I ve used LawnStarter for almost 2 years and they ve always been excellent and reliable! They go above and beyond dodging many of my kids toys and shoes sometimes left outside.

Its a no-brainer. Once you set up the service you want, its happens every two weeks or whatever frequency you want. A side from mowing, they offer other services from aeratation and over seeding to weeding your flower beds. No equipment to clean and maintain, you dont even have to be at home while theyre mowing your yard.

Makes it very easy for me and my lawn looks great! Also easy to add one off projects like leaf removal and gutter cleaning!

It took me a few days to commit to trying LawnStarter and once I did I kinda was kicking myself for waiting so long. NIckolas has been doing a great job on our lawn.

Just terrible, explained what needed to be done and it was agreed upon. Scheduled a day and time 2 days in advance to have the work done. The one of their pros decided he didnt want to work my property and canceled the job. When I called to inquire I got a bunch of mushmouth excuses, no manager was available then was told they would try to get someone back out there with no guarantee they wouldnt cancel the job. So unprofessional must be nice to work at a place where you can refuse to do your job and the company covers for them.

Datrick does a great job on my lawn particularly the edging which I was never able to do. As mowing has become physically harder for me, Lawnstarter really stepped in and helped me so much.

LawnStarter is a great service. Ive only used the lawn mowing service but have been using it for 2 years. Any issue that has arisen (all small) has been immediately rectified and I greatly appreciated that. My current mowers - Rosas Team - has been great. Always punctual and if they do need to reschedule due to rain or life they always let me know and on top of it all the work is always excellent.

I ordered service on Wednesday and had an appointment booked for Friday. The contractor missed the appointment with no call. I call LawnStarter Friday night and the offered to rebook me with a contractor who wouldn t be able to come until Sunday. Unfortunately that didn t work because I m hosting an event on Saturday. I called the contractor directly after LawnStarter had no plausible solution. The company apologized stating that their team had ran off schedule . (Even though I was never notified and had to reach out to them) I called back the next morning to confirm an ETA and and the person who answered the phone answered as if I was calling a personal line. Hello, Hello. Acting as if they couldn t hear me while I ask about my lawn service. I called back and received no answer. This was going to be my 1st service with Lawnstarter. They obviously need to get their contractors better because now I am uninterested and will be canceling my membership.

Erica and her team is very professional and hard working. My yard looks amazing! It s cut how I like it and edged well. I love how it s scheduled so I never have to worry about reaching out to have it done. I highly recommend Erica and her crew!!

If I could give zero I would. First impression, they say that if I post on next door I get a 20$ credit. After posting they said that I only get the credit if someone clicks the link and using their services ( bait & switch). That was no where in the description. (Pictures attached). Then after the first mow, they rescheduled on us 4 times, meaning they didnt come out for over a month. They wouldnt/wont let me cancel and find a different company because of a 3 cut minimum. Then when I looked back they deleted some of the rescheduling from the app to make themselves look better, but I took screenshots before hand based on how stretchy there were being. I demanded they cancel my services if they did not show up by Sept 28th, but when they rescheduled on the 28th (...again), they removed the reschedule so they can say it was never rescheduled...but again I have screenshots. Then today on Sept 30th (over 1 month from the 1st mow), they finally showed up. They charged me a 26$ long grass fee. This is crazy. So you dont show up for a month, refuse to let me cancel and find someone else, and have the balls to charge me a long grass fee. What did you think was going to happen when you dont show up for a month? All pictures and proof attached. Avoid them at all costs. And even after all of this, I still cannot cancel because I have not reached the 3 service minimum. Sketchy, pathetic business practices.

We had a three mowing contract. The first guy was great. Second guy mowed the grass to low after I requested he not do that. Result brown patches . Third mow didnt happen . Contacted them several times to come mow lawn . The final call they said it had been done on Sept 25th and sent us pictures. The pictures were of a previous mowing . I dont think in 5 days the grass on my property would grow 14 inches. Dont use this company.

They ve been overcharging me for months. I was only getting my front lawn mowed but they charged me for my front and back. No where on the bill or payment notification does it state what you re paying for. The only way to find out is to call. When I explained that the invoice doesn t state what service was completed they told me I should know. And when I explained that bills typically give a breakdown, I was told that a restaurant doesn t show the charge for lettuce on a burger. I explained that lettuce is free where I was being charged for a service I didn t get. They were not willing to take ownership of not accurately informing their customers of what services were being billed. On top of that, they are ok with their people charging for services that were not completed.

HORRIBLE - DO NOT HIRE. I signed up for their service (for 1x a month) starting back in August (I m in East Atlanta). They give you a 2day window for when they ll arrive and don t ask if those days work for you in advance. Then, they don t call, email or message you when they are arriving and/or not going to make it. My first appointment they didn t show so I called and messaged them and they said they had to push me out a few days. I had company that weekend and said that wasn t going to work so somehow they made it happen the same day I called. Service was just OK. Then when it came to my service this past month, I was given another 2day window that honestly didn t work for me but I kept it anyways (I have to be home to let them in as my backyard is only accessible through my garage and back room), and I called on day 2 of the 2day window and they said my service had already been complete. I had been home all day and told them that wasn t the case. It took me having to send them proof from my exterior cameras for them to finally agree to refund me. They were 0 for 2 for a new customer so I asked to cancel my service all together. They made it extremely difficult to do so but finally made it happen. Do not recommend working with them at all.

Im a provider for lawnstarter. They are very incompetent when it comes to this industry. They dont know how to measure lot sizes. They price competitively . First they give a rock bottom quote and then take 30% of the payout. They expect contractors to give high quality service for half of industry standard pricing. As a customer, be aware that the people who service your lawn through the app are most likely unequipped to handle the job in the first place and most of us are in such a rush to try and recoupe some semblance of profit that you wont get a quality service. For providers that work through this app, stop. All youre doing is hurting the industry and ultimately running yourself and business into bankruptcy. Nobody at this company has ever worked in landscaping or even manual labor a day in their life. They are computer coder and it people. Stop using this app and shut this garbage down. Addition- Well they doubled down on the willful stupidity today. I called in about a mis quoted property. The rep told me the price but couldnt tell me the property dimensions. How can you price a property without measuring its dimensions first? I asked this question several times and got the most ignorant response repeatedly. At this point Im positive this entire app is a scam and not one single person working there has any clue about how this industry is ran. There is a class action law suit being built against them. Think I might accept the invitation to join it.

This company has horrible customer service. They are charging me for work I didn t want, and the work( leaf removal) wasn t even done. I have tried to explain this to their customer service portal but I get the same vague automated Are you satisfied now response when nothing has changed. Now I must go to the bank and change my card number because it can t be removed from their site. Save yourself the pain. EDIT* After exhaustive communications and assurances that my account would be closed, I am still being charged for services I did not want or receive. I am now going to have to get my attorney, whom I already have retained for another issue, involved. I am disturbed by how much trouble this has caused me.

LawnStarter services are amazing and the app is really simple to use. Ive been a customer for only a week and Im already impressed by the hard work and dedication this company puts into their services. Also this business saved me from enduring a lot of back pain from this awesome rock work I just recently had done!....lol

Do not use. You never know who is servicing your yard and you never know if the services are really completed even when they say they are. Had the service for about two months. Each time I was told the services were completed; however, my backyard was not touched and I paid for it.

This company is TERRIBLE! I NEVER write reviews but Im trying to save people. They always find a reason to reschedule their date of service because of some pitiful excuse every time such as: 1. Their equipment is not working 2. They THINK it MIGHT rain (if it doesnt rain, they still wont come out) 3. Theyre running late so they just reschedule. And then when they do reschedule, its not for the next day. Its for two more weeks out!!! My grass hasnt been cut in a month because they rescheduled on me twice in a row. Its a jungle in my backyard now and I have a HOA. Dont waste your time.

I initially had a better review posted. Had the service for almost 4 years. Stay away from this place. Apparently whatever price they give you, they can just add on to it without even asking you. I personally suggest to everyone not do business with any company that can just add fees without even checking with you if you want it. They just force it on you. I guess I have just been lucky or possibly they have been robbing me the whole time and I just noticed now. Either way, you are 1000 percent better of dealing with a lawn company then dealing with this middle man that will tack on fees and perform services you wouldnt normally even agree to. Stay away, the convenience they claim to offer, you will pay dearly for. Get rid of the middle man and save yourselves from these thieves.

I joined lawnstarter thinking that because of their good reviews .they have to be legit! That WAS NOT the case in my situation. They said I had a scheduled service date of the 8-9 and I never received my service. I did get a message from 2 different companies saying they would be here at 2 different times. One on the 8th and one on the 9th. Neither one of those happened and both of those messages ended with .thank you for your service. Just a heads up .i have yet to get my lawn taking care of and I have had nothing but empty promises. I was taking care of my own lawn but work is so crazy in my industry that I never know when I ll be able to do it myself. That s why I first wanted the services in the first place. Hopefully I can find a reliable source to get my lawn care through, but lawnstarter does not seem like the one to go with.

They are a nightmare stay away. I booked them to come out and cut my yard. The first cut they never showed or called. The next day I get an email stating they are sorry but the pro that serviced my area doesnt anymore, but we are working on getting you another pro. I sent an email back stating I have hired another company to do my yard cancel my service. I then went into the app and canceled my service. The next day I received an email from one of their pros saying we are on our way to cut your yard. They showed up while I was at work and cut my yard. I called the company and wanted to know how their pro cut my yard on a account I closed. They told me I couldnt cancel my account because I signed up for 3 cuts. They told me once I receive my 3 cuts and pay them then I can cancel. I told them that they are not allowed on my property, the rep told me too bad we are coming two more times before my service will be canceled. What crazy is this, they can tell a home owner such a thing.

Im a single mom business owner with a home on a decent-sized lot - Im not interested in mowing my lawn myself after a long week. When I first signed up, it was hard to get someone to come out reliably. Now its been over a year since I re-subscribed and I can cheerfully recommend the service. It may take some time to get on a route if there arent many providers in your area, but once you do - its smooth sailing. Predictable and affordable basic lawn care that will keep your HOA from being upset with you.

I signed up for this service a few months ago and they have never came on time. Now the person has bailed on me with no notice and all I got was an email stating that they were finding me a new crew. This is not working.

I need to be contacted immediately by management. 2 weeks in a row service pro showed up at dusk (8:15pm) I made specific request after 1st mow woke up my kids when service provider was using blower in dark at 8:35 pm. I simply asked for service to be started no later than 7pm (still extremely late). Extremely disappointed that request was not honored or possibly not communicated to service pro. Please cancel my service subscription without charges.

I had a terrible experience with that company. The gentleman who was sent to service my property wasnt truthful. I paid for lawn mowing and leaf removal. He did a fine job mowing my lawn. When it was time for leaves, twigs, etc removal. He stated I needed to provide the baggage. When I told the service rep what he stated, I mentioned I wasnt told to provide bags by anyone. Thevrrp stated Maam provider of services provides bags & discards bags. I paid for that as well. He then stated he would return on Friday with bags to complete the job, This was on Tuesday 5/21/24 when he did the service! I waited until Friday when I didn t hear from him by noon, I reached out to him, and he said he was painting and he would call when he was on his way! I gave him until the end of the day still no word from him. I had bad experiences with contractors prior, so I now nip it in the bud quickly. I have no time for games especially if I am paying a fee. I feel he should have completed my job first since he had been paid & he stated the day when he would return. I called the company on Tuesday, Monday was a holiday to make a formal complaint and let them rectify the issue. Well, it took an additional 2 weeks of me calling and pleading my case. I finally was refunded for the incomplete leaf removal. This company needs to communicate with its customers once things dont go as planned. They need to find reliable people to handle business. I had no choice but to cancel future services since I wasnt being taken seriously! The customer service was mediocre at its best. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Finding the right LawnStarter provider took a while, but once I did, I decided to stick with him. Andrew of ATW Imbues, my current provider, is a gem. He is lovely to work with, very reliable, and does excellent work. I look forward to working with him next season. Update: Its a new season, and Andrew is back. Hes providing the same excellent service I have become used to. I highly recommend Andrew.

Worst service provider I took a biweekly plan with them and it s been almost 2 weeks and no one has showed up to trim my lawn I called customer service and they said they will get back to me but no response Very disappointed they have a 3 trim policy but I have not even got 1 service done super disappointed and will not recommend the service

DO NOT HIRE THEM - PLEASE READ My wife and I were scouting out places and she actually hired this company from her account on Thumbtack. We needed someone after our last Lawncare person moved away. I was excited she found someone, however that excitement quickly went away, because each time they cut the law it progressively got worse and worse. After three times of working with this company I decided to cancel their service. Their system and workers vary and is not as quality as they present themselves to be. They send a different crew each time, not the guy in the photo, and each crew works differently and not up to the same standard of the one before. This last crew cut my grass with equipment that seemed faulty because it kept starting and stopping, they didn t cut evenly and left parts of my grass higher than others or uncut all together, and they did not edge the yard. They also left the grass clippings and did not blow the clippings away. So I had grass clippings in my mulch, flowerbed, on my car, my porch, and in the street by my mailbox. Not the best when we have a strict HOA. The backyard and side yard was pretty much the same, especially near my back door. Needless to say I was not pleased with their service and I would say to anyone hire at your own risk because they are not as quality as they claim to be.

I spoke to a representative to set up a one time mowing, a service they advertise prominently on their website. The representative informed me they require a three cut minimum. That is some seriously deceptive marketing.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I am giving them a 1-star rating. They initially quoted me $20 for the first service (grass cutting) with a discount a month ago. However, they changed the date of the service to 4 days ahead, and it rained all 4 days. As a result, the grass grew. When the contractor came to my house to cut the grass, they never spoke to me but took pictures of the grass and deemed it too long. A specialist reviewed the photos and disagreed, saying it was not too long, and sent another contractor the following week. However, the same situation occurred. They then attempted to charge me an additional $150 for the service, which I declined. After contacting them again, they said I had a service scheduled for the next week, but no one showed up. This cycle continued for a month, with my grass continuing to grow and no one else reaching out. As a result, I have decided to cancel my services with them altogether. I have attached some photos of my grass that the contractors took saying it was too long. Ridiculous.

We started using them when we first moved it based off the good reviews and we had good experiences at the beginning with the first company (CJ) and team but when they switched over to someone else( Cricket mowing) we ve not had a good experience. No one has showed now for the last week to do our lawn care so we will be continuing elsewhere with our services. Good luck if you use lawn starter . Hope you have better experience then us.

LawnStarter (also does business under the name Lawn Love, though they dont disclose that theyre the same company) is basically Uber for lawn care. Seems like a good idea, but unfortunately LawnStarter is a massive let down. You can expect the following: * Cancellations with no notice * Rescheduling with no notice * Different crews every mow * Getting spammed for reviews, even when you havent had any service completed yet * Being charged DOUBLE for a long grass fee, when the long grass is because none of their crews actually show up as scheduled I used LawnStarter almost two years ago and was able to get a few decent services, but ultimately canceled because of how flaky their scheduling was. One might think that they would have improved in the years since then, but my most recent experience is somehow even worse: they have rotated me through two crews and I still have not gotten a single cut, and they have tried to charge me for a mow for which the crew never actually showed up. It can be a bit of a pain to find and work with a local lawn care service but if you care about consistency and folks showing up as scheduled, youre going to want to stay as far away from LawnStarter / Lawn Love as you possibly can.

AVOID LAWNSTARTER LIKE COVID! I booked them and their three mow contract and came home to burned grass and holes in my turf! I tried to connect with customer service they said it was damage and I needed to file a claim but the service I had no longer have the ability to do the claim even though it was less than 24 hours. Ryan the co owner left a message asking me to rate them, but refuse to reply to my concerns or my request to cancel them! Don t spend your money on this type of heartache company that s taking advantage of folks go ask a neighborhood kid to mow it you d probably get better service!

No stars these people have been giving the run around. We ve asked for one lawn to be cut not a big lawn at that. Excuses is all we got, canceled the service. 5 times a charm of excuses as to not be able to complete a simple job.

Fraudulent or really incompetent, not quite sure. I used them briefly last year (not thrilled with the service I did get) then cancelled service before moving in August. 7 months later I noticed on my credit card that they are charging me again but I ve had absolutely no contact from them about this, even though when I log in to their app it explicitly states to contact me before and after every service date (via text &email). Called them about this and they flat refused to consider refunding these charges or even admitting their mistake. Now I ve got to go through my cc company to get the money back. What a pain in the you-know-what. If I hadn t checked my cc statement carefully they would have presumably kept charging me for nothing without ever letting me know.

Classic bait and switch price scam through Thumbtack. My partner fully set up services for $29 a mow on a small yard. Confirmed for price and date of service when talking to LawnStarter customer service the first time. Then a couple days before the mow they increased the price to $49 and their only explanation is that they use Thumbtack to solicit customers but dont honor those prices. Find someone more trustworthy if you want quality lawn care!

I setup lawn care services to start immediately. They gave a service date. Then it changed to a four day window. Then the provider came and drove by my property and they made a determination that service wasnt needed and left and I was sent a skip service notice. Since I had an event planned the next day. I had to cut my lawn myself. They did the same thing two weeks later. Bottom line.... I need my lawn cut and trimmed every two weeks period. I dont need an evaluation by the service provide to determine if it need to be done. Anyone know of a reliable lawn service company in Covington, GA let me know. Lawnstarter doesnt appear be that company. I dont recommend their services at all. Very unreliable! Just a follow up. So I contacted customer service and that got me scheduled for this past Saturday April 20th. It was a beautiful day and the provider didnt show up. SMDH! Then the next morning when it was pouring down raining Andre contacts me to say he cant provide service today due to In Climate weather and rescheduling me to Thursday. Not Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday but Thursday. Sometimes you just gotta be done.

Being a remote worker, I am never disturbed by any means. These professionals just show up and do their job successfully. No interactions or face-to-face needed or encountered.
