Rent A Gardener team did a great job on my patio extension. I live in a condo and having a patio extension means that I was very restricted on what I could do since I had to follow the condo rules and regulations. Arun was very accommodating and did sketches and had answers for all my questions and was able to craft an extension that fit in the condo guidelines and was also made me happy. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them!

Major property cleanup including removal of several small trees and overgrown bushes. Removal of yard debris accumulated over several years, cutting back and trimming remaining hedges, weeding and mulching heavily overgrown flower beds. Crew showed up 8am and worked until nearly 5pm in 101 heat index weather. Very satisfied with results. Arun (owner) and one of his crew chiefs met with me initially on site to ensure they understood first hand what was needed and provided suggestions as needed. Arun was also present when the work started to ensure the crew knew exactly what to do and again near the end to ensure I was satisfied. Also, office staff always helpful and friendly and provided support several times when I had questions. I will happily use them again for future landscaping needs.

They helped us with clean up, trimming and removal, and planted well over a dozen new shrubs I had purchased earlier in the spring. Arun coordinated the project and designer Aarki shared her ideas on how to deploy the new plantings among the established ones, which bushes needed only trimming, and which ones needed to be removed. The team was pleasant and proactive and worked tirelessly on a warm and humid summer day to complete the project by dinner time. My husband and I were very pleased with the work Rent A Gardner did for us this season - cleaning up the beds, edging, spreading mulch and laying stepping stones for us. The crew went above and beyond what was expected and the owner always responded quickly to any questions we had.

The reviews I read b4 using Rent A Gardner indicated that they are not cheap but do excellent work. Our HOA adds new mulch and edging every three years for free. But it is c**p, wiggly edging, insect filled mulch at times. I have the basic shrubs the builder installed also mostly - c**p. They gave me an estimate of about $4K to redo the mulch beds and replace the shrubs with new planting. My spouse checked the prices they were charging with a knowledgeable friend and was told the pricing was spot on. I had the project divided into the mulch bed now and plantings in September. Their team was uber professional. I asked for a sketch of where the plants would go, I got a fantastic photoshopped presentation - wow. They measured the mulch bed depth with a tape measure to ensure accuracy. Two workers worked from 7 - 330 cleaning out and replacing mulch and weeds. The results were - WOW. The mulch is dark, the beds perfect - unlike my neighbors which the HOA did this year which are uneven and look like the mulch is several years old. I will post again after the plantings are done.

We had Rent A Gardener out again (we are repeat customers) to install two new raised beds and enlarge our existing beds. They also regraded a section of our yard that is always wet and hard to mow. They did a great job as always! The yard looks great. I highly recommend Rent A Gardener!

Update: We have had so many problems with maintaining the bushes that were recommended and planted by rent a Gardener. Finding out that these were not the ideal shrubs for the conditions of our front yard. Lost two of the bushes last year, and my two hydrangea bushes are probably going to be dead soon. I communicated the conditions and our needs. I just felt like the selection of shrubs was not done with our needs in mind. This was also confirmed by an arborist we have been working with. We now have to probably start all over. We bought a house and needed help with some landscaping. We decided to go with Rent a Gardener because of their fair pricing and customer service. Mathieu was great to work with. The workers who came out to do the work were amazing. They did such a great job and we are very happy. I also appreciated that I could email Matthieu with any questions and concerns and he was really good about getting back to me, I will definitely use the in the future and I highly recommend them.

Where to even begin?? We made the radical decision to replace our dying Kentucy bluegrass front lawn with natives, perennials and pollinators instead of grass. A friend designed the project & we hired Rent-a-Gardener to carry out the plans. Arun came out to view the scope of work & Aarki supervised the crew on-site as the plants were laid out. The project took the three-man crew three full days to complete. Fabian and his crew worked non-stop, despite the weather being uncooperative.The end result is AMAZING & we couldnt be happier! The quality of materials used is unbeatable. Plants are beautiful and healthy. Compost, soil & mulch were quality. What they called mulch, I call compost....black gold! Here is a before and an after of the job. Were already planning a back yard renovation & will call Rent-a-Gardener again!

They used excess topsoil to level and seed low spots in our lawn, at no additional cost. Rent-a-Gardener is a boutique garden architect. I have used them for a couple of years and each time my plants were of the highest quality! Their employees are professional and they keep tabs on the work.

My wife and I hired Rent A Gardener to do a major landscaping project for us. We purchased a new house in 2018 and it was in need of landscaping. We picked Rent A Gardener based on a recommendation from friends who used them. The project was estimated to take 8-days for 2-3 workers. The scope of the project was large and included a 16 x21 brick paver patio, a landscape border around the entire house using stepped wall as a border (natural stone product), 3 large flower beds with a stepped wall border, Routing downspout drainage away from the house, and the planting of trees/shrubs/flowers. Due to rain the project took 10 days to complete which is understandable. The work was done very well with little to no damage to the lawn. All debris was removed. The price was within budget. Even better is the finished landscape looks GREAT! Everyone who walks by our house comments and says it looks Great. I would recommend Rent A Gardener to anyone looking to have professional landscaping done.

Reviews look great- called for a quote, spoke to someone who got answers to basic questions and said they would have someone call us. Waited a week, no call. Ok. So we called back again and told them we hadn t heard and are requesting a quote. Another week, no call. If you are short-staffed or can t give us a quote, at least have the courtesy to take 1 minute to call and say so.

Very helpful with suggestions for improvements to my yard. Work is always professional and completed according to our plan. Look forward to our next job.

Back in April /May - I made several calls to 6 other landscaping companies (many calls not returned - or their ability to come out for an estimate was a month + away - or they came out, said I d have an estimate within a day or two, and I never got one) I TOTALLY get that businesses are operating with minimal help and that staffing is low during this (post) covid time. This company delivered! Matthieu Prost came out on schedule! Offered suggestions on the spot, listened to what my needs were for the job, said I d have an estimate the next day - and I did! He was willing to add and subtract plants, and other costs based on what we wanted. He agreed to repurposed flagstone and some of my already grown plants! He and his company gave consistent and prompt communication! The workers arrived on time (even early )! They were efficient (even in this heat - water and lunch were given by us) friendly, accommodating and did a wonderful job with the necessary clean up! Matthieu came out twice a day to check on how our project was progressing and was very workable! We haven t had landscaping done since we moved in 23 years ago! We are TOTALLY happy with the results! We are happy to recommend this company!

This is the second time weve used RAG, and it is the only company we will use for our future landscaping needs. We had a timely consultation appointment. They listened to our needs and wants and produced a plan that exceeded our expectations. Pricing was fair. The project manager closely supervised the work, the installers were amazing and the project was completed on time. They were polite, courteous, mindful of our neighbors adjoining properties and cleaned up after themselves. We wouldnt change a thing, and we are once again proud of our landscaping.

Matt was professional, on time and listened to what I wanted to accomplish. Even though they were not the lowest quote I received I felt they understood my vision. There was a lot of weeding and clean up that needed to be done and they did a great job. They took all the trash away and cleaned up after planting and mulching. Rent-a-Gardner has gotten us through landscaping after a tree removal, including grinding down the remaining stump and roots, sodding that area, forming a border perennial garden, and replacing a sick old crabapple tree in back with a beautiful Kousa Dogwood. Two words about Rent A Gardener: Hire them! The team spent two days at my home doing an extensive fall clean up including the removal of old flower beds and laying sod along one section of my yard. Everything about the project exceeded my expectations. The team was proactive in their communication regarding progress or any little decisions or updates I needed to participate in and when they were done the yard was cleaned up impeccably. Prompt, professional, and capable. We contacted Rent A Gardner about a drainage issue. Our sump pump out flow drainage had been constructed incorrectly by a previous owner of our home and a replacement was needed. Arun came out on a Saturday. He assessed the situation and gave us a description of the work he would do to correct the problem. He also gave a verbal estimate that was followed with a written estimate a few days later. When it was time to do the work, Aruns crew showed up on time and worked professionally and neatly. They took care of our lawn as well or better than we would ourselves. Really pleased with the landscaping job - came out exactly how I wanted it. The job was completed in the time allotted. Workers were great and left the yard looking neat and tidy. I had made a few changes after the initial estimate and Phil was great in working out a more friendly budget and keeping me up to date with emails. Will definitely keep you in mind for future work! :) Update - unfortunately, issues arose with regard to the new grass seed. It wasnt spread evenly, so large patches of the straw covering was left untreated - resulting in patchy growth. I also got grass growing where I did not want it - in the rocks in border of the house, due to careless distribution of the seed. See pics. I emailed Phil on a Sunday. When I did not hear back, I sent a follow up on Thursday. Phil responded that same day and I was told my email was being forwarded to a manager and that someone would be calling me the next day, Friday, to set up a time for someone to come reseed -- I was told they were busy and were trying to fit me into their schedule. Maybe its just me, but if you complete a job and take the customers money, you should assign a little more priority if there turns out to be an issue with that work. It is now Monday and I have not heard from Rent A Gardner. Since I dont know if they will ever get back to me, I went out this morning and bought grass seed to reseed the areas myself. Plus I will now have to pay even more money to water these areas of new seed until it gets established, an expense I should not have if the job had been done correctly the first time.

All of the workers did a fantastic job, very efficient, clean and friendly. Everyone did a great job while they were at my house and the job was very successful. There were some undisclosed billing costs at the end that werent discussed during the original estimate though which was frustrating.

The first thing that caught my eye was the name Rent A Gardner, the second was the bright yellow vehicles. A quick glance through the previous reviews and I made the call. They called when they said they would, came for the estimate as arranged, and had an estimate within hours. That is enough to recommend but the job they did was Amazing!! My yard was completely overgrown and contained several gardens that I had struggled to maintain. The crew came out, did everything they said would be done, did it Beautifully, and the bill was exactly what the estimate stated. Its amazing how this company has all 5 star reviews. I called for an estimate and to trim bushes he wanted 1500.00 just for the front of my house. I would say that was about 500.00 per hour. He never told me there was a 1500.00 minimum. Arun did arun my day. Caviat Emptor!!!!

For some reasons other landscapers did not want to do the work, but Rent-a-gardener stepped up to the plate. They also weeded and mulched the rest of my landscaping. My yard looks really nice.

Ive used Rent A Gardener two years in a row, the first year for the design and installation of landscape for all sides of my yard. Rent a gardener did a very nice job at my house. They were a little pricey but the job got done to my satisfaction. We had a grading issue and they work very hard and fix that issue.

Great experience! Rent-a-Gardener had planted 4 big trees for us in 2011 and we were happy to give our business to owner Arun again. We wanted new beds along a very long fence on one side of our yard that would curve around a new shed area. We wanted trees, shrubs and perennials. We also needed someone to build a solid foundation for the shed, which involved digging out old tree roots and old landscaping stones. Also needed a buried drain pipe to divert water from a downspout which floods the yard during heavy rains. We would have been unsure about having landscapers do the shed footing, but Rent-a-Gardeners horticulturist, Cindy, understood what we wanted and we knew the owner, Arun, was an engineer and he supervised that part. Within a few days of our first meeting, Cindy emailed a rough big picture idea for the beds as well as photos of specific plant suggestions. She was very flexible and wasnt offended if we didnt want exactly what shed suggested or if we changed our minds, etc. She was very good at working with us to tweak the overall design and the individual plants. She met us at the nursery to see all the perennial and shrub possibilities and to tag the 3 big trees. I love getting to pick out the exact trees! Once we narrowed down our plant selection, she gave us a preliminary estimate for all of this work. She also explained how they estimated labor costs. The estimate was very clear. I was really impressed with the men who did the site prep, planting and the additional work of building a really solid foundation for our new shed and digging a buried downspout extension for us. They did a great job on every single aspect of this. They worked really hard and were good at problem-solving. Theyve been with Rent-a-Gardener a long time. Cindy came each day, sometimes twice, to make sure they placed each plant exactly where I wanted it and Arun came by as needed to check on the planning and execution. The landscapers were very patient about that too, even replanting one tall grasses and one bush I decided to change! It seemed like we had added many plants at the last minute and that the guys did quite a bit of what seemed like extra work -- even removing an old basketball hoop and its deep cement footing; hacking out a stump that hadnt been visible in the new bed; and cleaning out, trenching and mulching an adjacent bed so it would all look finished -- so I was dreading the invoice. I was amazed to see that it was actually less than the original rough estimate. Total time between first visit and completion was one month and 2 days! We are definitely very happy with our Rent-a-Gardener experience and the beautiful results! Every time I look out my windows Im amazed! Wonderful! Id definitely work with them again.

Weve had Arun and his crew out twice now. The first was to completely redo the landscaping at the front of our house, and just today we had them out again to do deliver some mulch and topsoil/compost, in addition to some touch-up from last summers job. Weve been happy on both occasions. The jobs arent cheap, but theyre at or below the price of any other landscaper of this quality. Arun has been great to work with, too. Hes been flexible with our needs and budget, and he had his crew back out this spring to clean up bulbs that were left after the job last year.
