Kingstowne Lawn and Landscape is a solid performing organization. My lawn looks great! I can count on them to keep it looking great! They provide service with instructions for after care. They also trim my tall cedar trees twice a year. They look great now! I receive a notice before they coming in advance of the day. I appreciate that immensely. As I observed the team this morning doing the annual aeration, seeding & fertilizing, I saw the same preciseness, thoroughness, and dedication that I see with every team that takes care of my yard. Kingstowne did a complete yard renovation for us which all the neighbors have admired. Weve had cars stop to check out the work. After the reno, we signed up for lawn care. The crew assigned to us has been prompt, and extremely careful to details.

Expensive, mediocre work, and impossible to cancel. I rarely take the time to provide poor reviews, but my experience with Kingstown Lawn has been sufficiently negative enough that I want to help others avoid this company. Rates are extremely expensive. My townhouse lawn is about 10 x10 and I thought it would be cheaper and more convenient to have it mowed every couple weeks than to purchase my own equipment and maintain it. I was very wrong. I was charged $23 a visit and they showed up every week, even when my lawn didn t need to be cut. The work was only noticeable because they showed up on my Ring doorbell which is how I knew they came around when I was at work. I had to call them on multiple occasions when I first signed up to continuously re-provide my credit card number to set up the recurring payments I asked for upon first establishing services. Renewals are a joke. They send out contracts and ask you to sign, implying that s necessary to continue service, and even when you don t sign and return the contract, they just renew it anyways and keep coming back. I sent email traffic to formally cancel my account and I m still receiving invoices unpaid invoices despite my autopay. Just not a company I would ever willingly seek to do business with again. I gave them two stars instead of one because at least their staff is nice. Only thing positive I can say about them.

Ive used Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape for years to keep my small yard looking good! They are affordable, provide great communication when they will be doing my different services, and Im always pleased with the way my hedges and yard look when they are finished.

Ive used Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape for several years now, ranging from a major redo of our front lawn to more routine lawn and shrub maintenance. They have been consistently professional, timely, and service oriented.

I have used Kingtowne Lawn for two years. The insect control was ok, but I found their terms and billing confusing. They had a very extended period of service - lasting from April to November. The literally showed up on November 30th and when I said we didnt need mosquito control in the winter, they said they had until the last day of the month to spray. I thought I had paid all of our invoices, but apparently was confused about a bill I received in December (for the Nov. 30th treatment). Instead of calling me, they sent us to collections (for a $69 bill). We have canceled this service. It wasnt worth the complications.

I am currently using KL&L for my landscaping,and in the past have used KL&L for installation of my stone patio, tree removal, and fence replacement and sealing, and now most recently, for power washing and sealing/staining of my fence and wooden deck. They ALWAYS deliver top notch work! I couldnt be any more impressed and satisfied with their most recent work on my fence and deck. They not only met, but far exceeded all of my expectations. I believe the value received from KL&L across the board is always well worth what they charge. Over the many years I have used numerous lawn companies, but none as comprehensive and satisfactory as Kingstowne. They totally superior to all the others I ve used.

They did excellent work on keeping up with my land care needs. They also installed a border for my front yard and did two beautiful areas in my backyard. I also have used them for house related work and they did a great job replacing all of my lights, renovating two bathrooms, and replacing some rotten wood on the front of my house.

Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape have been mowing my grass and providing light landscaping services (mulching, spring clean-up) for the past 9 years. They do terrific work. They show up every week on the same day and around the same time. They dont mow when it is pouring rain, so they dont tear up the yard. Theyve always done a nice job. The crew that comes to my house is respectful of my property, and the team at the office is always polite and very responsive to my email or phone inquiries.

This team is amazing! Thry are efficient, with an eye for quality and they do the extras without me asking. For example, I started trimming my bushes and flower beds for the winter and my tool broke halfway through. I left the trimmings onthe ground because I didnt have yard waste bags yet. They came 2 days later, finished all the trimming and hauled away all the waste and leaves while I was at work. That was an unexpected surprise! They also carefully maintained my yard while I had halloween decorations spread out in their way. Outstanding! We time them while they are here. 8 minutes and the whole yard us done including (half acre on a steep incline) cut, trimmed lines, blown and cleared. Incredible!

After interviewing four very reputable landscaping companies we elected to go with Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape and couldnt be more pleased. Having recently completed multiple projects over a six month period, Kingstowne proved to be everything a service company should be - professional, efficient, reasonable and most importantly - trustworthy ... a company that respects its customers and places their interests first. Starting at the top with our design consultant and project manager (Amanda) and proceeding through the ranks with the team leaders (Elias and Salvador) and their teammates (Carlos, Briceldo, Alan and Oscar) we found every employee to be exceptionally professional, personable, responsive, polite, and knowledgeable. Their efforts on a broad range of landscaping projects exceeded expectations and included: installing an environmentally friendly paver/gravel driveway, restoring/enlarging an antique brick patio, installing 270-degree house drainage system, repairing 125 retaining wall, installing accent lighting on house and grounds, building several different stacked stoned walls (fieldstone & colonial), installing slate and stone walkways, and enhancing the curb appeal with a variety of shrubs/plantings. Said another way, regardless of the type of work Kingstowne proved it could do it all - effectively, efficiently, and economically. During the course of the project, Amanda and her teams showed up on time, were quick to diagnosis how to best approach each task and were equally industrious in completing them. They also had the expertise, imagination and where-with-all to offer suggestions on how to fine tune the various projects slightly (as the spaces transformed themselves) to make the final outcome even more artistic and/or functional. Bottomline: It is obvious that the owner (Krisjan) has instilled an easily recognizable esprit de corps within his employees since they approach their work not so much as a job... but more as a profession... a refreshing change from the norm which makes a huge difference in the end result/product! In sum, Kingstowne is a gem of a company that operates with integrity, and which we intend to use for some evolving landscape projects in the future.

I ve been very happy with Kingstowne since we switched from our previous company. I won t name them, but I was very displeased when they increased their price by $15 a week without even asking/telling us there would be a change to our service. $60 a month may not be that much, but it was the principal of the thing for me that left a bad taste in my mouth. The Kingstowne business is very responsive and open in communication. I also like the fact that a day after the gentleman walked our property we had our quote and contract ready to go. The crew are a great group of guys and are always on time and clean up after themselves. Our yard looks amazing and it s all done efficiently at a fair price. Absolutely love this company and their professionalism. Well done.

I ve been a happy customer of Kingstowne Lawn and Landscape since 2000. They have taken care of my landscaping and yard care needs at three different houses: a small townhouse in Kingstowne until 2004, a large single-family home in Wilton Woods until 2019, and a large townhouse in Kingstowne since then. When I first called them, they were still very new. In fact, the two co-owners came and sat in my living room to go over a contract to mow my grass every two weeks! I was impressed by that personal level of service, and I have really enjoyed seeing their growth, which they earn through hard work, consistency, courtesy, and fairness. If they say they re going to show up, they re going to be there. I started out by having them mow my lawn, but over time I have used their services for additional things. One of the first projects they did for me back in 2002 was to build a small flat-stone wall and landscape the area around my townhouse. I just drove by there the other day and noticed that the wall and all the landscaping are still in beautiful condition after more than 20 years. That s quality! Later, when I lived in Wilton Woods, I turned to Kingstowne Lawn and Landscape for my Christmas lights, and they have taken care of them ever since. They also took care of a large yard after the gardener we inherited with the house proved to be unresponsive to our requests. At all three houses, they ve mulched and weeded and trimmed and pruned their staff is consistently well trained, courteous, and highly professional. In 22+ years, I cannot think of one single negative experience. They re about to do some interior painting for me for the first time and I m excited to give the job to them because I know how reliable they are.

I began slowly since having someone else do my yard work was not really appealing to me. Boy was I wrong! Kingstowne has exceed any expectations. Now Kingstowne is at my house almost every week. They take care of everything much better than I ever did. They arrive on time, discuss the jobs, and listen to what I have to say. I cannot recommend them enough. Their attention to detail, including those unappealing site preparation tasks, is fantastic. The workers show care for my property and they have pride in what they do, always asking if I am satisfied. The office responds promptly, usually within hours. I am treated with respect even when my questions are probably unnecessary. From my slow start, I am now looking forward to a longtime relationship with Kingstowne!

We have used Kingstowne Lawn and Landscape for over 10 years at both homes. They have always provided quality service for landscaping, patio remodeling, and drainage.

They do a good job, I gave them three stars because quite a few times, my lawn didn t need to be cut and the guys just try to cut something anyway even if it s just blowing a few leaves, they will charge the same. In the past, I have had landscapers call me and say hey we are at your house and your lawn doesn t need to be cut is there anything you want us to do and if not that s it and I m not charged and they don t try to find some thing just to charge me.

Kingstown did a full cleanup of all the gardens on my property which were a complete mess and totally overgrown with weeds. The job they did was absolutely superb and I now have a monthly maintenance program with them. My gardens look terrific after they are done each time. Called for an estimate Melissa said send some pictures with good lighting and we will get back to you tomorrow. They did not, and instead told us that they can t come until next week when we called, but they did send some pretty rude texts. Some customer service training may be in order.

I would never use this company. Just to get them to come to my house they would charge me $50 and would charge my credit card a week prior to the appointment even occurring. Terrible business model, wouldnt trust them. Ive had two bad experiences by contractors to have learned by lesson and would never pay a week ahead of time of having someone setting foot on my property.

Replacement plants plus new French Drain with existing swale and storm drain adjustments: Alan MacBeth, Kingstownes master landscape architect, brought his incredible knowledge and experience from the Butchart Gardens to bear in recommending new plants (Cryptomeria, Crispii Golden Hinoki Cypress, and Nellie Stevens Holly), appropriate placement, and a solution for a major drainage challenge (a French drain plus adjustments to the existing swale and storm drain). New plant quality was superb. Efficient execution by the Kingstowne crew with outstanding attention to detail under Alans supervision, including protection of existing lawn, final cleanup, and recommendation for maintenance and care.

They TOTALLY remediated a backyard drainage issue. Profesional attitudes for preconception of our needs a d proposed resolutions. Great workmanship of the plan.

I think the prices for these lawn services are very reasonable. I appreciate that Kingstowne Lawn allows me to set up an auto payment plan and sends me invoices electronically. Kingstowne Lawn offers many other services and I recommend that customers give them a chance to provide an estimate and really automate a lot of your exterior home maintenance. I have considered adding extra services such as semiannual gutter cleaning, but my experience is that pricing for some of these services isnt always as competitive as the lawn maintenance services. Otherwise, I continue to be a very satisfied customer and highly recommend Kingstowne Lawn.

Great lawn care team.. I ve been using for several years and they are the best. I currently use weekly mowing plan along with 10 treatments plan and my lawn looks great.

Alan did a great job of developing a plan to improve the looks of our front yard while keeping the cost down. On the day the work started Alan was there to ensure the workmen followed the plan. This was a pleasant surprise because on most home projects, we never see the salesman after the contract is signed. The workmen were very efficient and did a great job. We are extremely pleased with the end result.

This should be your lawn service (in Northern Va). Responsive to questions of brownspot and such. Reliably show up for treatments; clean, no-fuss billing, but mostly, and not just b/c its spring, the lawn looks terrific -- weed-free, uniformly deep green bluegrass. Cannot rcmd them highly enough.

I have a very, very small yard and after several years of trying to get it to look good on my own did some research for a landscape company willing to work with a tiny lawn and found Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape and have been so happy. I knew I had a grub problem but was unsuccessful in treating on my own and getting lawn to look good which they were able to do in one season. I also learned I had brown patch which they successfully treated. They respond quickly to my calls and emails with questions or concerns. Very happy customer!

Kingstowne has taken care of our landscaping needs for many years. They are probably not the cheapest but they are the best. I think we have a beautiful but kind of complicated landscape. They take careful care of our yard with crews that are friendly and courteous - nice guys who work hard and do meticulous work. We have the lawn care, plant care, edging and mulching, aeration and overseeding and leaf removal services.

They do treat the customer as Royalty! My lawn looks better than anyone else on the street. My neighbor joined as a customer (Thank goodness).

They were great in helping us plan and offering alternatives. Work was done on time, exactly as promised and with no surprises. Great follow up. I m relaxing on the patio they created as I write this. Will have Kingstown back in the fall for our next project.

Beyond disappointed. My first call was promising - the lady spent a decent amount of time talking me through options and next steps. What was highly disappointing was that this company dictated everything (having to book 6 - 8 weeks ahead of schedule, me having to take time off of work for this appointment mid-afternoon on a week day and requiring a $50 deposit up-front) and did not fulfill their end. The landscape designer emailed to say she was running 10 minutes late. 20 minutes after our appointment, I looked out the window only to see the vehicle pull out. Had the designer showed up on time, it would not have been raining. Perhaps she did not want to get wet? When i called, the landscaper claimed to have knocked and rung the doorbell. I was at home by 3:15 pm, 15 minutes before the appointment, and was waiting for her arrival inside where hearing the doorbell would have been clear as day. No doorbell went off.

Kingstowne have been excellent to deal with. They are professional, friendly and very reliable. They run their company in a very organized way, and their staff are all pleasant and polite. All scheduled appointments for dates of service have been kept as promised. This makes my experience so much easier. I dont have to spend time checking up or making phone calls to hold them to their promises. Our lawn started looking much better after just a few weeks of the lawn care maintenance program we signed up for. Kingstownes prices are also fair and reasonable. They do all my sons yard maintenance as well, and his yard looks immaculate. I definitely recommend this local company!

Great service and great customer service. Been very satisfied with both their lawn and house painting departments.
