After being with your company for several years now, I do believe they might be getting it right.

I am extremely pleased with College Fund Landscaping. They have my yard looking wonderful, and they always show up on their scheduled day. I had Hawthorn bushes that died as a result of the winter storm, and they did a great job of removing them. You cant go wrong with College Fund Landscaping.

I had contacted your company about your guys leaving our trash cans in the alley and not returning them to their correct spot after mowing our grass. I have been using their service for over 6 months now and the quality is awful. I regret switching to them. I requested that after they mow to just use the edger. They continue to use the trimmer around the lawn edges and it looks awful. They are trimming it down very short around the edge of the lawn instead of just using the edger

I do not use College Fund for landscaping, but my neighbor does. They show up at 7:00AM once a week, EVEN ON A 4TH OF JULY! While their office is closed for the holiday, their people are working. NOT cool in my book. And whats up with 7:00AM mowing? Yes, its hot, its summer in TX, but they can start at 8am or 9am, or hire more people to cover the work to compensate for late start. Last thing I wanna hear at 7:00AM is a leaf blower, especially on a 4th of July! Calling front office is pointless, because they dont return your call as my other neighbor did that. Happy 4th of July! EDIT: it is 7:05 on a Labor Day 2024 and I get to enjoy same sounds again. To the owner: your response to my original review is BS. You can also hire more people or heres a crazy thought, grab a lawn mower and help out during those short weeks. And while your office is closed on said Holidays and you get to enjoy your 3 day weekend, your employees do not get that luxury. Some holidays fall on Monday or Friday, making it a 3 day weekend for them to enjoy. And yes, its annoying to hear lawn mower at 7 am, and yes it gets hot in TX and yes, I mow my own yard but never at 7am in consideration of my neighbors who have smaller kids and how just might not wanna hear the sound of my mower at 7am.

I cant leave my backyard gate open all day. I can give you the lock code so you can work on my back, and side yards. I understand you mow high for growth reasons, but it looks so sloppy and undone

He asked to come by the next day, and he was very polite and apologetic. So, I did sign up for one of their programs. Hopefully, its smooth sailing from here.

I have asked multiple times why you keep not cutting the grass in my back yard. I even requested and had 2 managers come to my house to see what I am frustrated with. Black fence in back yard doesnt end my yard, all the way to the Brown wood fence needs to be cut every week like the rest of the yard, hasnt been done in 3 weeks and looks bad. I have also asked the manager team to watch how the flower beds look on a regular basis. They are very over grown with weeds AGAIN. Why I have to ask you to do your job is very un professional. I have sent multiple e mails and called and still you cant get it correct. Please let me know if you arent going to uphold your end of this contract. You dont have a problem charging me for a half way done job. As an active member of Allen/Fairview Chamber of Commerce and now the McKinney Chamber as well I will share my experience with the community. All Im asking is for you to take care of my yard so I can relax when Im not busy. Im definitely not 100% satisfied.

Very pleased with the results of college fund. Have a new built house with dormant sod (probably laid in oct 23) that hadn t been through a growing season. After 3 months as a customer, the Bermuda is thick, healthy, and green with a noticeable reduction in weeds.

Very poor communication, been waiting for 2 weeks to get a quote, after the guy came and looked at my grass, called a week after to make sure they have my email address and my phone number correct, and mentioned to the lady I have been waiting for a week to get a quote, waited another week then have them a call again, and the lady told me oh some one should have called you, but I will leave him a message to call you, and nothing still , then receive and email with the title quote attached , which was nothing attached, I reply to the email , letting them know I got nothing still and again , nothing, the only reason I wanted to deal with this company is because it f their good reviews, but that wasn t a good start and there are many other companies with good ratings

College Fund Landscaping as usual doing five star landscape maintenance work. We recently met with their then landscape manager to have extra things done to prepare our home for the market. We are so impressed with the level of workmanship done by their crews. Unfortunately nothing came of the estimate we were promised but were eventually told the individual we met with no longer worked for College Fund. We were then informed that CF did not have a landscape manager. That was it. We were not referred to anyone else who could have made an estimate for what we needed-sod, garden bed stone for the back, mulch for the front. Unfortunately y all lost our business for that which was disappointing as CF would have done better work than the team we went with. So as far as maintenance they rock five stars. But management that gets into Hardscape, sprinkler systems etc they lack in.

They took care of our weeds and our lawn is looking good!

I really wanted to work with this company! In Aug 2023, I reached out and had them come and look at my lawn. I was told I would be emailed a quote. A week or so goes by and I hear nothing. I reach out and am told this will be escalated. Still nothing. April 4th, 2024, I get an email asking if I am still interested in their service. I say that I am and would like to have the job quoted. The next day, I get an email back they they are not taking new customers. So many questions... the email indicated that the company is undergoing management issues (not a direct quote) and I just hope that they figure it out. Based on the work they have done on houses near me, it is beautiful.

They arrive on their scheduled day, spray the yard, leave a door hanger that the yard has been sprayed and leave. It works very well for me. If I have a question and call the office they are always courteous and handle it quickly.

I am a bumper crop of acorns in my front yard, my front garden and on the sidewalk and driveway. Just a total complete mess. College Fund crew cleaned it all up in a very timely fashion. I was totally impressed!!! Totally worth it!!!

The CFL team always does an excellent job on our yard. They are careful not to let grass clippings blow into the pool and they sometimes alternate week to week with horizontal / diagonal lines when they mow the front yard. It looks very nice.

I ve used CFL in prior years and they were really good. Seem to have gone downhill since then. I signed up online in February to begin service again and was emailed a date of 2/14 for service. I didn t get the usual email the day before notifying of the service date. Our 4 dogs, who are outside all the time (with dog door access) were locked in all day and they didn t show up on the 14th. I called and they told me I was moved to the 16th. Then I called again on the 16th to try to get an approx time of arrival. They told me 1-3pm. Ok great. Kept the dogs inside most of the day again on the 16th. CFL didn t show up. I was supposed to get a call back on the 16th (today) and as of yet I haven t received any update. We keep a really busy schedule and it s extremely difficult to wait around on 2 separate dates expecting someone to show up. I m giving 2 stars because in previous years their service was good, prompt, and effective. But the recent experience has me looking elsewhere for weed/fertilizer service. Disappointed. Edit. CFL went out of their way to make things right. I appreciate the effort to resolve things.

I contacted College Fund Landscaping to re-sod my backyard after completing a backyard project. They also provided a very nice and functional hardscape in one area of the yard. I am very pleased with their responsiveness on providing an estimate and very timely installation. I would certainly use them again for future needs.

Problems always occur, but the way Steve responded kept me as a customer.

We have our lawn service through College Fund, and they do an excellent job with the mowing and edging, and skim clippings out of the pool if they fall in. We appreciate the ability to schedule for every other week, instead of weekly, for mowing and that we dont have to bundle in another service like weed or pest control to be eligible for the mowing service, which weve experienced with other companies in the area.

Left this company as they were billing me an additional $10 p/mo for almost 12 months and had I not caught it, I wouldn t have been reimbursed. This company was good at first but I believe got to big and very expensive and lost their good customer service in the beginning! There are cheaper and better companies out there with much better customer service

Surprysently, I realized that they blow our patio after they sprinkle the lawn chemical treatment, small thing made them professional and trust worthy !

Had my landscaper drop on me last minute and I reached out to CFL and they got me on the schedule within a week and have done an incredible job. My favorite part is payment - just drop my card in their online portal and DONE! Dont have to worry about checks or cash or any of that, it just takes care of itself and my local landscaper was only a couple of dollars cheaper per mow for far less service and professionalism. If you go with CFL you wont be disappointed.

This company is the real deal. Excellent Customer Service and extremely knowledgeable regarding weed control. The 2023 winter was a horrible year for weeds, but after just 2 treatments, my yard looks fabulous already. We had a fantastic experience with Mark at College Fund Landscaping and wouldnt hesitate to use them again. Wed been fighting with St. Augustine for years and after our initial consult with Mark (Landscape Sales Manager) we knew we had the right company. After talking to him we went with the wide blade Zoysia and he took the time to ensure they had good quality sod coming from the sod farm before setting up our installation. He and his team were promptly on time and watching the process of scalping and shaping the existing soil before adding good soil and fertilizer prior to sod installation showed us their group were professionals. Wed also had several folks over the years for various sprinkler issues, so we thought our sprinklers were fine; however, Mark and his team also talked to us and helped identify and correct some areas where we werent covering sufficiently and had no idea. We also had a couple of post install questions and Mark and his team lead showed up quickly to discuss and adjust for us. We couldnt be happier with the consult and installation services. We have an HOA mowing service, but I wish we didnt so we could use his team to help us maintain what they installed for us!

I had an issue once with the lawn crew not picking up the debris and leaves on one side and they immediately addressed it. I only did 4 stars due to rate. While I understand everything is going up in price - several of the services I d like to use are overpriced compared to competition. But basic lawn and fertilization with them is worth the higher price!

We do the weekly mow and all the lawn treatments and are very pleased. Have been using College Fund Landscaping for several years. Had a few problems with how I wanted lawn done but they came out to see what we wanted done and then took care of it. They checked back several times to make sure everything was done like we wanted it.

They have done many jobs for me in the past 2 plus years. My only complaint; they refused to bag the clippings from mowing. Otherwise, the service has been excellent!!

My neighbors have recommended CFLs services, and I wanted to work with them for my front yard landscaping project. However, I have not been able to communicate with them or maybe I wasnt able to explain clearly what I need. I left my house/contact details to representatives two times, but nobody got back to me. Besides, there are some mixed messages about how they give an estimate. Sometimes, they say it is prepared based on satellite images, sometimes I am told someone will stop by to see. I cannot really understand how they can work on an estimate, before seeing how many and what type of scrubs, plants, etc. will be needed. And when I call their office to follow up, it usually goes to the voicemail. Im sure they are pretty good in their work-as everybody mentioned-, and therefore quite busy nowadays. However, good communication is also an important component in services business.

For the same price I was paying my last yard crew they do weed & pest control and fertilizing. They are also open to special requests I m very picky about The length of my grass and they accommodated me with a great attitude. Great value for the money.

When I started with College Find landscaping, it was all green first. Our lawn turned heads in our neighborhood because of its lushness and near zero weeds. Then starting last year, it turned heads weirdly with blue lawn. Then it went downhill from there. Our lawn is complete shambles. Recently guys are mostly mailing it in, some eye wash fertilizer , no visual checks for weeds, can t even see what they do anymore.

Wonderful people, customer service and service quality. The 4 stars is only because of the required treatment plans. They used to offer mowing services only, but now require treatment plans every 4-6 weeks, which feels excessive and is expensive. If treatment plans were 8-10 weeks or not required, then 5 stars absolutely. I understand treatment plans were added as a required service because they use their equipment on treated and untreated yards and there was concern debris from untreated yards were causing weeds for other customers... I suppose you cannot make every customer happy but I do think CollegeFund tries, it s just not working for us anymore sadly.

I cannot say I have been overly impressed with this company. This is actually the first landscape company I have ever used, and it has been anything but stellar. I signed up with CLEAR indications of the service I wanted. #1 The first bill I received had an add on service that was not requested. (much more expensive) than the requested weed control and fertilizer treatment service signed for in the contract. #2 Also, at sign up, I was supposed to have a discount for the first bill, but was charged the full amount. Side note: Once contacted, the excess charges were removed. So kudos for that. #3 I have only received two treatments to date. I was supposed to have a treatment 3 weeks ago, but due to issues with equipment, they advised they would email me to reschedule a date when they would be coming out. To date... I have received no communication from the company on the status. Overall I have to say I am really disappointed. We have never used a landscape company (skeptical) and we were willing to give this company a go. I specifically picked this company because they give back to kids with college scholarships and was excited to start service. Unfortunately, I do not think we will be continuing service with this company.

french drains installed, pea gravel pathway and small rocks for areas that will not grow grass. Had an issue with the pop up drains, but someone came out to hopefully fix that. Still waiting on a good rain to see if things work properly. They also saw that the pipes were clogging with dirt and recommended ways to help solve that. Still waiting for the grass to grow help filter the accumulation of dirt in drains. Confident if I still have issues they will address it.

They did an excellent job of clearing out all old shrubs and landscaping in front beds. They chose a layout and plants for new landscaping. Everything looked so clean and updated. And, when a few plants died before the 14-day grace period, they replaced them, and all has been good since.

Our yard would not grow much last summer and the backyard was sparse. Both front and back this year are thick and green thanks to College Fund. Well worth it and highly recommend the fertilizer treatments.

Mostly went without a hiccup. During sod estimates, care should be taken to fully communicate and document expectations with their service team. I had the understanding that sod would be placed in a particular area, and as the crew was wrapping up, it had not been installed there. A quick call to my service rep, and a little insistence that they finish the work, solved the mistake. It is of note that before the final area was covered, there was 1/3 palate of grass left over (you pay by the palate, and it includes labor). A palate being over $600, had they not finished as Id intended (only as they had intended), this could have left a significant gap in what I paid versus what I received. I get that estimates are estimates; but also tape measures are tape measures. 1/3 seems like an outsized margin of error. However; After following their instructions for care, and thankfully having a very wet May, I have a gorgeous lawn full of St. Augustine.

In April of this year my grass was pretty much gone! All I had was weeds and bare spots with mud. I hired College Fund Landscaping and they saved my lawn. The people at this company are fantastic, there is always someone in the office and the crews that come out do a fantastic job. My grass has grown in so beautifully and my flower beds look gorgeous. We are very pleased with this company. They do exactly what you asked them to do. They even do extra. They use a blower to blow the extra grass seed off of the side walk! No one does that . We are very pleased customers.

Overall, happy with the services provided and yard is looking good. Had a couple issues with some areas of yard being missed during treatments; however, after calling to discuss they promptly sent someone out to correct and made notes in file so that it wouldnt happen again. Great customer service! Also really like the email reminders and automatic payments.

Just began our service with leaf clean-up and with fertilizer application. They did a wonderful job with leaf clean-up, we have 2 huge Red Oaks in the front of the house. Excited to see how the rest of the service goes. Front office very responsive to our needs.

I hired them to install a gravel bed for a dog run and install new edging at flower beds. My estimate was itemized and clear, the crew was quick and efficient at doing the approved work, the estimator checked on the crew during the process and made sure the details were as I wanted them as it was being done. I had a good experience and already plan on using them in the spring for more bed work.

I purchased bi-weekly mowing and Lawn Treatment Program when I started taking care of my new front yard in summer 2021. I have been with them for 6 months and my front yard is good so far. I got fungal issue in fall and it spreads out gradually. I purchased GADA from them to have the fungal issue treated. Its a four-treatment program and fungal treatment is one of them. So far it seems its under control. Recently the price for the Lawn Treatment program raises up by 20%. I deeply understand the challenges they are facing (material cost increasing and labor wages) but 20% would be too much, comparing with peers in north Dallas area.

Great quality, very professional in the work. Oscar was very knowledgeable and very responsive. The cost of the service is bit expensive.
