Asked for a quote to remove basement drywall to prepare for future renovations. They came by and gave a fair quote within the week. As it was a bigger job, they needed to schedule me out 2 weeks, but it was a fair assessment as they were promptly on time daily and courteous to work with. Although I forgot to have a few items on their list, they were quick to ask and confirm the additional removal of debris. Overall they were a great company to work with, and I will definately be reaching out with more projects soon.

Had an estimate done on pouring 2 small areas of concrete in my back yard and removing rocks. After over 1 week of waiting for my estimate I called and the estimate was finally sent over. Maybe I m just overreacting but $3,000 to put concrete in my fenced in yard? That s how much it costs to stain a fence!! I have used this company once in the past for installing 2 big TVs on my house back in November which they did a good job but I won t be doing business again with them.

Asked this company if they could pick up junk we no longer needed. They came by picked up everything we wanted to get rid of. They even took a barrel of sand that we no longer wanted without any issues. Definitely recommend this group if you are looking for fast, easy and friendly service! They originally quoted me a higher number and I nearly cancelled. But they showed up on time and costed less than renting the truck and doing it myself.

Five stars they were professional and personable, reasonable rates, and helpful. Even though our project took longer than anticipated they did not charge us more than the price they originally provided and they taught us how to remove and install new windows and they removed a very heavy old stationary bike from our basement for no charge.

These guys did great removing a huge box of rocks from my basement. They got the job done in one day! Just make sure that the scope of the work is thoroughly understood at time of quotation. I did have to pay a little bit extra since one part of the job was not included in the original quote.

The wrecking crew came in and removed a super heavy piano and heavy woodstove. They also removed the carpet from the basement area where these items were at. Now I am able to start the rebuilding of our basement. I m very pleased with the response time, work ethic, and results from purple cow.

We have used Purple Cow Junk Removal & Home Services twice so far with our new home. Once for junk removal and the second time for replacing a lighting fixture (with associated electrical box and drywall repair). Also during that second visit we needed a hole for an air registered widened. Each visit, we got Kelly to come out and perform the job. Each time Kelly came out to help us, the job was done correctly. I cannot speak highly enough to the fact that Kelly was accurate with his work and took the time to do it right the first time. The first visit, Kelly could not get parts of an old bed frame out the front door by himself. He broke parts of the frame, bare handed, to ensure there was no damage to our home during removal. When we needed to widen the hole for the air register, Kelly discovered why the hole had not been fixed by the previous owner. Under the wood flooring was very durable tiling. Kelly went back to his truck, produced a hammer and chisel, and then he chiseled it out. This was done while waiting for the drywall patch for the new lighting fixture to dry. Efficiently using his time. I cannot speak highly enough of the two visits and the great work we have gotten from them. We did have to wait for their second visit because of how highly demanded there services are. However, I will definitely be waiting if I need to hire them again in the future.

I bought a house in Ames today and I was well aware the home needed some TLC. But it also needed some muscle. The sellers had left some larger items and debris throughout the home. I called Purple Cow on the recommendation of my buying agent and Im glad I did. They hauled two fridges with one full of food. They also broke down an old wooden shelving unit and other items left unceremoniously by the sellers. The best part? They were professional and empathized with my frustrations. They also made quick work of the removal. Listen when I say they are worth every purple penny!

I requested help with fall cleanup of our yard. They were excellent at communicating their schedule. I was told the crew was running late. Only one person arrived with a full trailer and a rake and shovel. Another person arrived a couple hours later with shears. I was working with them and in 3 hours they had accomplished what my wife and I typically get done in 2 hours. They kept busy but productivity was not what I expected for $75 per hour per person. With no real yard care equipment they were not prepared to perform the work.

Mostly OK, but didnt remove kitchen range that was supposed to go. Estimate also included sweeping and vacuuming and wiping down walls and other surfaces, and this appears not to have happened. Also have not yet removed barrel of used oil that was supposed to be gone by now. UPDATE: When made aware of the problem, they came back and made it right.
