Coastal Greenscapes installed synthetic grass at my sisters home in OC. Job turned out great. Our home is 60 miles from there but we still hoped CG would be willing to do the same job for us at a competitive price. And they did! Being so far from their home base, we had to work together to schedule our project but Phil was a pleasure to work with in that regard. We had a few extra needs that he was able to help us with too at a reasonable cost. When the CGs crew arrived on the day of the install, they were consummate pros. Arrived on time and completed the project in one day. Everything clean and tidy. CGs quality of service and price value are top drawer. I highly recommend this company.

Attention to detail, very happy with the work that was done at our home. We started out with them installing lighting in our courtyard, so happy we asked Peter the owner to the replace pool deck lighting. He was onsite to make sure the project went as we discussed.

Peter treated my mom like family, taking time to do the job just the way she wanted. He and his crew are courteous and prompt. They go the extra mile and do the work right. She had pavers laid for her walkway and driveway, artificial turf installed, a retaining wall built, lighting in the yard, drip system and a fountain installed, patio with drainage, and pvc fencing put up. He planted in the shrubs, flowers and tripalm. Everything was done to excellence.Thank you for making a beautiful and lasting front yard for her! Fast forward several years, everything still looks and functions great. She particularly mentions the turf installation, which literally looks like new. No bumpyness, puckering fading or visible seams. She continues to have people walking by ask her who did the turf, and has referred them to Coastal Greenscapes without hesitation. Peter came back to check out a leak from the fountain and fixed it without charge. If you want your project done right, call this company.

Good pricing

Horrible. Sold outdated product and never responded to requests for help. Update to respond to Coastal Greenscapes: The request for help came from Amazon where I bought the product from. You never responded to that request. You sold me a Hunter Solar sync that had a 5 year warranty and was dated June 2015 when I bought it June 2020. Their 5 year warranty is therefore expired on a product I bought 2 years ago.

Peter and his team did a phenomenal job installing the pet turf and pavers in our yard. Very knowledgeable and professional. Also called about a drainage issue and he immediately diagnosed/fixed the problem that same day. Would definitely recommend!

Nice folks, reasonable pricing

We were very impressed with Peter Hofsaess and his team. Starting from the initial appointment, they showed their professionalism and pride of work throughout the job. The artificial turf that they installed in our front and back yards look great. They are also experts with irrigation, and made sure that both our thirsty fruit trees and our drought-resistant cacti were getting just the right amount of water from the drip system they put in. Peter was happy to help me long after the job was completed, when I needed answers to some technical questions asked by the HOA. We highly recommend Peter and Luis and the rest of the Coastal Greenscapes team.

After 6 month grow something near edge, picture attached I paid $3765 for 600 SQ.FT, which did not meet HOA guideline, one reason is low quality turf. Phil said will charge again take it out and charge again replace new turf, The AD said have 34 years landscape experience. but Phil didnt know need to check HOA first. or he like to make profit 2 times?

I would highly recommend Coastal Greenscape! The landscape designer, Phil is very knowledgeable and answered any/all questions I had. Very professional and personable. His recommendations definitely helped me decide what type of synthetic grass I should get (pet friendly), style of pavers for my walkway and cant forget my bbq, fire pit and my lighting display in the backyard. He made the expeirence easy and created a landscape design to help me visualize everything I wanted along with his recommendations as well. The crew who installed everything did a great job and were able to complete the work less than a week. Just in time for spring break!

nightmare to work with this company. at the beginning everything can be done and no problem. lots of errors during the work and no fixes. Peter is nice but very adamant not to accept the errors or poor quality of some of his crew work have. total nightmare unless you have a lots and lots and lots of patience and ok with mistakes to hire someone to fix them!!! The only thing I was satisfied which seems aligned with other reviewers is the turf.

We had just bought a new house and Peters company was recommended for landscaping work. I am very pleased with the work that Peter and his crew have done. Peter was very helpful in working with me through all phases of the project from design, scheduling, .... to completion of work. His team did a great job in finishing the project with quality and high degree of professionalism. Peter himself was always available, checking the work in progress and guiding his team to finish the job in time and right. I definitely recommend Peter for any backyard project, either new or improvement, that you may have.

We reached out to Coastal Greenscapes among two other companies to obtain quotes for removing grass, large tree roots and building the entire courtyard with the wall. Although they were not the cheapest we decided to go with them because Phil, who came out to start the process, was heavily involved in helping us design and coming up with great ideas for us. Other companies did not give out that feel and they just wanted to get a mediocre job done and get paid. Phil was great with often visits to the site and making sure we are satisfied. The crew was also great and I have to admit that they were the best crew we have ever had and we have done multiple construction projects in the house. The job was just finished and the front of the house looks spectacular. Considering how detailed anal my wife and I are I was hoping we would find something for them to rework, but everything was completed as promised and they also exceeded our expectations to the point that we will be hiring them for another outside project in few months.

Had the front yard done by Coastal green scapes back in 012 then the back yard last week. Workers did an oustanding job. I retired the lawnmower the following day. Looking to cut water usage as well

Mat and his crew were very professsional. He came to my house and made some great suggestions for my small back yard. They installed a retaining wall , fire place, and low mainenance plants. I could not have been happier with the results. I was so impressed with the back yard I had them install a paver walkway down my side yard. All employees were professional and courteous. Matt came out and gave the estimate. Matt pointed out that I had roots in my yard that could create a present and future problem. The other two companies did not mention that. Any time I had a question he answered his cell phone. I had an installation date, the work crew was on time, everyone was great and they finished my 1100 square foot job in eight hours. I live in a corner house and my place is prominent so my brown grass really stood out. Couldnt be happier with the finished product. Neighbors stopped by asking who I used, Coastal Greenscapes.

Just had my backyard turf put in by Coastal Greenscapes. They did my front yard a year and a half ago. They arrived and, I think intended to complete the job in one day. However, the dirt in my backyard is terrible Costa Mesa clay. They attacked the ground with pick axes flying. They worked their butts of, literally. (As they were walking away, their pants were starting to fall because they had not butts left.) They called in reinforcements and completed the demo on that day. They came back on Thursday and finished the job. They did not indicate they were in a hurry to get it done because they were behind schedule or over budget (I assume). They took their time and made sure the job was done to the high standards that Peter of Coastal requires and I expected. The back yards looks great and really sets off the surrounding plants. They cleaned up everything and left the area cleaner than they found it. I would recommend Coastal Greenscapes to anyone looking for artificial turf.
