Unfortunately, I would not recommend TruGreen to my family or friends. I had high hopes when switching from a local company to TruGreen but have been utterly disappointed during my time with TruGreen. Some of the challenges include poor customer service, inattentive to detail, and lack of personalization. Hopefully, the leaders in TruGreen s organization will heed this feedback and use it as a growth opportunity.

I called to see about the service. I was looking for someone to come out and give me an idea of what they consider from An evaluation of what might be causing brown spots. In order for them to do that I would have to sign a contract.

I filled my information on the site and was immediately called. I really didnt want a call. I wanted a written estimate I could have approved over email. I agreed to the price I was first quoted and told them I would fill out everything via email so I didnt give my card to random stranger who called me. They said this couldnt be done, which I feel is a lie. Then someone else called and said it could be done but they couldnt do it. Which I feel is another lie. Both times they got rude and hung up. This isnt customer service. This tells me the company is only concerned with sales and not service. Which Im going to guess no one ever gets.

Hired TruGreen to perform standard lawn aeration on a small patch of grass in our backyard. The first guy came and was unable to complete the aeration because there were a few steps to the backyard and he needed help lifting his equipment so he needed to reschedule us for a week out. Annoying they didn t ask that ahead of time, but fine. They were rescheduled to come out today and I stayed home to meet them. During the course of the day the live tracker would say they were on the way, then pause with no ETA. Finally at the end of our window it showed they were en route so I went outside to wait for them. The tracker showed them in the neighborhood but then they cancelled without even driving past the house. When I called, they said they did not have the right aerator (whatever that means) and needed to reschedule another week out. We cancelled the service without having ever started. So disappointing.

If i could have rated my service lower i would have. The service staff often did not show up but would claim to have completed work on my property. I attempted to speak with a manager but the manager was unavailable.

Just got off the phone with the most rude rep Ive ever had from Trugreen. I asked for pricing and they asked for all this data first and I said what do you need to just give me a quote...after sharing my data she said she couldnt give me a quote if I didnt have the square footage. Trugreen makes it hard to even give them your business AND the customer service is awful.

My questions/concerns are always addressed.

On the day of service, I did not get a phone call at all to let me know a time that they might be coming at all. Also, for the amount of money it seemed like they might have done more. Or maybe it should have been explained better. I have had no contact with them since the technician has been out for some reason. The technician was Very nice. So I guess overall it was a fair experience so far. We will see.

Alex B was very attentive actually assessed all the shrubs and gave me suggestions to better them. He was there for a record time others pull up and are only there for 5 minutes and sit in their truck passing time. Alex B actually was in the yard what seemed to be a good 30 minutes or more. Over time the yard gets healthier, but you have to stay on top of services and Management to ensure its done correctly. Sometimes this requires re-servicing, but they will get it done. The Service Technicians appear to be happy employees; And they are very efficient when your presence is seen during servicing. Thats why I like to be home every time they come; but they only give you a days notice and sometimes I cant change my schedule. This is the only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 star. UPDATE: Today (3/18/24), my lawn was serviced by William T. He did an excellent job by covering the entire yard! He answered some concerns I have that Management could not contact me when I provided them my availability over the past two weeks (this is why I still give them 4/5 stars). Once my concerns have been fulfilled I my come back and update this post...

My first service provided and this is my experience... They promised me half off my first service for $42 and charged me $112 without my permission.

TruGreen has improved. My neighbor has weeds and it seemed to get to my lawn. TruGreen came out and addressed the weeds. Currently there are no weed in my lawn. I expect a very lush deep green lawn this spring and summer.

It was a very bad experience. They killed a 45 ft fir tree and the bushes in front of house. Made no apologies or did they offer to pay for the damages. Very very bad !

Their are becoming something else now. They charged me three times within a month for the services they were not able to explain. Their management need to work on this trend.

Do NOT under any circumstances reach out to this company. They will hound you with phone calls (on Fri and weekend nights!) and even come to your door after you tell them you are not interested. I will go out of my way to make sure I warn people about them.

I got this service six weeks after laying down new sods. So we are six months into this service. I have more weeds than before. I even received a weed violation from my association. This experience is very upsetting and disappointing. I would never recommend Truegreen to anyone.

This company is absolutely horrible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU LIVE IN THE ATLANTA AREA. They will kill your grass. They will kill your grass guaranteed. I know of 4 people who use this company and all have lost there grass. The managers always tell you that its the homeowners fault. They NEVER want to fix there mistakes without you paying more money. They are never on time and ifnyou get aeration get ready for alot of extra work cuz they will destroy your yard. They rush through every service. I was home forbthe last three applications. I began my new lawn care program for weed control and fertilization today with TruGreen. The technician Nathaniel was very informative with all my questions. Looking forward to a beautiful, lush, green lawn!

My front and back lawns were being invaded by a fast growing weed. TruGreen treatments definitely took care of the issue and now its just a matter of getting it to green up.

This was a follow up from my last service. I have since hired another lawn service. I explained to Johnathan I no longer have a contract with aTru Green and this is a follow up for weed control. He was very polite and professional and did a good service.

We have been using TruGreen for years. Added the mosquito treatment several years ago and have been super satisfied. Daniel is who we had the joy of meeting today. He was very proud of his work as were we too. We appreciate all of you.

My lawn has been looking good for the 5 years I ve been with TruGreen

I would not recommend this company to my worse enemy. This company is impossible to deal with. I had multiple problems with their service that I wanted to reach out to a local service manager about, I called four different times never got called back. You cannot speak to anyone there is no local number. My service last year was great. This year they obviously sprayed poison all over my yard because they completely destroyed the grass. Giant brown spots everywhere. There are more weeds and grass now as whatever they ve done has literally killed all of the grass. If I had more time, I would file a lawsuit against these guys. My lawn was beautiful before they started and now it is horrible. The final straw was after I called to complain. They sent over a technician to supposedly do a re-spray and fix all of the problems. The guy pulled up sat in his truck for 10 minutes, got out and put some signs in the yard and left. I watched him out the window the whole time. . Do not waste your time or money hiring this company. They are awful!!

I would not recommend this company. Multiple times we were charged and it was very clear that no actual service was rendered to the lawn. They also provide non-existent customer service and will harass you incessantly if you try to dispute a charge. Please do not use this company.

TERRIBLE company, do not waste your time, or let them wreck your lawn. They killed off half of my grass early this year and theyve been working on fixing it I asked for no services to be done until we had a resolution. Instead, someone came out and serviced the lawn..whatever they used bleached/killed my grass again. My lawn looks like a topography map...reds..oranges..yellows..browns. I am furious. Do they care? No. Will they fix it? No. Waste of money, and now I have a terrible looking lawn to enjoy all summer.

Lawn service is good prefer liquid weed control instead of granulated granules that causes grass to burn however we had three services and cancel two due to damage trees and hedges Trugreen came out to see but at home owners cost we had trees and some hedges removed.

TruGreen is a rip off. They wont make an appointment with you because they dont want to alert you as to when they are coming so they can claim they treated your yard even when they didnt. In my case, they came and stayed for 6 minutes. They left no signs they had been on the premises. No yard sign. No note on the door. When I looked at my camera I saw the person had stayed just 6 minutes and had not sprayed for weeds and had not even treated the entire front yard. He did not treat the backyard at all because it was locked behind a gate and I had no idea he was coming that day or had even been there at all. The next visit I was actually there and i saw the TruGreen employee treat my front yard then close the back gate without stepping foot in the backyard. Then he left!! I would not recommend this company at all! They are complete tricksters. If you dont have cameras it will be difficult to prove that you are paying them for nothing and your yard will continue to look the same way it always has. DONT DO IT!!

KAMARII made sure I was aware of the big shade tree was why the bare spots existed.We discussed my option of having the tree cut back so the grass could grow. I opted for the shade the tree provided vs cutting it back.

Signed up for service (unfortunately before reading local reviews) and took off work to be here today. 2pm rolls around and no one has shown up, so I called in, only to learn that the tech claims to have come out and already serviced my lawn. LIES! Ive been home all day and have cameras surrounding my property, so I would know if someone came by. Not to mention, the service is for my backyard, which is gated, so I would have to physically let them in. If this is the type of shady business practice that Trugreen conducts, I will gladly call a more ethical company!

They burned my lawn and I can t get anyone to come out to look at it to rectify it. Totally incompetent and ruined my lawn.

Hope he becomes a reg tech for my yard.. . Update true green has came out and aerated and re-seeded my lawn. They done a soil test and admitted wrong doing by a tech using the incorrect spray on my yard causing all the grass to die.. I will say Im happy they admitted to their error and trying to fix it.. now its a matter of time to see if my lawn grows back from the damage. So fingers crossed and hopefully my next update will include pictures of my yard as it was before.. also the tech DeMarcus was one of the best test I have delt with this yr. Out of 9 others. That man deserves a raise.

This company is terrible, they will continue sending you bills even when you ask them to stop coming to the house for service. They will then send payments you had no idea existed to a collection agency. They just care about making a profit, they can care less about the service or destroying the very expensive grass we put out in our house. Please help me put this company down, they cannot continue doing so much damage and make a profit while doing it. You call them to discuss the situation and they act as if they are untouchable.

Professional service

I was not at home when TruGreen performed their services.

Do not trust a single word this company says. I reached out to TruGreen in April of 2021 and prepaid for a year of service. In January TrueGreen came out twice in 2 days and billed me roughly ~$140. When discussing this with the billing department, I was informed the year of services was not actually a year, but a number of treatments. This was completely different then what the sales rep sold me. I can chalk that up to poor communication. The part that really bothers me is the billing person I spoke with stated I received all of this information in an email and signed a contract. I never received this email, never signed anything, and they were unable to produce this document. At this point the billing agent said I received this all in the mail. I highly doubt this was ever mailed to me and if it was it was hidden in small print. After cancelling my service over the phone, a rep showed up the following month and I was billed again. Get everything in writing, because if you are talking to them on the phone they are lying to you.

I had been warned by neighbors of the poor service Trugreen provides. But I thought to try their services anyway. What a disappointment. Not a full month in, and the company has fallen short on their services. They were to spray my entire yard for weeds. The first time, the service guy only sprayed the front. When we brought it to their attention, he came back out and sprayed only the side yard. When asked about it, we were told that we had a contract to treat only the front yard. Who does that? Trugreen apologized and said that they would resend the serviceman back out on Monday. No one came. We called, and was promised that they would send someone on Friday. Today is Friday, and no one came. They apologized again for the 4th time. We immediately canceled our contract. What a total waste of time!! Go some where else! I will never recommend them to any of my clients. Did I mentioned that I am a licensed Realtor and Property Manager.

On numerous occasions, we have witnessed on our security system or in person that the service tech rides by during the time slot and does not stop or does not perform the service. Sometimes, they will get out of the car, NO SERVICE, and then drive off. This is a SCAM. Do not use TRUGREEN.

Ive used TruGreen for many years, but appears that the quality of their product and service has dramatically changed. There have been no shows. I currently have a yard FULL of weeds and yellowing/brown spots so much so that my landscaper asked if Id discontiued the treatments. Im not sure what Ive been paying for but its certainly not reflected in my yard.

Called for a service estimate and the lady that answered the phone was rude she hung up on me when I didnt agree with the price I told her that it was cheaper to do it my self and that I was being lazy . Lazy is when she hung up. If she would have worked a little on the price I would have used you. You guys did a great job on my buddys yard. Very unprofessional!

On April 18th Tru Green sprayed their herbicide on my front lawn. Despite all my doors and windows being closed, the herbicide somehow got into my house and spread throughout my entire home. I am asthmatic and as a result immediately suffered from asthma symptoms, along with a sore throat. I rented a hotel room for a couple of days and upon returning to my home still suffered from the same physical reaction as the herbicide was still present in my home. That same week I called Tru Green to inform them of my issue to see if there was anything they could do. The representative said there wasnt anything that could be done. Almost a month later, the herbicide is still present in my home despite me deep cleaning my house, getting rid of funiture and using a cleaning service to rid of the herbicide. My symptoms from the herbicide have gotten worse. I do not recommend Tru Green to anyone as their herbicide/round up product poses a serious risk to ones health and they will not help you with a solution if youre in desperate need of it.

To: TruGreen I will start with the disappointment of TruGreen service, communication, and elusive operations. It appears to be a company that manage itself and has no accountability. Some reference companies like this to be fortune 500 or a juggernaut in today s world. They have told me on so many occasions what they plan to do to correct my problem with my yard but unfortunately that is not the case. I have been attempting to communicate and be patient with them due to the COVID pandemic. I have never written a bad review during this time. This process of my Front and backyard (centipede) being chemically exposed (burned) started in August 2021. I have been patient and were told to wait and see what grass come back. I have been waiting 9-months for some type of resolve however, I ve received excuses and the run around. Throughout this waiting process I have not once stopped a payment. TruGreen continued to treat and spray my lawn although there was no lawn to treat. This went on for months as you can see. If possible, I will upload the pictures of the front and backyard before the chemical mishap and then after. I was recently told that a technician would come out to aerate and reseed the backyard. On May 18, 2022 a technician came out and aerated 1/3 of the backyard with no visible seeding (centipede). I was also told that my front yard will be residing with Bermuda grass to replace the centipede. At this point it is hard to believe Tru Green can accomplish this task correctly. Again, I must say that I m greatly dissatisfied with TruGreen performance thus far. I will not entertain the bad characterizations of the company. It appears that maybe it all depends on where you are located or live. It should not matter if you live in a prominent area or not but we all know living in a prominent area has its perk which are known to be consistent service. See the pictures and judge for yourself and ask would you support this company.

No service done, yet a bill of $400dollars in less than 2 weeks. Someone in their accounts department is acting funny. Am I call them today to cancel and ask for all my refunds.

TruGreen isnt worth it. They completely ignored that there is a backyard. My babies have mosquito bites everywhere after 2 treatments. I wfh, so I watched the tech.

I was not contacted when they arrived or when they finished as I asked. There were a couple of small section of my lawn that were missed. And the gate to my back yard was left wide open when they left. I m most frustrated with the agent I spoke to regarding my unfinished job. They agent did not respond to my questions, and simply read a script. They did not resolve the matter until I asked to be transferred to someone. Though I was mostly satisfied with the job I m so disappointed with the customer service I would not use again.

Been using TruGreen for over a year. Not only do we still have a ton of weeds, but they scorched our lawn!!!! Needless to say, we will be cancelling

This was very disappointing to say the least but now I have a larger issue. My card was charged $89.00 by you guys without my consent. Ive only had one treatment which was $29.99 and I canceled immediately after that for poor service rendered. I need these funds refunded to my account, this charge is fraudulent! The guy literally came over turned over a bucket of fertilizer of my newly laid Zeon Zoysia grass and showed up 2 days after the scheduled appointment with no call or communication. The technician had little knowledge about anything I asked regarding the brown spot on my lawn and how to treat them. This is the spot the guy spilled an entire bucket of fertilizer on! See attached

I see Ashley Williams is not the only one TruGreen has provided subpar service to. I have tried calling multiple times where I keep getting the run around, have asked to speak to a supervisor multiple times. I will make sure that my Company also stops using them for commercial service as well.

I just had a vendor Gregory Amos come to my property to give a treatment for mosquitos. I did not receive a call 2 hours prior to them showing up and there was a young girl with him who did the spraying for less than 5 minutes. Gregory - an older man knocked on the door to let me know they were on the property. Gregory would not answer my questions about what product was being used, nor would he identify the service areas in my lot so I would know where they were going to spray. He had an unpleasant attitude because of these questions, which I feel are very responsible to ask. His response was it would be on my receipt My concern is the lack of service in simply communicating what was going to happen. My perception is that I have an account paid in full for 6 treatments within a year. This first treatment seems like a joke because my receipt says that a gallon was used but I could see the product inside the blower and it was a 2/3 full. How did I get a full treatment if there was so much product left in the machine and the blower was only on for less than 5 minutes? The general public should do their due diligence prior to booking this vendor. I will wait for a manager to call me back and remediate this situation as soon as possible.

On two different occasions they were supposed to service our yard the first occasion they drove down the street turned around and left this time they didn t even show up the reason I am confident of that is I have cameras and nowhere on the camera did they come by.

The technicians were efficient and very professional. They explained to me how to keep my yard and Lawn green. And pointed out the weeds that they were going to kill. Good job!

The care and services of TruGreen Staff was exceptional. Professional, punctual, and thorough!

Make sure to call this TRUGREEN branch if you would like a green S drawn in your front lawn. Tried to manage with this branch for a full year to give them a chance. Multiple times having to come back to my house 3 times for the same service. Still have weeds in my yard 1 year later. Corporate needs to step in at this branch and figure out what is going on.

Awful. I have more weeds in my lawn than when I started using TruGreen. Use absolutely any other service.

This is the worst company ever. For two months I ve tried getting them to my house. Someone has been home every time. They would say they are there and unable to complete my service due to my gate well when I call them and tell them I m leaving my doorbell on record all day they said they were there and that they weren t able to complete my service so today they say they are there and then they say the complete the service in the meantime my father and kids are outside playing and the guy never shows and never treats my yard then every time I call in to get a refund and cancel the service they hang up on me.

Professional service that keeps our lawn, plants and trees healthy and looking great. Excellent and responsive customer service and specialists who always take time to answer questions and offer suggestions.

The first tech (female) that came out did an excellent job of spraying. The 2nd tech only treated the front yard and not the sides or back of the house. The 3rd tech came by and threw a receipt on the porch with no service provided. The 4th for a bug service or something pulled in in front of my house, I received a text stated my service couldnt be performed followed by a phone call requesting to complete an additional service for a 1 time fee of $249. TruGreen needs to reevaluate their training programs/personnel. A manager did call, apologize and offered a free treatment for troubles. Needless to say my grass converted back to the original state. I do not recommend service in my area.

Timely service. Weed control is a definite plus. My lawn looks great!!!

We decided to try TruGreen this season and it has been nothing but a nightmare. For the past three weeks I have been calling customer care to ask that a tech walk the yard with me so I can point out some issues? Specifically asked that they come after 4 PM and at no time have they done so. Twice before 10 am and the 3rd time after 2 pm this last time actually was told that the previous reps lied to me when making the appointments. They are very dishonest with there customers and even a manager threw his line in about actually getting things done. Staff all apologize but never come through with anything stated or they say they will provide. Would not recommend them to anyone they are worst with the best name.

Terrible company. I have canceled the service several times, but they still attend and send me bills. They must be short of work. Just had to tell their employee to leave my yard, after he turned up uninvited. I have emailed you.. . No reply. Unbelievably, youve rung me today to say you are scheduled to visit. Yet again I have had to ring you to cancel.... CANCEL MY SERVICE... YOU ARE NOT WANTED. Message to everyone... DO NOT USE TRUGREEN!!!!

Trugreen has come to our home about 12 times, within 10 days of them treating our grass, they killed our entire lawn. We have been calling them 2x a day for over a week and they promise someone will be onsite that day. We have huge party in 3 days at our home and are embarrassed that our 2 million dollar home looks like a baron landscape.

Always pleased with service! Very responsive if anything crops up! Very professional! Thats for the Technician and the Customer Service. They helped me out with a glitch in my payment method so that everything stayed up to date and current! Very impressed!

Evaluation of my lawn

Trugreen did not perform paid for services. My lawn looks worse now than when I engaged them. They typically spent less than 5 minutes a visit. The last trip the service professional did spend time in my yard, and admitted the branch had recently let go other professionals for poor performance. When I spoke with the branch asking for a rebate they refused to do so. Avoid doing business with this company.

Use another service. Spent 45 minutes on the phone attempting to speak to the service manager in my area. Never got a hold of him or a call back. Just a remote worker at a call center. Areas of my lawn have been completely missed. I witnessed and spoke to the technician sent to my property prior to asking for a manager to contact me. His work ethic was pathetic at best. Moving to Weedman. After speaking with a Weedman tech (JJ) while he was treating my neighbors lawn it was a no brainer to switch to them. The tech was able to identify my grass type, every weed in my lawn, discuss treatments, etc. I could tell he was well-trained and took pride in his work.

TruGreen killed my lawn. My lawn turned brown after the second/third visit (hard to tell as they no showed several times). I have tried for months to get a call back or site visit. I have tried customer service, who are nice, but powerless. Lawn was new; neighbor s done together; theirs is perfect, mine is dead. Easy to tell from my photos which is the before picture (taken in same spot) We could have saved the yard if they would have responded. Months have passed; I have a year s prepaid service; they are doing nothing. Can t even get a call back. And of course are not providing any services I have pre-paid for. TreGreen - I read the reviews that say your preferred method of dealing with this complaints is to just ignore the customer until they go away. TruGreen- CALL ME BACK. I AM NOT GOING AWAY.
