We hired Nicholas and his crew to clear downed trees from our yard. They did about half of the promised work and hid limbs under small branches rather than carry them to the street as requested.

was completely stunned by the behavior of the workers on this crew and the lack of communication I received from the owner as well as the crew members. The lack of communication with the crew members I attributed to the lack of the ability to speak/understand each other's language. I was ok with that and knew I could communicate with gestures and single words. I did, however, make myself clear to the owner via text translated into Spanish. The first few times they mowed and weedeated for me and did a good job. I complemented them and sent them away with water as it was very hot. I complimented them to the owner via text. As time went on, however, I noticed the weedeating around my fence was not done well. I mentioned this more than once to the person I thought was the crew leader. I'm still not sure, but from my observations, he was not the crew leader, but just a member of the crew. When I asked them to do it correctly, all I got was a backward hand wave as they walked away. At one point this same person I referred to earlier decided it was ok to pick my peaches without asking. I watched him do it. I was calling to him to stop but he did not. He did apologize and gave me the peaches. This may not seem a big deal to some, but to me it was a very big deal because this was first year (out of seven) that it had produced edible peaches and I was waiting for them to ripen. I also watched them raid the peach tree (shaking one limb of the tree very hard in order to make peaches fall) on my neighbor's property and proceed to have a fight with the peaches. Additionally, they had to do a do-over at the back on my property. I had asked them to cut some weeds and debris very low to the ground at the beginning. I used gestures and single words and got a enthusiastic head nod, so I knew they knew what to do the first time. They cut it at their waist level. I told the crew member that this was not what I paid for and got no response. At my insistence, they did it correctly. The next week, they mowed my neighbor's yard but not mine. I became anxious because I knew I was next in line. I walked out on my front porch and gestured for them to mow my yard. Again, I just got the hand, palm-forward. No communication whatsoever. No prior notice that I'd been dropped. No one came to my door to tell me they were not mowing for me anymore. No one texted or called me to tell me I'd been dropped. Nothing. When I texted Nicholas to inquire, this is the response I received "They say you complen so much and that they take sow much time and don't make any money for", and that was all. No apology for the shoddy job they did, their behavior or asking me for a raise in cost. Just cut me loose with no warning. This company has very impressive advertising. Very professional-looking. They advertise professional workmanship, and world class service. I don't think so. Show less

We moved into our rental home in May. Nicholas Landscaping was already contracted to mow this large property. I have been sincerely impressed with their consistency and the quality of their work. I highly recommend them!

On April 23rd I hired this company to clean out rocks and gravel from construction crew and add top soil to the future shrub and flower beds. They were also supposed to grade and plant a lawn all at a cost of $4500. They did however, put in a dry rock bed for runoff water, which looks really good. In all honesty, it was the worst landscaping I've ever seen. Huge areas of the lawn has no grass almost 2 months later. I had to add a load of top soil and remove gravel from the beds to get anything to grow. Very disappointed with this service. I paid about $2000 too much.
