Good Guys Lawn Care has the BEST services! I needed my driveway plowed a few times this winter and they were always to my house just as the snow was deep enough to need service. Great weekly service from Good Guys. They clearly care for their employees and customers. The office is flexible and quick to communicate, and the crews are friendly, conscientious and thorough!

Asked for quotes, but never received a response after giving more details and sending a reminder text.

They do sloppy work often missing various areas. They also leave a mess on neighboring yards which they do not clean up.

They showed up twice without arranging the exact time or date beforehand. Then 5 guys showed up to the site to do simple gardening tasks and only 1-2 of them working at a time, the rest of the crew were just hanging around, and they charged us for 5 men!!! They charged our credit card automatically without sending an invoice, and we have been complaining about the overcharge for the past weeks, and no real action from the company! So disappointing!!!

I am probably the best client as I never have a complaint about my lawn or snow removal service from Good Guys. I love not having to work all week and worry about the lawn being mowed, or the leaves being taken care of. And I love that I don t have to become best friends with my snow blower!

Good Guys have been mowing our lawn & performing fall clean up for a number of years and have always done a great job. The crew are conscientious with cross cutting week to week, laying down crisp lines and rows, & are friendly too. The yard is left tidy when they are done. They really seem to take pride in their work! I get lots of compliments on our lawn and always chalk the compliments up to the quality of the mowing work. I never hesitate to refer Good Guys to friends, family, and neighbors looking for a reliable lawn service contractor.

This is the worst lawn care company I have ever had. They left clippings all over my yard, patio and in my mulch beds. I was charged for lawn edging but they never edged anything for the 4 times I had them out before canceling. They also add a Fuel Surcharge of 5% with no explanation...

I recently started using Good Guys Lawn Care after cycling through several providers over the years. I was especially drawn to the page on their website that describes the benefits they provide to their employees. It was easy to schedule the services I needed, and the staff communicate quickly and effectively on a consistent basis. This week, there was a minor issue that caused some brown patches on the lawn. I happened to return a call to Good Guys to schedule another service and asked if they knew what happened. I was promptly transferred to someone very knowledgeable who explained the situation and detailed the resolution plan that was already in place at no cost to me. Stuff happens - I only mention it here because I am thrilled with the accountability, communication, and thoughtfulness consistently present at this company.

In my old office we had a very important person at UM Ann Arbor *cough cough* that couldnt get snowed in as she had very important work to do. She was always able to get out of her driveway and safely to campus. We love Good Guys!

Weve used Good Guys Lawn Care for fall cleanup for several years and they always do an incredible job. We have a heavily wooded lot and the team that came out this year was fantastic. Super nice, really fast and efficient, and the price was competitive.

For my yard work, I found out that Good Guys had charged my credit card almost 95% more than the estimate they had initially quoted me. Upon inquiry, they informed me that there was more work needed than they expected. The issue, of course, is that they went ahead and completed this additional work without telling me; the credit card charge was the only courtesy notice I received. After multiple attempts to push back on my complaint, Good Guys finally conceded that they had neglected to provide me with a cost-control option. They provided me with a partial refund for the additional work but only after significant haggling with them. So why not a 1-star or 2-star review then? Because their quality of work seemed good to me and their office staff are generally pleasant to deal with. But a 3-star review is certainly warranted after the lack of communication and the initial refusal to own up to the very obvious issue. I will not say that I do not recommend their services; but do make sure to do your due diligence before contracting with them. Edit: The business has commented that we selected an hourly service with no budget cap. After all was said and done, their manager conceded to me that a budget cap is a feature of their service that they offer - the manager and I came to agree that they did not explicitly offer me that option at the outset. I know this neglect to offer this was a simple matter of forgetting rather than intentional. As a lay person with no experience in lawn care service, the business indicated to me that a typical workload for my homes situation takes no more than 8 man hours. With no budget cap in place, the business billed me more than double the typical man hours without ever providing me a better estimate of the number of hours needed during the process. My gripe is not that the work was dishonest (I do believe the work was honest), rather, it is that the manager attempted to refute the idea that I was not made aware of what the costs would be (and it appears that the manager continues to feel this way). For a different perspective, if a restaurant serves you a dish you did not order simply out of a misunderstanding, it is not the customers responsibility to therefore pay for it simply because it was cooked and served -- that responsibility lies squarely on the restaurant.

We have used Good Guys, for the first time, for snow removal. Although they were the most expensive of several quotes, their service has been outstanding. They arrive promptly with a crew of 3-4 employees and do not limit their snow removal to the usual parameters. It is really a pleasure to see such outstanding customer service in this market segment.

After years of experience with area lawn services, I find Good Guys to be the best organized and the most professional and responsive of all. I highly recommend them. They do an excellent job.

The website and scheduling of the service was very easy to use. I didn t even need to talk to anyone, scheduled online, they showed up and did the work. The yard cleanup consisted of only removing leaves from the lawn. No sticks or acorns were taken away so a bit disappointed in that aspect, was hoping the entire yard would have been cleaned up.

Good Guys is the best lawn company weve used over years of home ownership. For our seasonal lawn fertilization service, we appreciate advance notice of our upcoming treatment. When they say they will come next week, they will come. We also hired them this spring to service our sprinkler system. The technician, Johnny, is remarkable! He checked for and repaired leaks and adjusted the sprinkler heads to ensure even water coverage of the lawn. If needed, he replaced the heads. Johnny was patient in explaining what he was doing and what he needed to do. He didnt rush and was honest with his assessment. His interpersonal skills and customer service were outstanding! We commend Good Guys on hiring outstanding employees providing courteous, excellent services.

We have been using Good Guys for lawn care for a few years now, and have been very happy with the company. I like the fact act that I can pay online and the company is easy to communicate with (they actually have an administrative assistant!). Jake and Charles are our lawn care specialist, and we could not be happier. Worst experience with this company! Our siding and a corner of our storage shed was destroyed by their weed whip last summer. After months of going back and forth through email and calls, I was told a manager would come out to look at the damage, and assess at that point. I never heard anything back, and no responses to my emails. I decided to call again last week, thinking they would now be open for the season, and left a message to speak with the manager. I received a call today, a year later, letting me know there is nothing they can do because my siding is installed wrong, and its too close to the ground. I was advised to reach out to my builder and let them know they installed the siding incorrectly. I was shocked by this response. I live in a brand new subdivision, all the homes are built similar and no one else that used them had this issue. Their response was very rude and unprofessional. Ive only lived in my home for 2 years and I now have to figure out how to get pieces of my siding replaced. What a terrible experience!

we signed up with Good Guys Lawn care couple of months ago to cut own lawn. Our experience has not been as good as other reviewers have mentioned. The positive: - Great answering service staffs. - The crew showed up on regularly on weekly basis. The negative: - sub-optimal lawn cutting. - lawn cutting while raining 3 weeks back to back. - Overgrown fee added despite cutting the grass within 6 days apart. - leaving grass clumps on the lawn when cutting grass while raining. - missing area (not cutting grass) around deck and trees. We ended up cancelling the service with the Good Guys.

This is an excellent company that cares about their customers and their employees. And it shows in the work they do.

The Good Guys took down a large willow tree in our yard. They did a great job cleaning up and left the yard in better shape than before they came. They also arranged stump grinding, came back and removed the stump mulch and planted new grass. Fantastic job.

I think the grass should be cut when it needs to be cut not every week or two regardless of the length. To me, thats not lawn care. I feel like Im being taken advantage of. Theres charge for every little thing. For example, it cost more to cut every two weeks instead of one. But I dont think the crew actually take two passes instead of one. Plus the grass grows so much slower now that its cold. All of those little fees would have been fine if they do their job perfectly but they did not. They mowed over my little two hostas that Ive been trying to grow even when I clearly put a stake next to each of them even before they started. This continues to happen and my hostas never recover. They blow leaves and grass clipping into the sunroom and leave them there for me to clean up. Ann Arbor has the deer problem. The deer love 2 trees that I have, so I have to put a little wire fence around it. The trees are 1-3 feet tall and not hard to remove the wire, weed whack, and put them back. They did not do that so the grass keeps getting longer and longer. Finally, they left the gate open. I let my dog out for 2 days without realizing. Im next to a freeway. She could have run away or get hit by a car. In the end, its just costing more work and annoyance for me and not worth every little things that Im being charged for. I dont get the impression that the crew really care about my lawn and just want to get paid but didnt do their job.

We used their service last year and although it took them a while to start the landscaping process, it was done quickly and neatly once they started. All the plants they brought from the nursery are of very good quality, including the maple tree. It has been a year since and the plants are doing great. The lawn has never looked better(it was pretty bad when we moved in) and our yard has received compliments too. There were a few hiccups along the way but Zach took care to make sure they were resolved and we are very happy with how it turned out in the end.

Companies prove their customer service or lack there of in tough times. Last week Good Guys mowed and it didnt look great afterward. We called them and sent a couple of pictures. They immediately go back to us, sent a crew out the next day, double mowed and now it looks better than ever. There follow up through the entire process was amazing. Im glad we trusted all of the reviews when originally selecting them, because it is cases like this where the majority of other companies fall on their face.

We asked Good Guys to cut and edge our lawn before we arrived home in the Spring. They hit the side of our house so hard with their equipment that they broke off the power vent to our water heater, knocked the gas meter so hard we had a gas leak, and knocked a security sensor off our basement window. The results: had to pay plumber to reattach power vent, pay security company to fix sensor, call gas company to check meter, and received a warning from our Township that next false alarm would cost us $100. I would say we had a bad experience with this company!

Efficient and fast snow removal thus far!

Good Guys has done a challenging project for us--redoing an area where a huge tree had come down and left a hole--as well as more routine ones, mowing, putting up a deer fence, etc. It was all done well and efficiently. We signed up for the pay-in-advance summer program, and were not sure how it was going to work out. However, there was no difference in the number of mowing trips between that and paying by the visit--and last year required more mowing than usual.

Our family moved into a home that had been neglected for over 2 years due to the death of the owner. It is in a beautiful area of Ann Arbor with a rich landscape. Zack and his team were not intimidated by this challenge and eager to help us shine up this mess! The Good Guys are Amazing Guys!!!! Theyve taken care of my lawn and landscaping needs for years and always do a superb job. I feel like they take care of it like its their own lawn!

Zach from Good Guys spent time with me personally to help me understand how to best care for a new tree I planted. He was very easy to talk to, extremely helpful, and clearly loved the work that he does. He knows what hes talking about, and hes honest. Highly recommended.

The Good Guys have been my go-to landscaping expert for the past 5 years! The owner, Zach, provides consistent leadership and training for his crew of yard experts. I know that no one is allowed to mow your yard until they can mow his...perfectly! For this reason, you can trust that your property will be taken care of and respected by the best guys in the biz.

These guys trimmed our trees & shrubs for us last Fall. They did an awesome job & went above and beyond even trimming a few branches that were overhanging our roof. I would definitely recommend them- they were prompt, professional and affordable. Highly recommend!!

I must be the exception to the rule. We hired Good Guys as some neighbors had a positive experience with them. The job was straightforward, to plant a dozen evergreen trees at the perimeter of our yard, some of which were in areas a bit difficult to reach and within existing ground cover beds. Zachs crew ran rough shod thru our yard...absolutely destroyed a large mature ground cover bed with their machinery....showed no respect for what was there...compacted the soil and just trampled everything, He seemed to think that was just part of doing their job, and there were no alternatives. His attempt to rectify the situation fell far short of what should have been done. In addition, because they did not stake the trees, we now have a couple that have shifted and are not straight. There has been no follow up from The Good Guys. It was a very disapointing experience.

Super friendly owner and staff. Always willing to accommodate my often extensive requests and always do so professionally. Its nice to be taken care of by such helpful and respectful gents. Cheesy Name? Only till ya meet em!
