We were very happy with the work Sam did for us. A 10 foot evergreen had to be removed from a raised rock wall and a replacement put in. We were concerned if they would be able to get the big tree out without damaging the wall or the plants around it. No problem! They did a beautiful job! No damage to anything and were very careful about clean up. We would definitely use them again and recommend them!
Sam Hamilton and his crew did an excellent job repairing the water issue in our basement. They removed the former patio, regraded the back yard to slope away from the house, filled the window wells with gravel and topped with river rock. Then they replaced our old patio with a gorgeous new paver patio!! The communication is very good among the crew and from Sam himself. Also, they cleaned up well after the project was completed. I highly recommend Hamilton Landscape for all your outdoor needs!
It was a great pleasure to work with Hamilton Landscape. From the design phase to the instillation of 18 trees and several boulders everything went smoothly. The trees are of the best quality and look perfect. The crew did a great job with every detail covered. I look forward to working with Sam Hamilton again. I can not sing enough praises about Sam and his crew at Hamilton Landscaping. We purchased a house a couple of years ago, and it needed quite a bit of work. We first had Sam here in early spring removing multiple big pine trees that were damaged in ice storms. We wanted to replace them, and Sam was a great help suggesting trees. (We went with red maple and a lovely redbud.) Happy with that work, we hired Sam to replace our crumbling brick retaining walls, and add some rock and flowers to the front and sides of house. I was out of town, and I came home to boulder retaining walls. Lots and lots of boulders. Do you remember The Flintstones? I felt like I was in Bedrock. My husband loved it. I wasn't feeling it. I told Sam I wanted more "green"... I didn't want just stone. The following day Sam came out and planted creeping flox and some lilies at the top of the boulders and told me they would creep. Once it was warm and watered, and that flox bloomed, so did my love for Sam. I love my boulder walls! We poured some concrete sidewalks in the backyard (it was a muddy mess), and wanted to make the backyard more "warm and inviting" for entertaining. We called Sam and gave him a scribbled sketch of a basic idea of what we wanted. My husband wanted pavers for a fire pit area, and to fill the remaining area with rocks. (My husband has a serious rock problem. He may have been Barney Rubble in a previous life.) I wanted some mulch, some flowers, maybe some pavers... I wanted someplace we could put a swing, and it look colorful. My husband was open to some mulch, but didn't want it to touch the new concrete, and was open to some garden, but only wanted rocks near the sidewalks. Now despite Sam feeding my husband's weird boulder and rock addiction, I trusted him completely, as he really did listen to us when he did previous jobs. We handed him the sketch, let him know a ballpark budget, and trusted him. "Do your thing Sam... make it pretty... make the wife happy." And OMGosh did he! I saw the truck pull up with lime green grasses, lupine, lilies, coneflower, clematis and my jaw dropped. He sure knows my colors! I had to go out, (which meant not micromanaging this project), and let the guys do their thing. I came home to my little garden spot of paradise, and my husband's fire pit spot pavered, and I'm over the moon. Not only was everything beautiful, but little details were done. Like cutting the pavers to make them fit our septic cover. And making sure any lawn that was disturbed was fixed, reseeded, etc. But the most impressive thing was he took a sketch, and designed us exactly what we wanted. Even better than we wanted. I know this was wordy - I'm a wordy person... but if I could give 10 stars I would. Sometimes we have to wait for Sam to finish other jobs to get to us... but it's ALWAYS worth the wait. He's fast, reasonable, and he listens. I'm really gushing over this backyard. We'll be out there all summer. Thanks Sam and crew!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the work Sam and his team did in our backyard and pool area. When Sam came out to do our estimate, I gave him a super vague idea of what I thought I wanted and told him to run with it. I'm glad I did, because they knocked it out of the park! From choosing the flowers/grasses/plants, to the design of the walkway and firepit, to creating lines that just flow with everything, it was spot on! Sam took all the guesswork and decision making out of the process for me; put your trust in his work and expertise and you will not be disappointed! Also, let's talk about how hard his team works! Our work was done in the height of the summer, so the days were long and hot. That didn't stop these guys; they were here as the sun came up and worked non-stop. Great customer service and professionalism, as well. HIGHLY recommend Hamilton Landscape Supply & Nursery!!
After a lengthy delay brought on by Covid 19, Sam and his crew finally got to our project in May of 2021. It was well worth the wait! The project involved replacing an ugly and ineffective retaining structure with a set of carefully selected and positioned boulders. Sam also designed and installed a new rock garden along the back of our house and bordered it with a new "stepping stone" walkway by embedding large flagstones into a bed of drywell stone. He also created an effective transition between the rock garden and what was left of our existing flower beds by mixing textures and colors of landscaping materials. He brought new life to our old and forlorn flower "bed" by freshening it up with new mulch. In short, he made the old "make more sense" by blending it artistically with the new. I appreciated the hard work and professionalism of the entire crew. They knocked out the project in one full day and were careful to clean up well after a very "messy" process. I appreciated Sam's patience with clients who didn't have a distinct idea of what they wanted the project to look like. He seemed comfortable with designing a bit "on the fly" while staying within the budget. In the absence of a architectural rendering of a finished project, Sam showed a lot of patience and flexibility, offering us advice and providing us with options throughout the process. I recommend Hamilton Landscape without reservation.

Called this place last week to see if they had mulch. They had what I was looking for, but when I got there an hour later (and approximately an hour before they were supposed to close) there was no one there, and a sign on the door that said Bobcat broke, see yall tomorrow. Essentially a wasted hour long trip for me. Would have been nice to get a call back, or maybe they should consider having an alternate means of loading, rather than abandoning the business.

We had these folks do a major steep hillside job involving Boulder retaining walls and terraces with steps and sea wall repair. What a task and what a great crew. Worked super well, left things looking sharp and wonderful. I ll add some pics later. I am a happy camper, money well-spent!

The owner of the company is very customer service driven and is as accommodating as possible. Prices for material, delivery, and labor are very fair. All staff I had contact with, from the main office employee, to the office manager, to the delivery driver, to the owner were all polite, courteous, and helpful. I used this company for a longer than average gravel driveway. The workmanship and attention to detail was impeccable. As an example, I had performed a large part of the prep work for the driveway which included the use of a tracked skid steer. In the process of prepping the drive, I deeply gouged several large sections of my lawn that outline the drive. Big chunks of sod had been uprooted and twisted by the tracks. Hamilton saw the damage I had caused and simply fixed all those areas, including replacing the sod where it was supposed to be as well as raked over the dirt to smooth it out where the sod was too damaged to replace. This made my driveway look much better, all without an upsell or charge. They simply saw a problem, and fixed it just so I would have a beautifully finished product. You just dont see that very often from contractors that are drowing in work and can pick and choose who they want to take orders from. My experience with Hamilton Landscaping was the best that it could be and I was happy with every aspect of my project that they were involved in. Contractor experiences obviously vary but I feel confident in saying that if its within this companies ability to help you and to give you every pennys worth of what you spent in both service and quality, Hamilton Landscaping is the one.
Hamilton Landscaping did a wonderful job fixing a drainage problem in front of our house and designed and installed new landscaping for us. They took an overgrown, outdated area and made it look open, fresh and beautiful. The price was very reasonable. I cant wait to see all the new flowers and bushes start to bloom. I highly recommend Hamilton Landscaping.

We chose to get a bid from Hamilton Landscape because of a donation the company made in honor of a family member at a community school, that right there says a lot about Hamilton! Sam came out end of fall and listened to our wants and needs and we put our heads together to come up with a plan that was what we wanted, needed, and fit our budget. Our yard has far exceeded our expectations! The living retainer wall looks awesome and will continue to grow, the soil added to our garden will pay for itself after a couple of fall harvests, the rock border added a touch of definition, and the mulch added to our flower beds made the project pop! The team worked hard to get the job done quick and they cleaned up after themselves. Landscaping is messy and we got your typical April Snow during their time here so mud was everywhere! Thankfully they knew the duty at hand and took lots of care to make sure our walkways and driveway were swept up before calling the project finished. Sam was also a very hands on part of this process jumping in and giving the guys help when they needed it. Excellent team, awesome boss, hands down would recommend.

We paid for 10 yards of dirt on the Thursday before Memorial Day and they couldnt deliver until Saturday Memorial weekend. At 10:30 am Saturday we called to get a time of delivery because we had plans that day. My husband was told by a woman that left a voicemail that the business day was not done yet and drivers would not go home until all deliveries were made. At 7:10 pm on Saturday they still had not delivered the dirt and no one called to say they would not be delivering. We missed out on our Saturday plans and were not able to do the yard work we planned to do over Memorial weekend because we had no dirt. We will NOT be using Hamiltons again.

Hamilton Landscaping is beyond an amazing company! In 2016, Early On, an educational program bought an hydrangea tree in honor of my daughter (who passed away during the program). Sam came out and planted the beautiful little tree in my front yard. We no longer called it an hydrangea tree, but an Jayden Rose tree. Jayden Rose is the name of my angel in heaven. As the years passed, and the tree grew, it brought peace to my heart that my baby girl was growing in heaven. Recently, we sold the house that we were living in, I called Sam and asked if he would move the Jayden tree (to new location). Not only was he willing to move her tree, but he refused to be paid for it!!! Sam is a very caring person! Im so thankful for my hydrangea/Jayden tree and Hamilton Landscaping! This company is a blessing! I am so thankful to Sam! I wouldnt go to any other company or recommend any other company, but Hamilton Landscaping! The kindness, caring, and honesty is a blessing! My mother (in her eighties) ordered stone to put along her sidewalk. She ended up with more stone than she needed. Sam Hamilton graciously sent out a crew to load up the excess and haul it a way. Taking care of a senior customer earns him a five star. He is a man of his word and I would recommend Hamilton Landscape to people looking for a landscaper with integrity.
Sam and his crew landscaped around our whole house. In 2 days they constructed several fieldstone walls and river rock beds all the way around. The crew worked through the rain to get the job done in a timely manner. Everything turned out amazing and couldn t be happier with the service and price. I will be calling Hamilton s for our phase 2 of landscaping next spring.

Had Sam and his crew remove a old block retaining wall that was failing and replaced it with a boulder wall, They did a great job and offered suggestions that would make the job even better than what I had expected. We were very disappointed with the small driveway job we hired Sam to do. We wanted gravel dropped and spread in a twenty foot patch. Instead, he brought muddy brown dirt with large rocks in it. Instead of spreading it at all, he left it in five berms of sludge. Impassable for delivery people to reach us. So we had to hire another contractor to fix the mess and it was $225 to Sam wasted, We have tried to reach them for a refund, but they have not returned our five phone calls.
I called Sam regarding the need for a unique memorial idea following the loss of a family member. Not only did he offer the perfect idea but he managed to pull off the outrageous task of having a Cairn custom made by his Stone Builder, and although never dreaming of having it in time for the funeral two days later...he did it! Sam and the Stone Builder personally delivered and set it up during the funeral to be discovered by the family at the perfect time after arriving home. Amazing! There truly are no words to express my gratitude for the genuine kindness and customer service that blessed my family in such a special way!! Thank you, again Sam!!!

We couldn t be happier. We presented a vague idea of what we wanted and Sam immediately had it figured out. We had makeshift steps from patio blocks replaced with 4 concrete steps ( so nice), huge rocks brought in to create a retaining wall and stoned the area and replanted my plants. It will be zero maintenance - just what we wanted. He was easy to work with, helped us make decisions and we would highly recommend him and his crew! Very happy with the results and he even did a few extra things we hadn t talked about to tie it all together. He s your guy!

That outdoor job youve been pushing off, the driveway you needed fixed or that swampland that need filled this is the company that can do just that. Affordable prices, when you talk to the owner you get that feeling your best interests and wallet is protected. I have had a few jobs done with excellent results. I recently am having a big project done and the owner suggested other alternatives that were the same result but cheaper. If you are ready to get that landscaping done, if you do not call Hamilton your cheating yourself.

First off, I didn t purchase and service from Hamilton landscape supply. However, I was working in my yard with a bobcat I rented to level some ground for a shed and I happen to get it stuck. Hamilton landscape supply happen to be driving by and noticed we were stuck. The owner came right over and and offered to help pull us out. After they pulled us out they used their bobcat and leveled the land I needed while they waited for a dump truck to arrive to finish the job they were working on. Companies like this that help others even when there isn t a paycheck involved will always have my business. If I need anything done. I ll be going to them from now on! What a great owner.
