Wow! , is the best way to describe our experience with Outside Landscape Group. From our first phone call to schedule a consultation to our final walkthrough (who knew you got a walkthrough for a yard?!), the service and performance was truly remarkable. Ray Arevalo met with us to discuss completely redoing our front yard landscape and irrigation, and address a few areas in our back yard. He listened, was patient, and understood what we wanted. The crew that performed the work was just as amazing. They were incredibly professional, cleaned up at the end of every day, and performed amazing work, including a difficult fire pit area that needed attention. The craftsmanship of this area was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. Overall, we could not be happier. This was a substantial home improvement project and was by far the easiest one we have ever done. From consultation to completion in a matter of weeks. We highly recommend this company.

I never used a landscaping firm before and didnt know what to expect. But my drainage and irrigation problems were only getting worse and it was keeping me from even growing grass. I called Outside Landscaping based on their reviews. Their landscape architect, Adam, came out to the house to view my yard. Our conversation was easy and enjoyable. He came up with a plan for my property and provided pictures of possible plantings to help me visualize the plan. I was able to ask questions, challenge selections (although I generally relied on his expertise) and arrive at final project goal. Of course, its all in the execution. I worked with three different crews during this project, including an irrigation contractor. Every single person was polite and incredibly hardworking. A crew manager that spoke English helped manage the work on a daily basis and a project manager from Outside Landscaping made frequent visits to provide materials and check on progress. There was always someone to ask questions of and get answers. Everyday, my property was left in as good a condition as excavation allowed. I was incredibly impressed by their hard work, friendliness, and commitment to excellence. In fact, halfway through the job, my experience with Outside Landscaping was so positive that I decided to have them transform my backyard as well. I love my new patio and plantings! I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking to complete a quality, timely, and beautiful landscaping project. I am the envy of my neighborhood; everyone is so impressed! Me, too. Outside Landscape Group did a complete rehab on my front yard removed all old and existing plants, added a retaining wall, replanted new plants/shrubs, and resodded my front lawn. They did a tremendous job! Ray was terrific as project manager William and his crew did great work and cleaned up behind themselves. I m very pleased with my new front yard and would highly recommend Outside Landscape Group!

I can t say enough great things about OLG. They did a full backyard/pool and front yard (landscape) renovation for us. Adam Huber, the GC, was just fantastic to work with. From his beautiful design ideas to execution.And he was open to our design input as well. The subcontractor for the pool (Neptune) was also great and did a stellar job. We have a particularly hard property to get permitted and Adam and Kerri were steadfast throughout the arduous process. We are thrilled with how everything turned out and have already recommended OLG to friends.

Our backyard re-design and construction went smoothly from beginning to end. From our initial call for a quote through completion of the job, we received timely updates and information from the design architect, construction crew and office staff. OLG impressed us with a design that works well with the uniqueness of our yard. We are very pleased.

Worse experience we have ever had with a contractor. We had OLG bid the install for landscaping (with a Blue Haven pool) and were promised many things for the sale. In a nutshell, the promised features of the pool were not there, it lacked many elements of the design, the pump has failed, the lights dont work and the pool leaks! OLG and Blue Haven have walked away from the warranty that was agreed to. The landscape installation was also lacking the professionalism that you would expect for the amount of money that was spent on the job. Most plants have died (with only a 90 day warranty), some plants werent even planted...but merely covered up with pine straw. The irrigation system was destroyed and the repair job was pitiful. The whole project lacked professionalism and the supervision was pretty much non existent. We have been left with a mess and after two years, still trying to get the pool to function properly. I would not recommend this company.

Awesome design and execution! I met with a few landscaping companies and chose OLG because they seemed to have the best vision for our project. They were not the cheapest, but for a small price premium I felt I got a far superior product. The landscape architect, Ray, came up with an excellent design to replace our front landscaping and address drainage problems in our side yard. He was considerate of our budget and even managed to include a few upgrades to the back yard that we hadn t thought of. Our HOA is notoriously difficult, but plans were approved on the first submission. The construction crew was top notch and finished ahead of schedule. We have received many compliments from neighbors on the new landscaping, and the new drainage worked well during recent storms.

I cannot say enough good things about Outside Landscape Group! We needed to create an extra parking space on difficult terrain. Adams vision of what to do in this impossible space was far and above the solutions that the other landscape architects suggested. His taste level is top notch - he is able to soften hardscapes with organic landscapes that make everything look like it was meant to be there all along! He runs a tight ship and delivers everything he promises and more! I would recommend them a hundred times over!!!

I want to recommend Outside Landscape as the work in all aspects was very good. Adam spent a lot of time with us on our backyard project describing our options and sharing things that we hadnt even thought of. He is an authority on trees, plants, scrubs and different grass types and shared his thoughts on the best options for us. At the same time he always is transparent about price and where would could find the best value, because we had clear limits on our budget. His team was on time and professional in executing the project, which was high involvement - including the removal of several large trees that were slowly dying. Now our backyard looks great and we can use it & spend time back there enjoying it. I really appreciate the work that they did.

We used OLG for a second time on a full yard landscaping plan after our first great experience over ten years ago. They may not be the least expensive, but they are a true value because they plan, communicate and execute extremely well. Their crews show up in force and knock out the job with great care and precision. Nothing was damaged; no filth remained. Were very happy with our new front and back yards along with our lighting system that they installed.

Simply the best. This is the second landscape project OLG has done for us and it wont be the last. They started by working with us to make a landscape plan. They spent a lot of time reviewing the site and discussing what we wanted. Our project took four days altogether plus one day for tree removal and stump grinding. Great attention to detail and careful work. For example they laid down plastic sheeting over the driveway when materials were delivered. They pressure washed the driveway afterwards. Communication was great during the project. The plant placement was perfect. In our case they installed a dry creek bed, about 100 feet or so. Three cherry trees and multiple other plants and shrubs were installed to make a nicely screened side yard area. Its perfect. Lots of mulch was installed, nice and thick and even. The sod is laid perfectly. Were there any issues? Yes, there were two small design changes that happened mid-project. These were handled well with no drama. The great thing about OLG is that they do the whole job themselves, no subcontractors (except for tree removal). They take the time to create a great design, choose the best plants for the site and the quality of the execution is second to none. Are they the lowest-cost landscaper on the block? No. Are they the best? Yes. See the photos below.

Outside Landscape Group regraded the lower half of our yard, installed new patio with a fire pit, along with boulders and steps to handle the grade change across the yard. From design to cleanup, everything was first class and professional. Ray handled the design, materials, and oversight of the crew. As the project progressed, he made a number of nice tweaks which made the final product even better, without any additional cost. Couldnt be happier with the result. You may find cheaper, but if you like things done right the first time, OLG is highly recommend.

Outside Landscape Group was amazing. Adam and his team were extremely professional. I had a lot of anxiety regarding the project and Adam reassured me but I was still very concerned given previous landscapers really screwing up. Adam and his team showed up prompt every morning and cleaned up at the end of every work day daily. Adam came up with a beautiful design for our backyard and terrace level and the team really brought it to life. We had major hardscaping completed, water remediation, planting of new flowers, and a new irrigation system. The team completed some backbreaking work and everyday I came home nothing was awry. We plan to have them come back. We did have to wait a bit before our project could be started say 5 months, but it was totally worth the wait.

A great experience! Adam was responsive and knowledgeable. He provided great ideas and a custom landscape plans for our entire yard that we loved. He worked with us on what we wanted versus what would actually work. The crew was always on time and worked all day on just our project. There was not any jumping around of our crew to other projects once they started. They cleaned up the site once they were done and worked with neighbors throughout the process to ensure we werent impacting them. The end result is amazing and were providing their contact to multiple neighbors for work that they want to have done.

We had an idea of what our yard could be like, but Adam brought it to life. We had a mix of wooded space, grass, shrubs, and flower beds, and Adam brought forward a design that brought the various areas together in a design that combined natural elements, foundation plantings, and hardscaping. We contacted Outside Landscape Group after two personal recommendations for their company and we are so thrilled that we did! We have been in our house with a huge back and side yard for five years with nothing but half-dead grass and mud back there and Rick had a great vision for what it could be on his proposal visit. Outside Landscape Group replaced our deck, installed a Cedar fence and garbage can enclosure and designed and installed the landscaping around our pool and house. Throughout the recent upgrade and our 2013 project, Outside Landscape Group performed with the utmost professionalism. We worked with Adam for the recent project, he was outstanding. We added a retaining wall hardscape and also removed trees, plants, sod, and non-functioning drainage pipes and installed a new irrigation system. I love driving up my driveway again! Our front yard was in bad shape. We had trees blocking the house, old sprawling bushes, vines, and generally tired looking landscaping. Adam came up with a beautiful landscaping plan that fit our budget and, man did he and his team DELIVER! They transformed our front yard and curb appeal for our house. Please advise your drivers not to use the Yield sign at the intersection of Westside PKWY and Hembree Rd as a green light, when they clearly have a red light turning right. They fly through there and whip their large landscape trucks into the intersection. One almost hit me this morning, and I had a green light. This is not the 1st time I have seen this, just the 1st time reporting it, as it is becoming a standard.

Diseased plants and poorly designed irrigation. I paid $20,000 for landscaping a small yard. I was happy to pay the price because I thought it would be a full service quality job. I could have done it myself for a fraction but thought I would save my time and energy for other parts of the yard. I m getting older and don t want to injure myself doing something I could hire someone for. They mortared what was supposed to be a stacked stone border. The foreman said Rick never told them, but I showed him the pictures from Rick s plan. I should have had them redo it. I just told the foreman to dig out as much mortar as possible. A poor decision on my part to settle since it was my favorite part of the design. They installed diseased plants. Yes, obviously diseased the day planted. The day they were planted, I told Rick that the coneflowers didn t look good. He said a little water would perk them up. After a week I researched the black spots and withered stalks to find that it is a disease that coneflowers particularly susceptible. I can t imagine any landscaper taking one look and not recognizing the disease. I have a slope so steep it is impossible to climb. Rick talked me into removing the existing steps and installing a drip line so I never have to go up there. I thought it was a brilliant idea. Unfortunately, the drip line is 2 feet too far from one bush and it died. My hose can t reach to water it, even when I climbed part of the slope. The first week, the drip line popped a tap out creating a waterfall at the top of the slope. After falling on the slope several times, I was able to climb it using the fence to pull me up. I had to pull up and move the drip line because it was so close to the tap, at the wrong angle, that it was impossible to attach the hose. I sent them an email five days ago along with the pictures they requested. I got no response, but did receive a nice gift basket. I would rather have someone climb the slope and remove the dead bush and replace the diseased flowers. The arrangement of plants was nice and the quality of the flagstone driveway border is beautiful.

We had Rick and his team do the landscape design and install for our new home. Weve been very pleased with the working relationship and final product produced by Rick, the office team, and work crews. His crews were complimented by other contractors working on our house build... courteous, professional, hard working, quality work, and great clean up. I concur!

Rick and his team recently came out and re-landscaped my entire yard. His team removed all of the old grass (weeds) and replaced it with fresh sod after they filled in the sink hole that developed over the years. They added some beautiful trees to create a virtual fence between my house and my neighbors, a new stone walk way around to my deck, new bushes and created islands around my trees with the red mulch that I requested. I couldnt be happier and look forward to spending more time in my yard. Thank you Rick!

Great company to work with!!

The surface of our 25 year old pool was crumbling. So, we needed to have the pool and pool deck resurfaced. Our pool renovation company told us that if we needed any major landscape work done that might vibrate the ground (tree removal, land grading, demolition, etc.) that we should get that done first. We needed an architectural design and implementation for our backyard to include hardscapes, (rock retaining wall, fire pit, boulders, dry creek river rock bed, concrete patio and walkway extensions), land grading, drainage, plantings (numerous trees, plants, flowers, and sod), irrigation, and outdoor lighting. They recommended Outside Landscape Group, a landscape company with whom they had worked on projects with in the past. After meeting with Rick (the owner), he went back to his team and came up with a beautiful design for our backyard. We agreed to hire them and they put us on their schedule. They just finished 2 days ago and our backyard has been completely transformed in just a little over 2 weeks. The project started when they told us it would start and they met with us the day before to go over the entire project timeline. They even had a portable restroom delivered the day before for the workers to use. Adam (Landscape Architect/Project Director) and Sean (Operations Manager) are very customer focused, always kept us informed on a daily basis, stayed on top of every aspect of the project, and promptly got back to us by telephone or email if we had any concerns or questions. William (Site supervisor) and his crew of workers were just amazing. They were a very friendly and hard working group of guys. They showed up every day at 7:30AM and worked nonstop (with breaks of course) until 5PM. They even cleaned up the site as best they could before they left. Every evening I would walk back there and could not believe how much work they had accomplished in one day. On the final day, the team did a very thorough cleaning of the site and pressure washed. Adam met with us that day for the final walk through and went over every detail (plant care, maintenance, pruning, watering schedules, how to use the new irrigation system, how to use the lighting system, etc...., etc...) and he answered all of our questions. He even presented us with a nice gift basket to thank us for our business. When we walk out into the backyard now, the first thing we say is WOW! I cant believe this is our yard!. It is absolutely beautiful and turned out even better than expected. We could not be happier! We will definitely use Outside Landscape Group again and highly recommend them to anyone needing a top-notch landscape design firm.

They advertise on their website and other sites that they service several Atlanta counties, including Gwinnett County. They are even listed in the Home Reports guide for Gwinnett County. I called them and after explaining to them what I was looking to get a quote on, I was asked to be placed on hold to get me to the right area? Its a landscape company, didnt know there was specific areas within that but, I took the time to explain all I was looking to get quotes for. Got placed on hold, someone answered, and had to tell them the same info ALL OVER AGAIN! After I explained for a second time and was providing my info(I live in Dacula, in Gwinnett county!), they told me they do not service my area? Then dont list Gwinnett County as a service area, or specifically state which city or cities you do or do not do work in within the county!!
