We are beginning our second annual contract for lawn maintenance with RJ Davis and we are very pleased.

This year will be our third year with RJ Davis doing all of our lawn care. They took 100% sod lawn that had been going downhill for awhile and helped really to restore it to great shape. Weeds were a big problem and have been brought under good control. They mow, mulch, take care of the irrigation, spray weed and fungus control, test the soil pH, etc. I never have to worry about anything, it just gets done. They are very reasonably priced, and they even offer a discount for paying the whole amount up front. Its just easy, and the lawn looks great!

R.J. Davis serviced my lawn last Fall. It amazed me that throughout the winter my lawn was the only green lawn on my street. I would highly recommend their services. Everyone was helpful, definitely left my property in better condition then when they arrived, and professional. Great value for the serves received.

We have been very pleased with the lawn care that we are receiving from R. J. Davis. We also use them for our irrigation maintenance a nd they do a great job.

They do all the landscaping in my neighborhood and several neighbors. The initial person said give it til fall to get green, mind you this was in late spring. I have been nothing but disappointed. I have more weeds now than ever and brown spots have formed in my yard that are now diseased. I have never had any issue until I began using them. Spend the extra money and get Virginia Green!

Poor customer service. Noticed they hadnt been out lately. Was told they didnt have any flags. I think they just didnt come and still charged me. Been with them almost 2 years and magically they didnt have my right phone number or email. Still havent heard from Owner or any type of management.

I have since changed my rating and review for this company. I have a ton of weeds growing in my yard and they wouldnt seed my whole yard even though I paid for that service. It can take a couple of days for someone to even call you back. Ive decided to shop around for a different company this year. Its a shame to see a company that did well go down hill so fast. Once again I have changed my rating and review for this company. The first year of service with them went well, but the second year did not. I prepaid for services that werent done. I canceled my service with them and verified there were no outstanding treatments or any kind of a balance (my service was prepaid). I received my latest credit card statement showing another charge from them. Now that Ive canceled their service, they have decided to charge me for price increases for service that was prepaid. Ive contacted my credit card company and denied the charge. I called them and got the run around about the additional charge because nobody in that company seems to know what is going on. Im so done with the poor excuse of a business and warn others to avoid them. There are reputable lawn care companies, but this isnt one of them.

We had hired RJ Davis for Yard work to trim bushes and mulch our yard last year in April before we sold our house. Now they claim we signed up for their yearly service and did work on a house that we dont own anymore, without setting up an appt and sent us a bill. When we called and talked to the manager, he was rude and asked that we pay the bill or they would send us to collections in 30 days.

Thrilled with R.J. Davis! We have the best lawn weve ever had in 32 years. It was the best decision we could have made. Well never use anyone else.

We are absolutely thrilled by the service that RJ Davis provided us. Our existing landscape was outdated with dying bushes and overgrown plants. They listened to what we wanted and and didn t nickel and dime us like other companies that gave us a quote. Vernon was so easy to work with and responded right away to any questions we had. The workers were professional and extremely hard working! This was an exceptional experience from start to end and we will use them for all future projects!

We hired R.J. Davis for two years and our lawn is terrible! We called and asked them to fix our half dead lawn, also asking to speak to a manager or owner however they had a someone call (who knows nothing about lawns) to only tell us they would give us an estimate for irrigation. We have had the rainiest summer since the 1970 s and we water constantly on dry weeks. If we needed irrigation to begin with then why did they aerate, compost, and seed twice? I would personally never provide a service I know would look bad for my business! They never told us irrigation would be necessary to have a great lawn. If you use this company don t expect them to stand behind their service! Such a disappointment and waste of money.

Jay Davis and the team at RJ Davis Lawn Care are professional and highly skilled at what they do. I have been on-site to many of their lawn care and landscaping projects and their work is impressive. They are very in tune with what it takes to make lawns look their best in the Richmond area.

Even though a friend of ours recommended RJ Davis Lawn Care to us, I still took the time to read their reviews. What I learned was more of their customers were pleased than not so I decided to give them a call. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we met Vernon, we knew our project was in good hands. Before starting, Vernon walked our property with the crew so everyone was on the same page. The crew of two was extremely hard working. Each day we could see unbelievable progress. When the project was completed we were thrilled. The results truly exceeded our expectations!!! In short, do yourself a favor and give RJ Davis Lawn Care a call. If your yard turns out like ours, you will be glad you did!!

Can never reach anyone when calling at amytime, my lawn looks horrible than it did when i started with this company, not even a year yet, backyard completely gone back to the way it look before, new weeds didnt have before, this company started my lawn over fall last year, paid apx 1000.00 for all new seeding and aeration and results as of now money and time wasted. Recommend dont use this company. Do your own research and carefully chose a landscape company. Read all bad reviews not just good reviews. In response to owner dont believe any of this as a legal suit may soon be issued to this company, first of all i spoke to owner in regards to removing the one star which he seems to be all about rather than service he was given a second chance to come out and inspect the front in which he failed to mention here how bad it turn out, he stated he has never come out to my property ever and after a second chance this owner did not come out as requested and sent an email stating i was no fit for his company and that i as a customer will be refused of all future service, this was a clear violation of extortion and now considering a law suit on this charge alone, AMONG THE BAD SERVICE GIVEN AS WELL, i have the email from owner sent to me and pics of the front yard this company claims they did and further they were given full access to front yard, Highly recommend do not do business with this company and feel they are not a fit to do business anywhere in the state of Virginia, license should be revoked, i have an attourney looking into this now, please review front lawn pics and email from owner attached. Noticed fellow customers now reporting tbis company as well, better business will be sent a formal letter. In conclusion as stated previously you can not ever reach this company by phone at anytime as well, owner tried to justify that this was i correct, the fact is i challenge ANYONE TO CALL THEIR NUMBER AND SEE FOR YOURSELVES. My yard front both sides and back look as it did before this company started their work on it in September of last year, and the owner was told also about reseeding becuse ir didnt turnout like it should being the company seeded late and they refused to come out until spring of this year and they half job the aeration and seeding as well and trying to tell me about needing a irragation which you dont need, old fasion sprinklers does tbe job just as good, the difference was the work that was not done, not something i refused to take about, NEVER AGAIN TRUST LANDSCAPE COMPANIES, DO YOUR HOMEWORK IN DOING A COMPLETE BACKGROUND CHECK ON THEM, DONT GO BY WHAT YOU SEE WITH ALL 5 STARS ALWAYS LOOK HEAD., The owner stated in reply that due to insufficient payments treatments were missed, that fact of the matter is you never know when your bill is due until they send you a past due invoice, and this results in them refusing to do work, this is horrinle practice and they were doing this to me constantly amoung me not anle to reach anyone as i have stated before. Legal action is being pursued at this time to see if i have a case and after spending over 1000.00 to this company and the way i have bern treated pics and email to prove i believe a case in the works. If you have been treated the same follow through as well. Owner i really dont care how you strongly disagree i am tbe customer its not the other way around its not about the stars what counts its all about customer service and your customet service is horrible as others have said in their reviews and as far as i am concerned as a customet you not only deserve 1 star but a -10 at that and legal action, esspecially exstortion is being looked into now. One of the best experiences I have had with a lawn care contractor. They are punctual every week, leave everything looking great and NEVER EVER double bill me or charge for services not done. Call them.

I chose RJ Davis after looking at services and quotes from several other companies. I ultimately felt most comfortable in their tailored approach to helping with my yard care needs. I have now been with RJ Davis for the last two years and have been very happy with their services. The front office staff is friendly and always responds quickly. Vernon does a great job with explaining recommendations and quotes. Their crews can take care of everything from weed/feed, mowing/trimming, to leaf removal. I haven t used them for any hardscape projects but hope to next year.
