Massey Services GreenUP Lawn Care Service in Apopka

A year ago I wrote a 5 star review on how great my lawn looked. Unfortunately it seems after that review, I regretted giving my praises. In the start of this year we started seeing dead patches and an excessive amount of weeds. We made a few a complaints and then decided to cancel our services and go with tru green as we felt we were getting the run around. Massey sent George the manager to the house and he asked us to give him 6 months to fix the issue, and not go with tru green. So we canceled and stayed with Massey. They did a full assessment and advised us what was needed. He advised that we needed to fix the irrigation and add this special dirt to give the grass nutrition. We spent the extra money and did all that was asked of us. Nothing got better, we continuously pointed that out, but felt like we were going no where. We then asked for a manager to come out and speak with us because we discovered we had chinch bugs and that was the reason for the spots in the grass after several calls George eventually came out with someone. While I showed the George all the areas of our lawn that was in horrible condition the other inspected the lawn. While I was showing George a video of the chinch bugs we found and George was telling me that it's not that, the other massey technician came and met us and confirmed it was chinch bugs. They then told me they would start treating the areas and we came up with a game plan. Which included sending someone to look at our irrigation again. I asked for next steps and they said they would call my husband and go over what's needed. Again we trusted they would do as they said they would and continued service. They never called him. This was in late July/early August. They ended up sending someone for our normal monthly maintenance. We asked the tech what was he treating for did they advise him that we had chinch bugs and he said no, he doesn't see that anywhere. So we called Massey once again and asked when are they gonna start treating the lawn for chinch bugs, we were told they would send someone for the initial treatment and then 2 more times thereafter. I reminded them that someone was supposed to come out to look at the irrigation. No one ever came. We called and called and told them we would cancel don't send anyone else. We want to speak to a manager cause all we are getting are empty promises and our grass at this point is dead and needs to be replaced. They kept saying a manager was coming but no one came after Multiple calls. I called and eventually got George on the line. I reminded him of what he promised. He sent the irrigation person out that same day who did an assessment. He advised all that needed to be changed. We decided to have someone else change it out as we didn't trust Massey and we're still waiting for an actual manager to come out and speak with us again. We called again and they made an appointment. We waited all day and no one showed. At this point we called and told the office once again don't send anyone else out here unless it's George. Our grass is now dead. They still sent the someone out to do the normal monthly maintenance. We called them and reminded them that we asked to not send anyone because we were not pleased with the services and our grass is getting worse so whatever they are doing is not working. We want to speak with a manager. The receptionist said ok. We then started getting calls saying we had a balance for the month we asked them not service. We advised we shouldn't be responsible because we asked you not to send anyone. Several calls and no solution and still no manager. We canceled our services. We had to buy 4 pallets of grass and change out our entire yard and now manage our grass ourself. Massey started off great but that was just to rope us in. Alot of money was spent and all we got was lies and empty promises. The one time my husband got George on the phone he told him. Even if your grass is dead we wouldn't pay to replace it anyway. So why would i come out, it would fall on you regardless. Worst service ever.

Lawn specialist Randall Clark came out as soon as Apopka lifted restrictions and laid Slow released Nitrogen and Broad Leaf Weed application. He was friendly and answered all my questions for lawn care and provided suggestions for watering during Fall/Winter months. Friendly and not hurried. I appreciate his services and quality work.

We were experiencing dead grass patches on our lawn. The irrigation tech, Mike Duncan, inspected all our irrigation heads and tested the water pressure on each head. Mike worked diligently to ensure that the sprinkler heads were reaching all the dead areas of our lawn. We are so appreciative of his hard work! Massey definitely hires extremely good techs in all of the services that they offer! We are so happy we changed our pest and lawn services to Massey.

I don't know where to start; I don't like reviews, but what they did is blowing my mind. When I started with this company, I paid for the service all year in advance. I gave them a brand new grass and irrigation system. The first year was regular, and I was behind them all the time. The second year was a little better, but I still called them when I saw something bad on my grass. This year was horrible. The manager came a few times with excuses all the time, and my grass is horrible now. Besides that, I told the manager that the person who is doing the lawn services never asked me for my signature; he signed for me without my permission!!! I was told, "I'm going to talk with the guy." I told the manager that my grass was horrible. He just gave me excuses and said that in 2 weeks he would come back to check the grass, but that never happened. Besides all that, now I'm receiving bills and calls telling me that I have an amount to pay. I always pay for the entire year in advance. So, I asked them to inform the manager and call me back. Again, that never happened. Yesterday, the guy who was supposed to come to my house for the lawn service called me, so I gave him the message again for the manager. Today, he finally called me. He said that I changed my visits to monthly. That never happened; we were talking about that, and I told him that I want to keep the way that I'm now and maybe next year. He was rude and still said that I said that. The guy never came every month, and I never changed that. Be careful when you talk with them; they put words in your mouth. I just canceled my service, and they leave my grass horrible and with a lot of weeds. Update! The manager called me telling me that he'll come today Monday, July 1st. right now is 4:39 and he didn't show up or called me. I wasted my entire day waiting for him. Also, nobody from the corporate called me yet. They just answered this review to cover what Massey did.

Just had an inspection for mt irrigation system and the tech Larry was phenomenal. He had a lot of good information was very helpful. His attitude and professionalism was spot on! Will continue to use Massey for all my lawn care needs. George Martinez was extremely helpful and determined to bring my lawn back to life. Would recommended for all your services

5 Stars! Here's why.... I held off for 3 seasons before giving a review because I did not want to give a good review the first few months then regret it later... Now I'm confident that I'm not going to have any regrets giving Massey Services 5 stars! Our lawn looks great our HOA has left their "Yard Of The Month" on our lawn for several months. Doug continues to set the standard of great customer services....We're 100% Satisfied!!

If you aren’t getting your lawn serviced by Mike Duncan with Massey Services your lawn hasn’t met its full potential. Mike has been servicing my lawn for a full year now. It’s clear he takes his career very serious. I can’t stand outside without someone complimenting my yard. If there was ever a “Yardsmith”, it would be Mike.

Douglas Castro doesn’t excellent job on my mom and dad’s lawn nice and green and weed free. my mom and dad said he’s an excellent technician.
