Hagood Lawn care in Athens

I needed my lawn cut asap bc home was up for sale and would not accommodate at all. When did come out, left grass clippings one back porch, gate open with blocks that were placed under gate left out of place so dog could get out. Then when told of the situation he had no response.

Chris and his crew did a fantastic job cleaning up the yard of a home I recently sold to out-of-state buyers. I contacted Chris the day before my clients were set to arrive, and he promptly accommodated me in his schedule, ensuring the yard was ready to welcome the new owners home. I highly recommend Chris and his crew!

The work was well done and very professionally kept a very good company to have a do your lawn would recommend them I am going to use the company again they were very kind and respectful thank you hagood lawn service for a job well kept and done

They were hired to install irrigation and lay sod after we had a pool installed. When we contacted them about some concerns with the irrigation install (sprinkler heads not spraying at all, sprinklers spraying directly on the fence, etc) we were told they would charge us a service fee to come look at it. It was their work that was incomplete and they wanted to charge us even more to do the job correctly. We had another company come out and it’s going to cost us $3,000 to fix what Hagood did to our yard. 😡 Then we were blocked on FB when my husband didn’t give them a 5 star review. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

Had Hagood redo two sprinkler zones, grade slope, and lay sod. 100% do not recommend for irrigation work! Poor head placement, water application to lawn not efficient, redundant spray in some areas, and no spray in others. Heads spraying over fence, on fence, in pool, on house,on furniture , on concrete, etc. Came out to “adjust” heads 1 or 2 times, but final result still completely unacceptable. Going to have to get an irrigation company to fix it for another $3,000+ Owner, Chris Hagood, was very argumentative when issues pointed out. Wanted to charge a service fee to just come back out. Did not offer, apologies, refund, or to attempt to fix the obvious issues. Did cash the check though. Feel robbed. Maybe ok for landscaping. Stay far away for irrigation. Photo pretty much says it all.

Had appointment with this service to cut yard, owner was told have a dog in my back yard, I would be off to hold the dog while it was being cut. I was placed on the schedule on the day he is already in subdivision. He gets to the door, after waiting another week, says he can't work around schedule for some reason and leaves...very unprofessional and overpriced too...call someone else

Called this guy and asked if he would mow for us . He said no we are only doing landscaping and mowing, which I thought would be great to get around the house landscaped but he didn’t want to ask or try to help . I would have hired them just to get this all done but we are in the south. Worthless lazy contractors not worth our time sir

I was hopeful when Chris came out so quickly to give me an estimate. He agreed to come by to mow, edge, and weed eat on Tuesday. I was out of town (someone was housesitting) so I left payment in a place we had agreed on. He never showed and didn’t call until the next day. He told me he forgot and he would come on Thursday instead. He called to say it had been raining and wasn’t able to make it and would try again on Friday. He never came out and I still haven’t heard from him! I had hoped to come home from vacation with a freshly cut yard but instead it looks like a jungle. Very disappointed. Zero stars.
