Unapologetically, never showed up to plow our neighborhood despite their contractual obligation.

I want to share this post with everyone who may need some landscaping work done, especially this time of the year. Red Oak landscaping is doing a fantastic job with our side-walk, steps, and the backyard. Tony, Cody, and Dan from Red Oak are very hard workers and so professional!

Red Oak has been treating my yard for several years - we have the best looking yard in the neighborhood! Theyve done numerous landscaping projects for us, too. We will continue to partner with Red Oak.

I had trees planted. Im very happy with the service and my new trees. Rich was very accommodating- he even honored a prior estimate. When I had concerns a few months later he responded quickly with just what I wanted to hear. I recommend this service.

While they may be cheaper than other options, the customer service for a correct initial install and any sort of follow-up service is quite disappointing. I will go elsewhere for future projects.

Not sure about their work but I dont recommend your employees driving around flicking people off in the company vehicle.

It s been about 2 weeks since I utilized their video submission service advertised on their website. No updates. Called a couple times. Today I called to ask if I could just get someone out since the process is taking so long so far. First appointment time is for another 2 weeks out. So about a month total just to have someone look at the job. I mentioned that it seems like an excessive amount of time and I was informed that they are scheduling into October. Honestly I don t know if they re having trouble finding labor, poorly managed scheduling, lack of materials, or what the problem is. But, I wonder how long they can sustain their business losing customers like this. My job was a simple front yard landscaping, could be done in one day, most likely for an exorbitant price that would happily pay. The person who answers the phone was very nice! I would advise anyone else looking for landscaping to consider supporting a smaller business.

Rich and his crew have been helping us for years, this summer our yard was over taken by weeds of all kinds. After a quick 10 min meeting with Rich, the crew cleaned up the whole yard and removed all the persistent weeds in 1 day! Always do a great job and willing to meet your needs easy to communicate with!

First, Id like to commend the two man crew - Daniel & Cory - who were incredibly quick and efficient in their work! Also, they were very nice and super easy to work with in regard to the scope of work. Very pleased with these guys! A bit pricey, but I think everything is these days. Responsive company and helpful!

I have used Red Oak a few times and they are professional , and provide quality work. I look forward to having them help with the next project

Daniel was the crew supervisor on our landscape project. He did a great job communicating plans and timeline throughout the entire process, answered any question and accommodated all our requests. Most importantly he showed up everyday with a positive attitude. We were very pleased with his quality of work and end results. Attached are some before and after pics.

We were very pleased with the work done by Red Oak Landscaping. They landscaped our front and back yards, installed exterior lighting front and back, and did a great job ripping out an old concrete patio and replacing it with a significantly larger patio using concrete pavers, seating walls, piers, and more. The company is very responsive. It was great dealing with Rich Stephens; it was also great working with his crew chief Daniel on our project.

Red Oak created professional landscaping in front of my house and increased my houses curb appeal by 100%. The company was great to work with and flexible with last minute changes. Rich created a great design and found blocks to match my shutters perfectly. Daniel, Corey, and Jose who did my install did a fantastic job that I have nothing but a glowing review for. They are hard working, on time, and super friendly -- they take great pride in their work and it shows. I would hire Red Oak again for another job without hesitation!

Rich and Red Oak responded very quickly to our need which was an emergency need as we were selling the house and had damaged areas in our yard and needed them cleaned up and made beautiful so that the house would show well. Rich and Red Oak were true lifesavers!

Coty and Corey were were excellent and worked so hard. Love my backyard now, andt will be calling those boys back for additional work.

Weve used Red Oak twice- once for a small job a couple of years ago at our South City home, and now for a much bigger job on our new place. They are busy, but able to get things done VERY rapidly once they start. Workers were very pleasant to interact with, and when any concern was brought up they immediately addressed it or called someone who could. Results- Fabulous. Next Spring our house is going to look SO great. Youll be hard pressed to find a better landscaper in the STL area.

Red Oak built the most beautiful fence Ive ever seen. So happy with their work; cant recommend more highly. Rich actually came back out to do a clean-up I was unable to attend to due to recent surgery. These are really fine people. Do yourself a favor and hire Red Oak for all your landscaping and tree removal needs.

Red oak landscaping recently re graded my front yard, and poured a new sidewalk from porch steps to mailbox. I had serious water drain issues, which they addressed and did a wonderful job.there field staff is very knowledgeable, with attention to detail, neatness, n clean-up. My water drain issues have been permanently fixed, with the installation of grass seed, and a straw woven mat, I ll have a lush green front yard in just a few short weeks. I had decided on a new sidewalk from porch steps to mailbox, and my idea was pretty basic. After discussing options with Carlos, his idea was absolutely amazing. he turned an ordinary sidewalk into an architectural masterpiece, that I absolutely love. Carlos n his coworker are very particular in there attention to details, clean up, and nice square corners, and clean straight lines. I m 110 percent satisfied with there workmanship.the office staff, worked with me on re-scheduling arrangements due to a planned vacation that unfortunately had to be postponed due to covid 19 outbreak.all my questions and concerns were promptly and professionally answered faster than I could have hoped for. From first hand shake, meeting tony to go over my project, to the last twig being picked up at end of job, the entire red oak team earned 6 stars out of a possible 5, that s how satisfied I am with the performance of office and field staff. I highly recommend red oak, for any outdoor project you decide on, I m sure they will do as good a job for you as they did for me.

Red Oak did a back yard project for us along a fence where the ground sloped to the fence. It was a nightmare to push mow it. They did a great job! The staff working on it were polite, professional, and got the work done within the hours stated on the estimate. They also replaced some shrubbery out front of the house and it looks fabulous. Thanks to Tony for his suggestions for along the fence, the greenery selection for the front of the house, and to the project staff for a job very well done!

Red Oak takes care of the snow and ice removal on one of my apartment complexes in Maplewood and for the first time in 10 years that I have owned it I can sleep at night with no worries wether or not someone will show up or not. First class service!! Keep it up and thanks

Our front lawn was a total disaster from years of severe water and erosion issues: no grass, mud every time it rained, standing water, water running in from the neighbors yard. We called in Red Oak Landscaping, and Rich Stephens came up with a plan to install a drain, regrade the slope and completely reseed the lawn. One year later, the lawn is thriving and the water issues are gone. We are doing the yearly maintenance this year to give the new grass the nourishment and care it needs to be healthy. Highly recommend Red Oak Landscaping to help in these situations! You CAN have a beautiful lawn again!

We moved into a new home in March, and one of the first items on our agenda was to get our overgrown front yard under control, and add gravel space for parking. Tony Zebrowski was a pleasure to work with as he drew up plans to do just that, and he quoted us a reasonable price that even came in a little under our budget. We appreciated Tonys keen eye for preserving desirable features of our front yard, while cleaning everything up. They were out here just a few weeks later, and got the job done painlessly in two days. We couldnt be happier with the final product, and we couldnt recommend Red Oak highly enough to anybody with landscaping needs, no matter how big or small!

Very professional. They met with me & listened to what I wanted. They then made suggestions. They sent me a proposal with a sketch of the plan & pictures of the plants they would use. They were very reasonable in their prices. Even after I accepted the proposal & had a work day, I requested some extra services. They were happy to help me out. My office uses this service, and they have zero respect for personal property and are ruining our staffs car by leaf blowing all over them, cutting stuff down on top of them...my car is filthy now with debris, and I didnt see it happen but I am certain the nick on my rear quarter panel is from their careless work. They are literally leaf blowing debris directly into cars right now, the lady is standing outside of my window right now pointing a leaf blower directly into my coworkers car, likely scratching it with debris and stuffing her grill with debris. Unreal. Have some respect.

I basically hired Red Oak to enable an above ground pool installation, which included leveling the ground and building a retaining wall. My list of complaints start with no confirmation of start date which was attributed to staff attending a landscaping convention/seminar. The wall, which was supposed to be the secondary feature became their main focus and the landing for the pool was never graded to level. The pool company had to regrade the pool landing as it was 4 off at one end. That was after Red Oak was supposed to fix the grade after an initial concern raised by the pool installer. The retaining wall is not level, which can clearly be seen by placing a level tool on the top block. It clearly leans, also the blocks do not fit snugly, there are gaps, which also proves the wall is non-level. So the two main items I hired them for were not done properly. The communication was awful. On several occasions I asked the Red Oak project manager if he needed to talk to the pool installers, but he kept insisting they had been doing this 20 years and new what they were doing . They left no extra dirt for fill for the pool installer, but charged me $280 dollars to remove two loads of dirt. Then when I raised this concern the Red Oak project manager said it was my fault, that I should have told them to leave fill for the pool installers, but then he didnt need to consult the pool installer, did he? There was also a low spot off to the side of the pool on the opposite end of the retaining wall that was supposed to be filled in with extra dirt and an extended landing made on that end with leftover dirt. This was never done and the project manager had the nerve to ask me, I thought they were supposed to fill in that low spot and build the landing out? , but I had to pay to have extra dirt hauled away. Even when the pool installer posed legitimate concerns and the owner and project manager came back out and checked the grade the owner remarked, Its not on grade, but just barely, yet it was still 4 inches low on one end after they were supposed to have fixed the just barley not graded landing. Had I known how this project was going to turn out and I wouldnt have hired these guys if they had offered to do it for free.

Highly Recommend Red Oak Landscaping! They weeded, aerated, and seeded my South City yard and I amazed at the green grass that has grown. Very professional, affordable, and detailed. I am very happy with my decision to work with Rich and his staff at Red Oak.

We are so happy we chose Red Oak Landscaping to do our backyard! I would recommend them on any outdoor project you are wanting to get done. Rich was so helpful and gave us a preliminary estimate on the spot so that wed have an idea of what the cost would be before giving us our actual bid, which we received only a couple days later. He made us feel comfortable and was very easy to talk to, and he gave us great suggestions on the design of our backyard. We told him we wanted to stick to a certain budget, and he was very conscientious of that and sent us two different bids outlining the pertinent things we wanted to get done and the things we could put off for the future. It was nice because we had an idea of what the not-so-pertinent things would cost us in the future should we do them later on. Rich truly takes pride in his work, and he and his team worked hard to give us the backyard weve always wanted. They truly did an amazing job. We cant wait to start enjoying their work for years to come!
