It s a scam! I have text messages confirming I do not want to proceed with the service. The guy still charged my card and sent someone on my property without my knowledge or permission to spray something. They are a scam. They trespassed and scammed me.

This was a followup visit to treat early emerging broadleaf weeds. Upon arriving, the technician met with me and listened to my concerns regarding areas that had early emerging creeping buttercup weeds. He proceeded to do a thorough job of treating those areas and was careful to avoid ornamental plantings.

I was looking for a company to use for lawn care and figured I would get a quote HUGE MISTAKE!! I would rate this company a zero if I could. After inquiring about services online I ve been getting harassed ever since. From the aggressive first sales call to non stop emailing, texting and calling these guys are just relentless. Maybe a bad review will finally make it stop DO NOT USE this company.

Great application by technician, but there was a discrepancy on the areas to be treated by him, he complied with my indication that my entire yard was to be treated and what was that I prepaid for. I notified the company in writing to ensure this doesnt become an issue.

By far the worst service Ive ever seen they even sprayed the wrong house and charged me for it I had to take the day off because they never spray what I need done correctly they never showed back up to forfill contract order just ran with my money I called them to tell them to come back never did

Christopher did a conscious job of only spraying a 6-8 spray to ensure the entire lawn was covered whereas other previous technicians would apply 10 - 12 sprays and not ensure they overlapped, missing many areas. I have been considering switching services as a result of prior lack luster applications. Based on Christopher s performance I will monitor future applications and decide whether I will stay with TruGreen or not.

I have canceled my TruGreen service. It took 2 calls to customer service and each time they said they would issue a credit on a service I did not order and its still not posted to my account, so I will have to call them again. Customer service is terrible!

Nightmare trying to reach them . Automated system is terrible . They can never find my account and my lawn has never looked worse .

Booked a treatment schedule for our lawn with a call center employee who advised us that the first service would be half price at roughly $109. After the first treatment, we were billed an additional $219 which ended up being a yearly grub treatment which no one told us about. Called and canceled the service program. There is no way to interact with the local Trugreen branch and they clearly are not up front and honest about their pricing.

STAY AWAY FROM TruGreen. Worst customer service. They disconnect your call if you have any concerns. Nobody is aligned on what they say to the customer. The services I opted for was not done and instead something else was done. The technician came to my property for the first time at 6.30AM in morning and I wasnt even notified about that. He didnt consult with me even once before doing any activity. And when I called the customer service 4 times they all hung up after listening to my complaint.

They alerted me they will service my lawn on Wed. I called and told them my lawn gets mowed on Wed. They switched my lawn feeding to Fri. Problem solved. Very easy!!

Best Lawn, Tree and Mosquito Services in North America!

We have used Tru Green for some years and have been mostly happy with the service. our service tech- Chris Drouin has been nothing short of excellent. He is thorough, consistent and very helpful when we have questions. We have requested him to be the only one who provides service. The reason is not only because he has been so good but when others have come, we see that they are not doing the comp0lete job. In the past, another service tech came and hardly sprayed the trees in the back yard. he skipped others. When we called, you did send out Chris to do the service again but this caused us to lose faith in the service providers. We have cameras and could see what they did and did not do. Now, just last week, an different tech came to apply the final treatment for 2023. the man rang the bell and was polite and informed us of the service. However, he hardly sprayed anything. he didnt go into the back yard. He sprayed our storm door with this oily spray and began to roll up the hose. I went out to speak to him and tell him he had to go in the back yard. He did and and then when my husband came home, he was spraying the street tress which are mostly dead and very nearly sprayed my husband while he was on the phone with Tru Green. not sure if this is incompetence or a lack of training, this has once again called into question what Tru green is doing. If we werent home or didnt have cameras, how would we know? This removes all credibility and makes us suspicious of the what we are paying for versus the service we are getting. At nearly $87 per treatment, it makes me want to look around for other providers. Tru green did send Chris out to redo the service but we are still Not Happy

TruGreen is waste of money and more importantly will damage your lawn by sending out inexperienced techs who have no idea what they are doing. I have had this happen several times and upper management refuses to get involved to help with situations leaving it to the tech. Along the way, I have met some very knowledgeable techs (who evaluate and apply appropriate treatments) but the inexperienced ones will do more damage than the knowledgeable techs can compensate for. If you use them because of pricing think twice before you do. I keep getting calls to renew my service and I ask the sales reps to look at my lengthy call records with the company as that would clearly state my call interactions with the company and the unwillingness to deal with the damage they created by apply the incorrect chemicals for my lawns health. You have been warned.

Do not trust their phone call agents. Poor value.

I can not tell you have many problems I have had. I dont even want to get into it. Ive asked multiple times to be alerted before a service. I have dogs who use a doggie door for the back and I have to make sure they are inside for the service. Without fail they do not alert me to when they are coming and then they say that they have serviced my backyard. Which is impossible with my german shephard there. Other times I have been home and witnessed them only do the front yard to which I have had to call them to come back and do the back. They have offered me multiple refunds for other things and I have never gotten one. I have had various billing issues too. The treatments themselves were not planned out and did not help my lawn. For example putting a treatment down 3 hours before heavy rain.

I installed a new lawn last summer. I added TruGreen soon after and had the service for about a year when they came to fetilize and burnt my lawn in multiple spots (7/1). They sent a tech (7/9) to assess and take photos but no remediation or follow up was made. I called and requested the Franchisee call me back and never heard from him/her. I called a second time weeks later (8/17) to cancel the service and they offered me 20% off the service that burnt the lawn and another promised phone call to fix my lawn. Its not worth it! I cancelled it all together.

They sold me 6 applications and only showed up to one of them. Im in the process of getting my money back after asking about 5 times. Terrible

First visit in April was great. I walked the lawn tech through my property carefully explaining that my front yard needed the help - creeping charlie, crab grass etc. When we got in to the the back yard, I very clearly stated that I do not want ANYTHING being used in the back yard that will kill my clover/grass lawn. Its taken me three years to have green in my backyard that stands up to they heavy traffic of dogs/guests running around the pool. He assured me that he understood and would make a note. Fast forward to their May visit. They sprayed front and back with weed killer. Apparently my conversation with the tech in April never made it into my records. My clover is all pretty much dead/dying. Calls to them go to a central call center not the office in Andover MA that serviced my property. I have been told twice now that their supervisor will call me. And I am still waiting! I am fighting for at least a refund and cant even seem to get that. You will have a good experience until you dont and when that happens there is ZERO accountability. My suggestion, if customer service is important and you dont want to have to babysit the workers, then look elsewhere.

Absolutely the worst. I cancelled in 2019, they still kept coming in 2020. I tried cancelling in 2020, they still kept coming. They ignore requests to cancel and even after telling there people to get off my lawn they bill for refused service. Stay away from these guys.

I was billed for an additional service without my permission, after having previously told the company I had zero interest in having additional services provided as quality of the service was unsatisfactory. Completely illegal stuff.

First year with this company replacing another vendor and so far so good - very pleased.

The spray that they use for mosquitoes is great But no one is on the same page with lawn treatment I really liked him up until right now and they say theyre going to be out one day and they come 3 days early and then they come again two days later

Awful service, terrible communication

We have used True Green a couple of years now. Last year was terrible. One employee only sprayed the front and never went to the sides or back yard. The weeds where out of control. It looked like they put weed growth down instead of weed killer

Never in my life have I had such a difficult time accomplishing something so simple. Prepaid for one year worth of treatments (8) and started noticing crab grass. Not a big deal, but I called to let them know and they said theyd send someone out for a free crab grass treatment. TWICE a lawn specialist came out and was simply going to re-fertilize my lawn a week after my last fertilizer treatment. Both times the lawn care specialist said they didnt have anything to treat weeds on their truck. Had to call the national number several times and they kept putting in for a crab grass treatment, but for some reason the local branch wants to ignore the note and just try to drop down more fertilizer and be done with it. If i wasnt home, both times they would have just re-fertilized my lawn and probably burned it. Finally I was able to get a local branch manager to call me back after contacting the national number a third time, and the manager insisted someone would be out later that day (yesterday) to take care of the crab grass. Surprise, surprise -- no one showed Since the national TruGreen center is insisting theyre putting in the right notes and my local branch (Andover, MA) is ignoring it, I guess the local branch is to blame. Dont hire TruGreen if you live in the Andover, MA. The service has been an absolute joke

Have used Trugreen for 10+ years. Full Lawn and Tree/shrub treatment. A large portion of my lawn was dead. Trugreen came out and determined that there were active Grubs. They plan on doing NOTHING until the Fall. SO my lawn looks lousy the whole Spring and Summer. Refused to give refund or timely service.

DO NOT USE!!!! Horrid experience every time. Application for mosquito & tick not affective. Would not return calls for reapplication as promised or advertised. Applied an unauthorized application of fertilizer to a 4 week old $10K sod application when all that was supposed to be done was a soil test and lawn care plan discussion. Refused to return phonecalls local and their 800 #. Police report was filed for legality purposes as directed by my attorney. Brand new lawn was the greenest and now yellowing after TruGreen fertilizer was applied. Still no call back so pursuing legal action against the company.

I have been using them for almost 10 years. This year a huge patch is dying and they wont address it. Not sure what Im getting for hundreds of dollars...

I hired TruGreen for full weed, fertilization control. I paid the full season in the spring of 2020. I would receive notifications that they would be at my property, and then I would get notified that they came and serviced my property. Being home, I can assure you that they NEVER came to my property. After speaking to them several times, they said they must have been treating the wrong house. Is that my problem? Also, Andover was the location of the office i contracted with. Try calling them! Impossible. Try leaving messages for them to call you back! Well you can leave messages but they will not call you. After speaking to the headquarters, and giving them my complaints, they assured me they would send someone to look at my lawn. He came, he told me it was clear nothing had been done. He said lawn needed to be thatched. I showed him the online receipt saying it was down two weeks before he was there. He said it was never done, but I needed to call Andover, MA. Well you cant. Stay away from this rip-off company.

stay as far away from this corporate #*%&$ show as possible. Everyone you talk to on the phone says something different, you get harassed with automatic appointment reminders for appointments you never set or even after you cancel. They told me I could pay installments then 3 months later I get a letter from a collection company. Thanks Truegreen! do it yourself or go with a local company. Two thumbs down!!!

They have great employees that care about there customers

After the lawn was maintained by TruGreen for all of 2018, the below picture is my lawns current condition - what looks like streaks of dormant or dead grass caused by a spreader with perhaps too much fertilizer or the wrong kind since this couldnt have been caused by my 52 mower as the streaks are too narrow. BEWARE, since I cancelled the account one week prior, they no longer warranty the service rendered. This repair is coming out of my pocket.

Technician arrived on schedule, was very courteous and seemed interested in the plants in the garden that he was treating. I did notice that some of the tender leaves on a number of the perennials appear to have been burned by the liquid fertilizer applied. I am hoping that the damage is superficial.

As A first time customer I had an appointment set over the weekend and no one showed. I called in only to get the run around and no call back.

I recommend TruGreen to keep your lawn as green as the best golf course. If your lawn doesn t look the way it should, then you need TruGreen to treat your lawn the way nature intended. TruGreen cost is reasonable and affordable. If one is not satisfied with the results, TruGreen will do everything within reason, to work with their customers at no additional cost. I have had to call Trugreen back for weed control and they came out promptly. The technician did a thorough job and was courteous.I like the fact that you can call to have them back and they dont give you a hassle.

Off to a slow start due to rain. First service was fine and lawn looks improved. Anxious for next round.

I have no idea why all the great reviews. I signed up for the multiple application service this year which is supposed to happen automatically. There wasnt an application yet where Ive havent had to call to get on the schedule for the treatment. And this most recent one, they didnt show up at all. 2 months now and no lawn treatment at all. So much for the automated prescribed plan. Ive already done my complaining/whining to them multiple times. Clearly my business isnt important to them. Btw - When this was the Scotts service, they at least showed up.

They are aggressive in signing you up for all of their services and packages. But the actual treatments are spotty after the first application and often charge you the full amount during Summer months when they dont actually fertilize and only spot treat a few areas for weeds. Ive asked them to cover the entire yard multiple times but the guys didnt even walk around the entire house even though the service report states otherwise.

True Green Andover is terrible. They say they will be there then they dont show up. They said they did a soil sample, i asked them for the results, then I had to follow up and they said they didnt do one. I cancelled the aeration and seeding service over the phone and by text, they did it anyway and charged me. I cancelled because the yard was going to be loamed the following week, and it has been. They said they would credit half the charge back. They did not. I followed up again, they said the Manager has processed the credit. Two weeks later I had to call again, because the credit was not processed. The Andover branch of True Green is a disaster. 12/3/2019 Update- True Green refunded the entire Aeration and over seed charge, so moving to 3 stars. The costs are OK, the approach is cookie cutter, so requires some active management in my opinion on the side of the customer.

WORST LAWN CARE COMPANY EVER

This is great lawn care service and pretty good deals and every thing was great and worked

professional, and explained how they were going to treat the lawn today.

They came last year 2017 three times in a two week period and totally burnt my lawn out and ruined it. That came out looked at the problem and told me that they would come back in the spring of 2018. Give me too soil and hydro seed it. An outside company called me in the fall to tell me they would be out in the spring. I have an email from the manager too proving this. So now it s spring and I call, they tell me the manager doesn t work there no more so they come out and air raid my lawn and over seed it. It s been 3 weeks no activity and now no one calls me back. Don t know where to go from here, one thing I can assure you that don t trust there word or emails if this happens to you. I m going to have to get a lawyer now and take it to the next step.

Poor product, poor customer service. They do not honor your request to be put on their do not call list. These guys are bad. Stay away. Find a local landscaper to assist you with your lawn care needs.

Lawn looks worse then ever. It was explained to me that reason for the problem was the ban on water. But that didnt stop then for seeding and fertilizering. Canceled service. Do too getting unsatisfactorily assistant. Customer service is the worse . I guess when they loose enough customers things will change then.

After my last lawn treatment I was encouraged to get grass plugs for the thinned out areas and recommended that I put some top soil on this area as well. I called to have the plugs put in and Tyson Downs came out to give me an estimate. I approved the estimate and I have contraced with a person to bring the top soil. This has always been a hard area to get the grass to grow but it is improving and with the top soil and new plugs I am sure it will beging to grow well again.

I hired this company for my lawn care. I cant give negative review else i would give -5. Because my house is brand new development, its not on Google gps yet. So actual guy from Trugreen came to my house and give me price. I paid in full. So they know Before I signed up where is my house. After that no body showed up for 1 month. I was keep calling twice every week about whats going on. They were claiming that guys actually did service somewhere. Now no body did anything at my house. Finally i spooked with manager, and one guy showed up, and he buttered us and said , now he updated his system, and I dont need too worry at all. After that for another 2 month, no body showed up, and i was keep calling Trugreen once or twice a month, and each time, they would get direction and update my SAME CALL PHONE number, so next time technician can call me before , if he cant find my house. Then, cycle continued about, calling them and nobody showing up and wasting my time. And did i say, what happened to my lawn. Very poor service. And I live 9 miles from Boston airport, not in any remote place.

Horrible....They missed applications consistently to the point where my lawn was full of crab grass. Dont waste your time, look for a more reliable company and save your lawn

I have only had positive results from all the different treatments during the spring, summer and fall season. My lawn and shrubs havent looked this good in years. I trust the knowledge of the employees who treat my lawn. They have always been pleasant to talk to.

Avoid using Scotts Lawn Service. They came to my house and sprayed pesticides without my consent or authorization, and left me a bill on the door. I called customer service and they apologized and told me I would not need to pay for the service, but my lawn turned brown-yellow in 24hrs, and getting worst by the day! It makes me so angry. I attached a picture because this is completely true. Do not request a quote from Scotts Lawn because even if you dont want the service, they will still come and do it while you are not at home and then bill you for damaging your lawn. This is beyond abusive behavior. I cannot believe this happened, they totally ruined my lawn, and without even consulting me before stepping into my own backyard.
