Ive had 2 applications thus far, spanning a few months and have both new and existing weeds. The property is just over .6 acres. The last application (over two weeks ago) did kill in some areas but not others, which leads me to believe that the spray was not applied in some areas. Time will tell but Im on the fence. This is a service relationship where you can talk only to an operator, never the driver unless you catch him at your property. They dont supply drivers with phones, but they do have a tablet. The app only gives you accurate updates when the driver is actually on the way to your property but not through the whole route so you dont have an exact ETA, even if you do it is very likely hell be delayed. Bottom line, try to be there while the driver visits your property to ensure all areas are covered properly. Then you can assess after the applications are applied. Youll know where to go from there.

When Kenneth arrived today we talked about some spots that are appearing in my yard. He checked it out and told me it was red thread, which is due to all the excessive rain we have had recently along with high temps. He told me that TruGreen can take care of it. I was very pleased with work done today and Kenneth couldnt have been nicer.

Andrew the Service Technician took the time to explain the product that was applied and how it would kill the weeds in my lawn within 2 weeks. Im a little skeptical because the weeds seem to be getting worse all summer long.

After making a mistake on my lawn service TruGreen made it right. Top notch customer service!

We have been using TruGreen for YEARS - and we always have problems with them. They are forever mixing up our treatments with the neighbors. We caught several of the lawn care workers just sitting in their vehicles and not doing the work they were intended to do. We had to come out of the house to see what the issue was. The customer service isnt that bad. They are trying their best and it is not their fault because they are following the policy of the company. They raise the price on you every year thinking you wont notice it, but we always call to get it back to the price it was because there was no prior notice. We still use TruGreen, but if we could we would like to see more umph within the workers.

This TruGreen Office is not reliable. Technician claimed he was at my home but was not. Was told new service would be provided in 3 days. Received notice today they will be there next week, 7 days late. I would not use this office.

They do a thorough job and I hardly ever see a weed.

Killed my grass

I initially had some start up issues but I am starting to see nice results. Communication has been good , results are starting to show.

Weed control was good, but I thought Grass seeding was very poor and would not recommend.

For what is paid for the year and the results I got from that, I can do a better job for the same price or lease.

My father-in-law (age 78) has used this service for at least a decade. He had been billed & had paid faithfully. He was contacted in October of 2020 about lawn care for the 2021 season. They agreed for a March, 2021 start date tentatively. My father-in-law died in February, 2021 because of COVID. This company claims that it is not allowed to knock on the door to obtain pre-approval from the homeowners by mandated pandemic guidelines. They did not notify or verify the service with anyone. They treated the lawn & left watering instructions in 38° weather?? When I notified them that he had passed away and that they did not do their due diligence to verify the service order, they refused to issue a refund. People, protect your elderly parents and grandparents from these types of companies that take advantage of them. That lawn treatment was useless in this weather. It was a waste of time & money. I m posting my review on every search engine I can find. Covid is not an excuse to rip people off or take advantage of elderly widows.

I signed up for TruGreens one-time aeration and seeding service ($250+). I also signed up for TruGreens seasonal lawncare program (over $600 for the season). They were supposed to show up at 1:00 for the aeration and seeding. 10 minutes before their arrival I received a text message saying they canceled at my request. I never canceled. I tried calling and there is no direct line for customer service, unless of course you are trying to pay a bill or sign up for more services. Good luck trying to speak with an actual human if you have any issues with your service. Just look at the Owners response below -- they just copied and pasted their response to every other complaint and provided some (likely unmonitored) email address. Absolutely zero effort in the realm of customer service from this business. After not showing up for their first appointment without providing any notice or reason, blaming their no-show on me (the customer), and then failing to provide any outlet to speak with a customer service representative, I fired TruGreen. Since then, I signed up for the same services through a local business that provides much cheaper rates and has great customer service. I advise everyone to do the same. Go local.

True green cannot be trusted to apply the proper amount of product to your entire lawn. Their service is not worth the money.

After 5 months, my lawn looks worse than when they started and no response from them when I have complained. Trying to get in touch with TruGreen is very difficult, many menus and long hold time, unless you press 1 for a new customer, then they are prompt to answer.

They are the worst. They were supposed to be spraying my trees so they would stay healthy. Lost more than a dozen very expensive trees in the last year to them. Not one time did anyone say anything to me or talk to me about anything else that could have been done. Would not recommend them under any circumstances. Total waste of time and money. Avoid like the plague. Also tried to charge Me for service after I fired them.

We had tree & shrub treatment.

This is an awful company. I used them for four years. In the third year I was complaining that my back yard had a whole bunch of weeds and looked nothing like my front yard. I questioned them if they truly were doing my backyard. They claimed they were and told me the manager for my territory would contact me. He never did. Last year was my fourth year with them. I saw them three times only doing my front yard and leaving. I called them to tell them I m paying for front and back yard so please do it. They told me the manager would call me. He never did. After the fourth time of seeing this I said I want refunded for the season. They clearly aren t doing their job. They escalated my case and finally a manager got in touch with me. He said he would talk to the technician who was treating my yard and call me back. He never called me back. I called again and they said be claims he did call me back and told me I have completely different grass in the back yard than the front and that s why there is a drastic difference between the two. This was a lie. He had never called me back and discussed this with me. I stupidly gave them one more chance where they said they would put a sign in my backyard to let me know they were there. They never did that. And then they aerated my yard, but only did the front. I called and canceled and said I m not using this company anymore. I have paid for four years for this service that I truly wasn t receiving. They gave me a hard time for leaving and have been calling me since to come back. Do not use this company. I shared my experience with other people and so many people have told me this happened with them as well with TruGreen. Save your money and check out somewhere else.

The service technician (Logan) is personable and does an excellent job while servicing my lawn. I have a fenced in back yard and he makes sure he treats both the inside and the outside area of the fence which isnt always easy. Nice work!

Your customers call me 20 times a day on my personal cellphone number because you have your font weird and they can not read it. Needs to get fixed and Ill delete this review.

We paid $459 for a year-long treatment plan. We had issues with dandelions and clover and a little bit of weeds. Our lawn has been treated four times and it now looks worse than it did before treatment. Our front yard is littered with crabgrass. We have been in this home for nine years and have never had issues with crabgrass. There is now more crab grass than normal grass in our lawn. The past two times technicians showed for service they did not knock on the door to alert me that they were here. The last technician literally sprayed during a thunderstorm. I did not know he was here until he opened my storm door to leave the receipt. I have video of him sitting outside my house and a screenshot from AccuWeather at the time showing our address in red and heavy thunderstorms. When I questioned Trugreen they said he should not have sprayed during heavy rain. I contacted True Green about the crabgrass and a technician came back out to treat it. After two weeks I still have a yard full of crabgrass. It s just purple now. Update 8/08/19 Technician showed up at 6:43am today when I have called and spoken to a service rep and added to my scheduling notes not to come before 9am. And as usual he did not knock on my door to alert me he was here yet the receipt says I knocked on your door to alert you I was here. Sorry I missed you TRUE GREEN IS A SCAM. IF I DONT SEE RESULTS BY FALL I WILL CONTACT THE BBB

Poor customer service (hung up on me twice when I had complaints about their service), and nagging phone calls to restart service after I had clearly told them I no longer wanted to do business with them. Poor to mediocre results on my property, not worth the price.

Horrible company. Service - fertilizer Grass is now almost all dead they do not test or evaluate just spray and charge . On one occasion the true green employee did not know I was home. He made one pass across yard the sleep in truck for 30 min then left. Mosquito Total joke save your money.. the German guaranteed it would work but I can tell you it did not. Tick spray... Again total lie ... sprayed last season and had one son and two dogs get liams... Customer service will not take my complaint. But some sales person calls every other day.. Horrible xan not get them to stop... if they call and they will hang up

Specialist not very friendly. Walt walked right by me and said nothing. I was sitting in my driveway. We were told that it customer rep would be out in 3 to 4 days. He came out in less than 24 hours. Did not ring the doorbell and claimed that we were not home because we did not hear he s knocking at our door. Very bad experience today.

First let me say Trugreen is fantastic for the yard unless you have dogs or small children. Beyond that dont do it. Im finding someone else next year. For the 2nd year in a row someone showed up to service my yard at 7am. I had no idea. No phone call prior that Im supposed to get. No sign in yard. How I found out? I took my dog out this morning and about 20 minutes later I see a bunch of what looks like dipping dots all over him and my carpet. Thankfully my 2 year old was still asleep and didnt get into it. What would of happened if I let her out in the yard with us like always? I call and I get a sorry we can take 10 bucks off? I dont want a sorry I wanted to know how in the world this can happen twice? If you dont have pets or young kids? Its a fine company. If its not the case then I cant reccomend not using then enough.

Great experience, New service guy, Zach, gave us some helpful hints in keeping our lawn nice. He was very personable and professional.

These guys have no idea what theyre doing. They half-assedly applied fertilizer (note the streaks), and burnt portions of our lawn. I will never use TruGreen again and discourage everyone from giving them business.

My service tech, James Hyatt, was helpful and knowledgeable about the service, and took the time to explain anything I had a question about.

Service tech showed up, sprayed half my front lawn and then packed up and moved to the next house. They were contracted and I pay for my entire lawn to be serviced. Id watch out for this scam, its likely happening to those who arent at home watching them.

I have very mixed feelings about TruGreen. I called them as I needed to get 4 hemlocks on my property treated as they are infested with wooly adelgids and wanted get that taken care of quick. Ive also had tick issues in the yard in past years and wanted to get ahead of that issue. The positive: price wise tru green is very fair. 4 tick sprayings was ~$220. Its also nice that they give you an automated call a few nights before to know when they are coming. I would guess that most of their service guys are very knowledgeable. The one service guy, Dustin, was awesome and I thank him greatly for addressing the issues with my hemlocks once and for all. The negative: tru green is a big corporation with local offices. Therefore there can be a ton of miscommunication as the people you talk to on the phone are not the people who do the work or even manage the branch location. When I first called I explained to the guy on the phone my issues, he told me which services would fix them (they call them all by vague names) and then signed me up and billed me. The first two times they came out I was at work and they left vague handwritten messages saying what they had done - none sounded anything like the hemlock treatments the guy on the phone had sold me. After playing telephone tag for over a week and talking to numerous people (often in totally different states) it turned out that the sales guy had signed me up for the wrong treatment service and that the trees I wanted treated had never been so. It also then took numerous additional calls to get the billing, ect. fixed. Like I said above, the on-the-ground servicer Dustin was huge in actually getting to the bottom of things and addressing the hemlocks properly. So moral of the story: Good price, and I believe a good product. But be very wary the actual application. I would not sign up for anything unless you are actually there to ensure it is being done properly.

The TruGreen service and experience are second to none. With Tyler as our professional, there is no doubt in mind mine that he will do the best job appropriate for my property. He is an excellent communicator and very hard worker going to great lengths to keep his customers satisfied and Delighted. The products administered to our lawn for control and fertilization do the job every time with no adverse affects to the environment. My lawn has NEVER looked so good! Thanks Tyler.

I take great care of my lawn and have learned that Trugreen treatments are better than anything I have applied myself from home centers. My current specialist Alex Hernandez does a superior job applying the treatments, covering all areas, and not missing spots. I am very pleased with Alexs service !

I have been a customer of trugreen for for several years. Many times during the course of those years I was left with the job of reseeding various parts of the yard for various reasons. This year, however, I am pleased to say that I didnt have to do that. Alex Hernandez, my lawn specialist for this past summer was responsible for the change in my lawns appearance. Not only was Alex polite and professional but he always took time to let me know he was there and what he planned to apply to the yard. If I had questions he always had answers. This was not just a job for Alex. He truly took pride in what he did and how the lawn looked. Alex is a real asset to trugreen!

Horrible Service, I always thought that due to the economy being in rough shape, it would be custumers market. Custumers were cater to knowing that were making these companies rich. This is not the case for Trugeen. We order Trugreen almost three weeks ago and they promised to provide the firist treatment within two weeks. They never showed. After two weeks, we called them numerous times. Each time their excuse was that they were backed up and they would be there today, in which they would never show. By this time, our grass has been sufficated with weeds and looks a mess.

Very difficult to work with. Not friendly. The woman on the phone was rude and got confrontational with me. She told me that perhaps I would be better suited for a gardener. This was in response to my 5th request to please have someone call me the day before they show up, so that I can take my dogs elsewhere and not have them running through the chemicals. TERRIBLE customer relations. On the other hand, the gentleman that comes out to manage the lawn is always wonderful.
