I don t know what a fair star rating to give because I never got service done by them and can t speak to their quality. But I can speak on their customer service. Abysmal. In early April of this year I called to set up an aeration for my lawn. I wanted it soon so I could apply fertilizer and new grass seed. I asked when they thought someone would be out and I was told first week of May. The contract I was emailed said August so I called back to verify and they had it adjusted and told me early May. Early may comes around, I call to see if they know when they ll be in my neighborhood. They now say middle of May. Middle of May comes around I call just to see if they know a day so someone can be home and they now say end of May. End of May comes around, same story, they now say first week of June FOE SURE. First week of June passes and I just gave up. On Friday in the second week of June we were getting a new patio put in and THAT S when they call and say they will do it that day. I say, I m sorry we re doing a new patio, the whole backyard is not accessible I m just going to have to cancel. They obliged, I was going to leave it there until now A week ago someone came by with a truck and aerator and said Hey I m here for your lawn. I explained to them the entire story above and said we don t need it and specifically asked if I could cancel and to see if I would be charged or not for them sending one. The woman was nice and confirmed with the office I wouldn t be charged. I apologized to her for driving out and was as nice as possible. Still not enough for me to leave a review. THEY SHOWED UP AGAIN YESTERDAY saying I was on the schedule. THE SAME LADY. My wife told them the exact story above AGAIN. And here we are with me leaving a bad review. I gave 2 stars because it s bad enough they ll notice but who knows maybe if they ever did the aeration it would have been a good job. Wild I had to go through all these hoops to get here. Maybe their lawn care is good, but their scheduling and service is AWFUL.

First off I want to say this is only about pricing. We were told one thing charged way more. Call center can t help you we will call tomorrow. They best call tomorrow!

Untrustworthy company! I tried multiple times to get them out to my home for a problem and no one has returned my call. Very disappointing.

**3 year update** The service was so great 3 years ago that I posted a 5 star review (in part because the technician got a $5 tip if you gave 5 stars and mentioned them). I think since they unleashed PEST BADGER, the service has really dropped. We had weeds all summer and they stopped letting me know they were coming (only way to make sure we got all the chairs and such out of the grass). Just cancelled service and had to call twice to get that done.

Looking for recommendations for a new spider spraying company. We ve had K&C Pest Control spraying our house for years but they recently merged with Turf Badger - Appleton and the transition has been EXTREMELY HORRIBLE. Here are the many ways it has not been handled well. 1. We were never informed there was even going to be a change. 2. When we had the last appointment, the only information about the person being at our house that was they left a flyer for Turf Badger with a persons name on it who did the work (no invoice or anything telling me what they might have done)- I had to call three times to two different phone numbers to get someone to tell me if my house had even been sprayed. 3. Apparently all invoices and communication is happening electronically, which would be totally fine by me, but as it turns out, they don t have an email address for me and when I went in through their link today, I found out you cannot update the email online on an iPhone. I m assuming that lack of email address also contributed to all the other communication issues !! Probably something they needed to account for - especially for many long time customers who would have had no need to have an email address on file with K&C in the past. 4. (Final straw)So, I called today and conveyed my frustration and how I didn t think I d want to be a customer anymore if this is how the business was now going to be run and was told my account would be closed out. There was no trying to talk me out of it or hint of wanting me kept as a customer- which is very sad. I even had to get the person to verify what address to send my payment to - and it s good I did because that has changed too - Ai yi yiiiiiiiiiii.

I just signed a deal with Jackson. A few minutes later my husband who works in law enforcement told me absolutely do not sign anything with that company we dont know anything about them. My neighbors also said not to trust salesman coming around our neighborhood. Give me a reason to prove them wrong.

My wife and I have been using turf badger for around 7-8 months. I called them due to bees in my basement and chandler came around 7pm and took care of them for us even though it was after hours. He did an absolute amazing job getting rid of the huge hive and even vacuumed them up afterwards for me. If you re looking for a reliable pest company this is the one. Thanks again chandler.

Was sold on the services back in 2023. Really havent noticed a difference in my enviroment since we signed up. Let it keep going as I knew it wouldnt be immediate. They never cleaned exterior cobwebs as stated. Most services at mynlocation were 10 minutes of them sitting in my driveway, and a short 5 minute walk around my house. Called today to cancel and was informed there is a $100 cancelation fee. Yes, it was probably in the paperwork. However, the sales man SEVERAL times told me I could cancel at any time. Especially as i stated I didnt want to sign up for something without my husbands input No worries, cancel ANYTIME Well, I guess he didnt lie, I can cancel.. but now I have to pay $100 to do so. Will start utilizing the companies my neighbors do, even though its more. Also advised friends to call to find the end of their term to cancel.

Got email today saying they were coming on 10/17 to provide your Pest - Quarterly Pest Control service. Had service in July? which was fine, but I told the guy then that I was not committing to any further service without my approval. Called and cancelled appointment and told them not to perform service on 10/17.

We have been a customer since 2020, with a short pause when we built a new home. This spring we started with the mosquito spray in addition to the pest control. Mosquito spray was done in June, he did a great job spraying the wooded area. But when someone came back in July ,he didnt want to go back there because the ground was soft and he didnt have boots so he did a 30 second fog of the side trees. minimal spray for $93.90. Our pest control was scheduled for July, but due to some landscaping it was rescheduled for August 20th and they were a no show. Called, left messages, no call back. Also have a squirrel issue on our patio damaging furniture, left 4 messages, 2 emails and no call back. Unable to get an actual person to talk to!! For the cost $136/qtr for each service and NO customer service, there has to be a better company out there!!

This is for their lawn service. They are three treatments in and the only evidence they were here is their signage. I d be embarrassed to put signage on this lawn.

I was skeptical cause I live in Marquette township on 13 acres and my space we use outside is about 2 acres the rest is woods. But my family was coming up to visit for a week and I didn t want to spend the entire time in my house cause of the mosquitos. I called and got scheduled for service with Turf Badger. Best summer decision of my life. We have spent more time this summer enjoying our yard because of the service they provide. Looking forward to next summer again using Turf Badger

I don t think they are operating any more. They told me they d be back to provide a service and apologized for how bad the lawn looked. They haven t fulfilled 3 out of the 5 services I paid for.

Salesman was pushy, product isnt working, customer service is a nightmare. Bring trying to cancel for 2 weeks now and its so difficult. If they knock on your door just shut it on them. Not worth the headaches.

I am not impressed with any of the communication with this business. They will schedule and come when they want and charge you even when they say you wont. The service unfortunately did not work for our concerns. We have asked them to to return our money not even realizing they had charged us every single time they came after our initial visit. I have left several messages and was told a manager would call. They have not called and left a message as to what the updates are. Please do not promote 100% money back guaranteed. They have charged me over $140 each time (4) times and thought they could just refund me one of the times. This is a joke. Apparently no one picks up the phone now when I call. I would not recommend this business as they do not communicate well and they do not do as they promote on their page to guarantee their services.

Rip off. Check Better Business Bureau ratings. 1/5 stars. Don t believe the fake reviews here. I had Turf Badger/Pest Badger the summer of 2024. Im not sure they actually use anything but colored water in their sprays. I have more crabgrass, spurge, bees, ants, etc than ever before! And yes, I had them come back and redo several times same outcome. Maybe I have some really tough crabgrass, right? I sprayed once with Quincept and a day later I can see results. Dont waste your time or money with these people. Rip off.

This was My first year with this company. The first three times they have been here it has rained. When I Mentioned that it was going to pour, she would tell me something like It s not going to start for the next three 3 to 4 hours. I remember speaking to customer service in the beginning and they reassured me They will never come when it is going to rain. One of my neighbors had used them before and their lawn looked great. That was two years ago. This has not been my experience.

When I started with Turf Badger several years ago their service and quality was outstanding. Its become evident either through internal changes or growth that they can no longer sustain that level of service and quality. They come in very well priced however found towards the end of last year and this year that their techs are not committed to doing a good job. I watched them several times go through my yard (and provided feedback) where I had to remind the tech that my yard went to the hill, or fence as they were just covering the main areas and trying to leave quickly. This has caused a significant increase in unwanted growth in my yard and when I reached out to Turf Badger it would take several follow ups to get a response. Any timeline they gave me was blown by until I followed up again. When I talked to someone about the concerns of my yard there was no acknowledgement or apology it was just Ill see how quickly I can get someone out there again but were pretty busy so may be another week or two. I understand the weather in the spring was a bit of a beast but they only managed to get out to me 2x (of the 5) by end of July. After just canceling they had just made it out the third time. My advice is to choose another company, theyre not committed to quality anymore, only quantity. Pay a few more bucks and go with someone better.

There is still a very active yellow jacket nest in the front door trim on the 2439 side of the duplex. It needs to be retreated.

First Spray: Salesperson was knowledgeable & just did such a great job giving me tips, went over and above. Second Spray: I waited quietly around the house for the tech, waited all day, no show. (I thought) Called company. Was told yes , they sprayed inside also . Well, I had them come back (they did! Nicely) come out because that tech had lied. ( I saw nobody open my door & walk in lol , )the tech DID come back but still failed to do her job. I turned into a very irate customer thinking that this company has a messed up way of doing things then making me pay for that! (I am NOT the type of person to be quiet when injustice comes around to my awareness! ). Well with this company , that is not the case .. they DO care ! I had a technician named Matthew call extremely concerned that their service was not performed properly and that I was upset. He asked to come out one more time, for no cost. I let him. He scrubbed off debris, sprayed 3 foot boarders up the walls, out from the house, went inside and sprayed & educated me on things I can do, why bugs come up drains etc . The world is not filled with people like Matthew, unfortunately. Sometimes, you get a person who doesn t care about their job etc.. What is most important in any junction comes down to the intent & communication. I had a problem, and I am so grateful that I was heard and that I was made whole 100% Yes . I DO RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!

He asked thorough questions and gave easy to understand answers, as he dealt with my pest concerns appropriately.

Kayla did a GREAT job and spend extra time on the details We have been with Turf Badger for 3 years. She ask if there were any problem areas and found (2) new wasp nest on the garage door, she even took extra time to look over the house for additional wasp next.

I was sold into a package, cancelled it, and they came 3 months later and did a service which I didn t want. I m sure they re a great company, but I hate feeling sold!

In general, the scheduling and other administrative aspects of Turf Badger are good. HOWEVER, if you have ANTS in your yard, DO NOT trust turf badger. Their general treatment and additional special treatments are completely ineffective. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt initially but was left disappointed in the end. Between the normal lawn servicing for bugs, 5 additional phone calls, 4 special trips to specifically try to handle the ants (with map of yard detailing exactly where the hot spots were), they simply did not do anything to curb the ant problem. In fact, the ants spread after their treatments. After finding ants in our house and having 10+ teaming mounds of ants in the yard for months, I took matters into my own hands. I went to Ace and talked to someone there. I ended up dropping $50 on supplies from there and fixing the problem in an afternoon. The ants have been gone now for weeks with no signs of returning. If you have problems with ants, save yourself hundreds of dollars and just deal with it yourself. Turf Badger has no expertise or ability to handle this common pest.

Dishonest door-knocking sales techniques. Will attempt to sell you a discount based on previous service but will secretly multiply the annual visits to end up costing you much more. Also operates with a cost to cancel service in fine print which indicates they know they are misleading customers.

This is a company that I do not recommend. Per the contract and website for the services I agreed to, I never once received the all of the services that were promised. I was informed they would come back after missing multiple bee hives and our appointment was canceled due to them being at our house earlier in the week. They did not take the time to read the notes that this was a callback. Additionally, I was told I would receive a phone call back to reschedule and I did not receive one. Our house was not serviced at contracted and due to the missed bee hives, even after calling multiple times to ask them to come out before our family event, individuals were stung. When I finally got ahold of someone, I was told that when I spoke to someone earlier to cancel our account, it was not actually done. As mentioned earlier, this company does not provide services as advertised and I suggest you look at other companies.

Jordan did an awesome job treating the interior and exterior of our house today. He was very thorough and professional. He explained all the steps of process and made sure we understood exactly what he was doing to treat the bugs/pests. We look forward to seeing Jordan again next quarter for our pest treatment.

I am very happy with the pest control from Turf Badger. They have been servicing my property for about 5 years. Excellent results.

Efficient and professional was how I felt over a year ago. The more services I added, the worse the service. I just canceled lawn, rodent, mosquito and pest control. Pest control no showed on me Friday even though I received a confirmation email and vm from them the day before. No one came in the morning so I called and talked to Carrie who confirmed VIA phone call at 1:30 on that day that pest control was still coming. I sat home and waited all day and no one showed. I scheduled service on Fridays only so they can get the inside of my garage done and the basement. Lawn service is never completely done right to the edges of the lawn. I have weeds in the center of my lawn now. I spray for weeds myself even though they service my lawn. Worse, the phone calls are not answered at all most of the time. Once I went to the business because no one answered the phone. Now I am awaiting a refund for the service they didnt do on Friday. Im done!

We had Matthew do our quarterly pest service today and he was awesome. He came to the door, introduced himself, asked if our dog needed to go out before he started and was very thorough! He double checked before leaving if he had gotten everywhere we were having issues and if there was anyplace else that needed attention. We ve had turf badger for a few years now and it has made a huge difference with the pests in and outside our home.

The single worst pest control company I have ever worked with. They are scam artists. First, the services (when they even happened) took less than 10 minutes total (I have almost an acre of property). The chemicals they use do not at all work like they say they do, so you can ask them to come back but good luck getting someone. I had 4 or 5 services scheduled with them, only one happened as scheduled. Every other one was rescheduled due to some type of employee situation. Crazy those happen every time I need to get sprayed? On top of all of it, they are slow to respond, they forgot one service completely and have told me two or three times I would get a call back guess who never got a call back? I don t go out of my way to trash companies but seriously forget these guys, spend your money elsewhere. There are better options out there. Much better. At comparable prices. Last thing their service contracts have a cancellation payment. If you choose to cancel their services at any time they bill you $100 to break contract . What the hell kind of company does that? Now they are harrassing me via email to try to get me to sign up for their pest services . If they re as good at pests as bugs you can expect a family of moles living in your basement by next week I knew I never should have purchased pest control services from a dude flying through my neighborhood on a hoverboard

this was a repeat of a treatment that was not effective. I was told the tech would be at my house in the afternoon. At 6:00 I called to see what was happening. Told he would be be out sometime but not sure when He arrived about 6:30 and did a treatment after I had waited the entire afternoon and into evening. I told the person I talked with on the phone I wanted the manager to call me Monday. No call!! I called after 3 and was told the manager was on another line and would call me. It is 4:10and no call. This is my first year with this company and I am not pleased.

Good service and people. We sign up for the fertilizer, mosquito, and insect services and we have had good experiences. For example Skyler just came by to do our insect service and did an awesome job, asked if there was anything else he could help with and reminded us to call if we notice anything.

The technicians that came to do the work were both professional and courteous. I did wait a few days to review to see how well the application worked. It is amazing. We had so many spider webs all over our house after being on vacation for over a week and they cleaned them all before applying the product. Before the application, I would clean all the webs only for them to reappear the very next day. It has been two days since the application and the webs are still gone. I highly recommend this company.

Telephone rings twice and shuts off. No response to emails in three days, area rep doesnt return telephone messages or text messenger. Very dissatisfied, ants all over the yard and no service, which had to be prepaid.

The idea and plan they sold me was amazing, if only the company could follow through. Due to rain my second fertilizer/weed control was pushed back. Not their fault, but it was so late they did the next scheduled one the day after it was sprayed, with the same fertilizer/weed control combo. They are lucky my lawn didn t burn from overfertalizing it. When I realized what happened and called they said they would respray for weeds at no cost and then charged full price for the no cost respray . I called THREE WEEKS in advance of an outdoor party for a mosquito control spray, and the scheduled it for two days AFTER the party. Don t bother with this company, it is more trouble making sure they are doing what they should than it is worth.

When we first started with them they were great. As we added more services the quality of the work went down. They are very easy to get ahold of when you want to add service. However they dont return phone calls when you need something fixed.

Ken was right on time, professional and thorough. Upon arrival he explained the purpose of the visit/treatment and answered all of our questions, clearly explaining the product and plan.

This was our initial service with Pest Badger and was very pleased that Jordan was the technician. He answered all our questions and made sure he took care of the areas that we had concern. Thank you Jordan! We are looking forward to a whole lot less bugs.

Have a pay as you go contract for services. Still waiting first early spring treatment even after calling 3 weeks ago. They can still do service recovery and improve rating if I could get through to talk with someone when call and get a lawn treatment in follow up to the last year s lawn treatment.

Dave Miller has been treating our lawn for few years now. He does a wonderful job and is always so polite and friendly. The products he applies have given us a near weed free lawn considering none of our neighbors treat theirs. Thanks for a consistent great job.

The technician showed up and barely sprayed our front yard. He then tried a side gate on our fence (there are 3) and got back in his vehicle when it was locked. I caught him before he left (vehicle was on) and informed him we left the largest gate (in the back) open. He then sprayed not quite half of our backyard and left. We enjoyed when they were Pro-X as we had no issues, but this service is a joke.

BEWARE of shady billing practices. This company came out and preformed services at my mothers house without authorization while she was out of town. They claim they sent her a bill via text (which they didn t, because the number they had on file was a land line!!) A paper bill was never sent. She was never contacted. They then sent her to collections and impacted her credit after never contacting her about the service or a bill!

Service was delayed multiple times and gate was left open after they completed the service

Used Turf Badger for 2 years and was pretty happy. Used them for Lawn and Mosquito last year. Not sure what happened but this year I couldnt get a technician to the house after pre paying for service. Called once to ask about status Mid-April and they said due to snow it would be next week. Thats understandable, but no one ever showed up. Called again on April 29th and got the same response. Cancelled service and hired a different company that same day and they showed the next day. Hope it was a one off for them.

Skyler arrived on time. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and quickly completed the work.

I just spoke with Darius and set up multiple services for my lawn. I cant say enough good things about my experience with the sales department. Darius explained all the services to me, and he answered all my questions in a friendly and professional manner. He got everything scheduled efficiently and timely. Keep up the great work, Darius!

Signed up in the summer of 2020 for pesticide treatment and mosquito spraying. Specifically said Id be willing to try them out for a year and see what kind of results I get to determine if I continue with the service. Lo and behold, I was signed up for an 18 month contract, essentially two years given the time I signed up summer was half over. Shame on me for not reading fine print I suppose. To the service, sub-par at best. Amount of insects we had was no less than what we typically see. They did knock down wasp nests which was welcomed. Mosquito spray was non-effective - outside doing yard work just days after a spray and mosquitos were everywhere. The bummer, is I had to call them almost EVERY month asking when they were coming out for service. I expected roughly every 4 weeks, once a month. On average we were close to every 6 weeks for treatment. I actually had to call them back to re-apply once, as I watched one of their techs spray 1/4 of our yard only instead of the entire yard, all while the 2nd tech stayed in the vehicle with his feet on the dash. Easy decision to cancel once the contract was up. Even that they tried pushing me to speak to their manager to discuss further prior to cancelling. Glad others seemingly have good reviews, just not seeing the value they provide for the price they charge.

We signed up to have our lawn fertilized and treated and they no-called, no showed twice. No communication.

Skyler did an amazing job at our house. He even helped us bring our our patio furniture. Jordan was wonderful as well.

After just a year of being with Turf Badger, we cancelled our services. The very first visit this spring was a disaster. Snow was expected the day after their visit, so they suggested not to put any ant repellent around the perimeter of our house or lawn even after being told we saw ants in the house. They promised to come back the first day it was warmer out. They scheduled a service two weeks later after WE initiated a phone call, however they never showed up. No communication, no reschedule again. We didn t bother calling back to reschedule and took care of the ant situation ourselves.They called us asking us to pay our invoice, billing us for all services supposedly rendered. They only swept around the perimeter of the house for spider webs, nothing more was done. No product was used around the house or in the lawn to deter ants from the home. I have it all on my ring camera, the visit lasted 5 minutes and they want to bill me $136.xx. Told them the situation and they lowered our bill to $86.xx. $86 dollars to sweep for spider webs and 5 minutes of work. No thanks. Save yourself from making multiple calls, being harassed to pay an invoice that shouldn t even exist and hire a different company for pest control.

I 200% recommend Turf Badger! Thank you Anthony for your sense of urgency to get us on the schedule the same day! Thank you, Matthew, for going above and beyond making our house clear and safe! Also to both of these gentlemen for explaining to me what was going on and how the process works. Of the most importance is the fact that my daughter feels safe and secure in her home especially her safe haven room! Shout out!!!

Have not used their service. However, I give them 1 star because their pushy salesman ignored TWO no soliciting signs in our yard.
