Amherst Nurseries provided spring/fall cleanups, snow removal and regular lawn maintenance for my property. They were professional and reasonably priced. John, the owner, went above and beyond to meet my needs for a spring cleanup on short notice. Snow removal was prompt. I highly recommend this company!

Student. Visited the nursery for a tour with the owner. I felt welcomed and the owner was happy to talk trees, soil, wildlife, farm equipment and more. Insightful experience and I came away thinking that Amherst Nurseries cares about the quality of their product and about educating people.

Amherst Nurseries is not only an excellent company to use for landscape projects, landscape maintenance, and cutting your grass, but they are also environmentally minded and good community citizens. They use an electric tractor lawn mower and they donated and delivered compost for a Habitat for Humanities House. When we used them, they were very responsive and went out of their way to make sure every detail was taken care of.

I've called & stopped by at least a half dozen times. I'm a local landscaper in need of about 10-15 shrubs for a garden redesign in echo hill. Nobody has ever called back & nobody was there during the middle of the day in the middle of the week. Extremely disappointed as this area has few nurseries who can accommodate my clients needs.

All the team members were well trained and professional. It's a super friendly, creative team lead by John, and they completed the project on-time and within the budget. Wonderful experience with Amherst Nurseries. The owner John and his employees are very knowledgable. We purchased 20 Arborvitae and 4 Holly bushes for our property.. They are all beautiful and well cared for. John was extremely helpful and patient, answering our questions. He even went out of his way to deliver them to us on a tight timeline. Absolutely the best experience in the pioneer valley. Highly recommend.

I called three times from England to order a cherry tree for my sister in Amherst in memory of my late mother. They sent me a product list with no prices and on the third call ( having left messages ) John the owner said he was busy and when I said I’d call Hadley he said he’d encourage me to do that! Hadley garden center was most helpful and it took me fewer than 5 minutes to secure the sale and delivery. They lost a big sale

Contracted Amherst Nurseries to chip and haul away several large brush piles. They were responsive, provided accurate estimates of cost, and very professional. The crew that did the work was polite, listened to what we wanted, and worked efficiently. They did a nice job cleaning the site before the left.
