tl;dr Action Landscaping is the only team I'd recommend for any landscaping project after their incredible work on our 1800 sq ft yard and driveway, and 360 sq ft garage floor. They completed the project in just sixteen days, delivering exceptional quality and service. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I was initially frustrated with subpar interactions from Black Diamond and Kosche, but I was thrilled to find Action Landscaping through internal recommendations from several fellow Googlers. From the outset, my experience with Action Landscaping was exceptional. James, the owner, met with me in person to understand my specific needs. Despite the overhead costing him, James insists on the practice of meeting in person because he can see the place. Don't be fooled by their team size or a small number of public Yelp reviews; James and his team have a reputation for high-quality work and have completed projects for many upscale homes in the Bay Area. He is knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely committed to customer satisfaction. He listened attentively to our project goals and provided expert guidance as if it was his own home. We promptly received the estimates with several options, mainly for cost comparison and we were determined to get on James’s calendar right away. Over the course of two weeks, we have seen the quality work of James, Teo and his team first hand. Their attention to detail and quality of workmanship were outstanding to ensure the work’s longevity. They went above and beyond, addressing even the smallest requests and exceeding our expectations so much so we made all the payments ahead of schedule. It’s hard to detail everything of the sixteen days, but we are so thankful and proud of our decision to have James and his reliable team help us. They are great people. It didn’t stop there. My next door neighbors, despite the dust, noise and inconvenience to them, had only positive things to say about the team. They worked hard. They were polite, courteous and at times watched out for traffic for them as the neighbors pulled out from the driveways. Do it once and do it right. We would hire James and his team in a heartbeat. They are always welcomed at my place.

We hired action landscaping to redo our backyard and front yard and I am so satisfied with our choice so far. Jimmy, Teo and the crew are amazing. All jobs, including pavering, concrete, retaining wall, planting, installing gazebo, replacing sprinkler and irrigation system, are well done quickly and smoothly. I’m super satisfied on the project for James and his crews. He explained with me very detailed and let me understand each process and why. And he is fantastic to help anytime on lots of extra request/ideas. He listens to what I need and provides valuable suggestions from professional perspectives. I quoted several contractors but chose him finally. Believe I made the right choice. Also his team also very nice and friendly to do what I need, no matter how hard and how much extra efforts it takes. You don’t have to worry that get a quote but got charged a lot more after. He is honest to give you reasonable quote and will guarantee the final bill. If you have extra requests, he will help as well. I would definitely recommend others to get his help on new projects.

Jimmy and his crew were great! They came every day and worked diligently. If I wasn’t satisfied with anything, he would change it right away. He is very responsive and we are very happy with the work. We had the front, side and backyard done along with a new fence!

We hired Action Landscaping to completely redo our front yard and backyard (new fence, decorative stone walls, paver patio, new concrete, new drainage and sprinkler systems). James M was great to work with, he listened to our ideas and found ways to accomplish our requests. He was flexible when we needed to make changes. We needed landscape work on our house and we received a wide variety of quotes - a dozen gave me crazy expensive quotes and were non-committal when it came to scheduling. James came to our house, provided a fair quote and provided very useful advice. He and his team arrived on time and completed the work over two consecutive days as promised. We identified a few more items and they came back a couple days later to finish up those extras. The work was professionally done with a solid walk-through of what was done. I appreciated their attention detail and their open to adjust the work as needed. I would highly recommend Action Landscaping and will be using their maintenance service.

James and his team did a perfect work for my backyard. Our grass was almost dying that needs to be replaced with new one. James clearly explained what he was going to do and gave us a reasonable quote. He also checked and fixed the broken sprinklers and drips. Besides, James resolved the problem immediately when he found drainage system was clogged. His team completed the promised work less than two days when the other landscaping company estimated that will be more than three days. I can tell the team is SUPER efficient.
