April 2023 Update: Rockaway just helped us refresh our landscaping after our harsher than usual winter season and we are LOVING the new landscape and design. Zach did a great job getting to know us and picking all the new plants out for us and we are really going to enjoy watching it grow up this spring and summer season. Hard workers!

We have Rockaway for our entire 42-unit condo complex landscaping, lawn spraying and irrigation and they do an outstanding job! Its not just about mowing and blowing!!! Just like any long-term vendor, its not always perfect, but we communicate with them and they always fix any issues. They have been super responsive on short notice when weve had to change their schedule, when we needed irrigation flagged for construction, and whenever weve needed just about anything. Theyve done some special landscaping projects for us - they advised us well on what to install and those areas are now beautiful. They have a superb office manager who listens and adjusts to any changes/requests and they respond quickly to emails. We love Rockaway!!!

We have found it necessary to stop using Rockaway as they failed to maintain our lawn. After 3 months with another service provider, leaving Rockaway was the best decision and one we should have done sooner! My husband and I have used Rockaway for several years. When we moved to our new home, we kept Rockaway for our lawn service. I cannot imagine using anyone else. Brian and Greg, owners, are available and hands on. We had recently undergone an extensive project to address our irrigation. Rockaway s irrigation guru Dar spent 2 days at our home fixing broken heads, correcting heads, adding new heads. Dar arrived on time and was very professional. He took time to give me an overview of his approach then got straight to work. With each zone, he demonstrated the changes. Not only did Dar give us much better irrigation for our lawn and new landscaping but he also took time to sweep up yard debris that had been left in front of our home by the waste pickup company used by our county. The best service I have ever had with a landscaping company

We are absolutely THRILLED with Rockaway Landscaping! So much so that we keep adding new projects to their list to continue our property improvements. Every employee has been kind, professional, prompt and knowledgeable! We hired this awesome company to re-landscape our entire yard....then we added lighting to the job (SO happy we did)...then we decided it was time for a new pavered patio! Rockaway exceeded ALL expectations with every project! Next, they will create a beautiful walkway on the side of our home...something we have wanted for 15 years! THANK YOU, Rockaway!!!!! Rockaway did an excellent job landscaping our property in Jacksonville Beach. We had some plants that they were able to work into their design to make our property feel like a true resort property. The lighting is amazing. The design work with Rosalinde was very professional. She arrived with real photos to give us an idea of what to expect when the project was complete. Dan the project manager kept us informed during the project to let us know what to expect while things were happening and what to expect over the next several weeks with watering the new sod, trees and plants. Everyone was, so nice, very helpful and informative. They showed us how to work the lights and irrigation systems. My husband and I couldn t be happier with the way everything turned out.

We ve used Rockaway three or four times now, and I can t say enough great things. Our jobs have ranged from small to big. The designers listen to your landscaping wants and needs, and create a beautiful scene. The installation team is precise, fast and clean. We have hired a lot of contractors in the past five years, and Rockaway is comprised of true professionals.

Rockaway helped us design and and install our new backyard. Would absolutely recommend their services and will definitely have them back to do additional work in the future.

We have used Rockaway several times and are very happy with the designs, staff and final product. Our backyard and front yard are beautiful thanks to them!! They truly stand behind their product and we will continue to use them in the future for any of our landscaping needs.

These guys are great. I m on our community HOA board and my wife heads up our Beautification Committee so we interact with Rockaway in a few different ways. We agree they re reliable, know plants, do great work with attention to detail and are easy to work with. From flowers to trees Greg has a good eye for what would look good where too, right plant right place . They charge us a fair price, in line with other options. No more complaints from residents. We changed vendors every 2 or so years before we found these guys. I grew up around the landscaping business and don t impress easily. They re as good as you ll find. -SS

I love shopping at Rockaway because of the expertise they provide. Weve saved so much frustration, money, time and get beautiful results by coming in and speaking with one of their experts who take the time to listen to what we are trying to do, what we like and make recommendations. Today we were ready to buy a bunch of plants --when Jodi gave us the advice to ammend our soil first so our plants would grow. She told us what we needed and how to do it. In all the years weve been buying plants for this particular garden, not one plant shop has ever recommended we do that first. I know this will save us hundreds of dollars (if not more) because our plants will do better and we wont have to keep replacing them as in the past. She also gave us recommendations so we wont end up with a look-a-like garden which I also love (and Rockaway has the plants to support that too). This is especially important to me as despite my telling other plant shops around town this when looking for plants, I usually get the same old recommendations I see all over town. We had similar GREAT advice by another employee at Rockaway in the fall for a container garden we were planting. She totally nailed it too. Well be back to buy the plants after ammending our soil. Thank you!

Best place for outdoor landscaping

Went in today needing a LOT of help and was greeted by the most helpful and cheerful young lady. I did not get her name! But I left with the most glorious large blue and white ceramic pot and lots of pretty blooms. These florals make such a big difference to the beauty and vibe of our outdoor space. I will definitely be back very soon to scoop up a few more of the gorgeous colorful pots and those lovely planters that have already been created with a perfect combination of plants and flowers. This is our go to place in Jacksonville for all things gardening... they have an excellent and divers selection of plants, flowers, potted baskets and planters that are beautiful, colorful and every size from small to very large... In my opinion its this place is delightful to spend your time and money to step up your gardening, whether you are novice or Master Gardener!! They also have all kinds of events and benifits for families as we as for adults... Music and adult beverages... AND SO MUCH MORE!! Its as beautiful as any park around town for sure....

Me and my family enjoyed picking out out Christmas Tree there this year. Everyone was amazing! The Christmas tree we got was the best we have ever gotten too!

We make the hike out from the Westside of Jacksonville to shop at Rockaway, especially at Christmas time. Even though the Christmas season is probably when they are working the longest days, the employees are kind and helpful. An example: my toddler lost his shoe and all of the associates went out of their way to scour the garden center to help us find it! We almost always attend the tree lighting ceremony the Friday after Thanksgiving. That s the night you can most tell what a family tradition Rockaway is.

We love Rockaway. Weve been generally happy with our purchases. Last Christmas Season we bought a Concolor Christmas tree. We were very satisfied with it and received my a y compliments on its fullness and shape. So this year we bought another but this time were not nearly as pleased with it. From the time we purchased it until we got it placed in our home the tree kept dropping needles. We think this was owed in great part to the young man who sold us the tree wrapping it in some kind of net material that was hard on the trees needles causing a great amount of them to fall off when we cut off the net material. Now we have to sweep and vacuum daily because the tree sheds continuously. Were now considering the purchase of an artificial tree next year. Jerry Flakus

Rockaway is great and weve loved the new yard and irrigation system. BUT, Rockaway wouldnt be nearly as good without DAVID HOLLOWAY. David was the point person for us and went WAY above and beyond. From designing, advising, and actually stopping back by later to make sure everything was ok. He even took money out of his pocket to get my wife an extra couple of flowering plants that he thought she might like, and sprayed for weeds because he was tired of seeing me not do it! I cant say enough about David, and his kindness and professionalism. Again, Rockaway is great...but if DAVID HOLLOWAY ever leaves...make sure you follow him wherever he goes!

I was extremely happy with Rockaway. We were selling our home and wanted to see about getting some landscaping to create more privacy and make our house more appealing. I called them for an estimate and David Holloway came right out and provided a full, professional landscaping plan and estimate for a very reasonable rate that could not possibly have covered his time. As we were intent on moving, we only wanted to address one portion of our yard, so asked David if we could just implement part of the plan. He said, Of course! and requited us for just the part we wanted, again at a terrific price. He then scheduled and installed it quickly, with no issues. To top it off, he sent out an irrigation specialist to help with the install. While doing his work, the specialist pointed out several issues with the system (that I knew existed and wanted to take care of). He gave me a great price on the spot to repair everything and fixed it all. Id recommend Rockaway to anyone. Great service, for prices and a company you can trust.

What a great place to shop. Everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful. My experience couldnt have been better. Not really knowing what I want an employee named Trisha came over to help me. There wasnt anything that this woman didnt know and she had a true desire to make the shopping experience one of the best.

A hidden gem of Jacksonville Beach. We had Melissa- one of the designers do a layout for us for our front yard and she was invaluable with suggestions and hands on experience with the plants that she suggested. Initially planned on planting everything myself but they offer installation services at a very fair price and even include fertilizer and soil amendments.
