if you hire Garcias LM be sure to check their work during and after they visit. Garcias LM maintains the Walgreens property next door and blow the trash into an area behind the dumpster. I talked with a worker 2 months ago about the hazardous trash situation they were creating. He told me the Garcias LM managers told them to do this. This is a standard practice coming from the top. When I spoke with the Garcias worker I explained to him that I have to file a complaint with the city to get it clean and then Walgreens hires someone to clean it out and they also get fined by the city. The worker didnt seem to care and just repeated that his manager at Garcias LM told him to do this. I filed another complaint with Portlands Bureau of Development Services Code Enforcement Division regarding the mounting trash Garcias LM is creating. Walgreens is not only not getting the service theyre paying for they are being fined for it and have to hire someone to do it right. Check after they visit since Garcias LM will blow the trash you are paying them to pick up into a space you arent paying them to clean up. And Garcias LM management tells their workers to do this. Note in the attached picture that the trash can was placed there by Garcias. It was in the parking lot and I was surprised when they did it. So meta. If Garcia LM changes this practice long-term I am willing to update this review to reflect that. They shouldnt be doing this

Do not use this company! The worker are some of the rudest people!!!! Terrible customer service

The guys who came out and did the work have been excellent two years in a row, very happy with the service provided from the boots on the ground. The 2 stars are for the terrible customer service. Last year I made one phone call and on the books I went, came out and aerated, paid no issues. This year I called, the lady said $65 for aeration, said I would get an email for schedule. Never got one, week later called again, same thing wait for an email. Time went by and I emailed the business, nothing back. Finally after a 3rd phone call I got an email later that day. The date was scheduled, they came out and aerated no issues. Then I get a bill from the scheduler that says $79. I emailed about the discrepancy and he said he s not sure where that came from even though I pointed out it came from whoever answers the phone here. I asked if the confusion was fixed and I got nothing back. Emailed back to ensure this doesn t happen to anyone else and finally got the same response again. In conclusion I had to pursue these guys for my business over and over again. Got two different prices, a chain of emails and a bunch of wasted time. I will shop elsewhere next year and I suggest most do the same to avoid the headache.

Awful customer service experience. My wife set up an appt to have them come to our home and do an estimate. We wanted to have some trees removed and replaced with others, same with some fruit bushes we have. The person came out the day they said they were. Person was professional & was there on time. Gave us the estimate. This was 8/23. We agreed to do the work & they said they could start in September. Then when we agreed to the work, thats when things started to go south. My wife sent in the electronic form to agree to the work. They never got back to us to set it up. My wife called & asked someone to call us. They never did. She had to call again & say were not really starting off on the right foot here. They told us someone would get back to us. This went on 3-4 times. Then, they called us during the week of 9/18 stating that they were going to be out on 9/21-9/22 to do the work. Were also have construction work done on the outside of the house that was supposed to start back up this week. We asked our contractors to hold off, so it wouldnt interfere with the landscape work. My wife called the business the afternoon of 9/20. To let them know that there were construction supplies in one of our 2 alleys and to confirm they were going to be there today. We brought our dog to work on 9/21 so the dog doesnt get freaked out while the workers are going to be at the house. At 9:40 am on 9/21 they call my wife to tell her they have to postpone until next week because of a supply issue. None of this was mentioned on 9/20. My wife (who is infinitely more patient compared to me & most people) was furious. She asked the woman on the phone to have her manager call . She also said, this has to happen this week. If it doesnt happen today, it needs to happen on Friday & Saturday due to the construction that we already postponed AND that if they couldnt do that, that we were not going to do the work at all and to pass that message on to one of the managers. Then the woman at the company tells my wife that this was being postponed because it took her so long to get her signed form to her. Basically, thats a flat out lie. We called them to confirm the appointment the night before and my wife had to send the form in twice. After the first time (electronically) they said they didnt get it so my wife tried to send it electronically a second time and it wouldnt work. Presumably because it went through the first time. She then printed it out, signed it the old fashioned way and sent it to them. Late afternoon 9/21 the company calls my wife. She is unable to answer. The VM is the same person, not a manager, stating that theyll have to do it next week. Even though she told them if they couldnt do it in the next couple days to cancel it. Then I call. I ask for a manager as soon as the woman answers. Im told theyre not there. We go back and forth on that and I find theyre never there because theyre in the field. The only time theyre in the office is after/before the office is open for customer facing hours. Which makes no sense. Also, the woman kept interrupting me when Im trying to talk. I had to ask multiple times to stop interrupting me. She then offers to give me someones email address, I told her I need to talk to them and I want their number. I then get a rude thats not going to happen. Then I start talking again and she interrupts me for the last time. Full disclosure-I lost it on her. Ive worked in customer service since 2004. If you dont let the customer (or someone who wants to be a customer and give you their money) speak, they will get frustrated especially if you keep cutting them off. It was at this point I lost my temper. I called her 2 very bad words and she hung up on me. I understand why she hung up on me. I would have done the same thing. I dont blame her for that. However, I would not have kept interrupting or kept making excuses like this woman continued to do with me and with my wife. Shes very unprofessional and dishonest. They may do good work. I dont know & thats on them.

Used Saloman for years at our former home in Beaverton. Hired him for some work at my office and he completely screwed me and my neighbour over. We were going to split the cost of the job. Saloman decided to double dip and collected from the neighbour and me and now wont return calls or texts. Well be pressing charges against him and collecting what he owes and then some. Do not hire.

These guys have been taking out weeds from my front & back yard for years and Im always left impressed with how thorough of a job they do. I have full confidence theyll do a great job every time.

We had a big ivy problem in our backyard. It was overgrown and out of control. Garcias removed every single inch of it. I was amazed not only at how well they removed the ivy and cleaned up the yard (pruning, and removing other debris) but how efficient and timely they were with it. The crew was friendly and even patient with my puppy who escaped from the house a couple of times. Definitely calling them again for future projects and maintenance.

It was absolutely awesome. The work done was top notch. Very clean and the owner is quite nice.

Pedro and his crew did such an amazing job on your 2 projects (and our property is not an easy task). We live on a hill and have multiple flower beds that needed cleaning and mulching. We also needed ivy cleanup. The work performed exceeded expectations. Pedro is very responsive during scheduling and communicating during completing the work. We will be using them again for our landscaping needs!

I called for an estimate. They cancelled at the last minute, due to an emergency. Thats no problem. Stuff happens. We rescheduled for a few days later. They never showed up or called. An hour and a half after the scheduled appointment I called their office. The office person said shed check into it and call right back. They never got back to me. This is no way to run a business in this day and age.

We are a 30 home neighborhood and hired Garcias out to clean up a huge amount of weeds and blackberry bushes that had accumulated for a decade. They finished in one day and came in under the estimate. They were professional and friendly. I highly recommend them and we have now contracted with them to come in 4 times a year for maintenance. Highly satisfied.

This place has an over inflated opinion of themselves. Said $650 to weed my backyard without even coming out to see it for a quote. Other quotes are around 180 just to give you an idea. Unreal the way the owner acted. And with such arrogance. 1 star.

I love Garcia landscaping. We moved into a new house 1.5 years ago and they did some work for me to clean up and put in sprinkler system. Then do maintenance a couple times a month. It always looks great. If I ever have anything I need I just ask and it is no problem. Rate for maintenance is excellent! Very happy with our experience. A+

I have been using Garcias Landscape and maintenance for almost 2 years for our small business. I had to contact many places before I found Pedro. He and his crew are always respectful and courteous about their cleaning an blowing off our driveway and parking lot. They stop what they are doing until our customers are out of the way. They clean (pick up debris and garbage) and maintain a fairly large lot and I find that their pricing is very affordable. If I need anything additional they are very accommodating too. I liked them so much that I started to use them for mowing my lawn at home. My husband couldnt be happier. He loves coming home to a clean yard and mowed lawn!!

Gacias Landscaping are great! They are dependable, affordable and experienced. When we first hired them it was to do a major yard clean up and pruning and now they come once a week to maintain the good work they did. We can be away for a couple of weeks and know that the yard is taken care of and the house looks lived in. Beauty and security! I highly recommend them.

The job that the crew has done trimming, mowing, etc. is the best weve ever had done in 30 years. They are extremely professional, reliable and very reasonable. We have never, never been disappointed with Garcias Landscape work. They do our annual spring/fall pruning, removing and/or moving plants, and clean-up. As far as we re concerned there are two types of landscapers: 1) They just do the awful, basic minimum: cut the lawn, do a little weeding, then hack-up your plants (bushes and trees) into looking like balls and/or squares, and do not know the first thing about the plants their working with, nor when is the proper time of year to plant, prune, etc. 2) Which is always our choice They know when and how to properly prune plants and how to make them look natural instead hacked-up. When we need recommendations: They have knowledge of what plants will do the best in different spots (different shade & sun areas) in our yard, courtyard, and patio areas. They go-the-extra-mile, no ordinary cleanup, for example: in our front yard our flower beds have football size river-rocks as borders the river-rocks were moved out of the flower bed, then they did all the weeding, and racking smooth the dirt, then replacing the boarder rocks. So instead of looking half done it looks fabulous! So if you want a so-so job call someone else. But if you want the job done right with an end results that looks fabulous and have happy, thriving plants call Pedro Garcia.

Pedro was so pleasant and responsive. He came out and gave me an estimate three days after initial contact in the high season for landscapers! His quote was very reasonable. He was able to assist me by getting/hauling the bark and fill dirt for me. The gentlemen who came to do the work arrived promptly and were personable and extremely efficient. They came on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend no less! My little yard (which hadnt been tended to in a few years) looks fantastic! I would highly recommend Garcias to anyone I know.

We highly recommend Pedro for landscaping work. We needed to reclaim a significant part of our backyard which was unusable due to poor drainage. In the first 5 minutes of looking at our yard, Pedro identified all the relevant issues and told us his plan to fix the situation. His accurate diagnosis gave us the confidence that he was the right person for the job. We felt he really listened to our ideas and wasnt shy of questioning our logic, thereby making sure he understood what we were asking. Once we had discussed and negotiated the contract, all we had to do was trust in his skills and experience. Pedro finished the job as per schedule in 4 days as promised, without a single glitch. At every stage, he emphasized how his goal is to make us happy, and we can gladly say that we are indeed!

We hired Pedro a couple years back to take care of the maintenance of our HOA common areas. Not only does the place look great, he and his team have been responsive to all of our needs and questions. When he say hes going to do something, he does it. We really appreciate the great service. Ive also hired him to aerate, dethatch, and overseed my own lawn, and we are very happy with the results.
