Alternative Earthcare in Bay Shore

I used Alternative Earthcare last season and was completely satisfied. This is the best my lawn has been in years. The service was great. Andy was very attentive to all my concerns.

I got say these guys are professional and theyre very knowledgeable and treated all my bushes and trees. No worries at all since Ive been using them. Carlos was the guy who treated my property and he was very kind and understanding and after talking with him. He knew exactly what was needed to treat my yard. The price for doing my yard was well worth it. Ive got alot of bushes & assorted trees. Great job guys!!!!

Alternative has been providing us with flea and tick spray..non toxic. We r so pleased with results. Last year we had not one tick bit while neighbors had many. It has to be this spraying.

I finally found the best sprinkler co to use, I had trouble with 2 zones not working n I didnt know where the box was under ground , it was supposed to be near the house which it wasnt, this co. came n was able to find the box with the wires n manifold , they fixed it n the system is like new again, I use them to start up n close sys down they adjust everything so everything is working the right way, they even give u a discount for prepaying, I also use them for putting down all the fertilizer throughout the summer season n my lawn never looked better, my lawn wood burn july n aug but since using this co. stayed green all summer lawn, i would highly recommended this co. they are so nice to work with.

Weve been using Alternative Earthcare for years to help keep grubs and similar bugs from destroying our lawns and other plants. Theyre reasonably priced, and the staff is responsive and helpful, and they let me know about scheduled sprays well in advance. The techs who come to spray are always friendly and courteous; they respect my property and my plants--weve never had an issue! I especially like that they use powerful sprayers that reach the tops of my high shrubs and trees, not backpack sprayers that only go a few feet. We plan on continuing to use Earthcare for many seasons to come!

Their pricing is pretty good from what I ve seen around the area for a more natural tick/mosquito spray. I say in quotes as there s always some sort of chemical but I appreciate that they don t use the harsher stuff that could affect animals!

I first started with Alternative Earthcare in August 2021. Andys crew is extremely thorough!! My lawn went from a weedy mess to mostly grass that season. In 2022 after a full season under their care, my lawn is weed free and thick. AE delivers on caring for your lawn!!! Ive tried several other companies and doing it myself. None of them come close to what AE did for my lawn. Thank you!!! Its now 2025 and Andy and his crew still take care of my lawn. When they come for service, besides the normal application, they check any trouble spots and treat them extra if necessary. I highly recommend Earthcare for all your lawn service needs.

You can find other companies that charge less, but if you want natural, plant-based alternatives to toxic chemicals you will be happy with Alternative Earthcare. Since we started using this company s services 2 years ago, we have seen no ticks, even though we live on a wooded lot, with herds of deer coming & going almost daily. And yet the products Alternative uses are safe for the birds & other small animals that also frequent our property.

DISAPPOINTED IN EVERY WAY WITH AEC! I SHOULD HAVE RUN AWAY AT FIRST CONTACT! My lawn has a WILD VIOLET weed problem, every year more and more are growing and seem to be spreading to different areas of the lawn. My gardener does not have the know how to control and stop this weed from growing. I went online to see what the experts have to say about WILD VIOLETS and how to get rid of them. They all seem to agree that this weed is very hard to get rid of! It seems only certain chemicals will work, and two applications must be put down in the fall and again in the springtime for it to be successful, they also stated that you made need to do this for as long as five years to completely rid the lawn of this stubborn weed. It was near the end of August 2024, fall was coming soon. I read the great reviews about AEC and read all the information on their website on how they come to your home, analyze and customize a program just for your lawn needs. Wow! This company sounds great, just what I need..... or so I thought, how WRONG I WAS! I called AEC and spoke to Howie, I told him my problems with my lawn and asked if he could send someone to take a look? Howie told me there is no need to send anyone, he can see my lawn using Google Satellite, and that all home owners get the same exact lawn applications. To start now and finish this season it would be $700.+ and a full 6 step program for the year is$1000.+ So what happened to what I read on their website? I said no thanks and hung up! Later I called another phone number to speak with the owner Greg Regan, he apologized for what Howie told me and said he would speak to him. I then get a call from another person at AEC, named Rob, he asked if he can come to see my lawn, I said okay. The next day when Rob came to my home he looked over my lawn. I told him my first priority was to rid my lawn of the WILD VIOLET WEEDS, next to have a full grass green lawn, I also told him what I read online . as to how to rid a lawn of WILD VIOLET WEEDS, Rob said not to worry, they have been in business for a long time, and will get rid of them and how he will do it, first he would put down a weed killer application in early September, next a week or so later they would aerate, over seed and fertilize and so on for the remainder of this year. if I pay cash I could save money, $272. for the rest of the lawn treatments for this year, $603 for the full seasonif I pay cash Rob also told me I needed Lantern Fly treatments, $275. if I pay cash Hmm? Seems this business likes to business in cash, I wonder why? Anyways, I said okay to both treatments and I paid them cash as they wished. Well the weed treatment NEVER happened, Rob calls me and says his boss makes up the schedules and I will get the aeration and over seed first, because of this we CANNOT put down weed treatments for at least 4 weeks, if they did it sooner it would kill the seeds. Then when the 4 weeks past, instead of weed killer, I get more fertilizer, spot seeding and lime. When I ask Rob what about the weed killer for the WILD VIOLET WEEDS, he said he never told me I would get a weed treatment in the fall, its in the spring when its put down and blames my gardener for the weed problem. So now Rob is saying I am hearing things or he is calling me a liar. If he told me he would put down weed killer only in the spring, I would NEVER have hired AEC to begin with! When they treated for Lantern Flies, the whole property was supposed to be sprayed, trees, bushes and grass, when they came they did not spray the grass at all. Theycame back the next week to do it all over, this time they sprayed the grass too. These kinds of problems Ive had with AEC, I do not need. I am a senior citizen with many handicaps, I have enough problems. I told Rob, this is it, no more! He tells me to show good faith, they will come out and give me a FREE weed killer treatment. Free? From what Rob told me from the start,, and I believed I was paying for was, a weed killer treatment! I told Rob, no thanks, I cannot trust a word you say to me. We are done!

We ve been using Alternative Earthcare for years and have never been disappointed. Not only is everyone in the office so helpful and responsive but we had Herbie spray our property and he went above and beyond! He was polite and attentive to detail. They definitely have a great crew there!

Howie from Alternative Earthcare is awesome. They provided a good price and did everything they said they would do. They treated our property and we were insect free the entire summer. I would give 10 stars if I could! Living on the East End in a heavily wooded area, we are inundated with ticks and have all suffered with tick borne diseases (pets included). I will only use organic materials and had tried another local tick control company. Unfortunately, their formula was not effective at all. I called and spoke to Andy, shared my concerns, and he understood exactly where I was coming from. I am not exaggerating when I say, we did not see one tick on ourselves or our dog last year! I cant recommend this company enough!

Alternave Earthcare has been covering our property for years, helping us out of a bad poisin ivy invasion and performing yearly spraying for fleas and ticks. After the poison ivy treatment, no further ivy has grown in that area. In all the years of ground treatments, trees and grass, in a yard where squirrels, racoons, deer, grounhogs and rabbits pass through all the time, I might pull one tick off our pets a year. The communication with them is always prompt and effective. I would not trust our pet s health related to pest control to any other company.

I am very concerned with the environment and they offer a safe product they does not kill beneficial insects but controls the ticks and mosquitoes which are a problem. Andy and team run a really professional service. They spray my yard with an organic spray that really worked to keep the mosquitos and ticks away. The first year I used them, I started a little late in the season, and it worked much better the following year when I started early in May and had them come and spray every few weeks through the summer to October. I was worried that the organic spray would not be sufficient, but very pleased that it is so I m not having to put chemicals all over the garden. I ll be using them again this year for sure!

The spray makes such a difference and we can actually enjoy our backyard in the summer without having to worry about mosquitos. They come when they say they will and have even adjusted the day/time of the spraying in order to meet our needs. We will continue to use them every year.

I just finished my second season with Alternative Earthcare (Gary). When I first started my lawn needed some help, Gary and his people provided it. This summer my lawn looked like it was sod. My front yard is all sun and my back is all shade, didnt make a difference, it looked like a show place front and back. Any questions or potential problems, a phone call got an immediate response. They notify you by email the day before they come, which is helpful, as once or twice it was going to conflict with the landscaper. A quick phone call to Gary No problem John, well come the next day if thats good for you? as simple as that. Great service, Great price ( when you consider the cost of the fertilizer, the time to get it, and the time to put it down).
