while the work contracted was completed, we cannot recommend this company. We contracted the work and paid the retainer in early July. The owner began clearing the work site and moved the plants we wanted to keep. After that the work stopped, partly due to rain conditions. There were several days of dry weather when some progress could be made and it was promised that the crew would arrive. There were a variety of excuses given why the work was not done. Finally in early September the job was completed. If the crew worked a full 8 hour day it could have been finished within a 2 week period. The men would arrive around 3:00 and work for approximately 5 hours. We finally have a wall that is 100 feet long and 3 feet high in places. If you are willing to deal with the stress of wondering when the job will be completed and willing to try and contact the owner for status it is your decision. Somewhat happy with the job being completed but not at all happy with the management of the job site and delivery of needed materials.

Had Greenscapes landscaping and retaining wall come out and fix my yard. It went from a run down yard to a yard that the family and I can go out and relax in. They was on time everyday and the employees was really nice and knowledgeable.

This is NOT a licensed landscaping co. We won a lawsuit and have an $11,000 judgement against Ryan Endres. Please do not hire this man. Look at the Better Business Bureaus complaints against him. That is the same way we were treated. He takes your money with 50% down at contract signing and then all you get is excuses and lies. Talks a good game but thats all it is talk.

I am very pleased with the service, price and quality of work of Greenscape s Landscaping. Ryan and his crew built some additional steps off a retaining wall that someone else had installed. The prior company did not build the steps down far enough and they would not come back to finish the job. In addition, the prior company had left piles of clay all over the lower part of my property. It was a mess clay was being tracked everywhere! After building the steps, Ryan leveled the entire site out, removed debris and spread pine straw over a large area. I wish I had had them complete the project from the start- it looks so much better now. In addition, they filled in the retaining wall with some nice garden soil to replace the clay. They also planted a huge Green Arborvitae tree for me and covered an additional large garden area with pine straw. The crew was hard working, cleaned up the area after themselves, they even stayed very late several evenings to finish the job on time. From the beginning, Greenscape s handled the project much more professionally than most contractors I have dealt with recently. Ryan came out to take a look at the job within a few days of me calling. He was able to provide a quote on the spot from his phone, which was then delivered to my email. Other contractors said they would get back to me, some never did, and others took weeks to respond. The price from Greenscape s was below the other quotes that I was provided from other contractors, in part because Ryan gave me a small discount for working in public service. As he explained, he supports teachers, military, and others who choose to work in public service. I appreciate that. After the quote was provided, they started work within the two week period he had promised. I have a lot of other landscaping projects planned and will definitely continue to use Greenscapes!

I am a builder and developer for affordable homes in Western NC, Greensacapes does all of my landscaping for my new construction homes and my personal home. This company is quick and knowledgeable which in our line of work is critical you will not go wrong on hiring Ryan.

Ryan did an excellent job on a retaining wall, stairs and some grading work to help with drainage in my yard. Would recommend and you get more than you pay for. You can tell he really enjoys his line of work!

We have a creek running through our property, over which the previous owners had built a concrete patio. Several heavy storms had washed away the supports under the patio. The patio had cracked and was deteriorating. In addition, the bank along the creek was eroding. Our goal was to repair the patio and create some kind of retaining wall along the creek. However, the back yard was also virtually unusable--it was hilly, spongy, and nothing grew but weeds. In other areas, several different kinds of paving and rock walls had been installed by previous owners, resulting in an unsightly hodge-podge as those areas wore down over the years. We had no idea about how to make the needed repairs or how to salvage the yard. In the first 15 minutes that he met with us, Ryan Endres gave us a vision for renovating the entire area. Using boulders, he built a retaining wall lining the length of the creek, and extended the wall along the two long sides of the yard. He then leveled the yard, removed the undergrowth, mulched the entire space, and added more rocks and plantings. We could never have envisioned this final result; it is far beyond our expectations. Although the job was begun later than we had expected, Greenscapes did complete the entire job in the 15 days Ryan had quoted. A special shout-out to the workers who laid the flagstone patios. They worked long days to complete the work, and their artistry is amazing. Ryan himself is a landscape artist, who can see possibilities and make them a reality.

Wow! These guys donated some services to me and I am amazed at the hard work they put in I would highly recommend them for all their services very friendly and always do a great job!

Here is my honest review of this company. First the good: The guys who did the work, worked very hard and did decent work. That s where the good ends. It took FOREVER for him to get started. I will admit that I delayed start one weekend because of family visiting. I signed a contract with them on October 6th. They didn t start work until the end of October. I was told that they would start on two different occasions and I rearranged my work schedule only for them to not show up. No call, no text, nothing. Oh and when they do start, it s after 10 or 11 when they get here. The last day of work was a Saturday and they told me they would be there at 9 or 10am to start. They didn t show up until 1pm!! So, I had to rearrange my schedule again to accommodate their lack of being able to tell time. I was also told that once work was done my house would be cleaned. The owner told me, it ll be so clean that I would want to hire his girlfriend to keep my house clean . It wasn t, I had to clean it after they left. I have pictures as well. Oh and when they were working they broke the sediment filter on my well so I had to have that replaced. The one worker even tried to fix it before they left and said I really don t want to leave you with a leak. Yeah, I bet you didn t it wasn t like that before you started work. Texted the owner about it ..crickets he has his money so he didn t care at that point. Lastly, I don t think he is licensed to do business. I looked up his company online for the state and his LLC is dissolved. Not sure if it s registered under any other name, but that s what I found. Bottom line, ok workmanship, but awful customer service, communication, and integrity. I won t be using them again. Beware.

My wife and I are very pleased with the transformation that Greenscapes helped us achieve in our backyard. What was once an overgrown slope is now a tiered mountain oasis thanks to the labor and creativity of Ryan and his crew. While it did take longer than we expected for the project to be finished (partially due to the pandemic), we were delighted by the outcome and would consider hiring Greenscapes again.

We had a very modest idea of changing our current fire pit area and utilizing stone with a small outdoor kitchen space. Ryan was able to provide a functional and aesthetic stone that complimented our home and yard. He gave us two separate functional spaces by adding some grading which ended up being much more attractive. It was also important to us to have the area look natural; not prefab and he more than delivered what we initially imagined. His vision and creativity resulted in a beautiful outdoor space for our friends and family. We would definitely recommend him for your next outdoor project.

I met with Ryan Endres of Greenscapes at our property on 26 February, 2019 with a specific goal in mind; to simply build a needed retaining wall. Ryan was receptive to my design concept and appreciated the limitation of my budget. We were off to a good start. After we amicably agreed on terms for the construction of the retaining wall, Ryan spent time sharing his thoughts on how to enhance our property. It was illuminating and exciting for me to visualize his ideas for building a patio and a much needed outside stair to the lower level. Ryan is a very creative problem solver with a good sense of aesthetic judgment. I was impressed with his solution for extending the lower level deck to support the new stair as well as make the traffic pattern much more direct to the lower level. The work crew members for Greenscapes are exceptionally knowledgeable, polite and informative when asked questions and very respectful of property concerns, such as removing shoes when inside the home. I recommend Ryan Endres of Greenscapes for any type of landscaping project. If you are patient with time lines and prefer a causal relationship with a handshake type of arrangement with a contractor, you will enjoy working with Ryan.

Ryan is an amazing landscaper and has exceptional ideas for your prodject. He listens to what you want and then creates a wonderful, natural masterpiece. We had a retainer wall built with boulders and out of the leftovers he created a wonderful walkway out our back door. He made me a beautiful stone sidewalk out front. It changed the entire look to my front yard. Everything he did is natural looking and flows with the property. Ryan and his crew have truly transformed our outdoor space,and stayed within our budget. Ryans crew is very polite and professional. They answer any questions you may have and clean up the work area every day. After getting several estimates Im glad I went with Ryan and his crew. I got a LOT MORE for my money and more quality work than I could have imagined. I couldnt be any happier with his work and I highly recommend Greenscapes Landscaping for any prodject you may have.

My husband and I were in a bind and we actually started to think we had no way of solving our retaining wall problem. We had around 50-60, 3,500 pound cement block that was 3 blocks high, around 7 , that needed to be removed, level, packed, moved back in place, pack with gravel, add fabric to the back side of the blocks. This wall needed fixed desperately because it s about 20 feet from our house and was going to fall, if that wall fell it would push all those blocks and dirt against our home. Ryan came out and gave us a quote , we wrote up a contract and signed the same day. It took him and his crew a couple weeks to start on the job, only because he had jobs he had to finish up before starting on ours. Once they started it took them 3 days to do the job. The next day it rained for 3 days, so glad it rained because we wanted to see if what they had done had stopped the mud from coming through the cracks and on to our concrete pad where we park our cars and in our back yard. SUCCESS!!! What they did had stopped all the mud from coming through. Not only did he do what he said he also leveled our back yard by raising it up with the left over dirt and he moved our shed to a better spot. Ryan did what he said he was going to do and he did an outstanding job! We couldn t be any happier with anyone else s work more than his. We would definitely recommend Greenscapes Landscaping & Retaining Walls. I don t think there is any job to big or too small for them. Thank you Ryan!

BEST WORK IVE SEEN IN THE AREA

After struggling to find a contractor that would take a small job, I found Ryan and his team. He came to my house promptly, listened to my issues [I am a part time resident and needed no maintenance], gave me some options, very good pricing and about 3 days later I had a beautiful new river rock garden with low maintenance shrubs for greenery. He was quick, did what he promised and cleaned up my property each day. I will absolutely hire him again.

All around tremendous experience from beginning to end. It seems my review is going to sound similar to many others and that is b/c Ryan and his crew continue to deliver consistent quality work. First and foremost, my wife and I were searching for someone to build a suitable retaining wall for our cabin. We had other projects in mind such as deck work and landscaping, but those werent a priority. So, I met with several contractors to get estimates and Ryan was the clear go-to for the job; without question. He and I hit it off right from the start, he listened to what I had to say, and what we were interested in doing. He made suggestions based off of his years of experience and his personal vision for the property. No one else did that; no one else that I met with added their personal role/touch to the property as though it were their home. To everyone else it was just another job. So, we talked it out and came to a handshake agreement (w/eventual contract) to complete the full spectrum of projects for an incredible price. He was below everyone else and all they were going to do was the retaining wall, not the additional deck work and landscaping that Ryan did!!! Throughout the job, he was responsive in every degree. Whenever we had questions, comments, or concerns he was always available and receptive. He transformed our property into a completely different home and getaway. We cannot be any happier or pleased with the outcome of his work and the craftsmanship of his crew. They didnt leave behind a mess or trash. The property is in better condition than when they started. Bottom line, he continued to go above and beyond what was expected and he always had our best interest in mind. I will close with one final comment. Ryan is a BIG supporter of our nations military. He understands the sacrifice being made by service members and he personally guaranteed that my wife and I would be absolutely blown away by the final product....and he was right; we are. Thank you Ryan and thank you to your crew!

I am quite satisfied with the work that Ryan and his crew did. They were a bit slow getting started but I wasn t in a rush. As a sign of appreciation, Ryan added some extra plants. The crew was polite and worked extremely hard. They would still be working at 8 pm in order to get the job done. I would have liked some weed control but the mulch is quite thick. There were 2 areas that needed attention. Ryan and his crew were quick to return to remedy the problem after payment was made. I greatly appreciate his professionalism and concern for doing a good job.

Greenscapes placed boulders in the hole left by a landslide. The hole was within 6 feet of my home and the deck was hanging. Although he suggested I replace the deck he wrote up a contract saying he would fix the problem with the deck. He set the deck legs in concrete which have now settled leaving the deck tilting.He secured the deck to the cinder block foundation which are now pulling the block from the foundation as the deck has settled. He did not put any mesh barrier in the dirt hole or add any gravel under it before putting the boulders in the bank and the soil under the deck is now eroding through the boulders. After $16,000 I am having to take the deck down, remove the bolts from the foundation and get a grader to add soil, mesh and a stacked wall because he did not prep the ground before he placed the boulders. This man knows how to place boulders but his faulty repair of the deck and erosion prevention is unsatisfactory and dangerous. Be Aware!

Amazing people! They had a Christmas tree give away for families in need. If it wasn t for them, we wouldn t be able to afford one. Blessings and thank you for supporting your community and those in need!

An unprofessional and dishonest business. There are plenty to choose from within the area, and customers should seek landscaping business elsewhere. Greenscapes lacks the integrity and honesty that is expected of a business.

Hired Ryan to lay sod in my small backyard. They leveled out the land and made it look better than I expected. They even used extra rocks from an old plantar to make it look nicer with a walkway. They did show up at odd hours, but did complete the job well

Dishonest. Makes excuses and lies about everything. We rented our commercial property to him in May 2017. Received 1 month rent and never saw another penny. Had to go to Small Claims court for Eviction and finally got him out in October 2017. Of course hell deny all this, so weve attached the initial court filing and the Eviction Notice posted to the door as proof. UPDATE (6/26/18)The owners response (EXCUSE) below falls apart with the fact that he expressed his desire to move in late June and said they would be out by July 5th. It took us 4 months to evict them. If they were so anxious to move, why did it take 4 months? Just more excuses and lies.

Great crew, exceptional work, and well definitely give them more work soon.
