawn. We love in a town that has a water ban and the month of May and June of 2020 were very dry. We searched for alternatives to watering and found another company offering a moisture program they were not licensed for NH and recommended we contact a lawn service. We called them and they said they had it. Even though they repeatedly told me I needed to water and knowing we had the ban... sounds stupid, yes?? In the end they did pay for the electrical wire they cut up when they aerated with out notice and cut up the guide wires on the robotic mower... we would have marked out had they given the heads up like they are say they will... The labor is more than the wire and we still have issues as a result. We did not renew our contract, pursue or engage this company in any way. We have told them multiple times we would not be using them and even called last week to speak with the owner when someone showed up and performed a service that we have no contract for. They came blindly onto our property and sprayed chemicals when we already have service from another company. They didn t return the phone call and they had the nerve to send us a bill via email. ..Ridiculous!!! Do not go with Mainley Grass unless you want to be mainly disappointed!!

Truly professional and customer centric!

We only ended up going with this service once but the issues we ran into made it a company we will never go back to. We knew we had a grub issue and spoke with the field tech about getting them removed. He recommended the grub preventative. After we noticed a lot of grubs in our yard after about 5 weeks we called. Apparently the preventative does not kill the grubs as we had expected but we needed a grub killer instead. Not one person we spoke to was helpful. All they had to do was swap products but they acted like all we wanted was an extra free service and would only provide if we paid extra. Our understanding was that we had already paid for this. Their customer service was atrocious blaming us for the issue of miscommunication. Stating if there was an obvious grub problem the tech would have noticed dead spots on the lawn (spoiler alert: the whole lawn is brown and dead...). No one would let us speak with someone higher up to resolve the issue. After speaking with Sheila today she made it painfully clear that this company does not want to work with its customers. All 3 people we spoke with blamed us and acted as if we were looking for free services. This company does not take any responsibility and seems to push it all back to the customer. The tone and aggressive attitude all of their representatives took was disappointing and as someone who has spent the majority of their career in customer service I cannot fathom speaking to a customer this way. This company and its customers would be better served to have staff that wants to work with their customers rather than continually spewing that their is no way that it is their fault and we are just looking for free items.

My experience in the beginning wasnt so great. We Pre-paid for the tick spraying service. Did not get a call or email about when they would be out to do the service. After a week, I called. Talked to a woman who then never called me back after she said she would. Called days later, talked to a guy who was helpful but said they would be out in the beginning of the next week. No show or call that whole week. Two weeks and 2 days pass since I first paid, I called again and told them I needed a date when they would be out or I wanted a refund. The woman called me the next morning and said they would be out the next day. 730 am they showed up. The man was nice and said he would do a walk through and get started. He was polite and very professional.

I signed up to use Mainely Grass fertilization program which included grub preventative. We clearly had a grub issue and when signing up I asked if this program would take care of all my fertilization and grub issues. They confirmed, so we signed up. After we signed up and paid almost $1,000, they informed us the grub preventative would not resolve our current grub issue. They insisted that we had to pay additional money to take care of our grub problem. Why would they not tell us that upfront. It feels like a complete bait and switch. When discussing with customer service they said it was a miscommunication, but did not take any responsibility for the miscommunication. Additionally the customer service team was extremely aggressive and non apologetic. If they took responsibility and apologized for the miscommunication, much of this would have been resolved. This company will sell you on one set of products and then later say you need a completely different set of products to fix the issues. When I signed up I was informed all my issues would be taken care of, so why are they now trying to get me to spend more money? Response to Mainely Grass: I was initially sold on the program due to the fact Mainely Grass stated that what I was signing up for would solve all the issues. This is now not the case, and that there is additional products and additional charges to take care of the issues. Since I was lied to and treated poorly by customer service, I cancelled the service. Advice for future customers, make sure you get it in writing specifically what the services will do, and additional services that are not covered. Shame on me for trusting what customer service initially told me and not getting it in writing.

Mainly Grass is a complete waste of money! We spent upwards of $900 for our lawn to look worse than before they came .when we called to complain about the weeds they sent someone who said they are dying no need to re-spray the pictures below are weeks after they said that and as you see they are alive and taking over the lawn! I also spoke to a manager who said after all this they would send someone out for a soil test which NEVER happened! They has a million excuses about why we have the weeds but NEVER once called us, or offered help with the problem. They refunded a small portion of our money but there customer service is awful and they are very defensive and rude. Save your money and avoids this company they have greatly gone downhill

Thanks to the team who visited today. They moved a few stray pipes and other bits after the recent sprinkler installation and appreciated that we had new seed on some areas. Thank you for doing more than just the minimum and being responsive whenever we message you guys.

At first they were really excellent. Been using there services for approximately 5 years. This past year they have been really bad on fertilizer and weed control. Not really satisfied with the service. I will probably look elsewhere for a better service next year. They seem like they are trying to hurry through the process, so they can get more accounts done. I never had mushrooms growing on my lawn in the past years and the ground weeds are getting worst. Grubs are a big issue as well. Skunks are digging holes in the yard. They really seem to scale back on services. I added no new lawn in square footage, they came out to remeasure my lawn and said it seemed that the tech. Was spending too much time there. Issues since. Not the customers fault for the time there tech spent on the same lawn size.

Greg is our technician and knows our lawn well. Continued outstanding advice; our lawn has never looked better. Very conscientious about our lawns needs and the best ways for our family to care for the lawn so it stays green and plush.

I have used Mainely Grass for the past 6 years for mosquitos and ticks. They always do a fantastic job and give me my yard back. The product they put out is second to none!

Have used Mainely Grass for three or four years and been quite satisfied. The lawn certainly looks good but also have been very impressed with their responsiveness to problems that sometimes occur between visits. For example, this year a few small areas were damaged by chinch bugs. They identified them on a regular visit and, without my needing to call, set up a separate time to come and do slice seeding (at no charge) to repair those areas which now look great. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a lawn service.

I have had a couple bad experiences with lawn care but a neighbor recommended Mainely Grass and it was amazing what they did for my lawn. Starting with the very nice man who set up my account to their responsiveness when calling about an area of the lawn that was having issues with clover. They come out as often as you would like. I recommend them to so many people and I hope they take me up on it because they provide a great service!

I am not big on writing reviews. But I ve been working with this company for about 3 years now for both lawn fertilization and ORGANIC tick/mosquito control. Prior to partnering with MG, we couldn t sit on the porch at all without being eaten alive. It s August 2020...and I don t think I ve swatted more than a couple of mosquitoes all season. They re great! I always get an email the day before letting me know they re coming. That s huge because I can put windows down and keep the pets in that day. They show up when they say and they always do a very thorough job. They re also very responsive if you have a question or a concern. I recommend them for lawn care and pest control.

I had a chance to talk with Gregg who performed the service and he did a great job in explaining what was done to improve the lawn. He was very cordial and obviously knew what he was doing. A very pleasant experience.

Great organic tick control! We have deer and critters come through all the time. With our own drilled well we thought it prudent to use an organic compound to keep the ticks away. We stayed tick free for 12 months, and feel safe drinking the water!

What I like about Mainely Grass is this. They follow up if you have a problem and call when they will be coming to your home. When they say They will be at your home they are always there! I do really like Mainely Grass, but I do think they could improve on some things. One: When calling, use a number that says it is Mainely Grass. I dont know about other people, but if I dont know the number I ignore the call and the voice mail. Two: Somethings are better done by hand, for example when aerating the lawn only the main part of the lawn ever gets done, not the edges where I have all the issues. I think that the edges should be done manually and the hard to reach places. What I have found is if it can be reached with the machine it is ignored. Three: I have a sprinkler system and would really appreciate it if Mainely grass ensured they talked to me (not leaving a message on a unknown number) before coming.

Over the last month or so, there is areas of concern despite an irrigation system. Hopefully, Mainely Grass will address this issue

Mickael did an absolutely thorough job re-aerating and re-overseeding portions of our lawn that did not respond to aerating and over-seeding a month ago. We are very pleased with Mainely Grasss response to our request for help.

I told him that my lawn has never looked this good and I was extremely pleased compared to the previous company. As a matter of fact my neighbor asked me yesterday how I was able to have such beautiful lawn. I told her she should switch from that other company too.

Before going out and getting work done by companies that say they are going to get it done and sees your property on satellite and then gives you a quote - Think again. You may think you can do this your self as I did. My time is valuable and I found I missed applications or the spreader did not work properly and most of all I but the wrong application down, it happens. you are not saving money by doing it yourself when you have to do your work over again. Yes I do cut my own grass, Very rarely do I see an imperfection, If I do I make a call and they get a call back to me and tech is scheduled to come. Mainely Grass you have a people that understands about customer satisfaction that come out and sees you and understands the needs of a nice green lawn . Ryan has a great personality and will always make sure you as the customer feels comfortable and understands on what he is doing. Always you will here the blower working as they clean up any excess that maybe on sidewalks and driveways. Quality, Service, Personality. cant beat it

Since switching to Mainely Grass a couple of years ago, my lawn has never looked so good, except for when I was with the Lawn Dawg. Unfortunately, LD was bought out by another national company that I had dropped once before only to end up with them again. So once again, I switched to Mainely Grass and my lawn was the envy of the neighborhood. Their service was great, they know their business, and they explained in detail what I needed to do maintain a healthy lawn. They truly rescued my lawn from what their competitor (???) had done to it. I would highly recommend Mainely Grass to anyone, and actually, most of my neighbors have made the move to them. So should you!!!
