We signed up for a one time treatment for mosquitoes & ticks last summer. We were under the understanding that this was a one time treatment. To my surprise and unbeknownst to us, one of their technicians shows up a few weeks later to spray again! Thankfully I was here and told him we only paid for one treatment, not the ongoing treatment. He did apologize and said that "this is how it's usually done but if I don't spray you won't be charged". I knew nothing of it. So I called the office to cancel, and the receptionist said "we send something out at the beginning of the year, you can cancel then; I said no, I want to cancel now. I didn't like how a person showed up without my awareness or consent to come spray again when I only asked for a one time treatment. My wife and I had no awareness that this was an ongoing thing that we signed up for. The receptionist (can't remember her name as it was a year ago, said I was cancelled. Well, fast forward to now, and guess what happened the other day? One of their technicians shows up and is spraying my yard! I had to call the office again and explain to them that I had cancelled. The office worker claimed to have no knowledge or record of me canceling and said that I was still on the list for treatment Keep in mind, this was supposed to be a one time treatment last year! If it was some sort of ongoing treatment that we signed up for it was not made clear to us. We were under the understanding that it was a one time treatment. We are not pleased about this and feel that this is deceptive. We would not recommend this service just due to this experience. There should be clearer communication and transparency from the office, and it should not be made this difficult to cancel a service.

Very professional and obviously know what they're doing. Didn't try to push anything on me. The technician who came to explain everything to me was very friendly and thorough and the receptionist who answered the phone when I called was very kind and friendly also. I think their prices are reasonable . I would highly recommend them

I have had Lawn Doctor for years. I like the different options they have and also the different payment plans. We have no complaints , they do a great job. We also really like the Yard ARMOR.

I had previously used Lawn Doctor for 25 years. Recently I switched to a cheaper company. For 2 years I endured more weeds than before. Poor customer service and technicians lying about when they came. I made a big mistake when giving up LAWN Doctor. I learned the hard way. Lawn Doctor shows up on time. Their products work perfectly on my lawn. The technicians are professional and polite. You get what you pay for. Lawn Doctor deserves 5 Star ratings.

I've been using them for about 6 years now and I have had no problem at all. They did damage my lawn last year with their machine over fertilizing.When I called them they came directly to my home, looked it over admitted fault and within a week they came back and reseeded my lawn . 2 weeks later my yard was looking great again. Equipment failure happens, they did the right thing and fixed it!

The price is exceptional, if you ever have a issue, they are right there for you. If a technician doesn't arrive when he is suppose to, just call and they will call him and give you an update on any issues surrounding your appt. I've been with them for years and plan on staying with them as long as I can.

I have been a customer for about 10 years. When I first started with them my lawn was ok. Last year was a little crazy. Come fall my grass was great. No problems. When I do have a problem they check it out right and fix the problems.

I contacted Lawn Doctor of Altoona, PA in early June to help with a pesky weed in my yard (Speedwell). I signed up for their speedwell treatment & 3 fertilizer applications. After the first application, a 6’ distinctive yellow streak appeared in the grass along my driveway. A technician returned and advised that too much weed killer had been applied in that area but that with time and water, it would recover. While here, he said he was going to spot treat some areas of my lawn for weeds. A day later, I got a call from Lawn Doctor to tell me the sprayer pack used by the technician when spot treating my lawn had been mislabeled. They said areas of my grass would most likely die. They came back and ran their power seeder over these areas and advised that with time and water, they would recover. I called back a week later because more areas of my grass were dead. Again, they returned to run their power seeder and assured me that with time and water, these areas would recover. Over the next 5-6 weeks, I religiously watered my lawn (twice a day), and my yard looks worse now than it did before. Over a week ago, I called Lawn Doctor but have yet to receive a call back. At no time over the past 6-7 weeks have they called me to check on my progress or come back to see how things are going. After all, they damaged my lawn and have made no offer to refund me. I am furious! In effect, I have paid them to damage my lawn.
