The team of workers who remove the old sod and place the new sod are hackers. They cut electric lines, the internet cable and sprinkler lines and buried several of our sprinkler valves. Two years on and were still trying to repair the sprinkler mess. Overall expensive and so not great value either.

Sullivans Landscaping helped create a fantastic layout for our million dollar, new build. I work for a construction management company and connected with the owner and designer to come do a site visit. It was all smooth sailing from there. The owner, Ryan and in house designer, Shab were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and catered to our wants and needs for the property! Shabs design was very well thought out, and we appreciate the fact that they have everything itemized in order to add or deduct based on cost and satisfaction. We will definitely be using them again in the future!

Sullivan Landscaping prepared 4 beds, placed pavestone, removed dead plants, planted sod, replaced broken cement blocks covering portions of the back yard and cleaned up dead debris, leaves, branches. THey were efficient and thorough. Each time they left they would blow the area and leave it clean and presentable. There were weather delays and the staff emailed us diligently and kept us posted. The workers were friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this hardworking crew and company for any of your landscaping needs.

I dont like to leave negative reviews for independent businesses because I understand the impact it can have, however I am really disappointed in my experience with this company. I emailed them a landscape design plan for a backyard with dimensions and they reached out to set up a consultation. I met with Ryan Sullivan, who arrived 40 minutes later than scheduled. Thats not a huge deal, but its a good thing I had the flexibility to wait. Ryan was pleasant, seemed knowledgeable, and told me hed have no problem getting a proposal to me. He actually spent some time looking at the plan and discussing our options. And then crickets. I emailed to check in and did not get a response. I called and left a message with their office manager and there still has been no follow up. I waited for 20 days before posting this review to see if I would hear anything. This project is for a client of mine so not only did this waste my time but it also wasted her money. If the project was too small or if the schedule was too tight or there were problems with the design, a courtesy email would be in order.

Sullivans has been our go-to lawn service for awhile now. They are reliable, hard working, and customer oriented. I always set out a cooler with drinks and munchies if they have to work in awfully hot temps. I really like the work Sullivans does!

We have used them on several occasions for landscaping and they always do a great job! When we started our backyard had zero landscaping and we weren t sure where to start. Ryan did an excellent job designing a beautiful but low maintenance yard and dealing with all my questions and last minute changes. They don t cut corners and take the extra time to make sure things are done correctly. They are responsive and reliable. Also Natalie the office manager is amazing and such a pleasure to work with!

Sadly I have to update my review to reflect a more poor experience. Initially had a very good experience with the team and they were professional and courteous. After paying my partially finalized bill prior to all the work being completed is where I feel they just stopped responding. I hate leaving negative reviews but here we go. The initial service scheduled in May of 2022 was for irrigation maintenance. The gentlemen that came out was fantastic and noted they would have to rent a machine to try to find an irrigation box in the yard as our map on our sprinkler system was wrong. This is perfectly reasonable, happy to pay. The subsequent service they came out and was able to find the box and it was noted there was some rodent damage. I was not at home and was sent a text saying they will need to order some additional wiring and would come back to finish it. Perfectly fine, order what you need to, I will be happy to pay. Some time goes by and no update on fixing the wiring. I go and check the box and it remains damaged. I call Sullivans who had no idea I was still awaiting service. In the meantime, whereas my backyard sprinkler was previously working, it no longer is. I am unsure what to make of it. They had originally been communicating very well but suddenly stopped responding. I had gotten a quote from them for some landscaping and was going to move forward but as the irrigation stuff stalled, I ultimately chose not to move forward. I do feel maybe this is retribution? Unaware. It may also be the company is just busier with larger projects--which in that case is reasonable. My main issue is dont start a service and then punt it out a month. I will say this, I think if you are doing a big project, they probably are a good company to work with. If you need minor work done, I would look elsewhere.

These guys are very respectful. Shared parking lot and they take all 3 handicapped parking spots while they have a nice lunch inside

Sullivans is fantastic. We had a relatively involved project with landscaping, grading, masonry, a fire pit, and more, all around a recently installed pool. The handled the job with the utmost professionalism. Hat tip to Alex for managing the project and being very available for every contingency. And Ryan did a great job with the design.

I cannot say enough good things about this company! They completely revamped my backyard. My backyard was a complete mess, actually, a trainwreck to put it nicely. It originally had a deep grade/slope with several septic lines visible. They first cleaned up all of the oak trees in the backyard. Then they built a retaining wall and leveled my backyard. They brought in four ( I believe) trucks of dirt to get it leveled. The guys on the crew were fantastic! Really, they were second to none! They worked fast. They were very friendly and answered all of my questions. The owner stopped by a few times to check the progress. Once the backyard was leveled, they landscaped my backyard to perfection. I would highly recommend Sullivans. My neighbors have stopped by to see the difference. They were speechless. They couldnt believe it. Their pricing to get the job done was fair. Thats really all you can ask for. From the people that worked in the office (Gabriella), to Greg who came over and provided the estimate, to Ryan checking in from time to time, and to the guys on the crew, I wanted to say thank you for an incredible job.

Sullivans transformed my backyard from barren wasteland to Chip and Joanna-worthy oasis. Ryan and team executed flawlessly on my design ideas and made it all happen in less than a day! Its been less than 24 hours since they completed the job and multiple neighbors have already stopped by to compliment my new and improved yard - even the dogs are happier to spend time outside with the new lush grass and modern landscaping. Well done, team, and highly recommended to anyone looking for an upgrade!

I am extremely pleased with the look and quality of the new landscaping work (and sprinkler system) modifications that Sullivans did for my our yard this October. Every aspect of the process was positive and I appreciated my interactions with every single person in this company, from the initial consultation meeting with the owner, Ryan Sullivan, the editing & bid process with Natalie at the office to get the mix of plants we wanted just right, the follow-up scheduling to get the work on the calendar, their project manager and on-site supervisor Alex was also great to work with. The hard-working men who did the soil prep, edging installs, laying of the flagstones & rock, and plantings also did a wonderful job and were all very polite and professional. They did the job well and never tried to cut any corners. It was a big job and a bit of an investment for us, but we feel that it was 100% worth the money and would pick this company again. Also worth pointing out --- their communication in general is excellent and they are very responsive and ON TIME!!!! They show up! As sad as it sounds, it feels like the constructions industry and most service providers having to do with home repair and improvement are terrible at both communications, and super flaky and late all the time. These guys are not like that -- extremely professional and a well-run team. Very very happy. Thank you!

We hired Sullivans to landscape our backyard. We already had plans in place and walked them through the drawing we had made. An estimate was written up the same day they came out, along with a short video that walked through the project. This was a very nice touch in order to ensure everything was correct. Once we accepted the bid (which was the best price of all the places we consulted) we were put on the schedule right away. First day they came out to do the work the owner was present as well as a PM, and we walked through the project again. I really appreciated this as a reassurance that they were interested in getting things right. The project went very smoothly after that and they were done in the amount of time they said it would take. The work was clean and efficient; the crew even went above and beyond by cleaning up the leaves in an area of the yard they werent even working. I was really impressed by the crew on our job and their finishing work was spot on. From start to finish Sullivans was a wonderful company to work with and I would certainly hire them again for future projects.

I was very disappointed with the service - Ryan came to our house to give us an estimate - during the meeting, it was very difficult for him to articulate his suggestions - he is a very pleasant person but it was difficult to extract a professional vision - he gave us a rough estimate of 10,000 $ and promised that within the hour (or later in the afternoon) he would email us the concrete plans. He totally disappeared! I sent him a reminding email but nothing happened - not even a reply, out of curtesy. We were actually ready to go ahead with such a big job and hire his company on the spot -- Very disappointing !

Weve been long-time customers with Sullivan Landscaping, and the quality of their work was average to average minus. Sometimes our lawn looked better after their crews visit, and sometimes not so good. Weve stayed on, nevertheless, because I realized that apparently, this is not so easy to find a good quality, reliable lawn service company in Austin. However, their last service visit turned into a disaster and ended with our front yard phone cable being cut, and our sprinkler system damaged and needing a repair. I knew about the cable problem because they at least honestly told me theyve cut it. Not so with the sprinkler system. Weve learned about the problem when we could hear the water spraying everywhere against the house the next time it turned on automatically. We had some logistical problems to get on our sprinkler system guys schedule, and had him over a couple of days ago (it took a while from the day the system was damaged till the check-up because of his busy schedule). We had him check the entire system and replace the damaged heads. When I emailed the paid invoice to Sullivan and asked for reimbursement, I didnt get as much as an email or a phone call back. Nothing! I had to follow up on my email by calling them the next day just to have an extremely unpleasant and offensive conversations with Natalie, and then Lisa. Both ladies had raised suspicions that the damage has nothing to do with them and that we, basically, are trying to pin it on them and have them pay for it. Great! Just what I wanted to hear. Lisa then went on saying that they cannot pay what weve been charged, but they are willing to repay us for the replacement head. When I asked how much it would be, she said $9 credited to my account (!!!). WHAT? $9 refund on a $100 invoice? AMAZING! Of course I told her to keep the $9 and to suspend our service immediately. I would not have had it with any company, less of all I expected it from the company we stayed on with for a few years tolerating their so-so service in the first place. Well, no longer I have patience for bad service and for terrible attitude coming from a company I work with.

I responded to Sullivans via email. Here it is and the frustration Post-service. So the below was from me. I cannot tell you the issues I have had since Sullivans was last here. I gave up asking for issues to be fixed. Two drip irrigation hoses in the backyard were sliced (again) due to trimming the palms and planting one of the damaged raphiolepsis, 3 sprinkler heads in the backyard are not sufficient resulting in the grass turning brown, the sprinkler head I asked to be turned down by the vine next to the patio your irrigation expert said it was turned down all the way resulting in over watering which is amusing since I finally turned it down to minimal on my own, due to the pea gravel needing to be uplifted to fix irrigation issue caused by Sullivans over 3 times lessened the integrity of the weed barrier so now I have weeks everywhere in the pea gravel, the 2 larger plants planted in the front are dying (one due to over watering which I said was a concern and the other to not enough water which I have to water manually to counteract over watering the other but either way they are not looking great). So thats it. I supported your business over the years and even promoted over a neighborhood website but the last irrigation and landscaping fiasco was so disappointing. You requested a response and this is it. Revised my review. Worst landscaping company ever. Between miscommunication, damage resolution and no response to fix issues I could not be more disappointed. They have no idea about irrigation and drainage issues or how to install and repair. Their guys are clueless and the finger pointing is ridiculous. Dont trust the owners nice guy southern charm. He has no idea how to manage a business and after being a long time customer I get the shaft and left with a real mess on my hands. Inconceivable how he stays in business.

We used this company in spite of all the red flags and lack of communication prior to them doing a poor job and now we re paying for it. We have dead Boxwoods in our front flowerbed and tons of weeds continue to grow on top of the commercial net they lightly placed. They have us an estimate for the front and back landscaping and claim they used mulch estimated for both. To make matters worse our sprinkler system was damaged as well during completion of their job. They came out after more than several calls AND emails to fix the sprinklers but haven t responded to our last 5 emails about dead Boxwoods and weeds. Definitely save your money or shop around but please don t waste your time with the expectation of good customer service, quality products and professional installation. This is mom and pop that does not value customers. Shameful!!!!

Ryan Sullivan and team did a landscaping job for us and the work was outstanding. This was a pretty big job involving lots of rock including flagstone. We had a vision of what we wanted done and the end result exceeded our expectations. The crew was very good and the operations manager OJ made sure everything was top notch. Scheduling and communications were also very efficient, and Natalie was a pleasure to work with. End result was a very nice backyard patio with river rock beds feeding off of it. Highly recommend Sullivans Landscaping & Lawn Service.

I used their lawn service for a while, but then decided to terminate service. I emailed them and let them know I wanted to discontinue service. They came back with an email asking why which I ignored because I dont need to give a reason and went about my business. A week later they apparently came out to cut the grass and sent me an invoice. I told them I will not be paying for a service I told them I did not want with ample time and they chose to do anyway. I had nothing else to say to them. Today I received an email threatening to send it out for collections. Before this, I would have recommended their service. Now? No. Never.

I became associated with Sullivans several years ago. I took a chance with Ryan Sullivan because I think he was just starting out. His routine services were very good - ie, grass cutting, trimming, clean-up. This time it was more extensive. Besides shrubbery trimming, Sullivans did some major work in the front & back yards which included metal borders along the shrubbery on both sides of the house to keep mulch in & grass out. The biggest thing they did was repair a stone sidewalk along the back of the house. The sidewalk was cracked in several places & had become a tripping hazard. They fixed it and the sidewalk looks almost brand new. I would recommend Sullivans for any landscaping or lawn service.

Sullivans just finished a large job for me and these guys are awesome! They trimmed all my trees and laid new sod in both my front and back yards. It was alot of work in the heat and these guys worked their butts off! Im very happy with the results and will definitely recommend them for any landscaping or yard work you need. Lawn and plumbing service are exceptional. Just used their plumbing service today, for the first time and they were as conscientious with the plumbing as they have been with taking care of my yard. After using several different lawn services and being less than thrilled, I am happy to say I have finally found Sullivans.

Sullivans did an estimate at my house but never sent me a quote. I called them once a week for 4 weeks, and each time I was told that they would get back to me later that day but they never did. After several weeks I got a detailed proposal, but by then I went with another provider.

We couldnt be happier with our new landscaping! Ryan and crew did an outstanding job! We had the front and back lawn replaced, stone edging installed and brazos river rock added to the beds. Plants were also added to the beds. Ryan went out of his way to find a great 45 gallon tree-shaped burford holly for us! The crew cleaned up our lot at the end of each day, even making sure that any debris that had blown into neighboring yards was collected. Pricing was very competitive and Ryan was incredibly flexible as we worked through several design changes during the process. Highly recommended!

I have been a customer of Sullivans Lawncare for mowing, trimming and edging our yard for two years now. I must complement them on the quality and consistency of services provided by the mowing technicians as well as the in office personnel...especially Tish. Ive worked in the community association and property management sector; and is very conscious of vendor partners responsibility to keep customers aware of service schedule changes, hiring reliable technical crews, and executing high quality of work. The small finishing touches are not missed and makes them stand out from others. I have recommended them to other homeowners in my community and they feel the same. Ive using Sullivan Landscapes service since I bought my home in Pflugerville. They took care of horrible three cacti at home quickly and cleaned my yard neatly. Every two weeks, they maintain my backyard. Its amazing to have them to take care of these without any worries.
