Rosemont Landscaping and Lawncare in Alexandria

My neighbors use this company, and the workers blow the leaves in my front and back yard instead of disposing of them from my neighbors yard. This has been ongoing for a couple of years and has not been addressed by the company.

I have worked with several landscaping companies in the Alexandria, Virginia area and Rosemont Landscaping is clearly the best in the area. They give great service, are knowledgeable about plants and their maintenance, and they care about doing a good job.

Another great back yard clean up from Rosemont! The guys worked diligently (in the sweltering heat) and followed some complicated directions. Were very agreeable to our requests and did an excellent job cleaning up as well. I found their pricing reasonable.

I found Oscar and Rosemont through a neighbor, who couldn t say enough great things about them. They didn t disappoint. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and needed to turn my yard into a place I d want to hang out with my kids, but I needed help. Oscar patiently worked with me on budget, design, and timing to make sure I got what I needed and that it would require a level of maintenance I could sustain. It s been just about a year now and I can happily report that his advice was solid, my yard still looks great, and Oscar remains accessible and helpful if I have had any questions along the way. Rosemont Landscaping provided excellent services on two separate occasions. They installed landscape lighting in the front and backyards and it looks amazing. Also, they updated my irrigation system and made it much more effective and efficient. Thomas was great at communication and project design while Freddy and his crew had great attention to detail and went above and beyond on both projects. Working with Rosemont on our backyard patio and landscaping was easy and fun. Oscar, Marlon, and their team were so helpful and professional. Midway through their work; a massive storm hit our area but they took it all in stride, adapting to also help fix our shed when a tree went through it. We have been using Rosemont Landscaping since 2017 for various landscaping jobs: turf maintenance, mowing, yard cleanups, annual maintenance, tree planting, large bush/scrub removal, etc. They are always responsive, on time, courteous, professional, experts at their trade, and adequately priced. Their management staff, owners, everyone are all wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Been using Rosemont landscaping for about 5 years. They do a great job with lawn maintenance and also did a nice water drainage project. What put them over the top for me was a recent response on an issue with mulching - exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond to make everything right.

When they did do work it was good. However, they were very inconsistent with their work and I had to constantly call and ask when they would be coming out to do work as it seemed there wasn t a set schedule even though I had a contract. I would definitely search other landscapers before going with Rosemont.

I have used Rosemont since I moved to the DC area in Northern Va 5 years ago. They did all the landscaping initially and I have continued to use them for all my day to day and special projects since then. I need to thank especially Oscar who has always treated me ( as all their employees have, as family ). He responds quickly, efficiently and with utmost care to all my needs. From responding THE SAME day as a tree went down in a storm, to arranging and being there to removing it THAT DAY to taking me to see trees so I could better decide what to plant... he treats me like his own family not just part of the Rosemont family and he makes everything as easy and efficient as possible for me. I recently had a large retaining wall (105 ft long x 6 ft high) installed then filled with dirt to level out my yard by Rosemont. They did a great job dealing with county for the permit and structural engineer for the drawings plus the work was done flawlessly. From start to finish Sean and Trey oversaw the project and did a wonderful job. They were not the cheapest or most expensive and happy I went with them. They have also handled the leaves around my property for the last few years and always do a fantastic job. i have reffered them to many others and they have also had positive experiences. Hire Rosemont for your hardscaping and landscaping needs, they dont disappoint!

We are very pleased with the complete renovation of our backyard which included correcting drainage, excessive rock removal, leveling and sod. After years of neglect it now looks beautiful.

Oscar, Paolo, and the entire Rosemont crew did a SPECTACULAR job on my landscaping project!! My experience with them was flawless from start to finish. Oscar was knowledgeable about all of my existing plants, and was able to make valuable suggestions for alternatives or replacements depending on soil conditions, sun exposure, etc. It was clear from our first meeting together that he knew his product, he was confident but not overbearing, and throughout the process he ensured that I was happy with each decision along the way, especially with the final results. He was also so patient and flexible, and tolerated my indecisiveness with grace and professionalism. The crew, led by Paolo, was friendly, hardworking, and focused. They worked for almost 3 days on my property and not once did I see them distracted with their phones, they arrived each day ready to work, were efficient, and gave their best, 100% effort, and I really appreciate them for it. On the administrative side, Grace has been communicative and helpful. I am so, so happy with my project, Rosemont exceeded all of my expectations. I will look forward to having them back in the future and give them my highest recommendation. I interviewed about 6 potential companies and I am so happy I selected them for my project. I am happy to leave a review for this business. In September 2023 Rosemont spent 2,5 weeks redoing our back yard. We selected Rosemont out of 4 landscaping companies. We could not have been happier with the result. We have a small back yard but the project was extensive and complicated. We had roots from the trees all over the yard (which took 3 days of heavy manual labor to remove). Rosemont build a patio a, walkway, retaining wall, and a fence. They did an outstanding job. They were on time, professional, responsive, and went above and beyond to listen and accommodate our concerns. We worked with Trey Sutherland to design the yard. He oversaw all the details of the project. He treated our project as his own. I cannot recommend this business enough. We are very happy that we chose Rosemont landscaping to do this and we will be using them again.

It is rare these days to engage with a contractor who manages to exceed all expectations. We recently had this experience with Rosemont Landscaping & Lawn Care. We hired Sean Sutherland and his team to assist us with a row home back patio re-design and re-construction project in an established neighborhood in Old Town North. We can honestly say, we had a true partner every step of the way. The Rosemont crew was efficient and responsive. Working in a constrained space they accomplished demolition; regrading; installation of drainage, natural gas lines, electrical and lighting; a complete rebuild of fences and equipment housings; and the installation of nearly 300 square feet of cement-set flagstone plus a hand-chiseled firewall all within a tight timeframe helping us realize our vision with tremendous skill, dedication, and attention to detail. The entire process was a pleasure from start to finish and the desired result was achieved within budget and on time.

Rosemont did the most incredible job changing my crumbling patio into an outdoor oasis in two short weeks!! Sean, Oscar, and the team are all very responsive and upfront about timelines and costs, and were able to work with me to design and build two patios within my price range. The scope of work included in ground lighting, a gas firepit, and a gas grill, all of which was seamlessly coordinated by Rosemont. Clean up was completed and I can enjoy my patios for years to come! They have turned my hilly front lawn into a beautiful, lush garden and perform wonderful and timely monthly maintenance. They also just completed a gorgeous trash pad, cut into the base of my hill. Unfortunately, Rosemont crews have been systematically trespassing on our property for several years in order to shortcut through to one of their clients. We have informed the crews, Rosemont management, the client multiple times that this is unacceptable and unlawful. We are continually told that it will not happen again, but there is no change to the actual behavior. Police have been involved. I would hesitate working with Rosemont if, as a client, you may become embroiled in legal action.

The Rosemont team, led by Oscar Vasquez, completed a large-scale backyard renovation project for us, which included the construction of a stone patio, two retaining walls, drainage solutions, and landscaping. The team was extremely professional, responsive, and produced high-quality work within the projected timeline. We would highly recommend Rosemonts services for patio design and landscaping.

Our project was a large landscape improvement. From the very beginning, the project manager took the time to understand what our wishes and goals were, as well as our reasons for them. He then designed the project while occasionally making appropriate alternative suggestions in consideration of overall costs for us to consider. One of the most impressive things he did was to continually reassure us it was okay to change our mind during any phase, even during implementation, whether it be to cancel some aspect or add other things. The message clearly was that he and the company wanted us to be happy with the finished product - that it was our vision that was most important. Our project manage, the crew supervisor and the crew all did outstanding work!

At first, we were very pleased with the work done in our front yard and even had them come back a few months later to do some work on our backyard. We started noticing problems in the front with 2 trees on either side of our front door and some grasses planted nearby. The company sent an employee out and then an arborist who said that these selections were not appropriate for our front as they required full sun and we only get a small amount of sun, then all shade. The company then said they would replace the trees(nothing about the grasses) to the tune of $465. When I complained that I did not feel I should pay all this since it was obviously their fault(I hired professionals to make it right, not screw it up), they took $150 off. Not good enough! I ll do it myself in the spring and NEVER use them for anything again.

Asked for an estimate to do steps and walkway. Asked to split it in event I could afford to do only one project at this time. After 11 days received email - no attached proposal, simply text in the email. No breakdown between jobs. The bid was much more expensive than other bids (which I had received within 24 hours) and they wanted an astronomical amount for the handrails.

Oscar was timely, knowledgeable, and fair. The work completed was impeccable with attention to detail and quality. We would recommend this company for landscaping needs at an affordable price.

We hired Rosemont Landscaping for a large hardscape and landscape job. There were different crews for the various stages of the project. We were impressed (as were our neighbors) with every crews work ethic and the quality of the work. The job was priced competitively but I think the quality is far superior than we would have received elsewhere. This is the second time we have hired Rosemont Landscaping for our yard and we highly recommend them.

Since the date I moved to my new house, every Neighbord said no grass were going to grow in my backyard. I asked 3 different landscaping company and everyone said Imposible but The guys at Rosemont changed my Backyard to have a Nice beautiful grass. I have sold this company product for years, always easy to work with. I have seen many jobs that they have completed...impressive to say the least. I can only rate the quality of work in the hardscape division.. This is a great company and I would trust them to do any job at my house, first and foremost I know it would be done according to industry specs.

These pictures were taken within a few hours after they cut our lawn. The pictures are of space right behind a little wall we have. The kicker is we called a few days before and asked that they make sure they weed eat this space in particular due to them missing it several times. We have had issues with this company with them skipping our lawn due to rain and coming two weeks later, missing an entire month at one point. The ladys who answer the phones are nice but costumer service isnt good. I was expecting them to offer to either come fix it after I called and explained the re-occurring issue and sending them the pictures but that wasnt the case instead they stated they would fix it next time. I had to go back over their work which took about 30 minutes as other areas were missed not pictured. None the less if you pay for something youd like it done correctly and missing an area so large and overgrown isnt a mistake in my opinion. I dont feel like a valued customer.

Weve used Rosemont lawn care for big jobs and small ones. Most recently to remove an old tree. Every time, the are quick, efficient and high-quality. And if there are any issues they immediately fix them. Highly recommend them.

They must have plenty of new customer streams from it being a transient area, because they definitely dont care about keeping business from existing customers. They destroyed three of my plants within a month and I couldnt get anyone to return my call.

Find another landscaper if you have specific plantings in mind. You will get the run around from the owner if they plant something wrong. I asked for a specific tree to be planted in my tiny townhouse front yard based on the color and growth size so it wouldnt be too large; I was assured twice on email they would plant the specific one; instead I find a different type planted in my yard that a) didnt even have a tag on it to identify it and b) took the owner 2+ weeks of back and forth emails to even tell me what kind was planted. I went out of my way to contact local nurseries to find the one I wanted to have it corrected, communicated this to the owner, who delayed and now they are out of stock for a couple of more weeks. So it has been about a month now since the wrong tree was planted and it is still not corrected.

Ive used Rosemont Lawncare for 2 years and Im extremely happy with them! Great customer service, responsive, the work is very good and their prices are affordable. Ive seen them working in my neighborhood for years; keeping lawns neat and tidy. When we needed some help with mowing, edging and trimming, a friend happened to recommend Rosemont Lawncare because she had a similar experience with them. I called Sean Sutherland and even though he was swamped, he sent over Oscar to talk with me about my needs, their services and provide a free estimate. Highly recommend.
