Overall great company that does quality work.

Like other reviews have stated, this company has an issue with overcharging. They quoted me a different amount when they were actually at the property than had been agreed on. I agreed to the new estimate because I didnt have time to wait for another provider. But even after that, I was surprised by how much I was charged because they added *additional* charges that were never mentioned or agreed.

On Hand Lawn Care Inc has been incredible from start to finish. The front office was responsive and helpful with all of our questions. Scheduling was a a simple process. Their crews are fast, efficient, and our yard looks amazing.

On-hand lawn Care charges by the minute they are near your house. In some instances, they charged me almost twice the amount of time they were actually at my house. They later even admitted to this. They also charged me for multiple bags of grass per visit, even when they did not use a single bag. I proved this by showing pictures from my surveillance system. Should you opt for On-Hand Lawn Care, its crucial to be vigilant. Verify how much time they spend on your lawn and ensure they are doing what they charge you for. I had to discover their mistakes myself, and when I brought this to their attention, I was hoping for an apology and for them to say they would not repeat it. Instead, they wanted proof, and even after I gave them the proof, they decided to raise my minimum amount (I assume to cover not being able to cheat me as easily). They did decide to refund me some of the money they cheated me out. I do not recommend this company.

When I purchased my investment property back in 2005 -- to ensure the esthetics and value of this property, I brought onboard ONHAND LAWN CARE in 2007 to care and maintain my lawn. In retrospect, this 17 year run of service was consistent in an attentive, affable and courteous administrative staff, and lawn care crews who were diligent and unwavering in their commitment to the beautification of my lawn. Onhand Lawn Care tailored the maintenance of my lawn within my budget. They are a well run business who always supported the needs of their customers. Consequently, my lawn was never a disappointment. I recently sold this property on June 7, 2024 -- and I can say On Hand Lawn Care played an important role in the success of my sale. I applaud On-Hand Lawn Care for hiring competent people to work for them. It s so difficult to find a lawn maintenance company who actually cares about their people, and who hires employees who pay attention to details. The team who cares for my lawn doesn t rush through the edging/weed-eating. They take the time to make sure they don t miss any spots. On Hand Lawn Care has been taking great care of my yard and flower beds for years. Recently, the Providence Village HOA sent a letter appreciating the caring that has been done in maintaining my yard and flower beds. Also, people have stopped and given compliments on how nice everything looks. Without the dedication of the crews and office staff, theses compliments would not have happened. My thanks to each and everyone of you.

This business goes out of their way to overcharge, and then tries to justify it by saying they are a family Christian-based company. They charged me $136.40 for a basic mow four days after I moved the yard myself. I have video surveillance of the time they were there and the number of bags they filled, and they grossly increased their fees by exaggerating both. Even when I volunteered to let them review my video evidence for proof of the overcharge they declined and still charged me an amount I could prove was wrong. These people are untrustworthy and Christian in name only, stay away!

Careless , unprofessional . I do agree with the policy of not responsible to any damages while mowing but it s common sense not to run over a visible drip line . Irony is , they sent an email to repairs it for over priced hourly charges + taxes . . And who mows the lawn in Jan and feb months .

This review is a compliment. In my ten years in Texas, I have always used a mowing service. My one major complaint is when a crew mows a wet yard and leaves wheel ruts in the lawn. It looks terrible, but they earned their pay by cutting my grass. This is a tip of my hat to Martin, the crew leader whose crew (Rene and Cristo) mowed my yard on March 28, 2023. Yes, it had rained the prior day. More importantly, I had had compost spread on my front yard about two weeks earlier. Martin, after the crew finished, came to my door and told me he had skipped mowing the front yard and wanted me to know. I had not thought about it, but the lawn mower wheels would have messed up the compost, grass, and yard. Therefore, for using common sense and preventing a problem, I say, Thank you, Martin!. Thank you for looking out for the customer.

A quick update, Ive been using on hand lawn care for years. I love them. They take excellent care of my lawn and they are a pleasure when I need to speak with them. ------------ They did a great job cutting down the weeds left behind by the previous home owner. I look forward to seeing how well they care for my lawn once I finish restoring it.

We had a lot of difficulty getting dependable and quality lawn service until we found On Hand Lawn Care. Our yards were completely overrun with weeds, and the lawns were in bad shape. On Hand quickly improved the condition of the yards, and today, you won t find one weed anywhere on our property. They are very dependable and have never missed a week of service. The work crews have always performed their jobs exceptionally, no matter what service they are providing, and at a value based price. Great customer service as well! Always responsive and friendly! I had On Hand Lawn Care mow and bag my Lawn for me yesterday. I just want to say the men they sent did an excellent job and would recommend On Hand Care for any of your lawn care needs.

I have been using On hand for several years to aerate my lawn. Last night I was looking an email account I no longer use and noticed several emails from On Hand saying I have a past due amount that needs to be cleared up and a reminder that this is theft of services . I thought oh my I need to see what this is about and take care of it thinking maybe I accidentally paid the wrong amount so I opened the pdf and there is an invoice for $10.88. I was baffled because I always pay when the service is rendered. I immediately replied with an email informing that I would be calling today to take care of it which I did and found out the charge was generated because they couldn t perform the service on a particular day and had to come back. This company is only a few miles from where I live and are in this area all the time. First of all, there is no reason I would have to cancel. Even if I m not home they have access to my back yard. Let s say I did have to cancel I can see charging for a cancellation if a customer habitually cancels a service but I am a long time customer and am just baffled over this! I told the lady I was speaking to on the phone that if $10.88 is worth losing a customer over then I would go ahead and pay up. She then proceeded to ask for my card info! For the record, I have never used another company to aerate my lawn but it won t be difficult to find another one. Also, I was going to have them completely revamp my flower beds in the coming spring. It s obviously not the $10.88 I have a problem with but a company that is willing to lose a long time customer over such a small amount is just mind boggling. Oh well

I ve been using this service for three years they started off fantastic. The guy that came to my home was very professional very clean I have no complaints about them. The problem comes when you receive your bill and they lie and steal money from you without your permission. They say all the calls are recorded but they can t find a phone call that I made. Jenny kept sending the same recording. They charge me for something that I did not receive I cancel services and they still charge me and then they continue to charge me late fee. Which I have no problem paying if I was in the wrong but again I cancel and they still charge me a month after because I noticed they were taking my money every week and I signed up for biweekly. so please please go to someone They change your plan without even notifying you. So I will take them to court.

Recently started charging us fees for items that were not disclosed on our service agreement. I sent them the original email where pricing and scope are clearly stated but they said it was incorrect and threatened to contact a collections agency (over one $7 disagreement). This is in addition to inconsistent scheduling beyond just weather delays. UPDATE: I will go through their response and point out all discrepancies. I tried to include a link to the service agreement but posting links is against googles review policy. I would be more than happy to email it to anyone who is interested for transparency. 1) Lawn was over grown because of the rain and needed to be bagged. Every customer is advised that bagging costs extra We were not advised of a fee. It is not in the agreement. I was also not informed that we would have to pay extra if our grass grows more than usual due to rain (seriously?). 2) 80% of our yards are already on weekly scheduling and this one needed weekly scheduling also but the customer did not want weekly They offer a bi-weekly service which is more expensive than a weekly service (see agreement). I do not understand why we would need a weekly service when we are paying a premium for the extra work involved per mow with the bi-weekly. 3) When the customer became hostile, rude and said they werent paying the bill we mentioned our collection procedures I said that I would be paying our agreed rate of $33 and not pay the additional $7 in fees we were billed. I also have email documentation supporting this statement. I became rude after Anita was rude to me by constantly interrupting me, raising her voice, threatening to call a collection agency, and effectively calling a liar despite me reading word for word (and emailing it to them afterwards) the service agreement which clearly states the rates. 4) This is only after trying to negotiate a fair deal for both parties. $6 for extra work cutting the lawn [...] is a bargain False statement. After failing to come to an agreement, I stated that we would like to cancel service and that we would be paying them the $33 originally agreed upon. It was at this point that Anita rudely threatened to call a collection service if I did not pay the additional $7 which was never agreed upon and never put in writing. 5) We always leave every lawn looking the best it can and if we did not bag and cut this lawn to the right height this customer would have complained. My complaints do not include the final product. There are dozens of companies in the area that can provide the same quality. My complaints are about the deceptive billing practices, poor customer service, and poor schedule keeping. 6) If we have to spend extra time on the yard because of Mother Nature and because of things out of our control we have to charge additional and this customer knew this from the beginning We have St. Augustine grass as do most people in the area. It does not require any special care other than being mowed occasionally. I have used several lawn companies in my life. I am aware of the challenges involved with weather. However this company takes it to the extreme by delaying service a week or more, using 2-3 days of bad weather as an excuse (even if your scheduled day was clear) and then attempting to charge the customer for the extra work involved. And again, we were never informed of this as shown in our email statement.

Did a good job, BUT They told me the initial service for my small yard was going to be $69 plus bagging ($3 per bag). My initial service was $105+tax!! There will not be a secondary appointment. Maybe that s why they charge so much for the initial appt.

We have used On-Hand, Little Elm, for the past several years and they have done a good job. They are fast. They also provided fertilization treatments which had good results. They are always responsive to my emails and phone calls.

My neighbor recommended On Hand Lawn Care to me. I was home during the first service and walked my property with the Crew Lead. I noticed additional items I wanted to take care of that I did not initially communicate when I was establishing service. The crew was at my house for about 6.5 hours (corner lot, former model home, lots of trees and bushes). My property looked better than I could have imagined. They even removed tree stumps from years ago. In my opinion, the company must operate on the premise of I am treating this property as if it were my home. I am pleased that On Hand Lawn Care is taking care of my primary residence.

I rarely leave reviews, but I m so disappointed with this experience and the lack of customer service that I felt it was important to share this negative experience. I m incredibly unhappy with the service, communication, and excessive payment for a one-time service. I felt the service wasn t done correctly. After expressing my concern, management became defensive and argued rather than trying to resolve the issue.

On Hand Lawn is reliable and professional. The crew, Angela, Crystal customer service is superb. I dont ever worry if they will do a good job. The services are scheduled soon a my weekly/biweekly service is always on time. Thank you Services

Use at your own risk. Against my better judgement, I continued to use this company for many months even though I hadnt been happy with their services. I suppose they depend on the hassle of finding another company keeping customers locked in. The list of issues has finally grown too long... and I am done. 1) They charge whatever they feel like charging based on how many minutes it takes their guys to complete the job. They state that Your property is allotted a certain amount of time for each mow based on square footage. If the crew exceeds the time allotted, additional fees may be applied. This should not be my issue, but theirs to better manage their workers.... So, if their guy starts his clock early or late - I pay... if he takes 5 min for a cool-down/water break - I pay... if hes walking slower because he hurt his back - I pay... When I signed up in 7/21, I was told in writing your weekly rates would be $24.00. My weekly rate has NEVER been $24 except for the first few weeks, and has been as large as $45 (generally, fluctuating between $28-36). 2) They charge for estimates of future work to be done. Really, an existing customer who is considering future work (in this case, the addition of a french drain) and they wanted to bill me for the estimate. Hmmm.... could it be that you know your bid is going to be high so youre covering a trip charge in case I go with a more reasonably priced contractor? Personally, I prefer a contractor whos going to work for my business rather than one whos in a no loss position and doesnt care if I choose them or not. 3) Their sod installation didnt take, and apparently they will only warranty for 3 months (but dont tell you that on the estimate or invoice). When I called with concerns early on it wasnt documented and the receptionist dismissed me saying we were in dormant season so thats why it wasnt yet taking and that I should wait for growing season...well, by then Im out of warranty. Quite convenient! 4) They completed a sprinkler repair, but never demonstrated to me that it was working. A few months later when my grass was dying, I tested it myself and noticed the repairs were not completed properly. I asked for them to come and inspect their work and they wanted to CHARGE me $50/hour to inspect their workmanship. Insane! Im done!

Ok here it is. This lawn company does an amazing job at mowing your yard and making it look pretty but the owner, manager, and office staff... whoever I have been dealing with is TERRIBLE! They incorrectly charged my card double the cost of a normal mow. I reached out to inform them of the error not once not twice but 5 times over the course of 2 months and never received a response from them. Then they had the nerve to come back to my house to mow then proceeded to charge me again without correcting the overpayment of $63 and after I already told them they no longer had authorization to charge my card until the billing dispute got resolved. Once again I tried to reach out and NOTHING. So after 5 calls and 2 months I decided it was time to dispute the charge on my credit card. This company had the nerve to email me a fee for $40 and proceed to tell me that they would get an attorney involved if I left a bad review. So here it is! A bad review so come get me. If you want a company to mow great but charge you anything they want please by all means pick this one.

I appreciated the courtesy and professionalism of the crew that mowed our yard. I pulled up to the house while they were working hard and they stopped mowing, to reduce the amount of grass flying through the air, as I walked by. They were very efficient and tidy as they bagged all the clippings and cleaned off all the hard areas before they left. WE look forward to a great looking lawn this summer.

We normally like to do our lawn/garden care ourselves BUT this year we decided to try On Hand Lawn Care for our spring cleanup. This included removing some old plantings, trimming all of our bushes & trees, clean up, and mulching. They are great! Great communication from scheduling to follow up, diligent workers, & excellent work. We will continue to use them.

Called early last week to set up my weed treatment program. I was told they d be in my neighborhood the next day and could get my lawn treated then. Was so excited to get started after seeing several of my neighbors lawns! It s been over a week and still nothing. I called on Thursday to report that no one had come and the receptionist told me she d look into it and give me a call back. No call back and it s now next Tuesday. One whole week later. This is unacceptable. There are many lawn care companies to choose with and looks like I have to try someone else out. I tried to work with them in the past as well and this incident reminded me of why I never used them; because I never got a call back the first time after leaving several messages. What s worse is that I m leaving town today and my backyard will be locked off so it was a waste when I could ve gone with another company. Maybe this will get their attention but it s already too late. I m canceling this service and will try lawntech next. Will give an update.

Only had one mow so far but have noticed a neighbors lawn for a couple years and how it s looks so I m trying them for the first time. Office is great and to me as a customer is worth 50% of the credit and the first cut and edge looks good. They are due to come back and spray the weeds. MUCH RESPECT Thank you all

We have been using On Hand Lawn Care for over 3 years now. I called them many times & sent them many emails - to see if they could come out & give us an estimate on some yard work & mowing questions that we had. I thought they would be more considerate & appreciative with us - especially since we have been such loyal customers to them for so long. However, they have completely ignored all of my phone calls (they always have a recording on & then they dont respond back to the messages that I have left them) and they also do not respond to the numerous emails I have sent them. Apparently, customer loyalty is not what they are striving for. We are now looking for a dependable & friendly lawn care company, and will stop using On Hand Lawn Care.

Kim and Monique were absolute gems in the scheduling department. Their team came out and turned our yard into something we could be proud of. Our flower beds looks so good that neighbors asked who we used! Been singing their praises on our neighborhood page when people look for recommendations.

By far, the best lawn maintenance company I have used. They show up in marked vehicles with logod shirts making the experience feel safe ad professional. They take pride in their work as it really was performed with excellence. Happy I found them after cycling through many poor quality companies that dont take pride in workmanship, where speed is prioritized over customer care.

Was getting bi-weekly service with no problems. The owner then started pushing me to go to weekly. He insisted our lawn was growing too quickly, which was a lie. Our lawn was growing normally just like everyone else s. He also made false claims that his crew had to spend extra time bagging grass. My wife and I both work from home and we watched his crew every time they were here. The only thing they ever did was they mowed, they trimmed, the blew and then they left. The crew never bagged anything and they were never here any longer than normal. besides, if we wanted his crew to bag grass, we would have asked for it. When I refused to go weekly, he then started to double charge me for the bi-weekly. We canceled service after discovering this. The double charge should have covered the last 2 cuts, yet he refuses to accept this and has threatened to sue me over it and has even threatened to turn my wife and I into the police. I haven t used them ever since, yet he still bills me every month and the amount continues to grow each time. He s scam artist. NO ONE should ever be forced into something they don t want and then threatened when they don t take.

In 2012 we moved into a rent house to be near our children who lived in Savannah. The yard of the rent house was in pretty bad shape. We asked our son-n-law who he used for their lawn service and he highly recommended On Hand Lawn Care. We called and made an appointment for this terribly neglected lawn. Within a few weeks, it was amazing what transpired. The weeds were gone, the grass was green, the shrubs were trimmed, flowers were planted and we were happy and most of all our neighbors were ecstatic to not have to live next door to an unkept and yard! After a couple years of renting we finally found where we wanted to build. Even though we belong to an HOA that maintains the yards with mowing, etc., weve continued to use On Hand Lawn Care for special needs to keep our place looking better. We highly recommend this company. The customer service is great, their prices are reasonable, and their employees know what they are doing!

I went on-line for a quote for some lawn work and received a great response with a lot of very specific information on their services and how they charge. It was very clear and easy to understand. They also followed up with a no-pressure follow-up. Ive seen their work around the neighborhood and it looks outstanding.

They charged me $96 for a small yard and said it took three men 45 min. My yard is extremely small and it would take me about ten minutes to mow it and I am a woman. I have no ideas what they were doing for 45 minutes but it certainly wasn t 45 minutes of hard work. This was a total rip off.

We have used On Hand Lawncare for years. We started using them at our previous home... and in 2016 we brought them with us to our new home. I live on a corner lot so many people see our home. I love driving in the driveway to a well kept lawn. No weeds, well manicured. They are quick and efficient and come on regularly scheduled days. I highly recommend them.

Ive been using these folks for many years to cut my grass, and maintain bushes and front landscaping. Their lawn service is reliable, although they do nick a sprinkler head once in awhile. Their landscaping service is spectacular. Im always very happy with their services, but they charge by the man hour and it can get a little pricey sometimes.

I could not have loved working with this company more! They are extremely responsive and perform any service you could imagine. As I move out of my rental, they are one of the reasons Im sad to go. But I will highly recommend them to my landlord so he can pass along their information to the next tenant. In fact, neighbors across the street were so impressed with my yard they contacted my landlord to find out who was doing it. Love, love, love this company! A+++++

IM EXTREMELY LIVID!! While on the way to visit family in Winding Creek, Texas an incident took place on yesterday in Aubrey, TX and Ive been trying to get in contact the owner. However, Ive been put on hold twice, hung up on, sent to voicemail over a dozen times and STILL NOTHING! Im OUTRAGED and bewildered that another day as come to a close and NO ONE HAS RETURNED MY CALLS.

I cannot say enough about this company.They always work hard to be professional, courteous, and on time always They work with us to be sure we are always satisfied and the best thing is they go the extra mile every time. Love this company and will recommend them in future

If I could give this company negative stars, I would. DO NOT TRUST THE QUOTE THEY GIVE YOU. I requested a quote and the woman on the phone does her research about the size of my property, the location, etc. She then quotes me a price of about $60 for my first service. They serviced my lawn the same day. Later, I get a charge on my card for $186!!! FOR A SMALL RESIDENTIAL LAWN MOWING SERVICE (no flower bed maintenance, no hedge trimming, nothing extra at all). I called because I assumed this absolutely had to be a mistake but NO. They proceeded to give me the run-around saying it took longer than they thought, they had to bag extra clippings, etc. and without notifying me of any extra fees, labor costs, time, or anything at all, they went ahead and charged my card more than TRIPLE the quoted price! Ive talked to 3 different people now and they refuse to do anything about it. They pretty much have a whats done is done attitude. It is absolute robbery and misuse of my credit card information. I did not agree to pay that outrageous price! I would not have chosen this company if I knew they were ever going to charge that much! I have never in my life paid almost $200 for someone to mow my lawn. We are a small family with a young child and they shamelessly took our hard-earned money - as much as half our grocery bill - just to mow our lawn. Its extremely saddening how they can take advantage of people they way they did.

Very disappointed with On Hand Lawn Care, Inc. I complained that the service was below standards after several cuts. After my complaint, the next time they mowed down my gardenia bush. Rather large bush not to see. The clipping were all over the hard as well. I would have expected an apology on my first call and a solution offered, but instead I got well, I ll talk to the foreman. I did receive an apology finally after insisting they discount the service or replace the gardenia bush which they did neither. Instead, I asked them to close my account and they immediately charged my account $149 dollars and didn t even send me an invoice nor did they advise they were charging my account. I would expect better customer service from any company that makes a mistake. They never advise when they are going to charge your account either. It s random. This business needs to work on customer service and I would not hire them.

I cannot believe how unprofessional this company has treated me. They are Awful at communication. Will not call me back. I am requesting someone in management or the owner to call me as soon as possible. I can t seem to get anyone in the office to help me. This has been going on for a couple weeks. We have used On Hand Lawn Care for the past 5 years and have had excellent results with the care and maintenance they have provided of our yard and flower beds. I would recommend them to all who ask.

When we contacted the company to inquire about their charges which we had not agreed to, they told us to pay it or you will be sent to collections and then made a personal threat over the phone saying if you would like to make things personal, then we can make it personal. This was a direct and personal threat knowing where we live. It was agreed to pay a bi-weekly fee of $29 after the first initial time they come out to provide services. I paid $110 the first time because they were here for 40 minutes and had 6 bags of clippings. The bag of clippings made sense because it had been months since we had mowed. The second time they came out, they claimed a false number of minutes- saying it took them 40 minutes again only 2 weeks after they came out the first time and they only had 1 bag of clippings. Per reviews, this company has a trend of falsely claiming time worked and sending those hours into collections. I was threatened the same thing if I did not pay what their claimed hours of labor. They have been in practice for charging hours they have not worked and threaten to send your invoice to collections if you do not pay. This is a form of extortion and many people within our area have fallen victim to these unethical business practices.

I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS This company fraudulently charged me for services I did NOT order. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE choose another lawncare service provider. You will save yourself SO much headache and money. I fired this company in late August, got married on Sept 1, and left for my honeymoon for two weeks. While I was away from home, their crews continued to visit and mow my yard even though I had cancelled my services 3 weeks prior. I found out from my neighbor that their crews kept coming as I was gone. After countless calls and emails that were UNANSWERED, the owner finally writes to me telling me I never cancelled my services (basically that Im lying) and demands payment for the 3 weeks of their unauthorized visits. I said I would not pay and even provided the phone record to show when I called and cancelled. He continued his disbelief and charged my card anyway. I called my credit card company and reported FRAUD. When I first hired this company, I thought $29 for mowing was pretty inexpensive, until I realized that mowing and edging is the ONLY thing theyll do - no weeds or other small general maintenance to actually make sure your property looks nice. Anything extra will cost you $$ per man hour, and usually at ridiculous rates. My flower beds were a little unkept with weeds and they wanted to charge me $40 per man per hour to pull weeds. NO THANKS! They also want to charge $3 per trash bag for bagging up your grass - which they did almost every visit using 2 or 3 bags - SERIOUSLY?! They also have a policy stating that they will not replace any sprinkler heads that their crews break. They state that if their crews break a sprinkler head, its because its malfunctioning, too high off the ground, and basically your fault.... Even though a normal human being can see that something is sticking out of the ground and purposefully not run over it. So they broke a head of mine and sent me some long email about how its my fault and its malfunctioning (even though the entire system was brand new installed last year). Then they kindly offered to replace for $40 per man per hour.... RIP OFF. A sprinkler head is like $5 and stupid simple to replace yourself. I kicked and screamed anyway and had them replace it for FREE after the owner was snarky and ugly with me. I also received countless emails from On Hand Lawn Care trying to sell extra services I absolutely do not need. Emails warning their customers of certain, bugs, worms, etc. that are increasing in number this year and will eat your grass. OH NOOO MY LAWN IS GOING TO DIE!!! But for an extra $45 per visit we can spray your lawn with a chemical you DONT NEED. PLEASE DONT BE A FOOL AND ACCEPT THESE OFFERS. After the sprinkler head incident I started looking for other providers. I found an amazing man who cares for my ENTIRE property for only $35 per visit. He mows, edges, pulls weeds, and makes sure my property looks good overall. No extra charges for bags, weed pulling, or broken sprinkler heads. No services offered that I dont need trying to make money. AND NO FRAUDULENT CHARGES EITHER. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL ARGUE WITH YOU AND TREAT YOU LIKE AN ENEMY UNTIL THEY GET THE MONEY THEY WANT.

I called 3 weeks ago to have them do a few thousand dollars of landscape work for one of my businesses. I was going to try them out, and perhaps hire them for additional properties. You would think 40 flats and 60 kale is work you wouldn t turn down??? Nobody ever came out . ::::I go by word of mouth. A few people said good things, their recommendations sold me. So, I made an appointment and regretfully nobody showed. Since then, the work has been completed.:::::

If I could give this company a 0 I would. I have been using this company for the past 5 years since I have owned my home. Have had 0 issues until the last few months. They have charged my card without permission after canceling service. Overcharging me because of their failure to mow my backyard which is the majority of my lawn. The office manager is rude and blames all the issues on myself and called me a liar. Please do not use this company. They do not value customer service. I am not of the belief that the customer is always right, however they are never wrong and will blame their mistakes on you and make you pay. I received a voicemail from the office manager stating that they hard a hard time getting into the gate lock and it took them a very long time to get in. They were on my property for 12 minutes according to my ring doorbell video camera. My poop service was here earlier that day and was able to get in the backyard just fine. Also the reason for them to not mow the backyard the week before was that the combination wasnt on the note. When the week before they were able to get in just fine no issue. And have had the combination to the lock for as long as I have had it. If they having issues getting in the backyard wouldnt it be courtesy to call and explain to the customer why the backyard was not mowed and try to get it fixed? When I spoke to the office manager on Monday to explain my concerns as to why I was no longer continuing with your services. The manager was very rude and confrontational. I am not of the belief that the customer is always right. I have been a loyal customer for years and have had several issues over the past few months. When trying to address the concerns I was greeted with attitude and excuses. But never an apology or a solution.

Always on time and good at adjusting to the seasons. They are also good at managing weeds so my lawn looks great. If you need something extra work done here and there they are quite reasonable. I appreciate their recommendations one watering throughout the year. I have used them for just over one year.

Use at your own risk! The work they do is outstanding, but do not think they will take responsibility or pay for any damages their employees cause to your property. Do not expect anything but excuses in trying to not pay by the owner John or any honest or open communication. They broke our window & have tried to get everyone else but them to pay for it, including having us file it on our home owners insurance.

I have used On Hand Lawn Care for many years - across four different residences in Frisco. They have done a terrific job with my lawn care (fertilization, weed control, weekly mowing/trimming) as well as on-demand landscaping (flowers, shrubs, bed maintenance). They even do my poop-scooping! OHLCs work has been stellar. The office staff is accommodating and professional. The crews are prompt, reliable, kind and friendly, and take care of the safety of my pets, too. I highly recommend OHLC. Try them -- youll be glad you did!

Have used them for years for seasonal flowers and flower bed maintenance. Asked them to provide a quote for new sod; which came in a great price, which I asked them to verify more than twice. Their final bill was THREE TIMES the estimate, plus they damaged our sprinkler system and tried to tell us the damage was unrelated.

Ive used them for years and my lawn usually looked good. But they nickel and dime you for everything and on several occasions have cut plants in my garden (although the garden is clearly defined). They also chopped up several of our flowers pots with their weed wackers and did nothing about it except to say that it was already like that. (They were the only ones to work on our yard so...) They can cut your lawn nicely but the cost (damage and frustration) isnt worth it. Lots of companies can cut your lawn nicely without the additional trouble. And if customer service is important to you, look elsewhere. It is not their strong suit!

Worst experience and waste of money. Had the worthless aeration service for the compacted areas of yard and they didnt even go over those areas. Inconsistency with crews quality. Leave missed patches consistently. More excuses than anything such as when they mowed over my kids marked planted tree. Wanted us to send a picture to prove it. Said we should sign up for every week because they will have to charge us more for bags because their mowers dont make it through our grass, when it was actually one time after rainy weather. Nickel and diming and poor business etiquette. I promise I could go on. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.!!

Been a long time customer. When called to discuss poor quality of work, they did not accept any responsibility and made excuses. Did not offer to fix situation other than to send the crew out and charge me more. Then I received an email 1-2 weeks later saying they reevaluated my property and are raising my rates!!! haha what a joke! no longer a customer. They do not value their customers...stay away

We have been using this company for over 3 years. I never thought they did spectacular work, but nonetheless, they were timely and reliable. A couple of months ago, I noticed the grass was too tall, so I sent in an email requesting that they, lower one notch from what is currently being used. They replied, confirmed and all was well. Fast forward 2 months, I come home to the front yard being scalped; however, they did not do this to the back yard. Upon speaking with the office manager, she determined that this was my fault because I requested that they lower it and that it is a permanent record in their system, You did not tell us to only lower it one time, Really???. Needless to say, I was shocked. She went on to tell me I wasnt watering enough because it was yellow. I explained to her that it was yellow because they scalped it and that the back yard was nice and green, because they didnt mess it up... I now have the worse yard in my neighborhood, that I was paying to have professionally done. Had at any point, the Manager stated, Mr. Customer, you are correct, we mowed it to short, I would have probably stayed with them... Very disappointing end to a long relationship.

I was with On Hand Lawn Care for about 5 years altogether. 3 years at our previous address and 2 years at our current address. At first everything was great. We were using them for weed control and mowing and everything looked great but over the years it appears that their service has gone down hill. When mowing they would leave strips where the grass wasnt cut and there was a time when my sprinkler was messed up and they were the only ones in the backyard and said I needed to take a picture. Also, this year I called and said I was no longer going to have them cut my grass and just use their weed control. Well, I feel that since I downgraded service they have not put their best foot forward to service my yard. I have more weeds now and last time they came, they did not lock my back gate back when they left. I also needed them to cut my grass twice this summer because I was not able to do it for 2 weeks. Now keep in mind I cut it every week and the first time they came out the invoice said they needed to bag it 7 times. That just didnt seems right to me. I honestly dont know what has happen with them. I have cancelled service but I do hope they get back on track. I do not want this to be viewed as a bashing review about this company but I just want to give my honest opinion.

On Hand Lawn Care does a great job mowing, edging, weedeading, blow drying. They also offer aeration, tree & shrub planting, trimming, pruning, and other lawn services.Their office staff are friendly and available to assist you with your inquiries. ll

If I could give them less than a 1 star, I would. They were supposed CORE aerate our lawn. They came and went over a couple of small areas of the lawn. I have tons of pictures showing where there machine never even went over. I called them immediately after I got home to let them know they did not fulfill the job. They did not fulfill the job I hired them to do. Their customer service is horrible and is completely disrespectful to military veterans. Horrible company.

They destroyed my rain gutter drains. Then refused to repair them. They also billed me for days they didnt mow. Stay away from this company.

I absolutely do not recommend this lawn care service. I signed up with them in December for monthly lawn mowing in the winter, then in March I contacted them because nobody had ever showed up since December! Once they did, I switched to bi-weekly mows for spring. They do not come bi-weekly. They do not come on the day I scheduled. They show up whenever they want. My lawn looks terrible because they barely ever come to my house! If you call their customer service, you instead get 100 excuses instead of an apology and a confirmed next day appointment. The final straw with this company is their deceptive billing. I have an email stating one price for my bi-weekly mows. However, the latest bill I received was higher than the agreed upon price I have via email. Instead of apologizing and correcting the statement, I received an email explaining how my written agreement is wrong. UPDATE: It seems that the business owner does not want to take accountability for their actions (see below response). When entering an agreement with a client, you cannot make up new agreements without informing the client. I simply asked our bill to be updated to reflect the amount we agreed upon, but instead they refused and became extremely angry (its actually over $7 - not $6). Its honestly not about the money, but based on one thing: reliability. I never could count on this crew to show up when scheduled nor can I count on them to charge me for the correct amount that we agreed upon in writing. And when confronted about it, I was met with an unprofessional attitude and lies. Ive now sent two emails requesting my bill to be updated that way I can pay, but I have received no response. Instead of checking your google reviews, please update my bill and email me back. Thanks! UPDATE #2: After a few days, On Hand Lawn Care finally updated my bill and I was able to pay in full and cancel my service.

Yes I agree with sabrina, they do not take responsibility for thier actions. Customers do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I hate to do this but I do wish to protect others. They have ruined my sprinkler system heads and blamed my system for it. They only mow my front yard, I cut the backyard. My neighbor recently noticed my sprinklers not spraying properly and some were even broken so they came and told me water was wasting all over the place. So I checked the sprinklers myself and 8 of the front yard sprinklers were damaged. I sent pictures of the damage and was just given excuses as to why. I explained to them that if my system was malfunctioning, why is it that the backyard sprinklers are fine,only the ones where they mow at are damaged or destroyed like they hit it with an edger or weedeater/I was still told they had nothing to do with it and they dont cover it anyway. I was told they would be more careful the next time they cut it and I politely said no thanks Im done. Ive cut my own yard for years and never had such a problem. I didnt get a single apology either. Very bad business practices. Even if you dont cover it, at least apologize.

I could not be more happy to write this review. Weve used this company for almost 2 years. Weve always been pleased. Well today they went above and beyond. One of our dogs escaped the yard through a hole under the fence. The crew knocked on the door and told me your dog is being arrested by Denton County Sherrif. I thought to myself, its not my dog, but hey, Ill go check. Sure enough it was one of my dogs! I retrieved the dog from the holding cell before DCSO carted her off to her jail cell. The crew member said he saw them loading our dog and told them he knew she belonged to me. DCSO allowed me to retrieve the little escapee and return her to the house. The crew completed their yard work and before they left, the crew took a shovel, found some fill dirt, and filled the holes the dog had dug under the fence. I cant tell you how much I appreciate them taking a few extra minutes to help keep our dogs safe and secure. Thanks for that!! We appreciate and value you and your team! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
