The young man that was here was very nice to talk to explained several things to me that I had questions about. He performed the service then came to the door before he left just in case I had other questions. Great to deal with. I watched as he did the job and did it the same way i would have done it. He was not in a hurry to get going even though it was raining. He made sure he got everything and avoided a couple of areas with new sod like i asked him to and most important he did not cut my cable from Comcast lying on top of the ground. The sales process was easy but the service is poor. I ve tried multiple time to speak with someone locally about issues and service and they force you to a national call center. They message the local team to call me and no one has. They consistently cancel my service with no explanation, the app shows they cancel and there is no way to ask why or discuss this with the local technicians. Very frustrating.

This was my 1st service so it is too early to tell. The technician Donavan was friendly and explained everything to me.

Mason was spectacular. He worked really hard and you could tell he took pride in his work. He communicated with us before and after starting on our yard and even stopped after his work to pay us a compliment on our yard. That extra step really is appreciated

Today I had the team of Gabe and Bryan do my 1/2 acre home for mosquito defense. They did an amazing job and covered everything extremely well. In the past I have had horrible experience with this companies employees for the yard care service which I cancelled, however these guys for the mosquito control rocked and deserve a raise.

We signed up for their yearly service after having nine trees taken down in our yard. When we called true Green, we spoke to the sales person and told them we wanted aerating and seeding first and then services. The sales person agreed that we would start off with aerating and seeding followed by six more services, so we paid for the year in advance. The local branch said that they do not do aerating and seeding except in the fall and when we explained why we were doing that first we were sent to the corporate number. After you hold for an hour to speak to someone, their corporate representative Jana contacted the local branch manager Who agreed to aerating and seeding now and in the fall. I took off work so I can be here when they do the aerating but the technician came out to fertilize. You cannot speak to anybody locally and their corporate call center said I would receive a call within 15 to 20 minutes from the escalation team. It has now been over an hour and no call back. I find it very odd that you cannot speak to anybody locally. When you call their customer service line you will be on hold for at least 30 minutes. So far, this company has been a joke and now to get my money back, I will have to sit on hold for 30 to 40 minutes before someone speaks to me.

Had a follow service today due to the lack of care and attention from the last specialist who serviced my lawn. Gentlemen by the name of Kevin Hughes, showed up today and this guy was extremely professional, extremely knowledgeable/helpful and really took the time to explain the treatments administered to my lawn. After viewing other specialist who performed services, via ring cam, Kevin treated and cared my lawn as if it was his own. The other specialist only would spend no more than 5 minutes, treating my lawn and I was on the verge of canceling TruGreen Lawn Care Services altogether. I felt like I was paying for services and was not getting the lawn treatments that I signed up for. But then, this guy Kevin Hughes, shows up and actually saves the day. He is the only one I want to treat my property, moving forward. I hope other people view my review and take this serious. Kevin Hughes is the guy that really displayed professionalism, care, honesty and loyalty towards TruGreen and his daily tasks. Thank You Mr Kevin Hughes for being honest and a true professional.

I was given a days notice of my treatment. I would prefer a little more advanced notice so I can mow, pick up sticks etc.? They have a mobile app to show where the truck is but that doesn t tell me the time of arrival just a 4 hour window. It would help to narrow it down so I can put my dog up. This is my first year with TruGreen so the jury is still out. They have areas of improvement. I need time to see how effective their treatments are. I know I just talked to them about not throwing grass seeds in my flower beds this past fall and to use a drop spreader because now all the grass is coming up in my beds and I ll be picking it out by hand because they said chemicals would kill my flowers.

Joshua introduced himself and explained the treatment. I was surprised that he could do such a large property effectively in such a short time. I wasn t able to observe if every SF was covered.

We have the Plant and Shrub program with Tru Green. In the 6 years youve been doing our plants. You have created a spectacular hillside in our yard. We get comments from people all the time. Wanting to know how we were able to get this presentation in our yard.

While service was OK, once they have an agreement they automatically renew without your consent. I ve tried repeatedly to cancel due to costs, but once they get tentacles into you it s difficult to get loose. Finally had to put a block on my card for charges.

My first year with TruGreen was difficult. My yard needed to be seeded. I paid for the service and they did not seed the entire yard. When I told this to the Tech he said that the office didnt provide him with enough seed. I purchased additional seed from Lowes and completed the job myself. I then canceled the service. After discussions and promises from the Management team and my wife I unfortunately hired them back for another year. One of the services I had was the Mosquito Defense. The Tech came to the house and said that he could not perform the service because I have too many flowers and fruit trees. If they sprayed it would kill all of the pollinators. Because I prepaid the entire year I ended up paying for a service that wasnt performed. This year 2023, they started providing me with Services that I did not sign up for and were invoicing me. It has been three months. I have to call the office at least three times a week to cancel the appointments and services that I dont want. Somehow my online account shows that I have these services and appointments but the office promises me that they are canceled. I think they are thieves and are trying to charge me for some service that are not being performed and are not wanted. I think that is why they state that you do not need to be home when they perform the service as long as they have access to the yard. They can say that they did something and you have no way to prove it. You need to watch these people at all times to make sure they are performing the service that you pay for. I would not recommend their service. I have cancelled mine for this 2023 year and will not use them again.

When I signed up they said they would come out and test the soil to see what needed to be done. They never tested the soil and the technician was not very knowledgeable. For all I know, they sprayed water on my lawn. The management is near impossible to get hold of. You can always get a salesman, but not anyone that manages your lawn. Twice the service man just parked in front of our house and never did anything. The last time he came, he sprayed for not even a minute, packed up and left. All three times were billed to me. These are unsupervised lazy workers who will not do the job if they are not watched. Will never do business with them again, I would never recommend them to anyone. I will find another lawn service. They dont deserve one star, but you have to give one just to post.

Russell applied insect and disease control for my shrubs and bedding plants. I think he misdiagnosed a pest on one of my crapemyrtle trees though. I have a white scale on one tree that I believe is from an insect, Acanthococcus lagerstroemiae. Treatment is a root drenching pesticide called imminicloprate or dynotefuran according Texas A &M entomologist, Dr Merchant. Can Truegreen treat my tree?

At the beginning I was skeptical, but after the third application of fertilizer and weed control I am extremely happy that my lawn looks beautiful. I am also happy to talk to the technicians and so far they answered all my questions! Many thanks!!!!

Went on line for a quote, which they force you to give all your info on the website...Anyway, some lady called me immediately & I could barely hear her then she made some mic adjustment and it was better for a second & she faded out again. I said, I cant hear you can you please call me back. Never heard from her. Moving on. Company owners & shareholders need to know how bad their service is or its never going to change.

I have recorded two separate events at my residence where the technician never gets out of the truck. The last visit, today, the technician only got out of the truck to stick a TruGreen sign in my yard, completed the service ticket and drove away. I will publish the videos of the technician on YouTube and send to local media outlets to follow up. I will be cancelling my monthly service tomorrow. Its hard to apply 31.68 gallons of product from the cab of a truck. Back yard cameras show you never entered the back yard. Hello, I knocked on your door to speak with you about your service. Im sorry I missed you. As a follow-up to my visit, Ive left you notes below. Thank you for trusting us to service your property. Two door cameras never recorded you approaching the house, so this is a false statement on your service ticket. Other cameras show you never opened your driver side door to get out of the vehicle. If you have made it this far, save your money, do your research, and find a local landscaper to provide these services.

I wasn t here to see when he came, which I wish I was. But I know he came and sprayed.

Received text that tech showed up to my property to perform treatment and a few minutes later that service was completed. However, tech never set foot on my property. I was there wanting to ask tech questions about my yard so I know they lied about service. Called them to tell them what happened and all they could say was we will reschedule for free. So, rescheduled and did the same thing again. No show and charged for it. Now I m not sure if they even came to treat before when they say they do since I would be at work on those previous treatments. Customer service was rude and I can cancelled service. They refunded me for the one service and called me to find out why I m canceling and while I was explaining this to the customer service rep and he hung up on me or got disconnected but never called back. Stay away from this company. They just steal your money. Also, they don t listen to you when requesting to be on the no up selling list and just do the treatment you request. They still would call. Awful service.

The first service already had the weeds turning yellow, especially the wild garlic/onions. The reservice was just for an extra boost since those weeds tend to be more hardy and need that extra kick. Great job!

We signed up for a full year and paid in advance. After three treatments we are cancelling. The yard looked good before they started treating. Now it looks terrible. Brown spots all over and crab grass is spreading like wild fire. I had just re-seeded last fall and we had a beautiful new stand of grass on it this year. They have all but ruined all our hard work and efforts. Someone needs to check and see what it is they are really spraying. I will never ever again use TG.

We originally pre-paid for a years service to erradicate the clumps of Poa in the shady portion of our fescue blend lawn. We signed up in February and the sales rep assured us that they have a program which would be customized to address our issue. Up to now, this experience has been a complete waste of time and money and we have had to cancel our service. Since Poa is a cool season weed grass which was actively growing at the time we signed up, we asked to have a post-emergent sprayed on the affected areas. When the service tech came for the first treatment, he only had fertilizer and broadleaf weed control on his truck to treat our lawn. He said another tech would need to come out. After numerous calls to customer service, no products, for Poa, were ever applied. Now, 6 months later, I finally received a call from Randy. He is a manager at our local area office. He explained that this particular office doesnt treat Poa in fescue blend lawns. This completely contradicted what sales and customer service had told us. Therefore, we paid a lot of money for nothing. Our lawn is no better than when we were taking care of it ourselves. We had to cancel the service as we didnt get what we paid for. Proper communication is a definite problem here.

Gabriel is responsible for recovering our trust as customers following a bad experience with a technician on the prior treatment. Gabriel took time to professionally educate us about what was done, what to expect and details of what we were seeing in our lawn. He salvaged what could have been a lost customer and potentially multiple years of service revenue for TruGreen.

Knew my yard needed help so signed up for a year and have used them for about 16 months. The first couple of months went okay and after six months or so saw some improvement. Last September had aeration and overseeding and this spring was pleased to see a decent looking yard. In short time I realized I had ryegrass coming up everywhere which was green until it got warm then it died out and left big brown spots all over the yard. Never had ryegrass before overseeding. On top of that the aeration was not done to the entire yard. The last treatment I had the tech sprayed for weeds and the over spray got on my ground cover around the patio and plants at the edge of my flower bed and killed patches of them. Yard is back to same look as before Tru Green started so hundreds of dollars wasted. Feel like they used inferior products and grass for overseeding and careless with the weed killer spray. Was willing to give them the time and do the watering and correct mowing but almost a year and a half later my yard looks horrible. Dont waste hundreds like I have. DIY it. Dont even try talking to someone....its a study in frustration.

Randall, is a good manager. He listened to all my concerns and addressed all my questions. I highly recommend Trugreen for all your lawn and garden needs. Now I got to meet Tiffany and I ve got to say she s as good as Randy. She answered all my questions and even explained things about what I asked. Very nice to speak to her. She s very nice!! I had to have the aeration redone. Hunter came the second time and has done a more thorough job. Most of the specialists Tru Green has sent this year to keep my yard in shape have been excellent. Hunter is as well. Next Spring, I ll thank him again!

TruGreen has been around for a long time. Over the years, I see them at other homes, and I see they really do a good job.

Y all tore a huge hole in my dad s yard when your machine got stuck so bad you had to call a tow truck to drag it out and then refused to repair the lawn and fix the holes. I literally only pay you all to take my care of the lawn and you wrecked it as bad as its ever been

Easy to talk too and ask questions

This is so frustrating. TruGreen had come over for a lawn application. One of their workers hit our irrigation main pipe and broke it. He called his supervisor from our place and asked to escalate it. A week goes by with nothing. Not even a call. I called back 3 times and spoke with a Torey, a Fionce and James (who after getting all the details said he couldn t hear me and hung up)! Finally I got hold of a Mary and she said only the General manager can approve claims. Apparently they called once - which I don t know when. They ll try 2 more times before they close the ticket! How can they close a ticket on a damage caused by one of their own employee s inefficiency?!? I frankly don t know how a company can stoop so low. It is outright unethical. The quality of their seeding is terrible. There are huge patches that have been missed. If you have a choice, please go elsewhere. Do not use this company.

Russel was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, answering all of my questions and educating me about shrub and tree health and maintenance.

This is our second application on lawn service. We like receiving texts on when the technician is on the way and when he arrives. He is fast and efficient and we are looking forward to seeing results in the yard. Update 5/30/23: extra application on weeds that popped up from last visit. Technician was prompt and courteous and was in and out quickly. 7/18/23: another application. Fast and efficient. Starting to see a difference. 10/17/23: really like that the technician keeps me informed as to when he s coming, when he arrives. Haven t seen much change lately but winter is now on the way, so maybe by spring when things start to green up again.

I continually have an issue with weed control late in the summer and early fall. I would like a treatment to control weeds during this time.

The tech that came to aerate & overseed was excellent & very respectful.

Two years ago, you tripled the price over the previous year. I canceled the following season. A representative called, stating the price would be reduced to double. The rep promised I would have the same seven annual treatments just as the year before. This turned out to be a lie as you whittled the number of treatments to five as opposed to the promised seven. This was the first nail in the coffin. Your latest bungle? The tech came to the door (ring doorbell, monitored time). My neighbor watched as the tech laid product around a three to five foot perimeter directly encompassing the immediate perimeter of the house, failing to apply to the vast majority of the 1.1 acre property. The tech was in and out within 12 minutes! I called a representative to have the yard re-treated, and the rep promised that I would be contacted by a supervisor within 24 hours. Needless to say, this failed to happen. Three days later, I finally received a voice message from an obviously disgruntled manager who told me to call him back. Seriously? TruGreen has never responded to a concern unless it was broadcast on social media for the public to view and critique. Yet again, TruGreen crawled right back into their, Do as little as possible for as much financial gain as possible, mentality. To add insult to injury yet once again, I called customer service and asked what might be the approximate time they will show up. TruGreen said its now rescheduled for the third time. This is three times I had not been notified of a change in scheduling. Given the relatively large property, I spend six hours each time preparing, blowing leaves / mulching with the mower getting ready for a company that never bothers to show up and never apologizes for their continuous ineptitude. I am fed up with TruGreen and will never deal with this incompetent to the core company again! What a nightmare! Find another company. Any company would serve you better than TruGreen.

I appreciate the technicians comments on the invoice. I m never home when service is preformed, so I need that feedback to get the most benefit. They always tell me if they see something I need to be doing.

Tiffany with TruGreen truly has been the best person from this company to do my yard. After 2 times of people who showed up and did nothing, she took the time to thoroughly service the yard, even in the rain. I appreciate all her effort.

Workers are always friendly. They are helpful and go out of their way to help if I need something done. However, Ive had Tru Green for over 2 years at a very high cost, and when my husband was alive he did a better job. The team members are great, but the yard looks terrible

TruGreen often has problems with meeting schedules that that establishes with me. Perhaps it is related to the nature of their service but it can be frustrating. Their last service for me was aeration and overseeding but I dont believe they completed the work over the entirety of my lawn. I had asked that they do it (schedule) while I was home to observe, to which they agreed, but then they came while I was not home and indications were that they did not complete the job.

Alisha was efficient in her work. She spent time with me when she completed it. Alicia has an approachable style. She is an asset to the organization.
