Found Rick through the yellow pages and he answered my call same day. I was on a time crunch and he was able to fit me in a week earlier than expected which worked out amazing. Him and his crew were punctual and orderly. They got the job done in one day; fast, clean, and efficient. Thank you Rick and crew!

I have had Rick Armet do several projects at our beautiful home. Armet’s team has done pavers, artificial grass, scrape the weeds on a 75 yard long gravel parking area, plant beautiful roses, install irrigation, re-do the pool calking , stain and seal our pool deck and landscape our front and backyard yard. Over the years that we have worked with Armet’s they have all been courteous, on time, cleaned up nicely, and all projects have been completed to more than our expectations. I recommend them without reservation.
I spent 80k on landscaping with Rick. It was a huge mistake. i had to replace sinking pavers, drip lines, sprinklers and have plumbing fixed going from the street into the house and sprinkler system all because of blatantly incorrect installation. Plants went in without amendment and holes that barely fit the root ball causing many to die or have stunted growth. They placed all two gallon emitters and didn't consider the type of plant or area that it was planted in. They placed the irrigation box above ground without asking me and then said it was too late to change it. They placed the fire pit key for the gas valve in the area the flames come out of. Rick told me it was too difficult to drill a hole in the blocks for the fire pit to put the valve in, but when i had another landscaper look at it they laughed at that explanation. He left exposed PVC in the sun without wrapping it. They cut posts for a planter and planted them in the ground cut side down meaning untreated so they would rot. The only way I figured that out was when we temporarily had to move them. Even his employees were difficult. I watched one of them try to straighten a nail on my cement sidewalk with a hammer. He got upset and later called me names in Spanish thinking I didn't understand. I waited over a year to write this review. When I mentioned issues to another landscaper, they said they had spent time fixing issues caused by armets in the past. Every time I would ask Rick to fix something he would get so upset that I got tired of it and just paid him so we could move on. He even tried to tell my neighbor he would charge them less and asked them not to tell me.
Our experience with Armet's Landscaping exceeded our expectations, from the first meet n greet to the final day of installation. They did an absolutely amazing job. So much so that we added a side yard to the full front yard landscaping! So glad we went with Rick and Armet's Landscaping.
We hired Armet Landscaping to perform a makeover on a portion of our property. I was hoping for some nice spaced plants with a variety of textures, colors and heights, however, what I got was very lackluster, un-imaginative and poor quality plants. Since we paid him in the near $10,000 range, we expected something for that value, however, it was way, way, way below expectations. He was going to leave some rotted old boards because he didn't want to grade the area around the boards, but luckily I had email proof that removing the old boards was part of the deal. I really had to work to get even semi-close to the value we paid. We were new to the area and should have asked around before choosing Armet. I understand now that the name isn't all that respected in the landscaping community. Now, in the summer after the "re-model" some of the very weak plants have revived, but 1/2 are just sick little twigs. Definitely NOT worth the money we paid.
Armet constructed a paver patio for me without a proper foundation. Then, in another job, with the promise to fix the patio afterwards, drove a 6000 pound tractor over the patio. When the patio damage showed up after several years, in court, Armet made up a story that the damage was due to rotting tree roots. Seek any other company for your landscape needs.
If I could leave 10 stars for, A Team Fencing/Armet's Landscaping, I would. We had 200ft of wood fencing damaged in storms. I called, and within 3 days the owner, Rick, came out to survey and had presented a written bid. Not only was pricing fair, but he was able to do the job around my very busy schedule. His fencing and painting crews were punctual, professional, polite, detail oriented, and completed the job exactly when Rick said they would. The fence is sturdy, level and straight. They hauled away the old fence, and didn't leave one scrap of wood or debris. I can't imagine a project going any smoother. We're happy, and will be calling Rick Armet for all our future landscaping and fencing needs. Highly recommended.
Synthetic grass and work done was great. However, my contract was for a 15 x 19 foot plot of synthetic grass, what I got was a 15 x 18 4 plot of synthetic grass. The only resolve I got from the company was they would shore up the area to fit the plot of synthetic grass they provided to me. They gave me a $60 discount on my $3000 bill, seems a bit lacking for not upholding to our contract, thus leaving my yard a bit uneven as its not to the dimensions it should have been. Not sure I can recommend the company. The men who showed up to do the work penciled out the contract dimensions & said that is what I ordered. When I pulled out my copy of the contract they changed their story.
I live way out here in Heritage Ranch and needed a lot of some really invasive cactus removed. They were very responsive, great customer service, and fair on price, would definitely recommend to friends! Thank you Rick & Team!
Ricks company is amazing. He was very responsive to all our questions and he and his employees did a wonderful job designing and planting our front, back and side yard. In fact, we are hiring him again to do additional work!
I recently moved to Los Osos and my neighbor and I were in need of a new retaining wall and fence. Rick answered our call immediately and his communication throughout the project was wonderful! He was also very helpful in answering all of my questions and giving suggestions for our project. His staff that worked on the projects we re polite, prompt, efficient, responsible, and left the outside of my home (and their work area) impeccably clean. They took pride in their work and we re true craftsmen. I highly recommend Armet s Landscaping, Inc. for your home landscaping and repair needs!
Men couldnt put in 3 railings correctly even after 3 visits trying. Owner did not acknowledge that the parts were not coming together correctly. The owner seldom supervised the job and then asked me to walk my own property to see if any more work needed to be done based on our contract. What a nightmare!
Call Rick Armet and schedule a bid for your landscaping project--you will not be sorry!! Rick is professional, experienced, friendly, polite, and knows his stuff like nobody else out there. We spent weeks calling almost every landscaping firm in San Luis Obispo county just trying to get an estimate scheduled for our front, back, and side yards. Let me save you a ton of time (and, ultimately, money) through my experience with trying to find the best possible landscaping contractor for our medium-sized job in Paso Robles. Contractor number one (I wont name names because its a small town) showed up on time, was super nice and knowledgeable, but never gave an actual bid after about ten promises that he was still working on it. Contractor number two was hours late for the initial appointment for an estimate, seemed to be exhausted and burned out, and gave a rough verbal estimate on the spot, without taking notes or measurements; hhhmmm, definitely a no. Landscaper number three had years of experience, came across as friendly and professional, and followed up in a timely manner with what seemed like a reasonable bid for the amount of work involved--we went with him, he took a large deposit (because we normally live out of town), worked for two days, then bailed. We are still in court trying to get our deposit back--if I am ever at liberty to publicly warn others about this unscrupulous person, I will, but cannot do so at this time due to pending litigation. Thanks to Yelp, we found Armets Landscaping, and Rick answered our voicemail the same day. He was early for our initial appointment for the estimate, understood what our end goals were for the overall layout and look for our project, and gave great ideas on what could and could not be done within our budget. He has years of established connections with all the best local landscape suppliers to get the best pricing possible, so his bid was very realistic and competitively priced for the amount of work we needed done. We were easily able to handle everything for our Paso Robles property by phone and email from out of town, with Rick checking in with us regularly to give us updates or ask us about specific details. Each trip to the property left us amazed with how well the progress was moving along. On one of our visits, we got to meet Ricks longtime hands-on crew leader and we honestly could not have been happier or more impressed with how seriously he took his job--plus it was clear that his crew of six (all very hard workers) respected him as well. All of the guys were nice, clean, respectful, incredibly hard working, and always left the job site clean at the end of each day, which our neighbors informed us about since we werent there--how great is that?!! All in all, if you have drainage, landscaping, fencing, driveway, walkway, retaining wall, and irrigation needs, we wholeheartedly recommend getting in touch with Armets Landscaping. Rick has large, hard-working crews, great on-site managers, tons of equipment, decades of experience ranging from small to large jobs, plus he listens to his customers and he stands by his word. Who could possibly ask for a better professional landscaping firm?! Also, our neighbors were all impressed with what a great job his team did in such a short amount of time for the amount of work involved. We know of two other families in our neighborhood that have since decided to go with Armets Landscaping as well, and they are equally happy. Thank you, Rick, for leading such a great team and taking such amazing care of all of your customers!
Armets did a great job! He stayed within our budget and was helpful with design. The rains and Holidays slowed him down, but in the end we got just what we wanted.
They did a good job on hardscape but around half the plants died in the first few months. They have a 1 year warranty which was not honored after multiple calls and emails. Was told they were dormant and would be fine. Over a year later they are still dead/dormant. Wont use again.
Decent price and their large team made for quick work.

I know they do good work but for 2 weeks I couldnt get them to come out and give me an estimate. They said they would but never called back. Went to another landscaper
They followed up, was on time and kept me informed. We did a bunch of work in our backyard, and it was done quickly, cleanly and efficiently.
