I left a message on their website that I would have liked a drainage assessment, and received a call a few days later. During the call I was advised by Tony that I needed to text him my name and address and what day I wanted him out there. I did that, and heard nothing until the day of the appointment. I called him again on Saturday, and he says he never received a text, which I clearly sent. I cant speak to the quality of the landscaping he does, but I am not impressed so far based on his apparent inability to respond to text messages or keep appointments.

Very disappointed after spending a lot of money for a backyard patio paver job and fire pit with Higher Ground Landscaping, that Tony wouldnt call us back a year later when one of the brick pillars around our fire pit area started to lean. We tried to get a hold of him on numerous occasions and he never returned our phone calls. Would not recommend.

I am not allowed to pick zero The first time I used this company three years ago for a new patio and slight landscape changes to a small area in the back yard they did a great job. Last year when I used them for the front yard - new sod, slight changes to the landscape design reusing most of my hostas and hydrangeas was a complete disaster! They installed burned out sod, ripped apart the hydrangeas and threw out (probably took) all of the huge, very unusual hosta plants. The long boxwood hedge they installed is crooked and touching the house. Initially I think Tony was well intended, but then he tried to convince me that the mess was what we discussed. He did replace the burned out sod. The uplights on 3 trees look great as do a few rose bushes. I will spend this summer correcting the problems and replacing what they pitched and took.

Had an exterior backyard drain system put in and couldn t be happier! Tony took the time to explain our options then make a recommendation. Since the in stall we ve had heavy rains and can confirm the system works as expected. We can actually use our yard again after heavy rains!! Tony also has been great in answering follow up questions I after the first time the system activated. I highly recommend this business!

I. am amazed at the professionalism and passion Tony has for this company. He took a lot of time to discuss my problems and helped me troubleshoot-sadly I was not able to utilize his services as I live 90 minutes away!

The intent for the job was for them to remove the old mulch from my beds. They surprised me with a 20 minute notice (the work was scheduled for weeks out), they did not finish the work leaving debris behind and they damaged my driveways with their equipment.

Tony is great at what he does! His crew is outstanding and it was an absolute pleasure to have them working on my backyard. He took the time to meet my needs and took excellent care of me. He solved problems I have been dealing with for over a decade!

I wanted to wait to write my review until the rains came this Spring, and Im glad I did. With the rain weve had, last Spring my yard would have been 6-8 inches of standing water. That was before Tony and his crew (Jesus, Todd, and all the wonderful fellows who worked on our drainage system) installed a French drain, catchment basin, and drain line out to the city storm sewer. This Spring, the yard is dry. No flooding, no soggy, no sinking shoes as we squelch out back -- DRY. If that alone is not enough to convince you, let me explain that hiring this company means you are hiring Tonys brain, which very much understands the science of drainage. Additionally, the crew is professional, efficient, and amazingly kind. Honestly, my lawn looks nicer now than it did before, which was not what I expected at all, after large scale equipment had to be driven through the wet clay. But they left it all graded and seeded, and it looks fantastic now! You get what you pay for. Higher Ground may come with a higher price tag than some other landscape companies, but thats because the work is that much better quality.

I met with Tony today, while we were unable to do business I would recommend Tony based on his knowledge and expertise. It was a good experience!

Tony is the biggest thief. We hired him to do our landscaping and everything was done wrong he got over $12,000 from us and never showed up again every time we called and texted he would say they are not coming they are busy with other projects he tricked us in every way possible he is all about the money did not want to come back and correct what was done wrong.my paver is not leveled, my fire pit is a complete disaster.trees are all crooked and not leveled. Paver was not sealed. They left all their material in three different spots around my house never came back to finish. and nothing was done as what was on the agreement. No I started the process of taking them to court. Be aware of this shady business. Do not pay them any money besides the deposit until they are completely done Toney and Dann are the biggest thief and they will trick you.

Amazing work, Tony is extremely friendly and easy to work with. I recently had a flooded back yard and Higher Ground built in a series of French drains and an outdoor sump pump system. I cannot wait to enjoy my DRY yard this year! I would give these guys 6 stars if I could, highly recommended.

He and his crew installed some badly needed drainage in our yard. Now the yard drains perfectly! Tony and his crew arrived when they said they would, communicated what they were going to do each day. Weve worked with Tony and his company twice now. The first time he did a patio and entire backyard landscaping. Now, were in a new house and he took out all of the previous landscaping and gave us the cleaner, more updated look we were going for. Both times he has been quick, communicated well, and made sure we were happy with a final walk through. My neighbors commented on how hard the guys worked while my husband and I were at work. We plan to work with him again to redo this homes patio and backyard landscaping, as well as some landscaping lighting in the front. Tony was a pleasure to work with, and he helped us come up with a stunning patio and landscape design. Its rare to find a contractor who is as excited and passionate about his work. His crew was polite and professional, and the work was done on schedule (also a rarity in the world of contractors). We are already planning to have him do more work next year.

We contacted Tony to update our outdoor lighting to an LED system and to reconfigure the lights. He came up with a great plan using these new LED bulbs at a reasonable bid quote. He was easy to work with and was timely with installation. Work was completed in one day and now our outdoor lighting is fabulous. We are the showpiece of the neighborhood with more efficient lighting and an easier programming box. He did a small landscaping job for us as well that we added after we attempted to do it without success. We will be contacting him again for further landscape work.

I had them install brick pavers at my home. They did a great job. The price was really fair. They warrantied everything. They also came back and replaced some bricks that were broken after a couple years. This company is one of the best. The job is beautiful and clean. My wife and I are extremely happy with the work. Ill be recommending everyone I know who needs landscaping to them.
