trugreen is by far the worst company I have ever delt with. They make you an appointment so you put your life on hold because they cant read directions or call you and ask. Today I received a message that the service technician was on the way. Its 4:30pm a few minutes latter I received another message that the service cannot be completed. I payed alot of money for this service and it has been a crapy experience.

I will not do business with this company again, nor can I recommend it to any other person. I cannot schedule a day and time (not even a 4-hour window) for them to come do their job. Only 1 day notice is provided for the scheduled date of service, with NO ETA provided. Ive been told I can call the day of service to ask for an ETA, but nothing can be promised, Im just supposed to lock my dog up and wait until they decide to arrive. I have other things to do than wait for Tru-Green to show up whenever. So, Im paying this company a bundle to be treated like I am in service to the company, everything at their convenience. I was promised by a manager that the technician would arrive during a certain window of time (after 7 phone calls), and the tech arrived hours and hours outside that window, two separate times. I was informed that I must call the company AFTER the final service on my contract was completed in order to prevent them from automatically renewing my contract with them (something I fervently DO NOT WANT). My little, local, small business housekeeping service is able to reliably schedule my cleanings, both date AND time, and they keep their commitment. Why cant a big company like Tru-Green do the same? Too big to care, I suspect.

i understand getting the job quickly, but that should mean a methodical but well done job. Instead i got a guy who showed up and quickly began spraying while missing most of the plants. We have more than 100 plants in our yard and he supposably was able to complete it in no more than 10 minutes from the time he arrived to the time he drove away. I believe that he is indicative of this companies work ethic. I believe TrueGreen services should be avoided unless you like being treated poorly for high prices.

Been using the service for about a year an half and this spring I ve had more weeds than ever pop up so I called them because they speak so highly about there guarantee. To me spraying quarterly should have brought back less weeds than my neighbors so I called and they charged me and I was ok with that but I did give them a 7 out 10 for there personal survey they emailed me . This morning I get a call from a very rude person who works there who was verbally upset that I gave them a 7 . I told her that a person who gets sprayed quarterly shouldnt have these many weeds and she said I can send someone to respray but I told her you just sprayed two weeks ago this doesn t help me because I don t know how well that last spray is going to work . What would help is if you discounted or guaranteed your service fully. She was very rude and condescending the whole time . I asked for her supervisors name and number and she gave the name and email but wouldn t give the number so I told her instead cancel all future services I am done with trugeeen

Ignoring the No Soliciting sign on our door and bugging while Im working anyways. Also too lazy to even take the pathway and walk through our front yard! Well never do business with this company.

Damon Miles is a very responsive manager and his crew of application specialist do a really fine job. Adam is especially good in making sure the weeds are properly treated and in particular he insures the fence line and the area back from the fence lines are free of weed. This is a new contract requirement for this year and TruGreen Albuquerque has responded in a very professional manner in getting this new requirement under control. I highly recommend them in performing both customized lawn plan activity and lawn vegetation control.

Love their app so you know when they will be at your property. On time did a great job dependable is worth the price.

I signed up for a year of service for front and back yard for weed control. In my mind, a year is from one year to the next. But True Greens year is 6 sessions for the year only that you signed up for. I received a bill for one service after (there year) l, in my caseMarch 2023

I have a contract with TruGreen and they take care of all my yard needs throughout the year. They know the timing for pre-emergent application and also fertilization. Very happy to have them take care of my yard so professionally.

True green I such a bad run company the level of communication was so low you cant even rate it.

Had an appointment today for an assessment and no one showed up or called me to cancel but after reading these reviews it might have been a blessing in disguise.

Terrible experience, nothing they said they would do was done. The second visit the guy sat in his truck in front of our home then left, but his invoice said the work was done.

ZERO stars! This business consistently ignores DO NOT SOLICIT signs throughout our neighborhood, which as a whole is a do not solicit neighborhood with obvious signs as you drive in. They have been blanketing the neighborhood with their trash flyers shoved in our doors with total disregard to our verbal instructions to leave the neighborhood. Do no use this company. They do not respect the community.

The specialist to night was Derek. I was his last house of the day and although it was late (he actually finished in yhe dark) he didnt cut any corners and provided complete and thorough service. Kudos Derek to your professionalism and attention to detail.

TruGreen is a huge disappointment. I was excited to sign up for lawn services in September, 22, and I paid a lot of money in advance for about a year of treatment for my front and back yard. After about three months, they STOPPED treating my back yard. I called to ask why after each front yard service. One time I was told that I hadnt unlocked my gate (I had), once they said that I didnt have a gate (I do), and once they said that I didnt even have a back yard!!! Once they claimed they dont do contracts (I signed one for a year), and once they said my contract (???) indicated I would have service on my north yard (there is no north yard). I have called and told my story to about 10 different reps now, and each time they said the Albuquerque supervisor would call me back within 3 days. No one ever called, TruGreen never performed the service I paid for, and they denied my request for a refund or free treatments. I have been ripped off and lied to. Its a shame that businesses operate this way.

Before I hired Trugreen my property looked immaculate , now my xeriscape and lawn have more weeds than before and my lawn looks like it is dying, the technicians keep saying it s a fungus and that there is nothing they can do. When I ask for advice on what I can do to help, they tell me they don t know and that they are new, very poorly trained staff and horrible customer service. Also, the sales people fail to tell you that unless you call after a years service to cancel that they will continue to send their poorly trained staff to do the work even if you aren t home and charge you, no respect with a follow up phone call at the end of the year to see how you liked their service and to ask if you d like to continue service with them. I will not be renewing with Trugreen and will look to hire one of their competitors to see if they can fix this mess that they have made. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Non-existent customer service. I paid $500 upfront for the year for my lawn treatment in NM and I was given a specific day. I have called since twice to add note that I would like to be present for my first service. I learned later on that my appointment was never scheduled for the date I was promised. I m canceling the service today. be aware no customer service, no call back no escalation We cannot even reach the local branch. Be aware this is ridiculous

Let me save you some time and money. Do not hire them. Poor customer service, communication skills, and experience. Very sad that this business in in our city.

Dont bother prepaying for services, they wont show up to perform them. But their salespeople are awesome at calling you to sell more services they wont show up for. Multiple phone calls with customer service, they give me a new date that theyre allegedly coming out, and no one ever comes. Dont waste your time.

Engaged TruGreen to do pre-emergent and fertilize. The first guy came out and literally burn my lawn with whatever was used. I have multiple brown spots, and areas where the grass is completely gone thanks to TruGreen. They tried to blame it on my sprinklers but we ve had lush lawns since we ve owned the home. Also, weeds everywhere! So much for the pre-emergent they claim to use. Stay away! It s better to do your own pre-emergent and fertilizer than to have TruGreen come kill your grass.

Do not use this company. Totally wast of money. Have them on camera not doing what we paid for and lying about the service.

This is a company you cannot trust. They are not responsive to customer complaints and they charge you for services that they never perform. We waited at home received a notice they were on our property providing lawn and tree service and no one showed up. Called to let customer service know and all they gave us were excuses. They didn t forget to bill us for services that were never done. Cancelling our service and suggesting that you don t use them.

Tried to get a quote for treating weeds in my lawn. Spoke to 5 different people on three different days and no one could get me a quote. Five days later, someone called me back after I hired another company. Dont waste your time!

STAY AWAY from this business. They are terrible. My lawn is yellow, full of weeds, large dead spots, large areas of brown... and did I mention WEEDS. It is BAD. AND THEY DONT CARE. I have TWO contracts with them - for several years - and they fail at at both services. You can not speak to anyone in the office here in Albuquerque. And the main number is not any help either. I have begged for a manager with no luck. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I got railroaded into giving them my payment information and they promised someone would come to do an assessment of the issues in my yard before starting service. It never happened. Instead, I got a text stating they were scheduled to spray and it was not a convenient day or time for me. I called again and asked for an arborist to come to my home to assess the problems and they never showed up at the agreed upon time. So I called back and they reprimanded me on the phone, stating I had the times wrong, which I did not! I canceled the whole thing immediately. This company doesnt understand customer service. There is no way to speak to someone locally on the phone. You might as well go over to their office, if you can get in, and try to speak to someone there. I dont believe this company has good ethics. And from what reviewers have said here, they ruin your lawn and trees. Dont bother with these people.

Good service

TruGreen has gotten my small yard looking good. However, it was expensive. A 5 minute fertilizer/weed control application costs $65. My last service was for aeration and over-seeding. The charge was over $240! Thats the end for me. Im going with a small, local outfit.

After only one application Our lawn is already looking better.

UPDATE. **** see below. Have been using TruGreen for many years. They came for a regular service on my lawn. It didn t look good so they came back and put revive on at no charge. Four days later my lawn started turning brown. Customer service will not call me back after 10 business days. my total front yard is gone. No way to treat customers.*****corporate stepped in and worked out a deal to pay for the damages done by local TRUGREEN company. Local company doesn t seem to have any authority to make decisions.

Why dont you list tree care as a service? Thats all I use from your company.

Im afraid I cant give more than two stars. The weed prevention package service was ok.. works for a month or so, then you have weeds again between services. Then when I tried to cancel, it was nearly IMPOSSIBLE. Took weeks and three different people to make it happen. Trying Advantage Weed Control instead.

The first year we had them the service was great. This year our grass has so many brown spots. The last tech that was here told me I had to buy Revive or Ironite to put on my grass because it has a fungus. WHAT???? I am paying you for services and I have to buy product?? I mentioned the crab grass that is starting to grow and I was told there wasnt much they could do. The weeds growing are also not their problem. When I called the office I was switched to a salesman who proceeded to try to sell me their service because he wouldnt listen. When I finally got customer care I was told it would cost extra to rectify my problems. We will switch services. Do not waste your money.

It is highly disappointing to see the lawn dying in front of us ever since we have opted this service. We currently have the lawn fertilization and weed control taken care of by the trugreen. The verysight of the lawn disturbs us. Because we are used to seeing it lush green. We pay a good sum of money for the lawn care and maintenance and we get a poor qualith service. We dont mind paying huge amounts if it is improving the lawn condition but in this case the service is destroying the lawn gradually. Please stay away from this fancy corporate service.

I have been using trugreen for 3 months its was 600 for the year. not worth it!! Ive seen my yard go down hill the last 3months ... More weeds more brown and yellow spots . My Lawn looked better before tru green . Do not use this service

TruGreen provided fertilization for my lawn, trees, and shrubs. They also provided preemergent crabgrass control, broadleaf weed control, and pest treatment. I am particularly impressed with the thoroughness of their specialist Lucia Herrera, who goes above and beyond in providing competent and courteous service.

Customer service for scheduling sucks never can talk to local personnel, my new sod is dying!

Provided unfavorable feedback on mosquito/pest spray service, now my weed service has been canceled and not scheduled. I don t know if TruGreen is corporate ran or franchised operating in my region. What I do know is their customer service is just as horrible as their service. I wouldn t recommend to a friend or family, and would advise anyone else to be cautious when using this company and any of their services.

Previous customer and had a bad experience then. The new local manager assured me they would be responsive and control the weeds as well as the grubs. I left a message on Tuesday August 11, 2020 that Trugreen had treated my lawn for Grubs on July 28, 2020. My yard was beginning to show signs of stress and an unhealthy look to it. I began pulling up the grass and it was infested with Grubs. I called customer service to leave a message for the local manger to call me the same day. To date no manager or anyone has called me back. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN! PS weed control is me pulling milk weed and crabgrass everyday. Pathetic!

I paid to have my lawn serviced, front and back. Found out they haven t been doing the back although I ve been laying for it. Multiple calls and the issue is still not resolved. All they have to do is update the service description and notes but that continues to not be done. Additionally I haven t been given a refund or credit for the services I haven t been receiving. I ll upload some pictures so you can see what a TruGreen lawn really looks like.

Trugreen came and did a Desert Green service. Had them for two summers. The person that sprayed my yard killed my landscaping that Ive had for over 20 years. They also continued to spray without my permission and then billed me for their horrible service. Be careful with their billing and service.

I had some TruGreen sales reps come to my house and after seeing my yard said they could take care of the weeds and that in 30 days or less I would see a significant improvement. That I would be hosting bbqs at the 30 day mark. And quoted me something like $40 for the first treatment and then $60 from there on out. I took them at their word and signed up for their service. They also told me when I signed up that on the first visit I didnt have to be home to just mark what I wanted with Orange flagging tape (which I did). Well the day of the first appointment came up and I get a notice on my phone via the app that I was skipped (due to not being home). I called and they had the service tech call me and he came back to the house. He did the job and again told me I should see improvements within 30-45 days. That anything knee high roughly or under would die and then blow away and anything above roughly knee high I would have to pull. After about 35 days I the weeds that where no dead had died but showed no signs of doing what he said, but I let it go, I started to pull the weeds at where at my knees and higher as told. At the 40 day mark nothing else had changed so I called them and they sent someone else out. When he got here the weather would not let him proceed with the service and he got it put back on the schedule. They next lady that came out did a treatment and again told me in 30-45 days I would see improvement. So i waited again about 35 days after the service nothing was changing. By this time it was time for my next regular service anyway so they came out, did the service again, and again i waited, while waiting I received a bill for $102.42 which is no where near the price quoted. I called them and pretty much got a oh well attitude and that they wouldnt do it for that price. Well I waited to see if there would be any improvements and there was not at 45 days in. I cancelled the service and for the cost of a refill of my propane tank took a propane torch and had it cleared in a few hours. I would not recommend their services to my worst enemy.

Terrible service. I have been trying to get someone to come out to my property for weeks and anytime I call to make an appointment they just say someone will call you when they are on their way but no one has called me and they dont allow us to make appointments ahead of time. Its just random and not convenient at all. I guess all I can do is continue to wait for someone to call me and hope my plants/trees dont die by then...

We used this company for about a year. They re pretty pricey but we thought they d be worth it...not so much. When they d spray for weeds I d have to call them back because the job was incomplete. Also they didn t latch our side gate and our dog got out three different times. I called them about it after the second time to cancel service and they apologized profusely and offered a free servicing so I kept them. I had to call them again after the third time our dogs got out of the unlatched gate and again they offered a free service. I quit them that time though because losing my dogs is not worth any amount of free lawn service. Obviously this company doesn t care about your pups or they would be more diligent about latching gates.

I highly recommend TruGreen. Our grass, trees and roses are all healthy and beautiful now. We had TruGreen in Montana over 35 years ago and our yard was transformed from thistles to soft, beautifully green weed-free grass. So when our current home in Albuquerque had dandelion, clover and bare spots I called TruGreen. I got the same wonderful results in our lawn and pine trees as well as the roses. I highly recommend TruGreen.

We had our first visit from TruGreen. He was very informative and we learned our gardener totally set up our watering system wrong. We even went online & sure enough several web sites verified we were over watering and that we should not be doing a nighttime watering. No doubt his input will help our lawn to be healthy.

I have never had such a hard time getting a hold of a company to ask them to set up a new service. I have called 3 different times and each time I provided the whole story as to why I was calling only to be told that I was being transferred. I would be transferred anywhere from 3-5 times!!! And this was AFTER being given the local number to call only to be transferred again to a line where they told me they would have to transfer me to someone who was local and can help me???????? I tried calling back again - same thing happened. I decided to give it a go one last time the following day - and the exact same thing happened. I finally told the person on the phone what was going on (he didnt care) and I said I guess I would just try to reach out to another company who actually wanted to help - he simply replied ok, bye. Very frustrating. I guess I will be reaching out to another company who wants to make customer service easier.

I was actually pleased with past services and rates I was being charged. I stopped service during winter months and told them I would call in the spring to resume services. They came in April out and serviced my yard without me asking to but I figured what the heck no problem. They came and serviced my lawn again in May then I get a bill twice the amount I was previously paying. When I called customer service they made no attempt to correct the bill only offering to give me the next service for $27.00. Im dissapointed on the lack of making it right. I cant stand shady billing by this business. Customers Keep on top of your billing by this business.

I am glad that I don t have to be concerned about what I need to put in my lawn to keep a green in the closet to grow normally. I put new sod this summer and it was turning yellow and spotty and now it s green again and they filled it in with Which is going to make me be really proud of the lawn this next summer. There is a lot of communication from TruGreen. They are very prompt and precise about their service times only changes have been due to weather. I highly recommend TruGreen as your lawn specialist the lawn started improving for me after my first application.

The maintenance people who came out were very fast, efficient and explained everything in detail. They were able to kill off about 90% of the weeds and help jumpstart my lawn. People do need to understand that when they start coming out it is a marathon not a Sprint to get your yard taken care of. Theres a lot of follow-through work that you must do after they have set a good template for you to follow. The price was a little high, but it was worth it to get the yard looking good again and I look forward to next spring when everything starts to come out

I have been very pleased with the health of our trees since treatment began this year. TruGreens advanced notification of their pending treatments has permitted me to keep our cats indoors while treatment is about to take place. I also appreciate their advice on further care of our trees.

Not a good start, signed up for their summer service and made an appointment for today between 9-12. Nobody showed up or even called. Ridiculous.

Called to get an estimate, and ask a few questions about a project I needed. Representative was very rude and did not help me at all. Plus when you call you get an operator and it sounded like it is a large corporation I will continue to look and make sure it is someone local and with much better customer service.
