My mid-season tech was Gaven; he arrived promptly (even a little early) for my scheduled service; Gaven asked me about any concerns and addressed all of my items professionally and comletely .. which involved coverage issues with a couple of older style sprinkler heads, that Gaven replaced; and he fine tuned my watering schedule to better maintain my lawn during these hot dry Colorado days and nights. Ask just for a consultation and had to wait 3 weeks. We recently went with a company that complete ruined our sprinkler system so we wanted to go with a local trusted company. We called Woodys and the woman answering the phone told us about the deposit. When we talked with her and told her we only wanted to see if someone could do the work we needed. We described on the phone in great detail what we need and the woman assured us that woodys would be able to do the job no problem. They took $110 deposit non-refundable. Brien came out and was extremely professional and helpful helped us fix a few things but not the main issue we need a consultation for he told us that we needed a plumber. We are disappointed because we just wanted a consult to see if they could help us but we were unable to get our deposit back. Since we were not able to get our deposit back we asked Brien if we could fix a few other issues and he very politely helped us. We are frustrated because we just wanted a quote.

Have used Woodys for a couple years. Responsive on the phone and in person, the techs are great. Knowledgeable, explain what they are doing, and make sure the work is done right.

Woody s has never failed me. My recent experience with Gaven was exceptional, and he sorted out our sprinkler issue quickly.

Paid to have Woody s come turn on our sprinkler system. Service guy was at the house for 5-10 minutes and they sent a bill. A few days later it was apparent that an entire zone had not been on/working since Woodys came to the house and charged us to turn it on. When we called Woody s they said they could get someone back to the house at $30 for every 15 minutes of work. The guy that came to the house to do the work even got in the phone and said I have a hard time believing I wouldn t have checked an entire zone. Here s the thing, the guy did fail to check all the zones and make sure they were working properly, charged us $115 and wouldn t make it right without charging us more $$$. Terrible customer service topped off with a rude response from the service guy himself. Paid this company to not do a simple job correctly will absolutely never hire them again!!

Woodys came out today and did a fantastic job. The crew was on-time, kind, and helpful. These guys will be my first stop from here on.

We ve been using Woody s for a few years now- always happy with their service! Technicians are always polite and take time to answer questions and offer advice.

We use Woodys Lawn Sprinkler for both of our homes. We use the yearly service plan. Yesterday they turned on the sprinklers and fixed a major break in the water line. You can hardly tell that they dug out and replaced the line. Today the turned on the sprinklers at the other house. They spotted and fixed a leak in the backflow valve along with a broken sprinkler head. Gavin and Josh are great. Thanks for being there.

I was able to schedule the service call only a few days out which I appreciate, most of these sprinkler people are like next available appointment is in 8 weeks. And the cost was very reasonable. Okay all, this is the start of a new season. Woodys is not the company you want to contract with, Mike (AKA CPTN. SHORTS) the owner still hasnt taken any effort to educate himself or his son or technicians in the proper ways of troubleshooting, repairing, correcting, even installing irrigation systems. If anyone has followed my reviews of Woodys and his company, I still havent heard word one from an attorney because I cant be held liable for stating the truth(s). I have worked for this liar and know how he does things that the general public or potential customers dont. I just want to let everyone know the truth and warn anyone considering contracting with this company what to expect. ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS are 100% accurate. If you look at the owners responses it is like he has crafted portions and saved them so he can just paste them because they are almost identical, sometimes you can almost picture the crazy angry person typing them out. Still no irrigation certifications held by Mr. Woods or his technicians. The owner has what I believe is a Greenco BMP certification that he exaggerates as a irrigation certification, its not. A real irrigation certification comes from the IA(Irrrrigation Association) or the ASSE or equivalent. Ask to see at least certification numbers related to to the irrigation field, I will put money on it that it cant be produced otherwise it would be part of his advertising. Now Mr. Woods ( AKA CPTN. SHORTS) usually responds with a personally vial response and unprofessional reply to my review or warning to the general public about himself or the quality of his companys compentcy. Any of you potential customers out there that might ignore my warnings about this company and their practices beware and be vigilant and keep an open eye. They do not follow industry standards that will come back to bite you that is why they are industry standards. When installing irrigation lines if you must run lines in the same trench there should be atleast a 6 separation between lines. For anyone that contracts with Woodys keep an eye out for this unprofessional practice to cut corners. There are so many deficiencies that this company practices it is almost unbelievable they are still in business, that there is no room to list them all here. Ask questions and get documentation before contracting this company and read the reviews and pay attention to the consistency of the negative ones. This last paragraph is for the owner (CPTN. SHORTS). Take some time and really educate yourself about your craft instead of being lazy and producing poor quality services. Your first step should be a management program that will help you with dealing with unsatisfied customers. Remember I worked for you and I have seen and repaired your techs faulty work and I will stand behind everything I have stated, that is why your attorneys or police threats towards me have gone no where, it is not a crime to state the truth. TO ALL BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY, my suggestion is to look else where and if you need ANY irrigation work contract with a company that has certified irrigation technicians that come out and properly diagnose your issues first. This is not the company to contract with if you need irrigation services, they more than likely will do more harm than good to your irrigation system that will cost you more down the road and turn your sprinkler system into a headache to deal with. Disappointed with the quality of service and attention to detail. Paid $110 for a winter blowout just to find my pipes burst open and still full of water. Did not drain past the backflow valve and ruined all three zones. Do not recommend and will not be back!

I have used Woodys numerous times and Mike Wood the owner is a true professional. He came out on time and offered a great price for the retaining wall on the front of my home. His workers showed up on time and they did an awesome job. They were very respectful and did not leave any mess. The office staff was also really nice because I talked with them a lot. When the job was done it looked fabulous and we were very happy with the results. We would highly recommend Woodys for any landscaping or irrigation job.

Just saw one of your drivers pull out of a gas station on Indiana Street in Arvada, causing me to slam on my breaks. The cars behind me werent so lucky, resulting in a car accident between the two vehicles behind me. The person in the Woodys car looked like they were wearing a hoodie of some sort and watched the accident happen and proceeded to drive off. I hope they can cut better than they can drive, but I sincerely doubt it. Edit two, response to the owner: Im glad your trucks are GPS tracked, so I know you can see that this review is genuine, and there was a driver on that road today. What baffles me about the reply is how you think I am trying to attack a local business as if he didnt quite literally cause a traffic accident. Perhaps you should give your drivers adequate training so the driver wont not see the traffic again. Also, if youre so worried about public opinion and reviews, you should proofread your responses. Good day to you, and hopefully, you can teach your drivers a valuable lesson, how to drive.

I scheduled with them to come out and dewinterize my sprinkler system. I paid upfront. They never came and I can t get a hold of them not really sure what to do.

I have been using Woodys for my sprinkler system service for a few years. At first they were reliable but I have found that has all changed. I paid ahead of time for spring start up. Had to wait a few weeks for my appointment. The gentleman showed up and said two stations were not working and he would either need to install a whole new system or rewire it and that would be a huge, long job. I rescheduled a new appointment but I was still not sure what the price would be. So I canceled. Found a great guy on the Nextdoor app. He came out and turned it on and found it working perfectly. I asked for a refund for them not turning on the system. Of course I have never heard back from the owner. I will say this company is dishonest and looking to scam the public.

Ive used this company for a couple of years, but today was different. I called to schedule winterization. After scheduling I was asked to pay 110 bucks up front for an appointment next month. I objected because I had always paid at time of service. It was explained to me that, even though I personally have never an issue, some accounts are hard to collect to they want the $$ up front. I objected. Then I was told that the person that answered the phone only answers the phone. It sounds like a Biden Gun Control strategy. One person does something wrong, punish everyone. I cancelled. I went with Hepp. They let me pay on the day of service. I felt like I was financing a company ....

We have had 3 awesome experiences with Woodys -- they dewinterized our sprinkler system, fixed a couple broken sprinkler heads for us, and winterized our sprinkler system. For our visit to our house, the work was completed quickly and with no issue. We have had 2 different technicians and they have both been responsive, helpful, and friendly. The cost for every service was reasonable and we are very happy with the work done by Woodys!

Just had Gaven come and blow out my sprinklers and I could not have had a better experience! He was knowledgeable, fast, and friendly! He answered any question I had, and showed me ways to protect my system in case I couldnt get it winterized in time. Wonderful experience, and will be using Woodys for any sprinkler issue I have moving forward

This is our second year with Woodys but the quality of their admin side of the business has decreased. The winterizing rate increased by $30 over a year. We had to pay $110 upfront and no refunds. The scheduling took over 2 weeks to get us in and between then a freeze came and we couldn t wait for our appointment (late oct). We switched our service to yard clean up, which was an additional $20 on top of the $110, scheduled for a week after our original appointment. They called to postpone 8 more days because of rain. The appointment was supposed to be today and our neighbor had her yard clean up service came, in the drizzle (not heavy pour). My neighbor s service even did partial of our yard for free. We normally do our own clean up but because of the no refund policy, we didn t want to lose out of what we paid ($130 is a lot). We can t leave our yard in its condition with the leaves for another week, we already waited a week for this yard clean appointment. So now we have to do additional work plus pay extra for something we don t need. We like to stick to the same company year to year as we really liked our technicians from last year so we returned this year but unfortunately there are other competitors with better policies. Correction edit: It was $85 for blowing out irrigation 2 years ago (2021). $95 in 2022. This year is $110 (2023). 2 years with this company because of their friendly technicians. The result of this years service, was a cancellation from the company and no refund.

Woodys is the BEST! Michael has created a terrific business, servicing the West side of town! They get my system up and running in the Spring, get it blown out and turned off in the Fall... his technicians are pleasant to deal with and professional on every level! Ive been using Woodys since about 2015, but over the last few years, they are going downhill. I scheduled a spring startup yesterday and the technician never showed up. I called to find out what happened and the office admin tried to blame me. Frustrated after waiting weeks for the appointment, I declined to reschedule and they had the audacity to send me an invoice for the missed service. Unbelievable. Edit: read that response from the owner carefully. That s all you need to know about how this business operates.

Stay away! Woodys in an unprofessional business with a hostile business owner. Do your research and look up BBB complaints, as well as Google reviews. Especially pay attention to how the business owner responds. Do not contact this company for an estimate of repairs. They will rescope an estimate of repairs to be a billable service after the fact. Theres been 3 BBB complaints for this deceptive trade practice. Buyer beware.

They came on an emergency call and repaired a sprinkler like quickly while we were out of state. I don t know what I would have done. No one else could get to me and they made it happen within the hour.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK!!! I have used Woodys for years for my sprinkler system needs including winterizing, spring turn-on, and modest repairs for the past 5 years. This past June, I had Woodys techs come out to add sprinkler heads to my existing lines. After they completed their work I ended up with water hammer in my system. Thinking it was plumbing related, I hired a plumber to come out and address the issue. The plumber added a pressure release valve and expansion tank to the inside plumbing of the sprinkler system, which did NOT fix any issues. I had Woodys come back out to assess the situation and had the owner come to take a look. He was very rude and suggested I had an illegitimate plumber out the first time and recommended I have another come out. I did that...only to have the second plumber concur that it was an outside sprinkler issue, of which he was not qualified to fix. At this point I had invested about $1,000 in this project from the initial work by Woodys and the 2 plumbers. After chasing Woodys for weeks to come back out and fix the problem - at their expense since their work caused the problem - I finally got a call from the owner at Woodys. He completely denied that his company and techs had any responsibility for my water hammer issues, despite the fact that there were no issues with my system prior to his teams work in June. After a verbal altercation and trying hold them responsible for the issues they caused, the owner continued to deny responsibility and to fix the issue. I cannot put it in large enough capitals...NEVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY WORK!!!

No muss, no fuss sprinkler blowout ,gave me a 4 hr window for when theyd be here and showed up towards the end of it but did make it.

Ive used Woodys for years (at my rental property). I called them this year to winterize the sprinkler system at my new home. The technician, Germain Cardenas, did not come inside and drain the water from the pipe. I called Woodys to ask if that was normal. The receptionist, September, stated it must be fine because Germain Cardenas is a senior technician. I checked the pipe myself and a half gallon of water came out once the valve was loosed--it would not have been fine! I called again and told September that the technician did not perform the service. She offered to have Germain Cardenas come back. I already drained the water myself (after she told me it should be fine). I didnt need a technician to come back. I called three times for a refund and September assured me the owner would call me back but he was out in the field. I never received a call back or a refund. I disputed the charge on my card. I wont use Woodys again if a senior technician doesnt do the job right and they wont address customer satisfaction. Do not recommend. Update: Owner did call me after this review was posted. While I appreciate the follow-up phone call, it did not fix the lack of communication or poor customer satisfaction with my experience and the owner was not willing to make it right. Though I do appreciate the follow-up phone call (finally).

Writing this review in hopes that future people dont get scammed by this company like we did. Just pick someone else this company will steal your money and threaten you. The way this owner runs his business should be illegal. Super happy I decided to book with Woody s after my neighbor recommended them. I appreciated the email/text alerts for my appointment and their professionalism all around. The tech (Gaven) was kind and very knowledgeable. Thank you for being respectful of my property and for doing a great job. I ll definitely use these guys again in the future.

I scheduled Woodys Lawn to come out and take a look at my broken sprinkler system to give me a diagnosis and estimate. We scheduled on Monday and they gave me the 1-5pm time block. I made sure I was working from home so I would be here. 5pm comes around and no one showed up or called. I called them the next day to see what happened and reschedule. The lady didnt have an explanation, but rescheduled me for Wednesday giving me the same 1-5pm time block. I plan my day so I am again working from home to meet the tech. 2pm rolls around and I call Woodys to get an ETA on the tech. She tells me Im next and I should expect a call in the next few minutes. I wait and never receive a call. Two back to back no call no shows really communicates a lack of respect for their customers time and business. EDIT: The owner did leave a message apologizing for the missed appointments. They have blown out my sprinklers in the past and done a good job so a 1 star does feel too low. Raising this to 3 stars.

Great company! Great Service! Have been using this company for years! Michael, the owner, has always been quick to respond to any needs we have had. Always professional! Have never had a problem. I was looking at my lawn today knowing I could rest easy that my system was blown out and all my pipes are safe from the freeze.

When we had our driveway repoured and expanded last summer, the contractors we hired butchered our sprinkler system. We ended up having Woodys come out to take a look at it. Not only were they able to repair the damage, but they set up a new control system at a good price. The system has worked great since and we couldnt be happier with it. The owner and technicians who came out were all respectful, professional, and fixed our system quickly and competently. 100% recommend.

Had Mike out to my house to turn my sprinkler system. Mike did a great job. He set up the clock and showed my how to make changes on the clock. I use Woodys because they employ people like Mike. Thanks Woodys. MHad a zone on my sprinkler that would not shut off and one that would not turn on. Called Woodys and made an appointment to have the problems fixed. Due to the time of the year I waited almost two weeks for the appointment. On the day of the appointment the technician, Jermain, called me to say he was about ten minutes away from my house. Jermain arrived at my home within ten minutes. He greeted me with a smile and a how can I help you. Told Jermain the problem and within minutes he figured out the problem. He quickly fixed the problem and the sprinklers work GREAT!!! Told Jermain I had waited two weeks for this appointment. Jermain told me he had been working 60 hour weeks to stay caught up. Not sure about you but if was working 60 hours a week, not sure I would be in a good mood. Jermain was awesome!!! Nice young man who smiled and had a amazing attitude. I would recommend Woodys and Jermain to anyone who is looking for a landscaping or spiraled repair. Not sure what they are paying Jermain,, it s not enough. Jermain is a credit to Woodys!!! I will be using Woodys exclusive for all of my landscaping and sprinkler needs!! Call and ask for Jermain!!!

I reached out to Woodys to get someone out to give us a quote on installing sprinklers on our 1/2 acre property in Arvada. I did a google search and they had really good google reviews. I originally called to make an appointment the last week of March 2021. I was told that they are super busy and they are booking 3 weeks out. The first available appointment they could give me was April 20th. As I completely understand being busy, I accepted the April 20th appointment and was satisfied to wait. Today, (April 19th) I received a voicemail that said, I was just giving you a call, we have an estimate scheduled with you tomorrow, however it looks like were going to get some weather. Please give us a call back and we can get you back on the schedule. I called back into the office to ask why I was going to be rescheduled. The front desk person advised that they do professional commercial snow removal and since the weather advises of a possible snow shower tomorrow, their quoting person would need to be on call to plow as needed. This was also understandable. However, when I asked when someone could get onsite to give me the quote, the front desk person advised they have no availability until May 2nd. When I asked if it doesnt snow, would they still be able to come by tomorrow, they said no. The fact that I had to wait 3 weeks before someone could get out is acceptable, but then to have my scheduled appointment canceled - thru no fault of my own - and not be able to squeeze me on the schedule for an additional 2 weeks: this is just not a company Im interested in giving my business. Their reviews on google may look good, but they apparently dont care about their customers.

Gaven was my technician to day and last week. He is wonderful and knowledgeable. I have been using their services for three years now and am very pleased with them. They are a wonderful company.

Please save yourself the disapointment and aggrivation of using this company. I scheduled an appointment with them to repair a lawn sprinkler issue. The appointment was scheduled; the technician showed up. Unfortunately, I was not at the property when he arrived. During our conversation, I was told the technician would need access to the home. I have subsequently found this to be a lie. All repairs could have been made without my being on the property or the technician gaining access to the home. However, this is not the end of the story. Later that day, I returned a call to their business. At that time, I was informed that an $85.00 cancellation fee would be charged. When I called the receptionist and told her that I was not informed of this fee, she told me the fee would increase by 20% in 72 hours. This was charged to me because I was not on the property. The repaired has been made by another company. They did not need access to the home to make the repair. I am deeply disapointed that I was lied to, regarding access to my home and angered that I am being charged $85.00 for not being where I did not need to be to complete the work. Please do not use this company. They are deceitful and do not provide accurate information regarding repairs. Most abhorrent is the fact that the receptionist hung up on me when I tried to clarify the charge.

Josh did an excellent job in getting my water turned back on for the sprinkler system and checking/repair sprinkler heads!! I will need a valve repaired for a return visit. It would be great to have Josh return if possible. Josh returned in the same week and fixed the valve, another sprinkler head and made sure all zones worked. Terrific job!!

Anthony and Tim came over to fix my broken sprinkler back flow valve. They were super professional and worked quickly. Even asked if I wanted to make some changes to our set up that may be more beneficial. I personally decided against it as we need to do some work, but I appreciate them recommending additional solutions. Fantastic team and I love working with woddy s. Have used them for sprinkler blow outs the last two years, and will be using them again this fall.

Did a great job at a reasonable price

This company gave me a quote over the phone and then charged more than expected. I have to say it took about 25 mins extra to find the irrigation box and dig it out. When I called the company to ask about the charges they were rude, told me it took two techs (one guy just stood around) and it would have taken twice as long if only one guy came out. They were not even willing to listen to my side of the story. The techs left an open hole at my irrigation boxes, took the homemade box constructed by the previous owner and dumped the soil that was supposed to go on top somewhere in the yard? I wont be using this company again and I can not recommend them. Go with someone else.

Great Service! - I want to show some appreciation for the great service (winterization) that I received today. Patrick is a stand up guy, very professional, knowledgeable and personable. I give him 5/5 stars and will definitely hire Woodys again for all my sprinkler service needs.

Patrick was my tech today and he was absolutely awesome he came out originally was a little worried about doing a Blow out for our auto fill for our pool but he figured it out and was incredibly professional We also shared a few laughs :)

I have had Woodys take care of my sprinkler system for a few years now, super responsive and communicative. I had a major issue over the summer with a leak caused by tree roots, Michael and an associate came out and fixed it and explained how they rerouted my lines to avoid future issues. He just came out to winterize my system, and Michael explained everything Id need to know to get back up and running in the spring without a service call. I have a lot of confidence in Woodys and will continue to use their services as I need them.

Just had the sprinklers blown out for the first time with this company and Anthony was great, professional and super nice. The only strange thing was there was a $5 credit card fee applied, which was never disclosed upon calling, and I found it even more strange that this was processed via phone. Not sure if the value was worth it but great service!

Had a technician come to the house to service my sprinkler system just to tell me that he couldnt touch the system as it wasnt up to code but still charged the $100 call out fee. I asked him to at least change a few sprinkler heads but he said hes unable to work on any component of my sprinkler then quoted upwards of $5000 to have the entire system replaced.

Had used this service for over 2 years. Recently had my sprinklers blown out and my invoice went to my spam folder. After recieving a reminder phone call after 30 days I promptly paid. A week later I received a letter stating their intent to place a lien against my property for the $120 service ticket. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for service unless you want to worry about legal action over an email getting sent to spam. I will not be using Woody s again. EDIT: In response to Mike s response below. It s obvious this organization is out of touch, desperate and could care less about customer service. Potential clients beware.

Thought I had a sprinkler issue and they helped me realize it was actually a plumbing pressure issue from inside the house, helped solve the problem. Very grateful. Good team, when I called in they knew just the person to send to help diagnose the issue

I feel for Heidi Tietjens customer service experience. Woodys was doing maintenance across the street in Westbrook. I walked up and asked more about their service and he told me he couldnt help, call the office. I wont be calling their office. I understand busy, but 5 minutes to talk? Maybe its policy not to talk to potential clients. One star for customer experience. Edit: I read company response and I hear lots of excuses and I didnt even do business with them. I stand by my review of the interaction with their employee.

Had a leak outside the house. Called and got an appointment. 12-2 they said. Surprisingly the guy shows up exactly at 12. Digs down to the problem and fixes the broken coupling in no time at all. After he was done I had some questions about the sprinkler timings and he helped me figure out the set up no cost. Total cost for the fix was super reasonable. Germain was professional, helpful, and friendly. I guess some other people had a bad experience but Im really happy I called Woodys. Maybe I just got lucky with Germain. Either way, 5 stars.

I will recommend Woodys to everyone!! They did an incredible job on my yard. His crew was friendly and professional. Showed up on time and was very considerate of my neighbors. My neighbors are very impressed with the job they did and want to use them in the future. I will be using them for any future jobs.

This company has nice people but after over 2 years of working with them and several thousand dollars of work on the same issue, I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of competence, problem solving and communication.

Woodys repaired my system in a very timely and efficient manner. They were easy to contact and to work with. The technician was very knowledgeable and did a great job in a short timeframe. Woodys Sprinkler & Landscape Company is highly recommended.

If you want to be valued as a customer and treated and spoken to in a professional manner, I would advise you to look somewhere else for sprinkler service. We had reached out to Woodys due to previous high customer ratings to come look at our sprinkler system as we have just recently moved and wanted to get it started up for the summer. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experiences as those who rated this company 5 stars. We were dissatisfied with the quality and thoroughness of the work completed. We had to act as quality control as it was clear if we didnt point out the problem it wasnt going to get fixed, and even after all work was completed, we still have one broken sprinkler head, one sprinkler spraying our driveway, and one spraying inside our house. Update: It has been three weeks since the work has been done, and four of the six sprinkler heads that were fixed get stuck and dont come up or down on their own (see photos for the disappointing workmanship even though they really dont give it justice). If that wasnt enough, we then received an invoice (two days after the payment due date must I add) that charged us double on labor. We were caught off guard with an $800 bill, and we had to deal with it until the following day as we received the invoice after office hours. Now, my husband and I are pretty easy going people, both who have worked in the customer service industry and understand mistakes happen, but this was too much. We were able to easily remediate the extra charges, even though labor still costed more than we had initially planned. We then spoke with Mike Woods, the owner, to discuss some of our other concerns, and I was shocked by his lack of professionalism and customer service skills. He took ZERO responsibility and used excuses like we are very busy, mistakes happen, and started to question us about our knowledge and background of the industry. Mike treated us like we were dishonest about our experience and that his 40 years in business and the knowledge and training of his technicians discredited any of our concerns. He also reminded us that we were just a number to him as he assured us that his 10,000 other customers were satisfied and happy with the service he provided and told us we needed to find another sprinkler service business. I apologize for my unprofessionalism right now, but he was a total JERK. Like I said, its been three weeks, and I am still in awe by the way he talked to us, and I am surprised that he is still in business. This interaction is probably one I will never forget. Mike finally did agree to come look at the work, but considering his rudeness and his lack of ability to apologize, I was neither comfortable with him coming to our home nor okay with another possible bill from this company. There comes a time when one just needs to cut their losses and move on. It was clear that we would receive no monetary discount for the lack of quality or inconvenience, but at the very least, I would have had much more respect for Mike if he could have apologized. Im sorry, I understand your frustration, or I apologize for the inconvenience would have been better than nothing. Instead, he was full of excuses, disrespect, and told us to pay the bill and go our separate ways. We did pay the bill as we are honest people, AND we will most definitely go our separate ways. Its never too late to be nice to people... especially during times like these. Please support a company who will value you. Update: We had someone else come out and fix problems left by Woodys including replacing half the heads that we paid Woodys to fix. Avoid this company at all costs!!

I had heard positive things about Woodys and assume the company may be great to work with outside of the corona timeframe, but during corona (my only experience with them) I found customer service and professionalism somewhat lacking. I attribute this to them simply being too busy, based on various information I was provided by several of their staff. Id rather not provide more detail as I assume the work volume is the real problem and dont want to cause problems - I just hope to provide other potential customers a heads up if you have time to plan your work. They ultimately fixed my problem. I dont think their rates are unreasonable, but I think the work could have been performed more efficiently if they had more staff, which would have saved me money. I was informed that several other local sprinkler companies went out of business as a result of corona resulting in their significant work load increase; maybe there are unemployed local sprinkler techs that could be hired to help?

Tim and Gavin were excellent and very competent. They took the time to answer all of my questions and fixed everything required to get my system back to working order. We are repeat customers for sure. Great company.

I called Woodys to get a quote for our large sprinkler install and they scheduled me for a 10-2 time frame in which no one showed up or even called. I emailed them the next day to let them know and they apologized and asked if they could come out and try again. I said yes and they did it again. I wasted a full days worth of time off for them to not even show up and give me an estimate. Would never recommend These guys to anyone.

I cannot say enough good things about Woodys! I had a sprinkler system installed by a different company 3 years previously. It was not cheap and it never functioned correctly. That company disappeared and I had a mess on my hands. Two other companies told me it would require complete replacement at greater cost than the original system. Woodys came out and went through the whole system, replacing heads and doing a little relocating but at much lower cost. Do yourself a favor and just start-off using the local company that has been around and will be around for a long time. Woodys.

Tims service was excellent. Not only did he analyze how to irrigate the parts of my lawn that needed additional water, he discovered and corrected a problem from a previous owner. Overall very satisfied.

Woodys was very accommodating when I had to cancel my appointment. The customer service rep was very kind and helpful. Their flexibility is the reason why I will use their service again in the future. Thank you.

We booked Woody s recently as we were prepping for the winter months. They were super affordable and available on short notice when booking. We unfortunately had to cancel our appointment but completely missed the window of cancellation due to having our baby earlier than expected and being tied up in the hospital. Though we put them in a challenging spot with a hole in their busy schedule, they were very willing to work with us and talk through our unique situation. We thoroughly appreciate their kindness and will be booking their services in the future!

They re pretty pricey but they get the job done. My only quibble is that EVERY TIME I schedule service, they say your appointment is in the morning 8-12 or afternoon 12-4, then the confirmation comes thru with the opposite of what they tell you. When you work full time it s difficult to switch your schedule a day or two ahead of time. The timing has NEVER been correct. I have started just planning opposite of what they tell me.

Tim was super knowledgeable and very professional. Took care of my broken backflow preventer and winterization, and I feel completely confident that my yard is ready + irrigation system are properly prepped for the winter months.

First red flag was the parts cost of a Back Flow Preventer that can be purchased at a local hardware store for $100 or less. I was billed for $200 plus labor totaling to approximately $425. When I questioned Mike, the owner, about this he said it was his cost plus 15% markup. After arguing this to ad nauseum , I realized he was refusing to budge on this and I accepted it for as a cost of repair in hopes of getting a good deal on a full lawn service at a later time. The second red flag was when the BFP ruptured due to freezing with water in it. I scheduled a visit to review the damage and I was stood up with no a no call no show. I reached out to Woodys to get a reschedule and again I got a no call no show after being told I would hear from Mike. So the 3rd attempt was done via email which finally summoned a response from Mike, who wrote the following. The only way that freeze damage could occur is if the valve had been completely turned off after our tech left, therefore this is not warranty. None of the above was conveyed to me. I never received those techs notes and I was not aware of the potential damage to my BFP. Logically, if I was why would I accept that after it cost me $425 to replace the previous one that was ruptured? Additionally, if this was a possible outcome why wouldnt they make me sign something that accepts the possibility of damage? Bottom line, I would no longer do business with a company that charges over 200% markup on parts, and cant stand behind an installation that went wrong. Additionally, the unprofessionalism of a no call no show two times is unacceptable in any industry. $200 for an $80 BFP is a ripoff and I would advise against doing business with Woodys Lawn Sprinklers. 12/17 Update. In response to Mr. Woods responses: 1. Thats fair, If you are competitively priced. Then I advise all future customers to go to a hardware store and purchase any components for Woodys techs to install vs being overcharged based on his competitive pricing. Trust me you will save hundreds. For example, you can purchase a FEBCO 1 Vacuum breaker for $80 on Lowes website, his Competitive price was $200. 2. You are responsible for the failed component because your tech NEVER informed me of the potential for damage to the REPLACED BFP. Only the downstream components that were old and outdated and I agreed to take on that as a risk. I never agreed to take on the risk of the BFP failure. If I did, where is it in writing??? As any reputable service would want to void liability against something they advised not to do. 3. Although you are correct in that I received the notes stating the valves were at a 45 degrees, I NEVER touched them and the BFP still froze and ruptured. This was again, never mentioned to me as a possibility. What customer would agree to replace a $200 component that most definitely would fail if they were told in advance? Furthermore, what company would recommend replacing something that would most definitely fail? 4. You are 100% lying. I was absolutely not informed that you would not make YOUR scheduled appointment sir. So dont respond to this review with lies. I can appreciate that you have priority in certain weather events given the business that you are in . However, I was not informed and you need to accept that as a failure on your part. 5. I am sure you primarily do business successfully or else you would not be as reputable and not still be in business. However, in this case you failed your customer and I am just letting others know there is a probability of that happening to them. They can read this review and make their own informed decision. I have NOTHING to gain by criticizing local businesses, whereas you have everything to gain by lying on your responses on reviews to cover your tracks.

Mike, Thank you for commenting. This is just one example why I believe that rating you 1 star is appropriate. I am rating you on your professionalism among other things and I do have a right to do so. You certainly did not show up to an appointment that your office booked. We understand that your have other priorities in the winter but that should have been communicated up front or at least before the appointment or even before E.J. had to reach out to you. Then you lied on your Google review. We know that you cannot control mother nature, but why would you advise a customer to purchase a part if you knew that it had history of breaking? You then attacked E.J. saying it was his fault. You have costed us a lot of money and treated us poorly- ignoring emails, not showing up to appointments, lying to us in email and on Google reviews. Based on your behavior, I do stand by my rating and believe that you do not practice business in an ethical or professional manner.

Woodys is amazing. Responsive, professional, prompt and more than thorough. Their prices were great and they were very accommodating of our needs amid changing weather. They were very knowledgable and willing to explain the work they were doing. I absolutely recommend them and will be calling them for my future needs.

Woodys recently completed a small winter landscape project for me and I was very satisfied with their work and would definitely use them again! Specifically their prep work for the crushed gravel pathway and the do-it-right-the-first-time attitude! I greatly appreciated their hard work, suggestions, and overall excellent job!

Woody s has been servicing my sprinkler system for years now, and they always give me excellent service. For example, Greg Huerta came out today to fix a leaky sprinkler head and he knew exactly what the problem was, and fixed it quickly. He also checked out my system to make sure the rest of it was working well. He was pleasant, professional and has a lot of expertise. He also was very good at helping me understand what he was doing and how things work. Thank you Greg, and Woody s for your top notch service.

I had someone come out and give a quote for work in the $300-$400 range, so I scheduled an appointment for the work to be done. Come the day of service, they send out a single worker for quite a bit of work, and the worker actually has me help him by going under the house (crawlspace) to turn the water system back on. I oblige to save a little time, but the work he had already completed (soldering some new pipe sections) failed which caused him to have to redo all of that work while I stayed under the house (because its difficult to crawl all the way back there). This caused additional time to be charged, even though I was helping AND rework should not be charged to me - that was his mistake. Bill comes out to $523 in the end! I called to try and pay the max end of the quote they gave me but they only dropped it to $475... I paid it, but I wont be using them for anything else in the future and Ive recommended that none of my friends do either.

This is summer #2 in my house and last summer I had no idea what do with or how to use my sprinkler system and accidentally poked holes in one of the lines. Greg was awesome! He walked me step by step through everything, adjusted and replaced broken parts and repaired my busted line. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. It was fairly priced as well. Excellent service! Greg H. was very professional and helpful. He replaced our controller unit (new with WiFi), fixed several sprinkler heads and solenoids, and explained the nuances of our Rainbird system. And he did it all in a thunderstorm downpour. Had an appointment and no one showed up or called.

My house was built in 1889 so the main portion of the sprinkler system is a 130 year old irrigation system that used to be for an orchard. That being said, I couldnt for the life of me figure out how to blow the system out to keep it from cracking during the winter. I called and explained my situation to the receptionist and they had Greg, their specialist, come out and take a look. He and I worked together and he explained to me what needed to happen to get the system blown out and in under an hour he and I figured out how to do it. These guys are amazing and they charged me an incredibly fair price. With the amazing customer service that I received and special case of my very old house I would have been happy to pay twice that, so 5 stars to these guys. I will absolutely be calling them for any future sprinkler system needs that I have.

Woodys did the landscaping for our back yard. A new home, so we needed new sprinkler system, sod, and landscaping stone. We shipped the stone from the Springs and they were accommodating, efficient, and professional with the entire job. Our lawn is a year old now and it looks prefect. I have found working with them that they are honest, reasonable, and will do reliable work.

A star rating is a challenge. The crew that was here was good. The owner, less so. He was over an hour late getting to our appointment for a quote for service. That should have been my leading indicator of future issues. When he finally showed, we talked through the scope of work, but what was done is not what was discussed. Looking back, I should have asked for more details in writing. When I called to question what was being done (on the day of install) - he told me I was wrong, raised his voice to me and left me hanging with no options. He became upset quickly when I inquired about the scope of work and took no responsibility. His anger was disproportionate to my questions. He acted as if I was threatening to not pay - which I never did - I hold up my end of agreements. Mike (the owner), as he did in previous online responses to people who questioned his services, he fell back on the fact that hes been doing this 30 years - maybe its a few too many and hes lost sight of what good service looks like... I really couldnt be much more disappointed in what I paid for versus what I received. Does the system work? Yes. Will my grass get water? Yes. Will I work with them again? No. Mike is not a nice person. I went out of my way to use a small local business and am disappointed. He could have simply apologized for the misunderstanding when I contacted him instead of blame me - and I would not be writing this review. In response to Mike... it s easy to tell your side of a story and consistently tell customers they are wrong online when nothing can be debated. We did discuss, without question, that I wanted my system installed on the outside of the curbing. Grass or no grass - it wouldn t have matter had you done what we agreed to. There is no debate there. You are wrong. You did not apologize for taking an attitude with me. You are wrong. You did not apologize for the confusion. You are wrong. I did say there was nothing else I wanted to discuss because I was not ok with you yelling at me on the phone and giving me an excuse of being sick . I ve been sick at work and never yelled at anyone. And you re right... I didn t give every single detail of each interaction I had with you and your company - and neither did you. Like I said initially - maybe you have been successfully in business many years. Maybe it s a few too many. Maybe you do have many happy customers. I m not one of them. Yes, your crew did fine work with the poor details you provided them. I ve never even bothered to write any other single review about a company until now - you are that bad. I hope others can read your tone and attitude in your responses and think twice about giving you a shot. Mike... there are a few of indisputable facts. 1) Nobody besides you and I will ever know what was actually agreed to, but we both know. 2) I have NOTHING to gain by informing others of my experience. 3) you are willing to disparage your customer base instead of try to solve their problems. For someone who is a braggart about being in business for 30 years, I shouldn t have to tell you how to take care of your customers. You should be embarrassed.

After a botched sprinkler job several summers ago (by another company), I have been leaning on Woodys to correct the issues and they have been great! Today I had a gentleman named Greg come over and he was over the top helpful. Fixed the issues, but also adjusted every head, set the timer for optimal times/amounts for each zone, gave me information, all things that he didnt need to do. This company is fairly priced, offers great work and has solid employees. Highly recommend!

Woodys in the man in Landscaping!!!!!

Spectacularly expensive. 1/2 an hours work is apparently $140- I know there is a labor shortage in Denver and the trades are having fun charging whatever they feel like but, woah! At these prices, spending 20 minutes online learning how to do it yourself is absolutely worth it. For what I paid for the weatherization blow-out and this spring reactivation, I could have bought a high-capacity compressor and been good for years to come. Live and learn!

Greg from Woodys arrived at the time we scheduled and did a great job. He really knew what he was doing. Greg worked without stopping until my sprinkler system was working perfectly. I will use them again!

Greg and Christian came over and fixed multiple problem areas within our existing sprinkler system. Greg was especially helpful and knowledgeable-gave us a mini course on our irrigation system and how it functions. We are very pleased with the time spent adjusting the heads and troubleshooting the sprinklers.

Overpriced. At $128+ an hour for basic sprinkler line repairs, the main line is extremely extra. The crews were professional, but did do some coasting. However, owner Mike Wood pulled a gotcha when a job was un-quoted by NONE of the four people who consulted on the project. Tried to negotiate with him after receiving the OMG bill. He didnt care about paid previous work, keeping a client or even loosing referrals. Finally asked him point blank, Mike, is it about the money? he paused and replied, Yes, it is. Lost our business. Maybe this is why he isnt a repeat winner of the Best of Arvada award? Oh yeah, in Woodys world, you get to pay the hourly rate for the parts run too!

New homeowners and new to the area. The service we received from Woody s was great. Greg was prompt, polite and fast. The job was done in less time than I expected and was cheaper than I expected. Win-win. Will be calling again and recommending to friends/family.

We had three other landscape companies give us bids before we called Woodys. From the beginning we had a good feeling about them. Mostly because they listened to our ideas and incorporated them into the final plan. Then before we finalized the agreement Mike Woods twice came back to our house and went over some minor changes and helped us better understand the scope of the project including making sure the project would adhere to our HOA regulations. But the best thing was their employees - they were prompt, courteous, communicated very well and every day they would not only clean up our yard but would sweep the sidewalks and street where the material has been stored. I can tell you my wife is not easily impressed - but heres a huge thumbs up for Mike and his crew for a job well done ! I will (and have) recommended Woods Sprinkler and Landscape to others. I phoned Woodys and two days later I had an appointment! Jen in the office is wonderful. Friendly efficient professional. AJ the technician who came out was superb. He worked with me as I showed him the areas of concern was able to identify quickly what the issue was - buried sprinkler head, provided an assessment of the overall state of the system and coverage and a recommendation for a going forward plan. I couldnt be more pleased with the knowledge attention to detail and customer focus. Would highly recommend Woodys. They will be back for a follow up and for winterization.

I am giving them 3 stars for this reason: Their actual sprinkler blowout service is very good and deserves 5 stars but their customer service is very bad and deserves 1 star. We had scheduled a sprinkler blowout with them this year because they did it last year and did a good job. They sent us a postcard in mail so we called about 10 days ago and made an appt. In the meantime our neighbor offered to blow out our sprinklers for free so we were able to get it done. When we called to cancel our appointment the day before (24 hours before) we were told there was an $85 cancellation fee if we didnt cancel 72 hours before our appointment. This is more than the actual service would have cost! My husband does not remember being told this when we made the appointment. We were given nothing in writing stating this. I talked to the office manager and she said that she knows she told him. I said we werent paying this fee and she said that we are causing them to lose money and that she will put a note on our file saying we refused to pay in case we call next year. Obviously we wont be calling them or recommending them. The thing that this company doesnt get is that customers and referrals are their biggest asset. They shouldnt be treating customers in this manner. I am sorry we had to cancel the day before. but this $85 cancellation fee is ridiculous. We are both retired and saving this money is a big deal to us. I would think that all they have to do is call someone scheduled for next week and tell them they had a cancellation tomorrow and put someone into that slot. Because of this incident we will not be calling or recommending this company ever. So if you are thinking of using their service and have to cancel be sure to cancel at least 3 days before your appointment or be expected to be either pay $85 or be treated very rudely by their office manager.

My system was blown out for the winter (no call or email before arrival, so I wasn t home) and part of my system was damaged in the process. After calling to get someone back to fix what they damaged I was told they wouldn t have time to fix the damage. After multiple calls to get someone back to my home to fix what they damaged no one has been back, and no timeframe of when they will has been given. I would never recommend Woody s to anyone. The service was substandard, and the customer service has proven to be even worse.

I loved working with this company. Aj was quick and responsive. He even called me before they showed up and didnt keep me waiting all day. The work they did was phenomenal I would highly recommend them to everybody.

I have used these guys for the last 3 years. They show up on time, get the job done quickly, and i have never had a re-occurring problem on anything they have fixed. Also, working with Tammy in the office for scheduling and billing is better than i could have asked for.

I forgot to cancel my appointment with Woodys. They had notified me of the cancellation charge via email, but they sent me a letter and email emphasizing with bold font how my failure to cancel had cost them revenue. Unimpressed that they didnt try to win any more business from me, by trying to work with me. Paying the cancellation fee, and posting my review. Hopefully others will be more careful after reading this. Be careful working with Woodys. Penalties are steep.
