The Lawn Care professionals, Wes and Tom did a wonderful job and were pleasant and efficient. Thanks Lawn Starter for the good men. My lawn is pretty. I would not use them. If your lawn is too high when they come to look, they won t even tell you. They ll keep you in limbo then when you call, they will say they need to charge you an additional fee bc the lawn is high. Meanwhile an additional week has gone by and the lawn is steadily growing every day. SMH

I ve had mostly great providers from the service. I have had the occasional bad one, but for the lost part, these guys are a life saver when you re super busy.

They have been mowing my lawn for five seasons now. They always do a great job and the yard always looks beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone.

The workers were great, the company discontinued service to me claiming they no longer had personnel to perform my lawn service. They waited a month without service to notify me on Gmail , Left grass cuttings all over sidewalks and steps, destroyed plant next to top steps.

LawnStarter has turned out to be a great service this is the third time they have cut my lawn they have up their game to a very satisfying job well done. Yobani has done a lovely job on my property.

2022-03-18 - This is my 2nd year using LawnStarters services. I have been very happy with their work. If/When there is an inability to show up for an appointment I have been notified ahead of time AND re-scheduled at the same time. I am on a fixed income and LawnStarters charges are very helpful to my ability to stay within my budget. I appreciate their existence and wish them all the best.

Ive been using my local LawnStarter team for about 2 years now. They have worked around my schedule when I was out of town, been super prompt, and always leave the yard looking great!

William did a fantastic job with my lawn. Would definitely recommend him as your lawn care provider!

Ive used this service only twice, and thus far, I am very pleased with their work. Their whole set up of communicating with the customers via email and text has made everything run smoothly. After expressing your desired service/services, they come in, get the job done and leave.

They never showed up and changed me anyways, multiple times. It took them several days to figure out that the crew had a completely different route. They have a 3 mow minimum so even if you have a terrible (or non-existent) first mow youll still be locked in with them for 2 more mows.

Third party contractor slid into my fence damaging it. Lawnstarter takes a 0 liability stance on any damages that occur on contractors they send to your home. In addition, they quote process and what you agreed to when you sign up stance. I requested that they extend the 30 day claim process to account for the workforce reduction of my preferred company to fix this issue. Unwilling to work with customers on a reasonable request because it will be hard.

They keep in touch with you and let you know with at least 48 hours notice. They clean up nicely and they are so quick and efficient. My lawn never looked better. Highly recommend!

I signed up for the service and was given an estimated date within a three day time frame. The company never showed up and NOT ONE TIME DID THEY RESPOND. I sent them emails, I sent messages through the app to no avail. So finally on the 6th day with no reply, I called them again, and someone finally answered and I cancelled my account. You came highly recommended on Nextdoor however I now know that is a standard promotion message pre written by the company. I m very disappointed. I still have not heard anything from them in regards to my lack of service.

David did a great job mowing and edging. He did not rush through but took his time. I need my lawn cut short because of skin and respiratory allergies. I spend a good deal of time outside working in my garden and keeping the grass short is very important. David listened to my request. His trimming and edging were neat and tidy. Cleanup was also great. You can tell David takes pride in his work.

Not reliable or consistent in cutting my grass. Never showed up to do my lawn.

I can trust my lawn to this man and his crew. He listens to what I want and ensures my lawn gets what it needs.

Last year things were great. This year not so much. Ive been waiting WEEKS for them to mow my lawn with them claiming they did and its clear they did not...with 9+ inch grass at this point. Beware this service...

Please read the other comments regarding this company. I scheduled a service, received a confirmation and the team never showed up. The only timely response I received was an alleged system error on why they did not communicate a delay or reschedule. After reading the other comments on google I immediately cancelled. Beware!!

This is the second time Im getting my grass cut & just like the first visit, I came home & my front & back lawn was looking tidy & perfectly groomed. I love that theres no need for questions. I get a reminder two days prior to their visit & on the designated day, my lawn is done & Im a satisfied, happy customer.

MY YARD IS EMBARASSING they gave me a complete run around. My appointment kept getting rescheduled. Called multiple times they have no way of reaching contractors by phone they cant tell you estimated time they will arrive or verify contractors will show. No penalities when contractors dont call or show. Unprofessional Now I have to find another company and pay possible double bc the time I wasted waiting on Lawn Starter my grass is ridiculous. They cost me time & money!

after rescheduling me 4 times already this week they still have failed to showed for the appointed day they set. they dont even let you know that they arent going to make it. and beware the previous 2 cuts they have charged me much more than expected. Im still confused how a lawn cut only could be more the $90. this company should be ashamed of how they have treated me. i really regret having to give 1 star, they have not even earned that.

When I initially started using lawnStarter service it was a rocky at start. LawnStarter helped with any issues and soon found a resolution. Fast forward.... love my lawn crew! and have been using them for 2 years and have not been disappointed.

Have had mixed quality in service. One lawnmower was the absolute worse experience I ve ever had. Others have been ok and a couple have been good. They keep changing my provider; the lack of consistency is probably the main problem.

Was switched to Melford and he sent texts of being there one day but showed up 5 and 6 days later. The grass was so long that when he did cut it, it had grass ridges in it and long grass from the weed wacker he used, laid down in my yard was not cut. It did not rain several of those days and he likes to make his own sked. When the holiday comes and my grass is 10 and 12 inches long, we have a problem.

Do not use this service. If they damage your property they will only give you a credit which does not account for the time and energy put into creating your space.

DO NOT USE LAWNSTARTER. Mowers left piles of old grass at my property. Broke into the property with no effort to get in contact with me. Almost impossible to get in contact with the company, Finally got in contact and was told the mowers would finish the job. The next day I get a notification saying the grass has been picked up, But to no surprise at all NOBODY CAME. TERRIBLE COMPANY.

It is basically a scam. Watch out.

After arranging lawn service with LawnStarter and receiving a confirmation for of a service date, I received a follow-up email on the scheduled service date letting me know that they would not be able to service my lawn indefinitely. This came AFTER I provided payment information. I understand demand for services can be high, but waiting until the day of scheduled service to terminate my service because of the demand is upsetting.

LawnStarter is a very irresponsible company. After I waited for service for several days they canceled and didn t call me or email me to let me know. Then went I contact them, they emailed me back that there was a high demand in area, and they could not make it, well if they knew that why they didn t let me know in advance. BEWARE! Lawnstarter is a scam site!! They called took my credit card information and never showed to provide service and theres now way to get back in touch with them sat on hold for 2 hours and no one ever answered then entered my information for a call back and never received one. Also the site was set up in 2021. Do not give them your information!!

They do an amazing job at mowing! So thankful for the wonderful job they do!

Their service went downhill at the end of the first year. This year theyve mowed once, but they havent shown up since.

I have been trying to get them to come out since May 1st service got pushed back a week then another week I guess this is how they get out of the $19 promo they are running never again will I be using them!

Wanted me to commit to a minimum of three cuts was not a problem after second cut can no longer provide service to me. Provider states he was to busy to continue. If I have to commit to a minimum amount of cuts why can t they keep up with their part of the deal.

Honestly im hoping that Lawn starter will contact me to resolve an issue because i have called numerous times and received one call back that i did miss but when i called back and left a message to call again they have yet to call me back. I tried to email them and it just gives me an error message. All i need is my email to be corrected so i can access my account. But since i am unable to reach an actual person its very difficult. Even now i have been on hold for over an hour trying to get with someone. The company that mowed my lawn was great though. I would give them 5 starts but thats impossible since i cant access my account. So please can someone from Lawn starter fix my account or hire a sales rep or even hire me part time to take calls. Like please. i also tried resetting my password through the website but received no email because i believe the email is wrong. I also attached the screenshot of my wait time. Update: after finding an email, to someone who claimed to be the owner of the company, I ended up emailing them telling them what happened. 2 days later they fixed my issue. It took almost a month to figure out that the original person put my email in wrong. I do not use them anymore because I feel as though if I had a big issue it would not be resolved in a timely manner. Everyone is nice, they cut my lawn great. I change the rate from 1 to 3.

Able to get any one to get out here and mow our lawn for the 2nd week. I called and I was told she would try to get a mower that afternoon or the next day. Mower never showed. I cancelled contract and I now have a independent mower who is fantastic. I was lucky a neighbor, Norma, told me about him. Its great to have helpful, kind neighbors.

I am a customer of theirs and haven t gotten service in over a month. They promised to come out every week for a little over a month now and absolutely nothing. But. They want me to keep rating their customer service experiences I ve had. That can t seem to do anything at the moment. I would never suggest this company to anyone.

I tried to get lawn services from them and had 2 separate teams not only not show up, but the first team fraudulently marked the job as complete after not showing up and the second team claimed they couldnt mow because of pets in the yard as an excuse when in reality a team never actually even came out. Customer service was of no help, offering to give me a whopping 10 dollars and wouldnt be able to reschedule a team for 48 hours. Do not use this service, it is a scam.

TERRIBLE!!! Started using this company so I didn t have to cut my lawn anymore. My house sits on less then a quarter acre took me usually an hour to cut the front and back. They came out twice and it wasn t perfect but was fine but they never were on time. When it came for the third cut they never showed claiming they had issues with their mowers and rescheduled. When they were supposed to come back out I asked if it had been done because I was at work. They told me the lawn was cut and done. I arrive home and in fact it was never cut. I called and complained explaining they lied and now have missed cutting my grass for 3 weeks. They apologized and rescheduled again. Not to my suprise I was promised the lawn would be cut at the latest today, arrived home and the lawn was never cut. Never a call or a text explaining they just don t show up and then lie saying it s done until you see with your own eyes it is not. I really liked these guys because they were quick efficient and had a 10$ lower price then the other companies. Other companies informed me that this company is known for not showing up despite taking the payment and then making up excuses and lying for why the job isn t completed. If this was a few acres I would understand but it is a small single family home on less then a quarter acre and my lawn has now not been cut for almost a month. Totally waste of money and time you re better off going elsewhere and spending the xtra 10-20$.

I was able to be connected with a great lawn care crew through LawnStarter for a more reasonable price than others had quoted me. I m happy with the crew I was assigned and their services!

I had several missed services where it was scheduled and crews did not show. One crew had to be reminded to come and they rushed through it, missing several areas. Finally, I cancelled services and was still charged for a job I enlisted another company to do. Terrible service, I do not recommend.

He would sometimes cut all of the lawn. Other times wouldn t do the edging and trimming around our fence, sometimes doesn t cut by the garage. Then one week didn t even cut grass, said he was sick. After that went on vacation for about two weeks and no cut my grass all that time. Services

This was a horrible experience. I booked appointments with this company for a week straight they kept not showing up or even calling. Never ever came and constantly sends me emails about service they never come to complete. I doubt there a real company they claim to be the Uber oh lawn maintenance but Uber shows up promptly & can be tracked. These ppl are a joke, and I still have to find someone to cut my parents yard. It s been over a month and I ve had services cancelled 3 times. The number here no longer even works and I didn t ever get a curtsey call regarding my cancelled services. In turn I ve had to pay additional money to have my grass cut

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I used this company successfully for one summer, however, this summer was a completely different experience and an absolute nightmare. They assigned unreliable crews to cut my grass. These crews constantly rescheduled due to inclement weather even though it was sunny and not a cloud in the sky. A few times they indicated they completed the job and never really showed up. I was charged, of course, and then they wouldnt refund my money but would only give a credit on my account. Weeks would go by between cuts and my grass would get high. They would then charge a long grass fee even though it was caused by their crews not showing up. This last cut the crew caused property damage, the representative, Kylie, again tried to credit my account instead of sending the funds to me to replace damaged property. Now here it 3 weeks since my last cut with high grass again. Trying now to find another company to cut. I would definently NOT reccomend this company.!

DONT Use this company PLEASE! They are a rip off. We set a date for them to come and they didnt show up until a week later charging us double because our grass was more than six inches high! If they would of come when they were supposed to it would of been fine. They cut the grass half a$$ , didnt weedwhack left grass laying all over the yard so when we and our pet came in we dragged grass in. I could go on and on but I think you get the gist of this poor excuse for a company! Please spend your hard earned money on someone else! Anyone else is better than this company. They will rip you off!

Customer service reps were unable to access my account information 3 different times. Also my attorney had the same problem. Apparently your reps didnt know how to look up accounts by phone #, name or address. Went to another company

Between work and other responsibilities it was hard to stay on top of the lawn. It seemed like every time WE had time it would rain or something would come up. Lawnstarter has taken that pressure off of us. Lawn gets done in a timely fashion and if i need any thing extra asking is easy. The price is reasonable and very much worth the investment.

Terrific lawncare service at a reasonable price.

The way this company operates makes me very uncomfortable. On Sunday, July 5th I visited LawnStarter s website. When I clicked the link to get a free quote, the site asked me for my contact information, and I was contacted by a representative shortly after that. I explained that my grass is very tall, and I would like to know how much it would cost to get a mow (they charge additional fees for grass that is higher than 6 inches). The gentleman I spoke to said that he could not give me a price over the phone because the fee would depend on how long the grass is. He said that a mowing team would come to my house, take a look at my yard, and give me a custom quote based on what they saw. He assured me that I would have an opportunity to consent to the quote before any work was done. If I did not agree with the price, I could decline their services. I continued to shop around and the next day, on July 6th I contacted my team to let them know that I had found another service and was no longer interested in LawnStarter. I also went to their website and canceled my so-called subscription . That should have been the end of it, but on Wednesday, July 8th I received a notification that I was being assigned to a new team. I hoped this was a mistake, but today, Thursday, July 9th , I got a notification that a team was on their way to my house! I immediately contacted the team via the website and let them know that I was not interested in any LawnStarter services and apologized for any inconvenience. I again went to the website and attempted to cancel my subscription . At this point, I have now indicated FOUR TIMES that I DO NOT want services from LawnStarter. Surely after I have made it so clear that I do not want to work with them, they would not still come to my house, right? WRONG! This afternoon, Thursday July 9th, while inside on an important Zoom meeting I hear weed whackers in my back yard. I have to step away from my meeting and go out to my back yard to explain the situation and ask the gentlemen in my backyard to please stop what they are doing and leave. Now mind you, in my first conversation with a LawnStarter representative, I was told that I would have an opportunity to consent to the price before any work was done. But the team that came to my house started working in my yard without even knocking on the front door. I again contacted LawnStarter by phone and told them that I am not interested in their services and to please cancel any subscriptions that they signed me up for. The gentleman I talked to said that he would cancel my account, but I have a feeling this is not the end of it. (By the way, LawnStarter is an app and a website that connects customers with local mowers/businesses who offer lawn services. It s kind of like Uber. It is a national company, not a local business)

The customer service is exceptional but the lawn service is the worst I ve ever had. I tried two different crews and each time something was broken in my yard and they would miss huge clumps of grass. Even my neighbors complained about them messing up their yard. I would not recommend.

Anthony at Masterpiece Homes, a contractor with LawnStarter, is a hard worker and provides excellent service. I recommend his services without hesitation.

I scheduled bi-weekly mowings and it worked fine for 3-4 mows. Then 1 mow was missed and took slightly over a week to reschedule. Then another mow was missed and after the fact I was informed that Lawn Starter is no longer going to be servicing my area. They are a bit cheaper than the other quotes I got from local companies, but you ll pay for that with extreme unreliability.

Our mower broke so we needed help until we got ours fixed. First company Lawnstarter sent hacked up our lawn, uneven, patches missed, sloppy trimming. LawnStarter offered to send out a new crew in 48 hours. No one arrived. I had to reach out to Lawnstarter again. They apologized and said they had a new crew to come out....it was the same crew who hacked up our yard the first time. I literally laughed out loud when I got that alert. Ridiculous. And he couldnt come out right away because of personal issues. I will say that Lawnstarter didnt give me a hard time when I immediately canceled. They didnt hold me to the 3-Cut Minimum. Wondering if the lawn company they sent is the only one in my area (Glen Burnie, MD)?

Weeding was never done & when I complained they all of a sudden suspiciously can no longer find a crew to do my lawn mowing. They have stood me up for last 4 commitments they made to come out. Curious

The lawn service started out great then they could not keep up with the work load. Every time I called they would promise to send a lawn crew and no one came. After 3 weeks of waiting for my lawn to be mowed I had to find someone else . My grass was so high I had to pay extras to get it cut. I will never use them again, Lameservice...not lawnservice

When you sign up, you commit to three mows, and I was in for this. First mow was alright - it for rescheduled, which wasnt a big deal, and the team did an excellent job when they did. Second mow worse than alright - it got rescheduled, not a big deal, and then someone came out to mow. Problem was, only the front yard was completed, but the back yard and weed whacking, which we also pay for, was not completed. The mow, however, was marked as completed in the app. I reached out and said that the job was not complete. Someone came out a day or two later and fixed it. It was kinda annoying, but mistakes happen, right? ... Ok, so third mow- I got a notification through the app that the mow was complete. Looked outside and sure enough, nothing was done. I filed a complaint stating that this wasnt done and was quickly contacted stating that the original crew would not be able to do this mow, and theyd send another crew out withing 48 hours... That was three days ago. Ive tried reaching out through the app and cannot get ahold of the business. I also called the number through their website and it says that the number is longer in service. Outside of leaving this review, Im not sure how to get the final mow completed or get a full refund for the lack of service. This company sounded incredible and just what my husband and I needed. I do not recommend and highly caution anyone else who wants to pursue using this business. Id be happy to change this review if the company rectifies their mistakes, but this is as honest as I can be with the current standing of their services.

I had signed up for weekly mows. They cancelled my service 4 times and just didnt show up on the 5th. I signed up for the service as I dont own a mower. I now have insanely tall grass, will have to pay extra to get it cut elsewhere and the companys response was, sorry. This is outrageous. Take your money elsewhere.

They had a crew out to my house within a reasonable time, and the crew did a fantastic job by going above and beyond my expectations. Reasonable prices and they offer plenty waves to save a few bucks on your weekly mowing. I highly recommend.

I used them and promoted them last season. Thats until I couldnt get a consist crew and the last mow of the season they cut our lawn wet and kill our lawn. We mow it ourselves now. I suggest you go to another company instead of getting the run around from this company like I did.

This is my second season with LawnStart and I couldnt be more pleased with the 5 star customer service the team assigned to me gives.

We have had great experiences with Vinnie. Always comes on the assigned days and does a great job especially for the cost. He is great at communicating if they run into any issues.This allows for my husband to enjoy the wknd and not have to worry about the lawn.

Do not use this company. They have terrible customer service and greedy contractors. I ordered my first service in April for the first week of May. The contractor who was sent out insisted he needed to take the debris (that in no way impeded the .47 acre lawn) from the property for a charge of $85 before he would mow the lawn. I called customer support and told them I wasnt interested in this and that I needed my lawn mowed asap. They said theyd send someone as a one time fix. I waited a half a week (I was told it would take a few days) before calling in again. Im told they never bothered to find a contractor and therefore no one was going to be coming so it was a good thing I called back. I gave them a final chance to send someone, at this point its May 14th, over 7 days overdue and my lawn is overgrown. I find out on the 16th that they couldnt find anyone and that I should wait until the 21st for the first guy (who wanted to haul away debris instead of mowing my lawn) to come back again. Today I get an email saying LawnStarter Reminder - Youve Got a Mow Coming Up between May 21st and May 22nd, 2018!. Ive already told them I dont want them coming to my house and that I would be billing them for the damages to my lawn (petty I know, but its going to cost probably 80 bucks on top of the regular lawn fee for their sheer incompetence). So thats the story. Dont use them unless you like really tall unmowed grass!

No customer service, cancel your job, for no reason , and just tell you that on the scheduled day. Reschedule many times, no service at all.

Horrible service. Their customer service doesnt exist. They charged me for a mow when my grass had already been cut by a different company since I cancelled the service the week before. I have left emails and voicemails and no one has gotten back to me yet. Lets not forget the fact that the Baltimore number isnt a working number so you have to call a different city they never pick up the phone I held for 5 minutes only for it to switch me to voicemail.

Terrible experience with LawnStarter! They come across as a streamlined 3rd party contractor that sets up regular lawn services, but their execution is far from effective or satisfactory. Called on a Wednesday to sign up hoping to receive lawn service within 48 hours - my service window was given as Friday - Monday. On Monday the provider cut my neighbor s yard NOT mine. When I called I found out that my address was entered incorrectly by the LawnStarter rep that signed me up. I am then assured a new crew will come and everything will be fixed. Rescheduled for Wednesday-Thursday window. Now I am told that this scheduled service has been canceled and new appointment window has been assigned for the following Monday-Tuesday! How is this a service ?!? More like a Pain in the Rear. That would have made it 13 or 14 days from calling to sign up & actually having my yard mowed. I also had 3 phone calls that last 20ish minutes and they didn t resolve anything from their HQ. SAVE YOUR TIME and pass on using this company!

It is a good service. But, I paid for the second cut and nobody cut my grass. I had to call and reschedule.

Love the work that Brian s doing. Hope to keep him. He dependable and very critical of his work. My lawn looks Great!

Our lawn looked pretty bad before Lawn Starter sent someone out because it had been overgrown for a few weeks and since theyve mowed twice it looks wonderful now. They come and do the job and are never a bother and Im always impressed with the results.

Wesley arrives as scheduled and I always come home happy! Whats more is I love the constant check-ins and updates from the company. Emails, phone calls, texts, you name it and your info is there. Whats more is that I idiotically left my phone outside before leaving work and Wesley made sure it was secured by my front door! Cannot thank then enough for their service!!!

They are always on time, fast, and do an excellent job! They are able to complete our whole yard in 30 minutes. It takes my husband and I over an hour!

I would not give them any stars if I could.The person used a trimmer instead of a lawnmower. He only did the front and not the back or side. Bad service
