Abbott Tree Care Professionals in Bartlett

We had three trees and a large tree limb to be cut down and hauled away. Abbott did a great job. They even had Julie Service come out and mark for under ground utilities to be safe.

Abbott Tree Care Professionals sent certified Arborist Ralph Sieber to evaluate my request to estimate the costs to cut down our large Sycamore tree on our front yard. Without going into the details, I commend Mr. Siebers expertise, professionalism and integrity in dealing with this touchy situation.

This company was great to work with my tree removal! They were very professional, polite and did a fantastic job of cleaning up afterwards. Mike Abbotts company will be my go to choice for tree care, firewood/mulch and landscaping in the future.

We ve used Abbott for several things over the past ten years. We continue to go back to them even after getting estimates from other companies. They removed a big river birch next to our house today, and the crew did an outstanding job. I don t know how they maneuvered the branches without falling on the roof, but they did, and the cleanup afterwards was top notch. Great company to work with.

We had a very large tree that needed to come down and it was in a tough spot. Abbotts team was highly skilled and got the tree down and cleared away much more quickly than I thought possible. They did a great job of protecting our lawn and other trees and plants while working. They also trimmed up other trees on our property. Everything looks great! Highly recommended.

Ralph came out to cut up and remove a large limb that came down from one of the cottonwoods alongside our deck. He also gave us an estimate to trim some additional branches overhanging our garage. He was quick, courteous and gave us a very fair quote for the work to be done and a reasonable timeframe for scheduling the job. We have worked with Abbott twice before & look forward to having these true professionals come out again to help us with our tree needs.

Had Abbott come & do my Juniper tree & bushes-- I had many surgeries over the past few years & wasnt able to take care of my yard myself anymore-- my small (townhouse) yard looked like Rocky Horror Picture Show plants, slowly creeping into the house-- the young guys that did the work were great!!! horrible agressive driver by abbott tree company on south bartlett road. sped around me when the two lanes turn into one lane by the bartlett library and it was already closed down to one lane. he squeezed through with no room and almost ran me into oncoming traffic while i was carefully driving my boyfriends car but not even going slow. i had to slow down and go left where the oncoming traffic was coming because there wasnt enough room for two cars side by side. i was going the speed limit and we were in a neighborhood area. after dangerously cutting me off, he was slowed down anyway because there was another car going the speed limit. he then was following them so closely trying to make them go faster like he had done to me turning from stearns onto south bartlett. i had turned fast on purpose because he was speeding like crazy up to me and getting right on my tail when i wasnt even going slow. now instead of driving smoothly like i was before im constantly having to break because hes annoyingly tailgating the car that was in front of me and is now in front of him. and i was giving distance too because i knew he was driving like crazy but thats what happens when youre speeding behind a car going the speed limit- and hes not making the other car go any faster by doing that, just making it more likely for an accident to happen for all three of us. the driver turned left into a neighborhood off of south bartlett road just a bit before devon avenue. its ridiculous to drive so carelessly and dangerously when youre driving a COMPANY VEHICLE!! you clearly dont care much about your companys reputation!

Abbott Tree Care did an amazing job on or front yard. The four man crew that came out were all courteous and professional. The entire process was easy, and the yard was spotless when they left. I highly recommend Abbott Tree Care.

In April, Abbott removed two 50 year old trees from our property; one in the front yard and one in the backyard. Their team, lead by expert tree trimmer, Erik, completed a remarkable and amazing job. Their professionalism, quality, speed, and expertise is unmatched. At just the right time, a crane arrived with a 90 boom to assist in lifting Erik to the top of the tree in the backyard, and was used to remove the branches as they were cut. All the equipment they needed was on-hand, and the clean-up was done as quickly as the branches were brought down. The entire job was done with the precision of a surgical team and everyone knew their roll. Then in May, Abbott returned to trim our crabapple in the front yard after it had flowered and it looks so nice and clean. From Ralph, who provided our estimate, the entire crew, owners, and staff in the office, everyone is so personable and easy to work with. We would highly recommend Abbott without hesitation.

I had a couple trees that required some attention and the Abbott team did a great job taking care of the work. Our initial visit from Ralph led to us identifying a split that was a major risk. He had the tree strapped immediately due to incoming storms. The follow up work was led by Eric and team and they completed the job on time, and did quality work. Eric explained the work in advance and was a pleasure to work with. My trees look great and are now safe from splitting.

Abbott gave us a good price to remove a dying apple tree from the back corner of our fenced in yard. The area was full of flowers and shrubs making access difficult they removed the tree today, took special care around other vegetation, cleaned up very well. We are 100% please with their service.

Certified arborist came out to give a quote for branch removal, trimming of all trees on the property, and an insecticide treatment of my ash trees. The price was fair for the amount of work that needed to be completed. Sue in the office is a top notch representative for this business! The three man crew was very friendly and efficient. The trees were taken care of to my expectations. I would absolutely use them again for all my future tree care needs!

We have been extremely pleased with the service and the personnel, from Susan in the office, the field workers (Luis) , and Ralph the arborist. Today I noticed a broken limb high in the tree and called Ralph. He was in the area and stopped by and quickly removed the limb. You will not find a better tree service company.

Weve had Abbott Tree Care out a few times to our home in Sugar Grove for landscaping and tree care. It was important to us to have a fully licensed and insured company for a tree removal right next to our home. Jake has been very knowledgeable and friendly, with all kinds of suggestions for keeping our trees and plants healthy. Theyve also assisted with pruning a large tree in front of our house, as the work needed to be done by a certified arborist because the tree was in an easement. Overall, weve been very pleased with the services Abbott Tree has done for us, and I feel its been a good value for the quality of work performed.

The entire process of having our two large silver maple trees pruned/maintained was great! Jake came by, looked at our trees and gave us a very reasonable quote within minutes of assessing the trees. Jesus crew came out about a week later. I was very impressed with how well they cleaned up all the fallen twigs and branches, and I especially appreciated how they took extra measures to salvage my grass by placing planks under the trucks tires and then driving it onto my lawn. The crew was cleaned up and gone in no time, and most importantly, our maple trees look great. I would absolutely recommend Abbott to anyone without hesitation.

Honesty! Ralph Sieber (Arborist) informed me that Norway Spruce do not require fungicide spray treatment. Two other companies over past decades have billed me for service that was not required! Abbot Tree Care Professionals moves to top of list for future work from me.

Scheduled a consultation for the potential removal of 2 trees. Abbott sent Ralph out whom was a pleasure to speak with. He walked me thru the types of trees I have and the pros and cons of removing/keeping each. Did not feel any pressure throughout our conversation, it was evident he was not trying to push a sale and instead truly was there to educate. Will be reaching out again for future trimmings, removals, etc.

We fired Abbott years ago due to the poor quality of their work. Our neighbor still uses them which has caused US problems. Today at 7:15 am their crew was blowing cottonwood seeds in their back yard. God created the seeds, no argument there. However, due to the breeze, the huge dirt cloud....dust and dirt from dry ground.....no rain for 8 weeks......drifted into our yard and onto our house. Instead of noticing, and perhaps finding a better way, they kept at it. I went out and stood in the cloud to be sure of what it was.......DIRT !!!!!........now all over our house, patio, windows, grass......a nice covering of dust and dirt. I left Abbott a message at 8:15 AM..........no response. Nice job Abbott......NOT.

I can finally use my patio again!!! My Poplar tree was loaded with aphids. Abbott Tree came out, made an effective recommendation to mitigate the problem and arranged for my tree to be sprayed. We have used Abbott on several occasions. They are professional, efficient and pleasant. We had Dave and his crew out today. They were excellent.

Three large Abbott trucks completely blocked the entrance to our subdivision. Not only could cars not pass but emergency vehicles, if needed, or school buses were blocked as well. I got out of my vehicle and spoke with a few of the guys & asked who parked their truck blocking traffic. One of them stated it was him but refused to move his truck. He told me to tell the owner of the truck across from him to move his truck instead. What rude & disrespectful workers. They feel they have the right to come into our subdivision and block access to our private roads. There were 3 large Abbott trucks with equipment (trailers, etc.) parked on our street. These workers felt entitled to do as they please and fail to even correct the situation when asked. Abbotts workers apparently must feel entitled and/or totally uncaring about others. I d think twice before having them do any work.

Ralph at Abbott Tree Care is a Master Arborist. After meeting with 3 other local tree companies, Ralph was the only one who was able to correctly diagnose and care for our sick Shagbark Hickory. He is not paid on commission, so he will earnestly try and save your tree because he LOVES trees! There is no incentive for Abbott to recommend cutting down your tree, unless it is a liability and absolutely necessary. Abbott really cares about trees! I wouldnt call anyone else but Abbott.

Abbott is absolutely the best! They did a fantastic job and were very professional, helpful and fun to work with. Even my neighbor was impressed at the quality of their work and at how nicely they cleaned up when done. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who truly cares about their trees.

Ralph addressed all our questions and concerns during the free quote with no pressure to sign up. The crew arrived on time and trimmed the our tree safely. We had several concerning branches over our house and neighbors yard but they safely removed all limbs with out damage to the house/property and they left the yard cleaner than when they arrived.

These guys are the real deal. Had a small tree removed. It took them 8 minutes. Grinding out the stump in a couple of days because they were courteous enough to advise that their equipment would leave ruts. Dave and his team were great to work with!

Experience with Abbot Tree was excellent. Service and crew were courteous and skilled in taking a large dead oak from the center of my deck when all other companies did not want to touch due to the complexity of the job. OMG! I couldnt have had a better experience. My yard looks better than it did when they arrived. Daves team did impressive work trimming 4 trees. They cleaned up not only ALL the cut branches but also blew off my deck and what they initially moved, returned to the proper place. I highly recommend Abbott Tree Care.

Abbott Tree Care came out in a timely manner to assess the health of a tree that was damaged by a malicious pruning. They also came to court to testify. I will be using them in the future to maintain the health of my damaged tree.

Abbott Tree Care is just that - they care about the finished product. The Owner came out and provided a detailed quote for trimming and removing several trees on our property. He also gave recommendations do treating several trees that were in stress do to construction nearby. He never once tried to hustle us for additional services. His crew of 6 men spent a full day removing dead fall and several dead trees. They pruned all the remaining trees and did a complete cleanup of our yard, leaving it spotless. I could not be more pleased with their services and the crews professionalism. Highly recommend calling them 1st!

Overall not a good experience! Unprofessional, unfriendly, destroyed my garden lights without saying a word. Had to come out twice as they forgot to call JULIE the first time to do the grinding. Watch the pay now via credit card option as they also tagged a credit card processing fee at the end without showing it on the total amount only listed in small writing on the invoice. Hope that helps someone.

The men did a great job. But I wanted tree trimmed all the way up. I asked the man that came out to give me an estimate. I asked him if they needed a truck with a boom. He said they can do it with out. Obviously they need it. I could have done what they did

Weve used Abbott twice now in the last two years and I have been really pleased and impressed with their work and personnel. We have huge, old oak trees that shade the entirety of our yard and make it difficult for grass to grow which drives me nuts. When I asked Ralph, the certified arborist, how much it would be to remove them, he refused! The trees were healthy and he took the time to explain that trimming them later this year, and removing some other dying trees and sprouts, would achieve my goals of more sunlight without killing 200-400+ year old trees. I was impressed with his understanding of, and commitment to, what he thought was right rather than just taking what would have been a huge paying job. The work has been great, the price was fair and Im glad to know that Im working with a company that is every bit as concerned with doing what they think is right as they are with the bottom line.

Horrible place , called about getting service And Ralph the guy that came made a racist comment about using another company that hires Hispanics instead of using them , and that was not the word he used . Very gross attitude . Very hurt this type of activity still happens in todays age .

I had a tree in my yard that needed immediate removal, and after making multiple calls I decided to hire Abbott tree care professionals. A crane needed to be utilized in the removal of my tree, the two Formans on site made sure to take every safety precaution. The team was friendly, practiced safety, worked in a timely manner, and all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommended using this company. I will be using them for all of my future needs.

Lightning struck my 75 tree tree and it landed on my house so after calling a few tree services Abbott came out very promptly with a large Crew to remove my tree professionally. Thank You very much Positive

I really liked the gentleman who came out to give an estimate, and the people answering the phone where friendly enough, but responsiveness was a problem here. No one called after the estimate to schedule the service. I then called three times to get on their schedule. Finally, there were three possible dates they thought they might come out for the service, and it seemed that they finally settled on a specific morning to come out for the job, but I received a call at lunch time that two of their employees called in sick. Im sure they knew before lunch time that their employees called in. Im going to go with another company as I feel I wasted a lot of time calling for service and waiting around on the supposed day of service for nothing.

Had an issue in the spring of 2021 with a tree that turned out not to be the one we ordered, but was only identified a few months after the tree was already planted in our yard. We identified this to Abbott in the summer of 2021, and was told to wait until the spring of 2022 to see if the tree improved or just needed a year to adjust to the yard. We looked over the fact that a couple other trees were planted too high in the ground, we had to have them come back a second time to remove more of a tree stump that was half left in the ground, and it later turned out that they left a second stump half in the ground as well. So overall, a very sloppy job. Reached out again in the spring of 2022 to get the tree replaced (because it was still the wrong tree), and was told to wait until the fall because the weather was too warm for planting. It has been a month now, and all we get are assurances that we are on the list and the tree is coming, etc, etc, etc. Emails and voicemails go unanswered, phone call responses are promised but never materialize. If the issue was identified over a year and half ago, it is concerning why we werent #1 on the fall planting list. So now a bad review and a BBB complaint have been posted. Our whole HOA will know soon about our experience. We paid nearly $1K for the tree in question and $5K overall for the work performed in 2021. We understand that businesses get busy, but ignoring emails or calls with direct questions or request for updates does not instill a lot of confidence in the business. Safe to say we moved on to another landscaper, and spent over $10K this year in work, with another $10K to be planted in 2023. All of this could have been avoided with a simple call back or a refund.

Cant say enough about the Abbott team. I have used them for both commercial and residential tree removal and they have always been on time and on budget and left the site better than they found it.

Abbott Tree Care professionals were 100% able to trim two trees on my property. One over my skylights and roof and they removed it without the use of a crane. All manual. Wow! The second one was over my chicken coop and near a fence. They are true professionals (darn near magicians) and got that big limb removed.

We are completely disappointed is the work that they did for us. It took over a month for them to show up and when they finally came the work was not completed as quoted. When we called, John, to have someone come out to look at the work, nobody showed up. Now the grass seed the put down is growing and its nothing but crab grass. Very very very disappointed and would definitely NOT recommend their services.

Most importantly, the work that was done was a bit more than what was described and expected, and I feel that I was charged a fair price. I will definitely consider using Abbott again and would give a good recommendation. One negative comment -- we received our quote on early June. A general window for service was given and I was told that I would receive a call when our service would take place. The workers showed up with no warning on a Friday that I was off work and had plans to take my child out for the afternoon. We had to scrap our plans as the workers arrived and were blocking us from getting out of our garage (in fairness I did not ask them to move but I also did not want to leave my house while work was being performed). I did call the office to register the complaint and I have heard nothing back from them aside from the invoice via email. Also, Abbott acquired another landscaping company, so the trucks that showed up did not have the name I expected. With the appropriate amount of communication beforehand, I would have rated them 5 stars.

We had an upcoming job that we luckily got our permit passed early and Abbott tree care was able to squeeze us into their schedule early. They are Very flexible and accommodates professionally. Love the work they do and will continue to use them into the future.

My large dead pine tree, along with other dead tree branches, was gone before I had even gotten home from work on my lunch break. The whole process was quick and painless. We called Abbott tree care professionals after a snowstrom knocked down two big branches off of our pear tree. They came out two days later from when we called them. In addition, they arrived to our house unannounced and did not bother to ring the doorbell and sat in their car. They drove away without looking in the backyard where the tree was. They did not contact us in anyway to inform us they were coming, that they were here or that they were leaving. We are stuck with these branches in our backyard because they did nothing for us. We also wanted to know if the tree was sturdy enough but they did not even look at the right tree. Therefore we have to call other people in order to make sure that the tree is okay. This is terrible custom service and I would not recommend them .
