Just a brief back story of how Milligan Scapes came to be. Our owner Gary Milligan started this company with nothing more than some yard tools and a lawnmower in the back of a pick up truck. Moving forward to running a small landscaping company with his mother and father working the office doing all the nitty gritty details of book work. He has since evolved into a currently booming and successful company with an ever growing base of highly satisfied and recurring customers. Consecutively since 2011 we have been awarded by numerous entities for our performance in the landscape and lawn care industry. Milligan Scapes was awarded best of Albuquerque & Rio Rancho for landscaping & lawn care in 2019.

Milligan Scapes is the best, do yourself a favor and hire them! They took my goat head, dirt filled yard and turned it into a park. The workers know what they are doing. They are prompt, friendly and kind. They cleaned up my yard when they were done and even offered to haul things away for free. I never had to remind them of anything, they were on the ball. Mr. Milligan is extremely knowledgeable, kind and competent. He worked with me to fit my budget and there was NO pressure to do more.
Milligan Scapes was fantastic to work with! I had them build a wall for me around around my property. I was informed in advanced of the expected lead time and and they showed up exactly on the day they stated. They continued to work my project until its completion. Questions came up along the way, which were easily resolved to both of our benefit. I have recommended them to everyone I talk to and plan on using them again on future projects.
Gary, from the initial visit to completion was professional, respectful and stood by his word. His crew are some of the hardest working men I've ever seen. When I didn't care for a particular cobblestone, they quickly remedied the situation to my liking. My backyard is just lovely and I know my family and I will enjoy it for years to come. We recently had Milligan Scapes install a flagstone steppingstone walkway on 2 sides of our house. We had settled on a date but, happily, Gary Milligan called us when their schedule opened up and the work was done early. The crew of 3 men, Roger, Nicholas and Mike, arrived on time and worked hard for 2 days. They were professional and considerate and made adjustments as needed to be sure we were happy with the final product...and we were! They tidied up after the first day and did a really thorough clean up at the end of the job. If we need other landscaping work in the future we would call them again.
If you are looking for quality landscaping that’s done right the first time, hire Milligan Scapes. I considered two other companies for this project. My experience with this company was excellent from start to finish. The work was done on time as promised at the agreed upon rate. Mr. Milligan was on time for every meeting scheduled. I was presented with a couple of options at first. They were both very good. I had come up with a couple of different ideas based on what they had presented. They made the modifications quickly to my request. Based on the professionalism and timely manner in making my modifications, I decided to hire them. The crew that came to my home every day was top notch. Professional, Informative, and Respectful at all times. It was a fun experience watching the transformation taking place. If the need arises, I will hire Milligan Scapes again, and highly recommend them to anyone!
I recently moved in to a new home. I wanted to turn the back yard into something special. A friend had recommended this company, and I'm so glad that he did. They did a wonderful job making my backyard look awesome. They were very responsive with any questions or concerns that I had. They do an amazing, professional job. Two men in a Milligan truck hit a woman in her car and then took off when confronted! They were caught on video so I hope they got fired. That poor woman!
Have been waiting 3 months to have some plants replaced that are still under warranty
Milligan is expensive and in my experience did not follow up with plants that died. I called and emailed him three times without the courtesy of any response. He finally did respond to my last email instructing me that he was too busy to respond and did say that he backs his product and would take care of the problem. I told him I have no time for someone who has no time for me. I did like his work but I have no time for someone who cannot take the time to tell me he didn t have the time respond yo my prior contacts.
These guys work very hard.

My husband had asked for a quote to do a small area in our backyard. One of the owners came out to look at everything and said he didnt even have to do measurements and that they can do the measurements by GPS. They said that they would have a quote within 48 hours and they never called back never sent an email. my husband sent a text and they didnt even respond. I wouldnt recommend them, if they cant even return a phone call to even say you know we cant do the job for you however instead they just decided to completely ignored us
I got my quote on the spot and they came and did the work 9 days early than what was scheduled. They are fast and my backyard looks amazing! Hard workers!

We used Milligan Scapes to replace an old drip irrigation system and to create ground cover for the backyard. They installed SYNlawn which is beautiful and our dogs love lying on it. They also put in small plants as ground cover. Everything looks very nice.
Gary and his highly professional and productive crew performed a stellar landscaping transformation on our entire property. From our initial meeting, Gary showed a high level of professionalism and patience in our design journey. He provided detailed architectural renderings and drawings that captured our design ideas. I called to get a quote. They never called back. I then called again asking why I havent received a call back. The person on phone was very rude. She told me that she would tell them not to call me back. This is unprofessional. Iwill never call them again!
I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted for my front yard. Garys designer really brought it to life! Milligan Scapes has the hardest working guys I have ever seen. My front yard was completed in just two days and is beautiful. They left everything clean and tidy.
I have seen several of the properties serviced by Milligan Scapes. Each and every one of them having different needs and they all, including my own, look fabulous! I have met countless business owners in my 65 years and Gary Milligan just might be the most hands-on owner I have ever met. His crews, I have met several of them, over the years of service, are efficient and friendly. Oh! Have you seen any of his ponds and fountains! I dont know which one I like best. The variety of styles and shapes is amazing! If you want a QUALITY job done for a fair price, Gary is your guy. One more thing, he started his business with one lawnmower in high school and is now among the most respected landscapers in the area, not just Abq!!!

Gary and his crew were great!! Gary wrote an estimate on site. His site foreman was Craig and also killed it! Ran into a few road blocks that they quickly resolved. Could not be happier! Also came with a 5 year warranty!! Hands down Milligan will be doing all my landscaping in the future.

Milligan Scapes did a complete remake of our front yard and we couldnt be happier! Had new concrete driveway for RV access, pavers with drain system on existing driveway, desert landscaping and plants! Totally changes appearance of house, very inviting. Gary very responsive, crews were efficient, showed up on time, and meticulous on detailed work. HIgh quality and very professional.
These guys are rockstars in Landscape maintenance. Every time I look at my clean yard it makes me so happy. Careful but thorough! I thought it wasnt possible to hire someone that would care the same way I care about my plants, sprinklers, and drips but they sure do.

Spring was arriving in a few days, so after last year s excellent experience with MILLIGAN SCAPES, we contacted them again to prepare our lawns this year. They came out right on schedule, went immediately to work, and did a fantastic job! In fact, Brandon did such a thorough job of power raking, aerating, and fertilizing, that we decided to hire Milligan Scapes for subsequent bi-weekly lawn maintenance. Their prices are quite reasonable for the high quality of work performed. Very highly recommended.
Love this group. Great folks, great service, great knowledge and expertise. I never have to worry anymore if a lawn or sprinkler problem is going to be fixed. They take care of everything. Service is their main goal, and its modeled from the top down.

Gary and his crew is great! It matters to him! He personally is involved which is really nice! They leave a note every time they come to our gated community which lets us know what they did that day. They come weekly!

After researching several Albuquerque landscaping companies, we chose Milligan Scapes and are so glad we did! Mr. Milligan first came to give us an estimate, then his crew arrived a few days later right on schedule, and they stayed super busy all day! They were all very friendly, hard-working, efficient and professional, including leaving us detailed daily watering instructions. The crew was extremely careful and neat, and totally cleaned up our grounds before they left. Now we have a beautiful perfect lawn that we are thoroughly enjoying. We absolutely recommend Milligan Scapes.
I live in a condominium and the crew sometimes skips cleaning certain area. This time my unit. They forgot? Although I call them, they never respond.
I interviewed a number of Landscaping Contractor. When I called Milligan Scapes references I had to ask are they really that nice? It was not what I was used to. The answer was always YES. While they were working my friend commented on how professional they were with their safety cones and clean workplace. I am very happy with my new driveway.
