I have a large yard and it was giving me anxiety to start a project of my size. Monji wasn't the first company I called. Out of about 5 companies, Monji was the only one that would return my calls. He couldn't get to my yard for a few months, but he did help with an immediate need, which I thought was already being taken care of by another landscaper. Monji"s design incorporated my already existing pool and gazebo, which I really appreciated. He didn't change anything, but he did take out a bit of cement curbing, but that was all. I struggled with the amount of grass he wanted to take out and the size of planters he wanted to put in, but Monji's garden's are well known for their beauty and I had to trust the process. I don't love every plant in my garden, but every plant has a purpose to add texture or color, and that I do love! Monji's crew's are workers. Jorge is like this Stealth Ninja, disappearing and reappearing to check on crews, watering stations, and plants, even months later. If they could fix a pre- existing issue, they did. Unless they had to wait on a sub contractor, they were out here everyday, until the job was done. Monji has worked on projects at my house for the last 2 years. Dan knew what I wanted better than I did. I enjoy my garden everyday. If I have any regrets, it's that I didn't do this sooner!

We have had Monji do several of our home garden projects as well as several gardens I was responsible for at my former employer. They are without a doubt the most creative and professional landscape architect you can have. They don’t just put in a “yard”, they create gardens! Dan and his team go above and beyond in designing your garden as well as ensuring that the infrastructure is in place to support the landscape. The crew is attentive and responsive and Jorge manages the project with a high level of attention to detail. One of the many things we appreciate the most is that Dan will adjust things if needed once the project begins to ensure the overall design is achieved and even enhanced. When you hire a company that has employees who have been with it for more than 30 years, you know that it is one with integrity and quality. Our gardens (both front and back) in our new house has become the showcase of our neighborhood. Thank you Dan Aaron and all of the team for another great job done.

Monji captured our vision and exceeded our expectations. Their crews were very professional, well organized and worked fast. They mobilized the right equipment and their cement work was skillfully completed by a true craftsman. Thrilled with how it turned out!!! Night and day difference from another landscaping company that we used for part of our back yard. The new look literally changed the atmosphere of the front of our house, created a true garden. Best landscaper in town, recommend them wholeheartedly! They were reasonable on pricing and we have no regrets. They also did professional design plans and renderings up front to show us the concept before the shovels hit the dirt. Great experience!!!

The work crews worked hard and made visible progress each day they were on site. They cleaned up the work site every day leaving things neat and tidy. The crew was on site promptly each day and worked diligently. We had the entire back yard landscaped with some work done on the front yard as well. They checked with us every step of the way to make sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. They installed a pool, raised planting beds, retaining walls, landscaped and planted the borders, installed a pergola and a fire pit, replaced both gates to the backyard, extended the concrete in the front and planted some new foliage in the front yard. The job started in mid October and was finished in mid January despite three major holidays. I highly recommend their services as their professionalism was exemplary. We are totally thrilled with our new backyard and are now looking forward to buying the patio furniture so that we can fully enjoy the space.

We just had the pleasure of Monji doing our front yard. Our yard is about 3000sf and was mostly turf beforehand. We wanted a yard that was drought tolerant but we did want the typical gravel plus cactus look. Aaron was able to take our ideas and make them truly come to life. I literally took in a hand drawn sketch of what we wanted and he took that and made it look unbelievably good. Our new landscaping is absolutely beautiful, extremely drought tolerant, and matches our home perfectly. The knowledge base of Monji crews is incredible. The attention to do detail is unmatched and the service has no equal. Ida would send me an email of what to expect every week with the crews. Vidal greeted me everyday and told me what he would be working on, he took time to explain things I didn't understand. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality and design that Monji brought to the table and i couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Aaron for such a wonderful experience.

My wife wrote a review about Monji out of frustration we were having with their lack of customer service and follow up in regard to a bad experience we had with hiring Monji several years ago for our landscaping. Through a series of sip ups and bad communication, we fell through the cracks numerous times when we would try and reach out to the company to help with the issues we were having with our landscaping post install. At our wits ends with everything, my wife wrote a negative review on Monji because we felt like we had exhausted all other avenues in getting their attention in speaking with ANYONE that would help correct the wrongs with our service. After posting the review, we personally received a call from Dan Monji himself apologizing for the failure of his team and himself for what we had experienced with his company. Not only did he come out and and take the time to listen to us, he went over and above and fixed many of the problems that resulted from their original installation. Further more, he went the extra mile and than placed fresh mulch down in our entire backyard as a thank you for our business. We originally choose Monji because they came so highly recommended and felt so discouraged after they had installed our landscaping and couldn't have our point of contact with the company ever follow up with us and deal with some of the problems we were having post install. That being said, Monji himself came and delivered over any expectations we had and restored our faith with his company.
