We ve been using Heron since we moved in several years ago for regular service and rarely have bug issues. The techs are friendly and understanding that we have pets & give us a call or text before they arrive so we can get everyone inside & lock the cat-doors. Travis or Michael Simpson usually do our service - they re quick & respectful of our property and time: Anytime we ve had a bit more bug activity it s quick to schedule another visit in-between and have them treat inside if needed.

RJ does weed control and fertilizer and is a pleasure and competent. Insect technician also does great job. I called the office 6 times and waited 10 to 20 minutes...it just rang. It used to be 3 rings and how can we provide you excellent service. Now after merger and consolidation not being able to speak quickly with a human in intolerable. They will lose customers starting with me if they move away from good service. Problem with a bill....use the chat Bott. Whoever is making decisions to way to far from staff and customer.

Ive been using Heron for almost 8 years. The service when it first started was great. But over the years Ive seen it decline. My grass was plush and green for years and I would get suggestions when things needed to be changed. But for the last 3 years Ive watch my grass in the back yard decline to the point of no grass now even in the spots that get the most sun. Several times I would get notices that payment is due, but when I call them they would say you are up to date. As of today Ive tried several days to discuss another notice and no one answers the phone. As I write this Im on hold for 15min waiting for someone to answer. I think its time to switch companies. I receive pest and lawn care.

Im very dismayed at my decision to use Heron for lawn fertilization. I have spent many weekends pulling weeds by hand from my lawn (something I never had to do with my old lawn fertilization company). They promised a lot but have delivered very poor results. My grass is dying from lack of water but technician reports that he is following the UF guidelines. Really more concerned with dead grass in this drought. I got rid of the other services I had with Heron because my yard was turned into a weed field. Was really disappointed that people who call themselves professional let my yard deteriorate

So our guy is David, he is taking our yard from a disaster to something we are proud of, so happy we picked David and Heron. I highly recommend them.

Matt, who was originally my account manager was extremely patient in explaining the process to me as well as made suggestions and helped me implement a better strategy with my sprinkler system. He has continued to check on my service even though he is no longer my personal rep. I would highly recommend Heron and would personally like to thank Matt for being a friendly, diligent employee that takes time to make sure his clients are well taken care of!

Had to harass them to quote. When i finally got it they took my money for initial treatment. Technician rang at 4.55pm on the day they were supposed to do it to say his truck is in the shop.......... Now having to chase them to do what i paid for. I would avoid this company at all costs

I have used Heron for years. They were purchased by by Rentokil last year. They missed several months of service. When I called they wouldnt treat the lawn which they ruined and now I have a Palm tree dying. I asked for the manager. A tech came out said he was treating the lawn. My cameras caught him throwing a handful of fertilizer and a quick spray on the palm. He never finished my monthly treatment or even went in the back yard. Several calls and e mails went unanswered. Several posting on social media also had no affect. Dont waste your money. Youre Fired

We have been customers for approximately one year now. While the service is I guess good, we have had a few issues with them. The biggest complaint that we have is that after every service performed there is never any report of findings, takeaways or feedback provided. We have no clue whats going on. As a follow up we have contacted the office, spoken with management and they have committed to providing a report via email after each visit and yet ... this still does not happen. I wish that Heron would work on improving is communications with its customers. I feel it could be a much better company if this area alone could be addressed. Aside from the above, the service price is very good compared to competitors. Our lawn, after recovering from heavy drought damage that went unreported by the technician, is well on its way to filling in. Weed control does remain a reoccurring issue but its not an overwhelming one.

The techs do not inspect shrubs and lawns, they just come out of their trucks and start spraying something (maybe a basic multipurpose product?). They are doing it so fast and so sloppy that 80% (unfortunately I am not exaggerating) of my lawn and 50% of my schrubs are not treated while my walkways and walls get chemical stains. A report is emailed after each visits (lawn platinum care:$76, shrub care: $47). Watching my security cameras footages provide evidence that the reports are a scam. I only had the cameras covering the front garage before, but now I can see around the house and I realize that Heron has been taking me for a ride for a long time. The supervisor also doesnt come to check on the house or follow up if a concern is brought up (as advertised). Eventought Heron has been contracted for years, cutting and watering is done appropriately, my lawn is getting worse month after month, some of my plants are getting sick (see pictures). Pest control service is also a disaster so I am finally switching to another company that was recommended by neighbors. It allegedly appears that family owned businesses are a safer bet for these kind of services as they are usually prone to be more careful at selecting their techs and apply less pressure on amount of houses to be done in one day and cost of chemicals.

Terrible experience. The initial consultation they checked irrigation. Everything is fine. For 6 months, none of the reports to us mention irrigation. We start having an issue and ask heron to come out- guy immediately says irrigation. No- because NONE of your other 6 reports sga that- tried to get it squared away w customer service and that downstairs happen. HIGHLY suggest you avoid them- they do not stand behind their guarantee at all. Shady business practices-

Killed my grass and wont even fertilize it, unless i replant it.

I am a long time customer that is FED UP with the lack of communication and failure to respond to a very simple request. Due to catching a technician doing nothing except placing a sign in my yard and a note on the door claiming he had serviced the lawn, I insisted that service be done by appointment only and made sure someone was home all day. This worked for awhile but then would revert back to no notification of when they were coming, No knocking on door upon arrival, only cut and paste notes instead of personalized info on service invoice, no note on door, no Technician signature on emailed Copy of notes or invoice. When I call the company the Manager (Patrick) Is either unresponsive or politely condescending in that the problem is only resolved for a short time There is a spot on the service inspection report that ALWAYS says customer unable to sign. That is a blatant lie. No one EVER comes to the door to even ask despite numerous requests and demands that they do so. I guess hiring a new company is the only way to get this resolved. The only reason I am not dropping this review to one star is because of my mosquito technician, Jorge Rivera. He is very good. I always see him, I always know when he is coming, he talks to us, I know what he has done every time

THEY CLAIM TO SPRAY YOUR WHOLE YEARD BUT ONLY DO HALF AND CHARGE YOU FOR THE FULL. THE LAWN GUY HAS BEEN SPRAYING HALF OF THE YARD AND CHARGING THE FULL COST. Professional, friendly but most importantly effective.

Decided to try Heron and was charged ahead for lawn and shrub service. Was told they were coming last week for our first service. Received a call saying tech called in sick and they would come on Saturday. No one showed and I called the office on Tuesday, giving them a chance to show up or call again. Was told they would be there today. Still no one showed. Called and canceled service, will wait to see if we receive a refund. Buyer beware!

Heron has very professional and helpful technicians. We have been using Heron for 10 years and are very pleased with the service. Mike spent a good deal of time today and gave me helpful suggestions.

We ve used Heron for years now and they ve always been great to work with. Angel Garayua does a fantastic job with mosquito and pest control. He follows up on past treatments and always has a smile on his face whenever I see him. We also have the irrigation package and Don (Demarick Smith) always provides us with stellar service and great information. It s also fun talking a little football with him. These two definitely stand out, however, all their technicians are very good.

Professional and Personable! Everyone I have come into contact with at this company in person and on the phone is very customer focused. They listen to the whole issue then come up with a service tailored to your personal pest circumstance. They are easy to reach for questions and will come out anytime needed to address or readdress pest issues. I had a lot of roaches. One treatment solved most of the problem, then a bit of follow up to put on the finishing touches. They followed up with me after to ensure my pests were gone, which they were - No more roaches!. I have used Heron for many years and switched because of the costs. However, after many trials with other similar providers I never had the same level of prevention as I did when using Heron. So...I switched back 2 years ago and couldn t be happier with the service!

I hired Heron 3 years ago, after looking closely at 3 companies. This was after the last bout of hurricanes that came through Central Florida. All the debris sitting at the curb had caused some lawn damage and when i called these three companies, two of them said that the grass had to be replaced. Heron however said they would try to bring it back, thus the reason i hired them. I thought they were the best thing since apple pie, and i became an advocate their services. So far you would think this was a great review and that the marriage was permanently successful. However fast forward 3 years and for a period of 4 months the lawn which had been green and beautiful for the better part of those 3 years started to look burnt patchy, and deteriorated. I started the process of raising the issue with Heron and asked if someone could meet me at my property so that we could see the situation and move from there. They sent someone out but at their own time and this manager concluded that it was lack of water, this of course inspired very little confidence since the watering system is on the same schedule it has always been on. Having dealt with Lawn companies on the commercial side i know this to be the go to position when attempting to justify any shortcomings, so this really took a toll on my level of confidence. I installed cameras so that i could monitor subsequent services and after 2 cycles i elevated the complaint again since their remedial applications where not making a difference. The cameras revealed spotty application and the problem on the lawn was also in some areas. This was congruent with my thoughts and the fact that an outside company trying to sell their services left an evaluation on my door clearly identifying lack of fertilizer and chinch bugs as the cause. keep in mind that i had also doubled the watering time just to make sure nothing was and Heron made an irrigation inspection to make sure. I finally spoke with a manager after several attempts and having to call a couple of times to restart the process. He mentioned the possibility of having changed the chemicals and that he would investigate and get back to me. Needless to say i tried using payment as leverage and i was informed that the account was on hold due to $56 owed. I explained to the operator tat the manager had not called me and that the reason for holding payment was to force action, I havent heard anything back from anyone and we are now on month 5 or 6 of this issue. I am waiting for someone to call me and then i will fire them unless they can explain convincingly some good reason for this lack of service, professionalism an coatomer service. I truly gave them ample opportunity to deal with the situation and even since the last communication i waited 30 days to write this review, No business likes a bad review on heir company bit i was left with no choice.

The tech you get matters. After thinking they were the bomb after years with Massey, we sadly learned our tech Lucas was the difference maker. Despite clearly communicating what he did that was good to each new person who showed up they just did a quick job, being here less than half as long as he was on each visit. I asked them to thoroughly take care of a row of hedges, was told sure, then watched the tech from my window skip them completely 5 minutes later. Office manager didnt even ask a question when I called to cancel, obviously they dont care once they hook you. Back to Massey, well see what they do again for a while. Ugh.

This is a company of crooks. They take your money and plant fungus on your grass instead of treating your grass. Do not use for landscape treatment

Weve had a great experience working with Heron Pest Control the past couple of years. I feel that they are caring and understanding. Our technician Kirby is extremely helpful. He is very knowledgeable about all kinds of pests and knows the best course of action. Kirby has a great sense of urgency and is always available to discuss pest questions with me. I also like that they are effective but do not use harsh chemicals which is very important to our family with little children playing in the yard. I definitely recommend Heron for your pest control needs.

Because I was on his list for the day, the employee of Heron started work after most would have have gone come for the day. He worked for two hours, some of the time under a downpour, to complete the work. He explained what he was doing and answered my questions. I have generally had good experience with Herons workforce, but this was exceptional.

He has been servicing my lawn for a while now and has done an excellent job. We have had Heron come treat our house regularly for about 2 years now and we couldnt be happier. All of the workers who come out are friendly and great at their job. We first got them bc we had a mice problem, they took care of it and havent seen any mice since! Its been twice now that weve had to have them come out for additional infestation issues (because Florida), and both times they were quick, efficient, informative, and provided great service! So grateful that we have Heron!

I started service with Heron at my new home in October 2019. My first response to their pricing was that it seemed high but I gave it a try. My yard did not improve and more noticeably their mosquito service made no noticeable impact. We were trapped in our home after dusk due to the swarms of mosquitoes even after 60 days of service. I then price checked them and found I could get more service from Massey AND save +$1,000 annually by cancelling Heron. Heron then called and tried to drop prices to keep my business. All of sudden $300 service could be magically dropped to $200, and pest service could be included at half the original quote. The lesson is they tried to gouge me.

We have been a customer of Heron for a few years. We briefly stopped our service and immediately regretted it. The weeds were getting out of control and the grass lost its color. Since re-hiring Heron to maintain our lawn, we saw an immediate improvement thanks to our Specialist Eric. He is awesome! We have tried all the others and found Heron to be the best there is in their field.

Heron has done a wonderful job on my lawn. For years, I spent a fortune on it and it looked awful, big dead spots all around. Heron redid my irrigation system. It looks so healthy and green. Several neighbors have asked me how I did it, since we all used to talk about my terrible lawn.

My technician, Greg Tucker, is the best!! He always takes time to explain everything about my lawn. He even gets down on his knees and points out the various conditions of the grass blades to me. He differentiates between nutrient deficiency, over/under watering, insect damage and lawn diseases and treatments. Its like taking a mini-course every time he comes out. I recommend Heron to all my friends and neighbors.

Weve had Heron Lawn & Pest services for just over 6 months. We have seen a significant change in our lawn, thanks to Dalton! And we havent seen a cockroach or palmetto bug in the house at all this summer, thanks to Albert! Highly recommend!!

This company loves charging you upfront, so that there is no way for you to back out or get your money back when your lawn is not up to the customers expectations or they mess it up or just don t maintain it as good. I started with them they sent An experienced employee named Juan, he was great took his time and did a quality maintenance job on lawn. He came the first 2 or 3 visits of service. Afterward they sent a guy with no experience dressed sloppy sprayed my lawn and serviced it in less than 8 minutes. I mean literally sprayed the as he speed walked. Didn t look at troubled areas or anything didn t spray for weeds or anything I believe because my lawn was lost after 2 of his visits.. I called company complaining refused to make payment unless they fix it. Told them about in experience kid doing my lawn and even a few of my neighbors noticed and had the same problem! I had surveillance footage to prove it. They promised they will fix it. They sent Juan back out once again. I made the payment and then they never returned. They said that from now on I had to leave a card on Auto pay or pay a year up front. This company is just worried about getting paid before providing service, because it is a hit or miss.. so if you like gambling this company is for you. I refuse to continue to pay lawn company upfront with empty promises and inexperienced employees.

Horrible customer service and lawn service. Doveweed has overtaken our entire front yard. It takes forever for the technician and the Anthony the supervisor to call you back (if he ever calls back). After numerous messages and emails, Anthony finally called once but could not call back for an update of his findings on our lawn (still waiting). Alberto the technician didnt even notice the Doveweed was there. It has killed our St. Augustine grass. They are quick to send an invoice but documentation is lacking on what exactly they did. Its like pulling teeth to get any information on your lawn and to correct the problems. Do yourself a favor and find a better company. Dont throw money down the drain by hiring them. After 10 months, thats exactly what weve done.

Had to give one star as i dont have option to give NO stars. Stay away from Heron. After buying new house we opted for heron and was using the services for 1.5 years. We were quite unhappy with service and always used to think that lawn is not looking perfect . Service guy used to say some or the other reason every time he visited and thus 1.5 years passed by. When we consulted with other service provider, they said that most of the lawn has Torpedo grass and its been growing since many months. We called up Heron and asked for explanation but there is no response from them... Manager paid visit to lawn after multiple calls and apologized for Heron mistake but refused to replace the sod. The very purpose of opting for Heron services is lost because they are unable to maintain the lawn and they didnt have any accountability when they destroy the lawn. Its pure money waste opting for Heron and im regretting now as this Torpedo grass is not treatable only way to control it to some extend is to replace sod.

Had water company shut off my water due to a possible leak. Used 64,000 gallons and the home has been vacant. I found out when servicing the sprinkler system they set each zone to run for 90 minutes. Thinking it must have been a mistake I contacted them. The tech told me they are required to set the zones for that long because they are responsible for the lawn. Well Im responsible for paying the water bill. Im from California and out there you cant run a zone more then 15 minutes, 3 times a week because of water conservation. My yard was fine with 15 minutes, but somehow in Florida where it rains offen they want to run them for 90 minutes and expect me to pay the bill.
